### "Jack of all trades in the CRM world, yet, imperfect and expensive."

July 27, 2018

5.0

Pros

It's a very complex and versatile piece of software, there's a lot to like about it: - it can be used for Sales and Service - it is cloud-based and can be used by teams scattered around the whole world - it can be customised to suit all business types, from selling companies to clinics etc. - it has a very rich marketplace, if you did not find what you were after baked in, you will probably find it in the AppExchange - it has a lot of integrations, e.g. email, CTI - it is cross-platform, you can use it on phones, tablets, MacOS, iOS, Android, Windows, Linux - it is very secure and has a very granular security options - you have access to all your data, you can export raw data anytime you need it for security and migration purposes - it has an insane deal of automation, you can apply a lot of automatic jobs, workflows, processes that will automate your daily tasks, allowing you to focus on the most important tasks for your business cutting down on the admin for the regular users

Cons

\- first of all, it is quite expensive, on the other hand, building and using an in-house CRM can be even more expensive, before purchasing, however, make sure if you need all the bells and whistles, as you might just as well get a competitor's CRM that will suit your needs and will be cheaper - complexity has its price, to configure all of this, you will need a bunch of well trained certified and experienced admins, employing incompetent admins will expose your business to unnecessary downtimes - competent and experienced admins, on the other hand, are also very expensive and not necessarily easy to find - Salesforce can be very fragile to changes, making a small change can sometimes cause a chain reaction immobilizing your business, every change has to be thoroughly tested in Sandboxes Before deciding to use Salesforce I recommend doing a research to make sure your business will benefit from Salesforce's features. It is a great tool and can really help your business provided there is a good justification. Otherwise, you might be better off with something simpler.

It can be used not only as SAAS CRM solution. A lot of business needs can be accomplished using Salesforce.

Cons

### "Top-performing CRM tool with great features"

March 16, 2023

4.0

Overall, Salesforce Sales Cloud helped our business to streamline operations, improve customer engagement, and drive revenue growth.

Pros

One con is the fact that Salesforce Sales Coud is highly customizable. Also, it's a cloud-based tool, so it can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection. Another con is the fact that it has a mobile app and also strong security features. Lastly, Salesforce offers excellent customer support, including online resources and training.

Cons

Salesforce Sales Cloud can be complex and overwhelming, especially for new users that are not familiar with the platform. It can also be a bit expensive since it requires ongoing investment in training, customization and support.

### "Salesforce is the best CRM if money is no issue and you customize it to your needs"

May 11, 2021

5.0

SFS was a great solution for a company I worked for because I was able to spend the time to configure for optimal use. By understand the needs of the sales team, support team, and even our engineers who had minimal interaction with SFS, I was able to achieve a lot. I never got us into internal messaging, but I did improve our lead capture and qualification process with SFS.

Pros

SFS is a very powerful piece of software that is a dream if you take the the time to configure it and a nightmare if you don't. Those who fail with SFS are the people who think it's a turnkey solution that you can just buy and start using. Nope. You need to configure the heck out of it to suit your needs. If you take it seriously, capture workflows and goals for your team well, and take the time to set it up, you will be very happy with this solution. It doesn't need to take years, but it does take dedicated time.

Cons

The pricing is high. Social media tools for the application are pretty weak. Plus, out of the box, it's overwhelming and just not usable.

Our \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] liked the power of Salesforce and felt that a weak sales pipeline would hurt us. So, we focused on optimizing, getting many module solutions to add to Salesforce, and it was working well. The sheer mass of options in the Salesforce Marketplace was also impressive and led to us thinking this was the right solution for people not afraid of paying for the premium option.

### "Salesforce for Customize and dynamic CRM"

February 19, 2022

4.0

I personally like Salesforce CRM because of its user friendly nature and lot of features than my previous CRM. It actually done it's job and helps me in closing deals in an effective way.

Pros

Salesforce CRM stand tall than other CRMs for its dynamic and customising features, we can customize nearly all the features in it as per our requirement. Lead management is simply superb, and the dashboard is great in terms of graphics and data representation.

Cons

Nothing much to say about drawback of Salesforce, but the subscription comes with lot more features which has little or no use. Response time should improve from the support team.

### "Salesforce is Awesome!"

April 28, 2021

5.0

Easy to use and easy to program. One thing I didn't mention that I really like is that we can program Salesforce to integrate with various other programs. This has made it possible to streamline our processes. Because of this, Salesforce is quickly becoming our one-stop-shop for EVERYTYHING we do. When we do get to that point, our recruiters will be completely unstoppable!

