Salesforce has by far the best CRM application to date. It is easy to use and navigate. And the integrating processing is also easy to go through.

Cons

The program can be very expensive. And data are not usually saved automatically.

Once we started using Salesforce, we have increased our repeat business from our existing clients and our conversion rate from the leads and referrals we receive has skyrocketed. We are able to tailor our offerings to the prospects specific needs and their response has been overwhelmingly positive. We often get comments about how they feel like we understand them better than our competitors.

Pros

Salesforce is probably the most functional CRM tool on the market, and one of the easiest to set up and use. It worked right out of the box, and we have continued to expand the features we use. One of the best things are all the plugins available, which allow you to customize the environment to fit your business' specific requirements. Our revenues have doubled consistently year-to-year and our customer satisfaction ratings have improved dramatically since we began using Salesforce. My team has threatened to revolt if we ever consider moving to a different platform.

Cons

The licensing structure favors larger organizations, but the fees we pay are still reasonable for the value we get from the product.

We benefit by using Salesforce by documenting and managing all of our customer leads in real-time. It's so easy to use and once your team is on board, they will love it.

Pros

I thought about the pros before writing this review. Honestly, there's so many it's hard for me to pick my favorite ones. However, since it's a review, I should comment about some of the ones that have made a profound impact on our sales organization. 1. It integrates with nearly every other third-party product. For example, on one project I served on for a software company, we needed to embed our Salesforce data inside Confluence. Bingo, piece of cake. 2. Data management is simple. You don't need to be an SQL power user. We even have trainees in our account on their first week managing parts of our data groups. 3. Syncing between Salesforce and other systems is instant. Got to love one-button solutions. 4. Customer profile updates are a breeze. Since we're a sales organization, it's vital we document every shred of customer contact to move sales forward.

Cons

The cons are only limited to user knowledge. If you're new to Salesforce, take time to get proper training. We took our learning path slowly before diving in head first. It helped us understand the functions much better than using trial and error.

Pros

One of the cool things about Salesforce is all the customization capabilities. You can tailor it to suit your sales and business processes as needed around your teams. It's extremely versatile, though the setup could be challenging and may take quite a bit of time and planning. Integrations are good - it will plug into almost anything out there!

Cons

An advantage is that most information can be shown on one page, but in our organization, there are way too many fields available as options to display and so it can result in cluttered views. I wish the interface was better. I wish it did not time out every few minutes -- log in requires 2FA, so this makes it a pain to have to log in again. The spam email updates it generates is unbelievably annoying -- I have an email rule to del with it, but it really ought to be configurable.

It helps in keeping a record of communication with customers, any type of case notes which may help any other engineer in my absence to understand what has been happening on the case and to take the troubleshooting further for customers' issues from where I left off. The way whole web pages are designed, is very sorted, and all the customer contact details, case related information and everything what could be useful are placed really well

Pros

The ease of use Salesforce CRM and customer service tools provide is unmatchable. Though I have not used any other company's similar products, but I don't feel like using any other solution after using this one. Being in customer support team and handling customer cases, this software is something I use daily, and I like every bit of it.

Cons

Sometimes the updates changes the whole look and feel which then require some time to be familiar with the portal

I've been customizing Salesforce instances for some years now for Real Estate agencies and we have been able to accomplish most the client's needs. However it has required a lot of customization using their programming languages.

Pros

It provides tools to automate workflows, lead routing and more without coding. Salesforce is a huge platform, so anything is possible, but then you need to learn how to program it. From a developer's perspective, the platform is very complete and has a huge community.

Cons

If you are only going to use it as-is, there more accessible and affordable alternatives. Support is ok but there are many obviously missing features (as shown through their own feature request platform) that can go many years without being fulfilled. It can be a challenge to code for the platform because of limits, but it also forces you to create optimal code and solutions.

Salesforce honestly use to intimidate me before the implementation in various forms, but seeing its ability to shape around our needs as a business has pushed me to learn a software that has carved its name in the business.

