Salesforce isn't just incredibly easy to use however exceptionally gainful to all deals partners inside a set gathering as the updates, deals following data set, task administrator, and schedule highlights have become essential parts of every sales rep's everyday daily practice .

Cons

CRM emails are treated as junk emails very often. IT admin needs to setup spf record properly in order to prevent the emails being blocked by anti spam system.

Pros

Every aspect of Salesforce can be customized to maximize the efficiency of your sales and marketing teams. There are thousands of pre-built solutions that allow for rapid deployment and implementation of the features you need. Additionally you can customize user permissions to tailor access to your data to only those that require it. I highly recommend this CRM if you want a robust solution with room to grow.

Cons

Salesforce uses it's own query and scripting languages which requires familiarity with their software. It is not cheap but it is worth every penny!

My overall experience involves having to start from scratch. Moving data from one application on to Salesforce was taxing and heart breaking but a necessary evil. Aside form the set up night mare (more Thriva's fault) it was smooth sailing and once again, Salesforce support (non profit) is exceptional. They care about your organization and that their application is utilized fully.

Pros

I have been using Salesforce for almost a decade now. Because this client-based software is free for non-profits, I absolutely recommend it. I have worked with their non-profit support team and they are exceptional. Salesforce is fairly expensive but NOT for non-profits and its amazing that they provide support for small organizations empowering them with the entire suite of tools.

Cons

That not all non-profits are using this software suite. I really believe because Salesforce goes out of their way to cater and help non-profits that all NP entities should and could take advantage.

There has been a large effort to bring Salesforce training into the forefront of our company's training goals. We have really invested significant resources into developing the tools and training plan for pushing the knowledge base to our admin employees. So far, I have really enjoyed the ability to navigate to team dashboards, track leads, and expenses. The application has been a great place to connect and share information as well. Tools like Salesforce chatter allow individuals across the world to collaborate and socialize within the app itself. Overall, my experience has been largely positive!

Pros

Salesforce is a fantastic and ever-expanding tool that helps businesses track important customer insights. Sales teams can create complex data management that enables them to better clarify leads, follow up on opportunities, and show the proper channels where sales dollars come from. Salesforce is highly collaborative and works well for teams both large and small. Contact management works well both for both internal partners and external customers. Salesforce is also highly customizable. One can set up Salesforce in a way that best fits the organization expectations and goals. Finally, the tool offers a lot of flexibility with regards setting up API's and integrations for utilizing other popular business tools. Salesforce does a lot of really great things to keep businesses moving forward.

Cons

I think the largest cons of Salesforce can be for smaller businesses. Typically, Salesforce is a rather expensive application per user. Additionally, due to the complexity, many small organization may not have the overall budget to dedicate to a Salesforce power user. The application itself is very expansive and requires a lot of onboarding and training in order to truly master the platform. Therefore, I would say that Salesforce is perfect for large operations - but I would be wary of the costs for smaller businesses.

It's a must have for us, we use it every day and without it we would be completely lost. Keeps tracks of all our current and potential customers. We put all of our orders through this system and do all our lot tracking.

Pros

Lightning version is very end user friendly Easy-ish to custom configure for your company There is probably an app/add-on for what you want - some are extremely expensive though Seems to be a lot of developers who have worked with Salesforce in the past to do custom work for you Has a lot of built in features and functionality

Cons

While lightning is very user friendly with a nice GUI, you have to switch back to Classic for a lot of things. Lightning lacks all the features and functionality that Classic has. They have a community feature that is suppose to have your customers be able to log in and do a lot of the leg work themselves for when they place orders or want to view past orders, etc. Great idea, it just doesn't work as the permissions sets are conflicting. There are ways around it that a developer can do but I feel this shouldn't be so difficult to setup as it seems like something that should be standard.

Pros

Excellent tracking of deals across different stages, right from engagement till deal closure. Love the way it can be configured to suit your organizational needs & workflows defined to ensure you have the most visibility to your pipeline (across levels, from mid-mgmnt till leadership) and accurate forecasts. Integration with Outlook is very useful & makes it easy to track all client communications at one single place. So eventually you are on top of everything, in near real-time.

Cons

Needs a bit of a learning curve to get used to the interface, various workflows, deal definitions & features within. The interface again isn't the most slick & user friendly, especially when compared to other softwares we all are used to. Would love the UX redesign with minimal clicks to get the job done. More of AI & predictive capabilities would also help streamline day-to-day activities.