Pros

There are various software that have the same end-goal as Salesforce. I have used many of them and have wanted to throw the computer through the wall. Not with Salesforce! It is intuitive and extremely user-friendly. All I have to do is be curious about what I want out of the software, and I can find it in the obvious places. Salesforce is extremely customizable for the individual user, and I really appreciate that. As a corporate trainer, I don't need all of the functions that the recruiters or sales managers need--so I don't even have them up. Rather, I have reports, jobs, candidates, etc. which are functions that I do use. My most favorite aspect of Salesforce is the variety of reports that I can make. What's better is that these reports are easily savable and will refresh with the click of a button. This helps me look at data easily without wanting to pull-out my hair!

Cons

This might seem petty, but when new users log-on to salesforce, it sometimes puts them in a sort of "feedback loop." What happens is that when they hit "reset password," it will send them an email with a link. When they click on the link, it will take them to a screen that requires them to put in their email address to "reset their password." It then sends another link and the process starts all over again. We have learned that one of our administrators needs to reset the user, and then it usually works out just fine. The problem is that if a user needs to reset their password, they actually need to be reset completely. We haven't found a way around this yet.

### "Game changer when dealing with larger businesses"

March 3, 2022

5.0

Very good, staff were very easy to speak to and actually they really helped me find other software or even referred me to another company for something else that I needed. Staff were perfect and very knowledgeable and attentive

Pros

Integrating, once we set up our system and what we were going to use it for, this did a world of good keeping us organised. We were only a business of 4 when we started and knew fairly early on relationships with local businesses were key to us staying open, after an incredibly helpful and informative call with sales force it made things so easy to set up. I didn’t know how much CRM in a software at the time would help but after taking the chance and settling into it with the team it because a great tool to use, especially after we hired staff that were more knowledgeable about the software themselves. Managing our business accounts with sales force is the best thing we did.

Cons

It’s expensive and getting started we worried about whether we would be able to afford it long term but it pays for itself.

### "Salesforce is the best Sales Cloud Platform?"

March 16, 2023

5.0

### "One shot solution for Business to maintain Sales and Leads"

September 26, 2021

5.0

Experience with salesforce is amazing as it is a place where you get to implement all the out of box functionalities and provide a great solution to the business. The automation tool have made most of the task very easy and in a organized way. Lightning Components are developed which can display and capture the data from the user which is great . Most of the things can be done using standard functionalities and if not then we can use apex classes to implement business logic and using that there is no limits in salesforce you can do whatever implementation you can think of .

Pros

Salesforce service cloud a complete package of solution to the business or industry which has there product and sales , Leads , Campaigns etc are included . There are out of the box functionality which helps the business with multiple automation tools etc. There are standard object such as Campaigns , Trade Shows , Leads, Pricebook etc which can directly be used to store the data . There are tools of salesforce such as workflowes , process builder , flows which are used to automate things such as record update or sending a email to the client automatically. We can build lightning components which can be used as a User Interface by the client to add the details and interested area. Leads can be generated through multiple campaigns where a client login and shows interest in some products . Those leads are assigned to a queue or a particular team using Lead assignment rules so that they can work on it and convert the Lead . Salesforce is a cloud based technology so it is available with you wherever you go . The data will be stored in Salesforce itself and there is no chance to lose data of clients . Overall its a great package provided by Salesforce to large business to make things easy for them.

Cons

The lightning experience is really slow as compared to Classic . it usually takes time to reload the website as it is totally cloud based technology . They cn much better work on the user interface to make it real quick as loading the Lightning Components and web components takes time to load . The mobile experience on Tabs is not that great and can be improved.

### "For sales it is an excellent CRM tool"

August 24, 2023

4.0

I've found it to be quite useful for prospecting, and I imagine that eventually every salesperson will be seeking for a platform as user- and maintenance-friendly as this one. The biggest issue that salesforce has helped me with is keeping track of and documenting all of the potential clients that are interested in purchasing our goods.

Pros

I enjoy how Salesforce Sales cloud shows me the status of every deal in progress. Potentially lucrative transactions can be monitored and sorted by me. I can enter work and then generate unique reports.

Cons

It ended up costing our company a lot of money. that was the main cause for alarm. However, it had excellent functionality. Data entry can be a burden at times.

