### "The sales force you need "

September 19, 2022

5.0

Well since I use the product daily I'd say its very easy to use and easy to interact with and quite interesting.

Pros

Honestly the most important is the customer care team as we all know its the most integral part of any business and sales force takes this to another level thst has been missing in the service.

Cons

For a start up the price is a bit much but its worth it for yiur growth and development.

### "Salesforce can be customized to fit the organization."

February 28, 2018

5.0

I personally do not get any benefit from the software as I am a micro business and the cost puts it well out of my reach. I set up, customize and administer Salesforce instances for other companies. I can see how larger companies benefit from Salesforce through the customization options and large extension marketplace available. You can make Salesforce fit you or your team vs trying to make your team fit into the CRM.

Pros

Almost everything can be customized to fit the way you or your team or teams work. Other CRM's force you to change your work habits to fit into their system. Salesforce lets you create many different types of fields and record types and layouts allowing you to customize right down the every member on every team if needed.

Cons

First the price. It's far too expensive for freelance users and micro businesses. There should be a monthly subscription option for single users or very small teams of 1-3 then on top of the price many of the things that should be available out of the box must be handed with paid extensions adding to the cost. Something as simple as being able to use a start and end date (common to advertisers and those who sells subscriptions) to automatically divide revenue using default line item schedules needs to be handled with a subscription to an extension.

### "Not the easiest product to use, but its sheer functionality makes it hard to replace."

January 29, 2019

4.0

Ultimately, Salesforce is a hard tool to review. On the one hand, there's just nothing else out there with the power and functionality. Major organizations all over use Salesforce. On the other hand, it can be a very frustrating experience that forces organizations to do it the Salesforce way. You do not want to push against the grain on this tool, unless you want to spend countless hours with custom code and modules. In the end, it's all about your needs. If you need a robust tool to handle complicated lead generation flows and customer pipelines, then there's not much else. Else, I'd stay away until you have absolutely outgrow your current CRM.

Pros

Nearly every tool out there integrates with Salesforce in some way. The software ecosystem around this tool is truly mind-boggling and any serious review of the existing competitors in the market will show why. It's hard to find something else that can handle enterprise use cases as well as Salesforce. From lead and opportunity funnels to robust analytics, Salesforce covers most of what an organization needs from a CRM.

Cons

You would think a tool that has been around for so long and is so widely used would have received a thorough UI/UX treatment that makes it a pleasure to use. Unfortunately this isn't the case. Not even close. In spite of a somewhat recent update to its UI called lightning, Salesforce is simply not a simple tool to use. Whether it's the head-scratching omissions that you can't believe Salesforce doesn't account for, or the customizations that are painful to implement, this CRM tool will definitely have you questioning your sanity at times. It's all the more perplexing when you consider how popular it is. Also worth mentioning is the almost obligatory paid support that the company pushes. Despite not owning their own onboarding services, they always have a non-affiliated tech partner that's all too willing to help you set up your tool for a hefty hourly rate. Simply not something that contributes to a delightful experience.

### "Salesforce Sales Cloud - access your leads from anywhere"

December 12, 2021

5.0

This tool allows our network of sales & marketers to use the same system for all their activities. It has eliminated redundancy of some calls and make our customers happier because they aren't getting contacted by numerous people for the same issues. I would highly recommend you stay with it to get over the learning curve and it will be worth the time!

Pros

The cloud aspects are the best feature since you can log in from any device in any location. It was pretty easy to integrate once the set up was complete and is easy to maintain once the system is used to the data entry. Really helpful to make sure that your customers are getting the attention they need as it has helpful prompts and notes sections.

Cons

It is a bit of a hurdle to get the team used to using the software - especially the legacy employees that are set in their ways. The tool does take some getting used to and navigation can be a little tricky when you are learning. So long as you apply the effort, the rewards will be worthwhile.

It has been a great tool to track and report on our sales leads and activities and pipeline

### "Big Name Big Deal"

November 23, 2021

3.0

I once was a raving salesforce fan. That ship sailed. I am no longer much of a fan. The product has gotten too complicated for smaller business units. They don't need all the features. They don't need the price. The monthly cost is one thing. The set up and integration costs are huge. Can't bring myself to spend the money for that when other options are more than viable and more than competitively priced.

Pros

I've been a salesforce administrator 3 times. At one of the companies we integrated nearly everything into salesforce. The joke was the janitor couldn't take out the trash without a salesforce entry. It does some things well. But, over the years it has become too bloated. Small companies just don't need all the functionality and costs.