While there were two positives that I was capable of finding with Salesforce throughout my journey with them, overall the situation was negative. I lost money trying to use this application, I mistakenly attempted to deal with their customer service which was was absolutely horrendous. I switched products and I am glad I did not renew my relationship with this company.

Pros

The only positive that comes with this app, despite the expensiveness, is the amount of helpful sections within the application. Things like; contact management, workflow creation, task management, and customer engagement tools. The only other positive of this application is that it allows you to take care of and organize businesses present situations, but it also allows you to plan for the future needs of the business.

Cons

Not only is this application extremely expensive, but the customer service is absolutely outrageous, and not in a good way. From every single interaction I have had, I came to the realization that they do not seem to value their business. When I first signed up with the company I had a trial, and I still had 21 days on the trial and lost over 1000 dollars on the subscription. When I first began looking into the trial, they gathered my contact information and bombarded my phone with phone calls, emails, and text messages. There has also been multiple attempts to reach them after purchasing and they have not responded. The application runs extremely slow and has lots of bugs that affect its work processing. As I am working on something it will randomly delete it and I will have to start from the beginning. The authenticator app is also extremely inconvenient.

Reason for choosing Salesforce Sales Cloud

I did not attempt to go with much research as I should of. Because of the lack of research I simply jumped on Salesforce and as small business owner. I do not recommend.

We didn't have the budget to fully develop the SF platform suited to our organization. I was able to receive some coaching from a developer on how powerful the platform can be if well thought-out with a SF developer and the integration is the best case scenario possible. We also realized that it integrated with popular in-bound marketing software without any trouble at all. For enterprise level organizations this maybe the only choice other than a custom developed CRM from the ground up.

Pros

Salesforce integrates with almost everything and it has the ability to track everything from suspect to closed contract and can even handle products, price lists and commission payments. It's certainly a one stop shop for applications and can handle advanced workflows and commission splits with the proper development work and 3rd party add-ons.

Cons

It's not usable out of the box as is in my opinion. It will need many hours of modification and development to truly gain the workflow and function that salesforce offers. It's because of this ability to develop is what makes it powerful but it's also a detractor if you don't have the resources to really dig in and build a platform suited to your organization

Overall, if you’re a small business growing rapidly and you want to have as many features as possible to take advantage of, I would highly Salesforce as your CRM of choice.

Pros

I have used Salesforce for 10+ years. I was previously in the brokerage business and had over 100 users utilizing the Salesforce software. I was extremely satisfied with the ease of entering in new clients data and the filtering of data to manage my staff. The options provided to build out your CRM was beneficial in a major way. I was able to maximize updating data, sending emails nd receiving emails, keeping track of phone calls, dates and times, appointments, notifications, etc. The software program was easy to understand how to navigate around the platform if you have experience with CRMs.

Cons

This software program can be too complex for individuals challenged with navigating around the computer. Individuals who have never used a CRM platform could find it frustrating once features are added to the platform. While the base product is affordable, to reach full potential on this CRM it can become pricey. The helpdesk can also be challenging.

Less is more. Determine what you need SFDC to do...in our case (Pipeline, Sales, CS, Account Info). Once you do that, don't get distracted by all the other noise and things you could do. I love the report builder and find the data import wizard to be super valuable.

Pros

The vase amount of info pertaining to leads, contacts, accounts and customers is vast. Salesforce is the repository for our Sales, CS and Solutions teams. I love its pipeline tracking tools, particularly around opportunities and next steps.

Cons

Seems like "older software." I think that the vast amount of customization and use cases for Salesforce make it valuable to the organization, but can be hard for small organizations to administer and use effectively.

I have been using Salesforce to help manage our clients and monitor the amount of activity and engagement. It has helped make keeping track of everything much easier and WAY less time-consuming. Overall, if you are in need of a CRM platform, Salesforce is definitely what you want to be using!

Pros

One of the best CRM platforms available on the market today! Dealing in client management, Salesforce is the total package. It has all of the functions that you could ever want from a CRM platform, and the customer service is simply the best around, hands down! With all of the additional add-ons and plugins, you literally get to create the optimal CRM platform for your company needs. Salesforce definitely puts other CRM platforms to shame!

Cons

What I found to be annoying was that there is sometimes a little trouble with integration of new plug-ins if they were not done during the initial onboarding process. While these are not extremely difficult to get integrated, it can become a minor headache if you are adding lots of plug-ins. Also, while Salesforce is by far the best CRM platform available, the licensing fees can start to add up quickly.
