### "Lack of communication, Lack of training"

December 14, 2023

3.0

They aren't interested in ensuring their clients are happy with the platform, using it to its full potential, or communicating with them until they realize there's a bill that's due.

Pros

For what it was used for \[Data storage\] - it was fine. But for some reason the account manager never implemented any type of donation set up or integration to our donation collection

Cons

No communication, no contact from account manager until he found out we were leaving the platform. And then by that time they tried to bill us for nearly $9,000. Any and all subscriptions were set to auto-draft. However, they waited 3 years \[and only after finding out we were leaving the platform\] to try to collect on supposed pasted dues.

### "The best CRM ever"

December 1, 2021

5.0

This is the best CRM tool for its User, Administrator, Partners and customers. Easy to configure, User friendly and provides efficient way to focus on what we need to run the business. It is also easy to integrate with other tools.

Pros

Salesforce is based on Cloud computing, which makes it so easy to implement and adopt. It is providing all the functionality anyone is looking in the CRM. There are bunch of documents to learn and their Support team is so helpful in every stage of the implementation. You can create Reports and Dashboard for the Revenue calculation. We could also Customize the system according to our business needs, which is the best part.

Cons

We have to create few custom fields to make it work according to our needs. We wish those features are available as out of the box functionality.

### "Coordinate your business"

February 16, 2021

5.0

I have used Salesforce with multiple companies. if set up right it is invaluable but out of the box with no customizations does not offer what the product can really do.

Pros

If set up properly all aspects of the business can run from one knowledge base. avoiding fragmenting knowledge throughout the company.

Cons

Some uses can be confusing and requires custom work to create a lot of functionality and that can be expensive.

### "Probably the best CRM available on the market"

May 27, 2020

5.0

My organization started using Salesforce almost two years ago and the benefits of that decision are evident. Because it is a complete application, its complexity requires a few months of adaptation by the organization and its employees, but over time the experience of use becomes easier and more intuitive.

Pros

Installing Salesforce is simple, and the interface is relatively friendly. Customization is one of the main strengths, allowing you to adapt the program to your needs. With it, it is possible to have a detailed view of the individual performance of each employee and also of the entire team, evaluating histories and allowing more rational sales goals and more effective marketing strategies to be established. The possibilities with Salesforce are always expanding, both because of the experience of use that we are getting, and because of its high customization.

Cons

Salesforce's main quality can also be its main problem. The program demands great dedication from all employees in the process of implementation and optimization. In the first months, the advantages of using this tool may not be so evident, since a lot of time will be spent on training employees and integrating the program with your organization's infrastructure. For small businesses, which are likely to use only a fraction of Salesforce's functionality, the financial cost and time spent can be too high, making it easier to look for simpler and more intuitive CRM. The constant need for an internet connection for all functionality to work can cause latency problems and instabilities in organizations that do not have a reliable internet provider.

### "Outstanding CRM"

October 31, 2019

5.0

We needed a cost-friendly CRM at our nonprofit that would enable mobile and remote usage for our employees. Previous to using Salesforce we were relying solely on a sub-ledger on-premise client/server database system that, while great for the accounting users, was not at all good for relationship managers and other non-accounting users. Plus the complexities involved in having to train and retrain users how to connect to a VPN client then to a remote server then to the on-premise database, let alone the time spent for the users to navigate this tech, resulted in productivity for technology's sake and not for business reasons.

Pros

Nonprofit friendly cost. No hardware to maintain. Ease of use. Ease of Administration. Excellent capability to extend the system beyond it's core functionality by customizing business process solutions and/or by installing apps from its AppExchange.

Cons

Lead conversion process is challenging. Limited database storage, though additional storage blocks can be purchased. Cannot delete custom sites or Communities once they have been created. Can be hard to reverse custom programming in APEX if have developer turnover.

### "Best CRM in the market!"

November 23, 2021

5.0

Pros

Display/layout and reporting. I really like the visual aspect with the SFDC lightning version- easy to navigate (ex. pulling up customer/prospect accounts and being able to see everything on one screen). Pulling high-level and specific reports is also easy to learn/understand/use. I found it's very quick to pull a report (as long as you have the appropriate permissions).

Cons

Ease of use/enablement for new users could be improved. While training new users, it is a big learning curve and I think there could be more hand holding on the enablement side.