Cons

The cost has gotten too high. There are competitors on the market that do it very well for a lot less. Programming used to be pretty easy. That has gotten more difficult over the years. To the point where I am no longer a fan. I am a firm believer in CRM. I built my first CRM from scratch in 1988. There was no shrink wrap back then. But the program has gotten bloated and suffers from mission creep.

Reason for choosing Salesforce Sales Cloud

sales reps were more familiar with the name.

### "Great product which holds great promise but with a rather unintuitive and unimaginative UI"

August 21, 2018

4.0

As long as you have the required experience handling sfdc, and sufficient resources to spend you should be ok. Therefore it is very important to understand and be clear about the long term and short term goals of your company and only then test the salesforcedotcom waters. Personal experience has been that with every release the whole layout and frequently used features could change, leaving you hanging high and drive. Having discussed the pros and cons, the fact remains that salesforce is still the leading provider of CRM tools. As long as you know what you are getting yourself into, and are clear about how sfdc can help boost your revenue and guarantee a return on your investment, you are in a good place. Overall experience has been very decent.

Pros

There are several amazing features in Salesforce. 1st is it is very easy to integrate various dialers into salesforce. So every call/email/conversation being made by every rep is configured, to go directly into salesforce. Thus making all calls along with their respective metadata available in one place. These could then be used in any way deemed appropriate. 2. Setting up various integrations used by various clients to work with salesforce is rather easy. It doesn't take too much effort or time. 3. It is cloud based (I know, right this, is 2018!!) so diverse remote teams can make the most out of it. Everything sits on Salesforce. No need for setting up a data center and all that. 4. Business Automation + Customization as desired can be done.

Cons

It is practical only for big teams with lot of funds and resources to spare. Doing very simple tasks like generating simple reports can be a very tedious and annoying process necessitating the user to know the ins and outs of the platform. Customer Service is good, but only when available. For new comers, beginners, and small companies the whole sfdc experience can be rather daunting and painful. Although efficient, the UI is not very pretty or friendly to use. It could definitely use a lot of improvement.

### "Salesforce on an administrators review."

March 12, 2021

4.0

I can say I had a lot of fun using it as an Administrator. At first, it's very challenging specially for the newbies like handling this kind of application but with daily management and training you'll find Salesforce very helpful not just for the business but also on the personal skill set that I gained with years of using it.

Pros

What I like the most with Salesforce its automation and analytics. It makes our job easier as an admin to maintain the application and and also to manage different end users that rely on its function to deliver the needs of the business.

Cons

The complexity. Sometimes its very hard to do some task since the application it self is designed with such complexity. Sometimes I found it hard to follow some procedure in salesforce specially when handling it for the first time.

### "It's just not user-friendly"

May 17, 2018

2.0

Salesforce provides a great platform to pull together all of your customer touch points into a single solution for tracking and the monitoring of customer health.

Pros

Salesforce is very customizable and you can build a lot on top of it and get to a powerful application with enough work. They also have a lot to offer for almost any organization from an email, live chat, phone logging and a lot of integrations you can work with.

Cons

My main heartache with Salesforce is it is in no way user-friendly. Each action takes 3 more clicks than I would expect to have in another system and almost nothing is intuitive. There are a lot of add-ons and customizations you can make to Salesforce and these can be great but require a lot of manual coding and result in an end product which produces the result but is clunky and has the design style of Windows 98. There are simple things that simply don't work as you would expect such as you are unable to use SF merge codes in the email signature but rather are forced to set these up using an email template. This means that you cannot automate data to be pulled into an email signature and are forced to select a template each time you close your email if you wish to sign it with merged fields.

### "Our Organization's Backbone"

November 7, 2019

5.0

Overall, Salesforce is the backbone of our organization. Each department relies on the software for different functionalities, but collectively each of our employees logs into Salesforce on a daily basis.

Pros

There really isn't much to not love about Salesforce. Currently, our organization uses Salesforce for just about everything. Our sales executives manage leads, our account managers manage clients, service departments manage projects and assignments, and our corporate marketing department manages inbound leads and outbound email marketing efforts. This software really does it all.

Cons

I would say that the area Salesforce has the most room for improvement is their reporting and analytics functionalities. As far as their integration partners, we've wanted more out of their analytics provided for email campaigns.

### "Growing Into a Mature Salesforce Experience"

June 3, 2019

4.0

Overall, as a CRM tool, I am very satisfied with Salesforce. From day 1, the tool enhanced our CRM user experience significantly. I am excited for our future with Salesforce as we grow in our maturity with the tool and the tool itself continues to evolve.