### "My experience is positive regarding this software because it is very practical and offers security"

April 29, 2018

5.0

I must say that this software has given me several benefits starting with the price-product ratio. The cost is low if we consider how powerful the software is. In turn, the savings in time and money that means being able to work from anywhere is something very positive. Sometimes I travel outside the state and the fact of having this work tool prevents me from having to buy a ticket, take a plane and return to a meeting. Simply from any platform (in my case a laptop) I can sit down in the lobby of the hotel where I am staying and share documents, modify them, work online with my project colleagues in the company and the other companies that make up the institution for which I work. This product has simplified my work and my life. I owe him 3 promotions since I usually excel in the assigned projects. My experience has been very positive in that sense and I have a lot to thank for this product.

Pros

One of the aspects that I value most about this software is the possibility it offers me to work from anywhere. My work demands to travel continuously and the fact of being able to access the cloud from any laptop, tablet, smart phone or table computer and sharing information and tasks with my co-workers is very positive. And the best thing is that this software gives me total security that others do not guarantee me. Knowing that my data, my projects and my documents are well protected, generate me a lot of confidence, so I totally recommend it

Cons

Although it is a very powerful software, its use is sometimes complex with respect to the tools to segment and automate my marketing campaigns since working with well-defined social strata in the communication area would be a great collaboration to do it from the same software and not manually Simpler steps that allow processing all the information and then classify it. It would be very helpful because of the complexity that sometimes is made for those who are beginning to use this software.

### "SalesForce + Pardot = Winning Team"

January 30, 2019

5.0

My current company had been using Constant Contact before I arrived, and it was poorly managed... a huge mess, even... partially due to the staff being unable to coordinate, and partially because the software was a bit clunky. I was brought on during the SalesForce onboarding process, and 36 months later, with very little management efforts from our marketing/BD staff, our data is standardized, uniform, and easily accessible. Emails are scheduled to go out once a week, months in advance, based on templates first developed by our onboarding process, and we have been able to shift our marketing staff to more analytical projects that have given us the edge we needed to be on track to make our profit-sharing bonus numbers for the first time in years.

Pros

The ability to customize really makes SalesForce its own beast. I've worked for two companies that have used the software, and both looked very different, yet still intuitively the same. I like that if there isn't currently a solution for you, there are add-ons and plug-ins that can be fitted into your experience to make it an extremely tailored solution for a wide range of companies. Not only that, the customer support staff have some great tools at their disposal that give you an even deeper dimension of control, should you be unable to quite round the edges for your perfect fit. I like the seamless integration with Pardot. In addition, with Pardot's automation platform, you can literally save hours' worth of work as contact/prospect data can sync in nearly realtime, depending on the rules you've set up. If all this sounds perplexing, don't worry too much, as Salesforce has an amazing onboarding team that will work with your designated admin staff to utilize most of the software package from nearly any education/experience level.

Cons

There are some frustrating limitations with reporting in Pardot, and sometimes SalesForce integration with plug-ins can be a bit of a hassle if they weren't set up during the initial onboarding, but overall these are speedbumps at worst and don't detract from the overall experience enough to really worry about.

### "Salesforce is the best CRM but need better Customer Service"

December 13, 2020

5.0

I implement Salesforce to different organizations and have been able to digitalize their sales and service operations.

Pros

Salesforce is the best CRM! The constant upgrades and new features keeps it fresh and allows organization to expand their use within.

Cons

Although Salesforce offers licenses for small businesses their prices are higher than most competitors. Their essentials license has features that are offered for free with most competitors. Their enterprise license is expensive and it would be cost effective if it included more functionality instead of having to buy an add-on license. The worst part about Salesforce is their customer service. One would think that with their product they have this part to perfection. But I have had the experience of not able to contact my sales agent (sometimes due to the high turnover) and trying to chat in their site and then throwing me back to the same agent that did not help.

### "The CRM worth buying"

February 11, 2021

4.0

Overall, this app is something I'd definitely recommend as it has a very good system for organizing corporate activity, ease of use is very good, navigation wise it can be improved, load time is fast, and above all I haven't experienced any downtime when I was using this CRM.