Pros

For our business line, we utilize Salesforce in many different forms. We use it for hiring, claims management and additionally, call center work. Every aspect of Salesforce has been customized to fit each of those needs and having a system that can work well under different needs is absolutely critical. The database and functions are familiar which means there is no need to retrain on an entirely new system for people brand new to the business.

Cons

The biggest con is there is no intuitive report builder. While the reporting function is VERY robust and perfect for a data heavy company, it can be cumbersome to debug which filters should be used to get the data you need. If an error occurs, it's basically hide and seek.

Pros

Real time tracking is one of the most incredible features that I live about Salesforce as well as the easy to use reporting system and Analytics

Cons

Sometimes the software take time in some features like updating data from our internal systems. But I have to say, this can be part of both parties, from our programming as well as Salesforce. It can be very complex and overwhelming to create a lead generation algorithm. (with a bit of hard effort is possible,though)

We loved the feature-packed CRM platform provided to us by Salesforce. Its reporting tool and dashboard is very robust, intuitive, and easy-to-use. You may just need to be patient with the initial setup which can be cumbersome, but after that... boy it just works!

Pros

We used SalesForce as the CRM of choice of our third-party vendor (SaaS). At first, we had some difficulty navigating the interface, but after a short while the look and feel made sense. Our first use case is for the Support Ticketing. I loved the fact that you can modify the fields you want to include, it also has a robust reporting tool and the notifications that work for all stakeholders involved. The logging system is great, in that it keeps all the reporting logs we needed. Salesforce seems to me a more mature CRM software. We've tested other CRMs in the market (both free and paid, closed and open source), but it seems that we found Salesforce to be fully feature-packed. It has a 30-day free trial just in case you're hesistant about it.

Cons

The setup (for our own local use case) was rather daunting, due to the complexity of our business model. Maybe because it has too many features, and the sales team just keeps on bombarding us with what it can do. There are other 'lighter' CRMs available in the market.

Overall, I'd strongly recommend this app because it has a very good system for coordinating corporate operation, it's very easy to use, the navigation could be improved, and the load time is fast.

Pros

Salesforce is an excellent tool that is very useful and budget-friendly, and it already has a lot of features to run regular tasks, arrange help tickets, and set reminders for important to-dos, whether they are urgent or not. It's also useful for integrating with other software for easier management, such as calendar apps. It includes sorting, categorizing, and marking filters, as well as a search tool.

Cons

The only thing I found was that getting to where you want to go in this CRM took a lot of clicks. To open a specific ticket, for example, you'd have to first open a demo page before being able to open the ticket with the actual material. Although the site mapping was improved internally to and the amount of time it took to navigate from one page to the next. So far, it is the only disadvantage.

### "Disappointing solution offering poor value for money and disappointing customer experience"

Unfortunately our experience has felt like a bait and switch. The support was amazing and reassuring during the sales process. Once the contract was signed this changed to radio silence. This was especially true once we expressed that the solution did not meet our needs. We found an alternative solution offering substantially better value for money and better functionality and never implemented the salesforce solution. They will not allow us to get out of our contract and this will end up being a >$30,000 mistake. They are completely unresponsive and, as a small business, there’s nothing we can do. They do not seem to care about us or our business. As a small business we are looking for a true partner that has empathy for our needs. Salesforce seem to care only for their own interests. Partnership and support has been lacking. Fortunately our new provider is highly customer focused and committed to our success. Although Salesforce could have been an option for us in the future, their shortsighted approach and poor customer service means they’ve lost us for good. All we can do is warn people to be very careful before signing a contract - you will not get out no matter what so be sure it’s what you want/need.

Pros

Highly modular and customizable allowing potentially large breadth of application (in theory).