Pros

We upgraded to Salesforce from our previous CRM system. Salesforce performs well as CRM but really takes off in terms of flexibility. The tool allows our organization to shape how we govern and enforce by having a multitude of options of how we can design within the tool. It allows us to be creative in how we tackle challenges and also avoid unnecessary process bloat that we have experiences with other tools. Being able to keep our operating processes as lean as possible using Salesforce is critical to staying effective.

Cons

Out of the box, I found Salesforce to be a powerful tool but I would admit to feeling growing pains throughout the organization as we gained adoption and tried to expand how we used the tool. If you speak to an industry peer with several years of Salesforce usage under their belt, you will most likely be given a glowing review. Years 1-2 with Salesforce have been at sometimes challenging as we try to balance our current needs with where we want the tool to go in the future.

### "Cost effective and very efficient CRM "

I helped in implementing corporate engagement plan for donation management. It has easily defined schema and took less time to customize the module.

Pros

Easily defined, fully connected and talking features. It is widely popular in each industry sector, market leader and radical in changing the whole ecosystem of CRM industry. SaaS or PaaS it has changed whole ecosystem. Every company which is on on Salesforce has saved tonnes of money and time while focusing on their potential.

Cons

### "Garbage"

February 8, 2019

1.0

Pros

I am stuck between a rock and hard place with this crap company. They have done such a good job at becoming the #1 platform that you can basically only find integration to salesforce and no other CRM's. If I had another suitable option with the same ease of use and the same volume of integrations to 3rd party apps, I would have switched a LONG time ago. I have 16 years of experience using and implementing salesforce and I do enjoy the ease of use of the platform. What I don't enjoy is the completely unresponsive customer service skills and a general lack of ownership for any issues with the system. This could be billing, functionality, sales, etc. The response is either non-existent or extremely slow (and I'm not talking 24 hours... I'm talking 2 weeks!) Their salespeople are totally unknowledgeable about their own products and current promotions and the management of their sales staff is the worst I've ever experienced (I've been in sales at Fortune 100 companies for 16+ years). I've sent forward emails to rep. to try to get resolution of my issues.... nothing from him or anyone else. It's just a total shit show at this company.

Cons

The people and processes. Get it together.

### "Salesforce Sales Cloud - Must Read"

September 24, 2022

4.0

Pros

Pros: 1. Salesforce is a versatile platform that can serve many industries. 2. It is easy to send contracts to clients and view their information. 3. It is also easy to manage data in an efficient way and track the company's growth and sales with the help of reports.. 4. Salesforce provides a good way for companies to connect with their customers and provide them with excellent customer service.. 5 .It helps businesses grow by providing them with valuable insights into their customers' needs and preferences.

Cons

Cons: 1. Limited customization options: One of the main cons of Salesforce is that it can be difficult to customize the platform to fit your specific needs and business processes. While Salesforce does offer some customization options, they are often limited in scope and can be expensive to implement. 2. Difficult to use for non-technical users: Another downside of Salesforce is that it can be difficult for non-technical users to learn how to use all of its features effectively. This learning curve can make it challenging for businesses to get the most out of the platform without investing in extensive training for their staff members. 3. Requires ongoing maintenance: Another con of using Salesforce is that it requires ongoing maintenance in order keep everything running smoothly. This includes regularly patching any security vulnerabilities as well as making sure all customizations are compatible with each other and up-to-date with the latest version of Salesforce .

### "The standard in CRMs"

May 12, 2021

5.0

Overall has been great - and highly recommend based on using SF and having it run our sales org.

Pros

I love that it is (when used correctly) the source of truth, and that while not everyone in the org will have access, it creates a general level of information sharing pivotal in any growing business. I love the ability to customize, run reports, create dashboards, and identify risks easily.

Cons

I do find that some of the logic is difficult - and there are certain things that I just don't know how to use, so keep that in mind. Three things I would love to see as standard: 1) Be able to have a contract follow the term of an opportunity. if the contract is for a 3-year contract, the contact is usually added to the first-year opportunity - it doesn't follow each year. 2) Integration tools for emails be added to opportunities, or accounts, not people - we have massive contact turnover so when one leaves, we lose those communications as associated to the account 3) templates for standard business rules in the dashboards - ie: a renewal report for existing customers - a template that would be easy to edit based on your customizations - but not having to start from scratch.