Pros

Salesforce is one awesome tool that is very useful and budget-wise that is already full of functionality to run daily tasks, organize tickets for support, reminders for important to do's whether needing immediate attention or non-urgent ones. It is also great with integrations for easier management such as with calendar apps. It has your sort functions, filters for categorizing, labeling, and disposition tagging for at a glance view. The one thing I observed about this CRM is it doesn't lag although a lot of users are already accessing the same interface, which means it has a stable platform and servers that can accommodate the bandwidth of multiple users. I can safely say that it allocates a significant storage to avoid the nuisance of pages loading slowly. Not only that, so far there are no reported issues of their database being breached or any intrusions which is very harmful for businesses and their trade secrets. It is vital since client data is the backbone of a business. I'm glad that they have established these safeguards well to make their product reliable and trustworthy.

Cons

The only thing I noticed is it took a lot of clicks to get you to where you want to go in this CRM. For example, in opening a particular ticket, you'd have to open a preview page first before being able to open the ticket with the actual content itself. Although the site mapping was remedied internally to lessen the time of navigating from one page to another. So far that's the only downside I've encountered.

### "Great customer service "

March 25, 2021

5.0

The experience is one of the best. I can admit that I was quite surprised by the amount of things that we were able to do with one single software. And the presentation are up to date and very pleasant to the eyes.

Pros

The system and software is very up to date and we used it quite often. It is very user friendly and once purchased the team gets trainings and refresher training every now and then we would require. The best feature would be its efficiency from contacts to lead conformation and contacting. It does make things easier for everyone and details are available to everyone.

Cons

The only thing I didn't quite appreciate was the reporting that didn't work well for us even if we had training it seemed a bit complicated.

Reason for choosing Salesforce Sales Cloud

We did not choose any other. We actually added it to another software.

### "Excellent Software for Leads"

April 12, 2022

4.0

I have found an immense amount of success generating leads and documenting my interaction with those leads. The cons are far outweighed by it's pros and I have found more success using SalesForce Cloud over any other sales/CRM software out there.

Pros

I like this software over any of the others I have used and I find the functionality to be key to my success. It is by far its biggest pro. Being able to easily use the software as its intended to be used should always be paramount.

Cons

The cons I have found are few and far between. If I had to pick one it would be the calendar and how it functions. I would like to see some tweaks there but, other than that, I have more pros than cons.

### "Best CRM in the market, without question. Learning curve to administer but well worth it"

July 30, 2018

5.0

Automation of common tasks saved us time. Documenting conversations and tracking new data gave us the ability to work with the right person at the right time. 3rd party apps were easy to find and integrate into our business processes. Saved time by building drip campaigns during the recruiting process. Adding new fields meant we could be agile in implementing new ideas and pilot projects.

Pros

Customizable - allows organizations to track anything and everything Automation - easy to build workflows to automate repetitive tasks Security - can control access to fields, records, or entire objects by user type. Access and security are vital and easily maintained and deployed Innovative - Salesforce is consistently voted one of the most innovative companies in the world. Quarterly releases are packed with new features to support users and administrators Community - the Salesforce community is incredible. Find answers from other users and administrators through Salesforce's gigantic communities. Equality - Salesforce is a champion for equality and equity for all. It is important that we are partnering with a company that views equality as a core value. Philanthropy - Salesforce has been committed to giving back since it was founded. Again, sharing the work with a partner that has strong values is an important business lever. Training - hours and hours of free training exist at the click of a button. ANYONE can learn to administer Salesforce by using Salesforce Trailhead, their online training module.

Cons

Can be difficult to use and learn, particularly for administrators. Maintaining documentation is vital and is left to the organizational administrators without much advice from Salesforce. All the possibilities can be overwhelming for new users and administrators.

### "Build relationships with your customers and increase sales"

June 12, 2022

5.0

This platform helps me a lot to have all the information in one place, because it allows the seller to enter the system and process all the required information, and this makes it easier to provide the necessary information about sales, emails, responses, meetings, etc. All this information is in one place, helping me to review the progress that is made with the clients, as well as I can set warning alerts, if they visited it, how many times a week they visited it, if I bought in the last month even If I buy in the same year.

Pros

I like Salesforce Sales cloud because it helps us massively manage customers and manage the information of new prospects, it also helps us automate our sales process, because it helps us achieve business strategies, focused on customer relations. This platform helps us to have all the information of our clients in the company, since if a salesperson stops working for the company, they are prevented from having access to client information, since the system gives you the option to protect the information of your clients, this is done because each sales manager is obliged to file the information in the system, allowing the data to remain in the company and be used exclusively by the collaborators of said company, and in this way it can be resume customer relations and manage the customer again.

