## What is WinEx?

Roctek’s WinEx Grade is a quantity takeoff and analysis tool. This solution allows you to take a PDF or other supported image formats and import PDF linework, import CAD linework, or use assisted-drawing tools to enter linework in order to describe the existing site, adjustments to the existing site, the proposed site, and adjustments to the proposed site. Once entered or imported the user can get lengths, square footages, and volumes for grading, site materials, and other common sitework items.

Amazing customer support and feedback. From training calls to job checks, the support team is always willing to help. The software is dynamic in its abilities and has saved our company an immense amount of time on bid work.

Pros

The user friendly interface and the helpfulness of the support staff made learning the software a lot less daunting than I ever dreamed it would be.

Cons

Install on the computer that I was using was a bit time consuming. Luckily, the support team helped me resolve my issues.

Aside from being a beautiful, easy-to-use program, WinEx goes above and beyond with its phenomenal customer service. As someone who has spent almost a decade in the service industry, I have never interacted with a team that communicates with each other so effectively while aiding customers. All calls are answered politely and promptly. The staff I have encountered, (\[sensitive content hidden\],) have not only answered any questions I had with this program but ensured I left their calls with a deeper understanding of how the program works. This program is phenomenal and using it is one of my favorite parts of my job.

Pros

The more I learn to use this program, the easier and more enjoyable my job becomes. This software allows for personal customization while providing various functions that guarantee precise calculations. From calculating basic lengths to complex equations, this program can handle it all and more.

Cons

Sometimes the program can be slightly finicky. When this happens, I have to uninstall and reinstall it on my computer. However, the process is quick and noncomplex.

I have done some very accurate takeoffs. Again, the customer service is the best of any I have received.

The software works great but the customer service is phenomenal!!!

I have not come across anything that would qualify for a least liked.

Pros

The cost compared to other similar programs

Cons

The graphics in the 3D view could be a little more robust The way you do vectozrizing of plans

Reasons for choosing WinEx

I felt that I was getting a more superior product for a little more money.

I have been in a position doing construction estimating for the past 5 years. I just started doing earthwork take-offs a few months ago. I had never done a mass earthwork take-off prior to using this software. The team at Rocktek has been amazing to work with. On day one, I did the basic starters training course. It only took about an hour to go through. From that moment, I was able to explore the software and easily figure out how to implement additional features. There software is not bogged down with a bunch of features/information that is not applicable. Everything is designed for a streamline success of your earthwork take-offs.

Pros

\-Quick response from Rocktek-Training is very simple and straight forward-The reports given are very informative and gives you exactly what you need. -Making quick adjustments to existing take-offs is very simple-If you have any questions, no matter how simple. They are happy to sit with you and work through it all.

Cons

\-Have not found any yet that impact my work or speed getting take-off completed.

We are extremely satisfied with this product. The people we work with are absolutely amazed in how it works and the accuracy. The staff goes above and beyond to be helpful.

Pros

As a small company this software has allowed me to bid jobs with bigger companies.

Cons

We do not bid too many jobs and the software is so advanced we need to refresh more often. Although it’s considered a con we call in to get help and get our jobs done.

I experienced a heavy learning curve with this software, however, the customer support has been excellent and they really know their product and want to help others understand it as well

Pros

Once all the data is input successfully, the reporting that the program will give you is very thorough and detailed.

Cons

Not enough online resources if you have a question about how to do something, you will likely always have to call their customer support line