Cons

Clunky and not a particularly modern or pleasing interface to use. Very much uses a “sales funnel” approach which is not particularly helpful/relevant when coupled with the health cloud functionality for managing patients which is what we had hoped to use it for. Although we rapidly realized the solution would not meet our needs and we never even went live with implementing the solution, we are tethered to a 3 year commitment they will not allow us out of.

Reason for choosing Salesforce Sales Cloud

They put a LOT of emphasis on sales. It should really be no surprise, it’s even in their name! There are lots of people readily available to move you through the sales process. “Everything is possible” with Salesforce at this point in time and we were convinced by what we were told. Unfortunately it all changes once the contract is signed and you start to work your way through the reality.

Pros

Customer Relations Management. That is the best way to describe Salesforce. With it we're able to use the best apps and teaching tools in one suite for our customers and employees. It is relatively secure and the apps are conveniently held in one suite. It does have easy navigation and from a Lead position it is nice to direct employees to Salesforce (SF) for both learning tools and apps for customer management. Salesforce is the go-to program to get the job done. Its the first thing I open at work and the last thing I close. Our company relies heavily on the program.

Cons

The worst thing I dislike about this software is the crashing. Admittedly we have over 50,000 employees working within this program on any given day from the corporate office to the work-at-home agents. That being said agents spend a considerable amount of time rebooting and contacting tech support due to crashes. When it is up and running there is nothing bad to be said about it. Its just a good tool that makes it easy to find what you need when you need it. However, Salesforce does crash and crash alot. While there is enough blame to go around (our sheer numbers of users and their instability) I am hoping there will be stability updates coming soon.

I grew up in the sales ranks working and using Salesforce.com so I am loyal to the platform. If it was cheaper I would use it more often or if I was the Chief Revenue Officer of a company, I might consider buying it for my sales team simply because it is a proven platform that can scale quickly and easily. But I'm not CRO and I prefer a more simple UI and lets functionality and more simple process. For smaller start ups or mid size companies with 5 to 10 sales professionals I would consider another platform, for enterprise teams with over 50 to 500 sales people, salesforce.com is a home run.

Pros

The largest sales CRM available on the market today. There are 1000's of add on apps you can leverage to make your business more productive and efficient. They were the pioneers for working in the cloud and their ability to customize their solution to meet more then just sales demands is incredible. Salesforce.com is the Bentley of sales CRM's no doubt.

Cons

Expensive! I feel like every little add on or additional service is an extra charge. If you are a small business and not a huge enterprise, I feel like salesforce could care less about your business. Their hourly rates for customized services is expensive and the clock is always on with them. There are free CRM platforms that can do most of the same thing saleforce.com can do and care more about your business.

Even though it's super expensive and you often need bolt-ons (paid or not) to do things that you think should be standard functionality, the fact it's so customisable and easy to use makes those additional headaches and annoyances go away.

Pros

Sales Cloud is immensely customisable. Out of the box it has solid features but the ease at which someone can learn how to customise the system, all the way to building custom objects and flows is incredibly valuable. It's super easy to use as well

Cons

It has some really daft issues, like sorting line items in a Quote needs a free appexchange program and even that's unreliable (with some users seeing different ordering). It also has very limited Quote template customisation, so you're pretty much forced to pay for a plugin like Conga Composer. It's very expensive and although there's lots of bolt-ons, it's all at increased cost.

Overall, this product is the core of our business in terms of customer data, interactions, and deals. We could not operate without it.

Pros

Salesforce is the go-to for sales CRM and many related components. On the marketing side, it's nice to be able to follow leads through opportunity stages and determine the effectiveness of our efforts. The reporting is also extremely useful. We've been using Salesforce since 2007 and it has grown with us substantially.

Cons

Cross-object reporting needs work, since some reports still limit the type of fields you can tie together. They tried improving this in Lightning but it's still not seamless. There are also issues with Lightning and recent versions of Safari on Mac. I have to use Firefox on Mac because it opens each VisualForce object in a new tab and makes the account/contact pages virtually unusable. Data storage costs are asinine.