Cons

I have nothing against this platform, as it is there to help small and large companies to retain customers.

### "Salesforce Essentials - state-of-the-art software for medium and big enterprises"

March 17, 2021

5.0

I had been using Salesforce cloud as a sales person/account manager in the period between July 2013 and January 2020 (until quitting the company). Learning curve had been a bit steep in the beginning, however after 2-3 months I had already felt myself comfortable with using the system and perceived it as a helpful tool rather than a chore for management reporting. Salesforce helped not only to track my activities, but to generate various view reports that help me see the bigger picture and better plan my next activities and focus on more prospective clients.

Pros

Ease of contacts management Project/Opportunity pipeline management is set up well and helps to easily generate statistics on opened/closed deals status Integration with MS Outlook makes emails tracking fast and comfortable

Cons

MS Outlook plugin crashed at least 8-10 times within 3 years of operation, which was a bit unpleasant

### "Great CRM platform, but not always worth Salesforce's continually increasing licensing costs"

March 6, 2019

4.0

We used Salesforce to be our CRM and Professional Services Automation (PSA) system. We custom-built the PSA, but the CRM piece was mostly Salesforce out-of-the-box. Ultimately, if you can figure how to keep your licensing and other add-in costs in check, then Salesforce can be the right tool for you. Otherwise, you may find what we found, which is that Salesforce's continual cost increases eventually cause the platform to lose its ROI. We ultimately switched from Salesforce to Microsoft Dynamics 365 after Salesforce continually and forcibly raised their costs beyond our ROI threshold. The system was functionally fine, but the annual costs had simply become too much.

Pros

As a CRM platform, it's everything you could ask for. Also, its AppStore is top notch. From a functionality perspective, you cannot go wrong with Salesforce. Also, as one of the biggest and most widespread platforms, there are plenty of Salesforce resources out there, so there is no shortage of help available should you need it. If you are a small non-profit particularly, Salesforce can be an incredible resource as your first 10 licenses are free (as long as you qualify as a non-profit with Salesforce)

Cons

If you are a for-profit firm, be aware that Salesforce builds in an annual 7% licensing cost increase into it's contracts. As a result, you will be continually negotiating and re-negotiating with them to keep licensing costs reasonable. Even then, Salesforce will continually look to increase your spend with them. Their sales teams/account managers can be very aggressive and a lot of things you may want or need will cost you extra. They're also continually rotating their account managers. This can be very frustrating as a customer because just when you feel that you've built a good relationship with your account manager, Salesforce will switch people on you and then you have to work to rebuild a new relationship.

### "You can do a lot with Salesforce"

February 9, 2018

4.0

You know when you interview someone and you ask them for their weakness and they turn a positive into a negative ("I'm a perfectionist!") Well, that is the issue with Salesforce. It is so configurable that you can get yourself into trouble! There are layers and layers of security and configurations - you get to choose how complex your org will be. How you set up objects and relationships will greatly impact on how you can later get out your data. Take the time to engage a Data Architect to review the design before you release to the hordes! And while yes, the data structure and reporting tool inhibit reporting and analytics, it collects the data relatively well. Best bet is to get a copy of your data and get it into a data warehouse or even a couple of simple reporting tables. Get your users used to using other tools for reporting whenever possible.

Pros

It is easy to get up and running with a very simple and basic sales/CRM configuration with Salesforce. Creating custom objects (tables) and fields is pretty simple and convenient. The platform also offers easy to use, off the shelf APIs that make integrating outside sources and systems pretty straightforward. And, if designed properly, it can scale and adapt fairly well. Extremely configurable and can ultimately do most things asked of it.

Cons

I have two issues with Salesforce. The first is the way it stores the data. Because it is an object oriented database, it stores more in columns than in rows. The User Interface is based on the structure of the objects and on the relationships of those objects. What ends up happening is that data starts to "spread" via triggers and workflows so it will be visible. Traditionally, there has been a lot of copying of data between Salesforce objects. The second issue is an extension of the first - Reporting. Reporting is inherently difficult to begin with because of the structure of the data. In order to create a report, a "report type" has to be created which pre-identifies the objects and fields. It makes ad-hoc reporting difficult and time consuming. But the reporting tool itself is clunky and difficult to use. To be clear, this is basic Salesforce reporting - not Einstein or Wave. You can't rename columns on the fly, can't create non aggregated calculations, and the user interface is just plain outdated.