### "The ultimate CRM modelling platform or software for online businesses. "

April 9, 2021

5.0

If you want a good site for modelling sales management tasks, sophisticated online reporting or dashboarding, emailing and online sales forecasting, then our current experience with Salesforce should inspire you. It is an automated and fully professional e-marketing and customer relationship platform but depends on two things first (buying a module for enterprise or unlimited on this site and adjusting existing templates for its product specifications). Apart from its relatively high cost for startups, its cloud-based quality for managing online spaces and its combinability with several other platforms are a source of business performance for startups.

Pros

Software with a sober interface, very practical and easily adaptable in the modelling of B2C or B2B relationships for online sales of all types of products. Platform easily combinable with several others such as TalentLMS, WebCollect, etc., in order to achieve online sales objectives. Furthermore, it has a 30-day trial advantage, even during this trial period, not all modules are offered.

Cons

Sufficiently adapted for sales and statistical reporting on e-commerce but we find this site relatively expensive for small startups like ours especially for its "Enterprise or Unlimited" modules.

### "Choose carefully"

February 7, 2018

3.0

Personally, not many but that was because my team would work with kanban and/or scrum. The change module was the most used but then that suited the change team more from a process perspective when we only needed a reference ID.

Pros

The software is feature rich and can be used to do just about anything for incident, change, problem etc. It's a proven technology with a massive user base to draw on experience. As one of the front runners on the market, their offering is born for a wealth of experience so you can be sure that the product you are getting will deliver as expected. If you're looking for a centralized tool that will be the hub of your operations, this is one of the best solutions out there.

Cons

It's not necessarily the best option for more agile environments, it takes a lot of configuration to get the best out of it and if you may not utilize all the features that are bundled with it and you inevitably are paying for. There are other more lightweight options on the market and there are some solutions that let you cherry pick which bits you want.

### "Makes work quicker and efficient."

December 17, 2020

5.0

All my work is done from Salesforce, it has my templates and everything saved in it already so I am able to work efficiently.

Pros

It has all, Salesforce has so many features without being stuck or lagging. The best part is the team behind it is so quick that they bring out new and easy features now and then.

Cons

I mean honestly nope! I would've mentioned about the mobile application but after trying it everything went so smooth.

### "Great for Large CRM Systems"

May 18, 2024

I think its a must have tool for large enterprises to send regular CRM campaigns.

Pros

I can see historic CRM data and with filters I can play with it and make it more granular data to be used.

Cons

I do not think this is good for small scale businesses because it's too costly.

### "Working in Salesforce helps me stay in tune with my team, once i got acclimated to its layout."

March 26, 2018

4.0

Salesforce is the king of data collection and sharing client-facing activities. Sharing notes with my team or directors is easy as well as recording all of my internal and external interactions.

Pros

It's robust. There's a lot to learn but once you get the hang of it, you can use salesforce as a hub for all of your proactive and reactive interactions with your clients. I can log calls, run reports, add/update clients. It really is an end-all, be-all solution for my customer success team.

Cons

Limitations on project planning software integrations. While Salesforce can help me create action plans, there are other software solutions out there that are better at it. For example, it would be nice if I could fully integrate my data in Salesforce with the functionality of my Trello account. Salesforce is very robust but not optimal for project planning due to its UI and functionality. Linking it with another software, and adding a touch of automation, would give me the perfect solution for planning , executing and recording tasks on a daily basis.

### "One of the most configurable and customizable CRMs on the market"

August 8, 2017

5.0

Pros

Trailhead is a very comprehensive training resource for learning just about anything within the Salesforce platform. It makes it easy for anyone to be come an admin.

Cons

Sometimes the lack of basic functionality features, or alternatively the imposed rigidness of certain facets of the system for seemingly arbitrary reasons, are incredibly frustrating for administrators. Seems like every other day I have to find a workaround for something that Salesforce shit the bed on and/or will not address when it is presented to them. Salesforce is kind of like ordering a pepperoni pizza, and when you receive it, it looks amazing and perfect. However, when you try to pull off one of the pepperonis, you notice that they are actually made of plastic, and are impossible to be removed from the pizza. When asking on the forums how to remove the pepperonis, you see a whole slew of other customers wondering the same thing, all at a loss. When asking Salesforce why plastic pepperonis were put on the pizza and integrated so deeply that you cannot remove them, you get either no response, or false promises to add real pepperonis to the pizza in the future (i.e. 10 years later, still "Under Review"). In the meantime, you're left to either carefully try to eat around the inedible pepperonis, or make your own pizza. That's is, after already paying for a very expensive, very unsatisfying pizza.

### "A great tool for businesses big or small"

May 2, 2023

Overall great. Much more simple than the previous two systems that it replaced

Pros

Very user friendly. It's simple to use and keep all of your client information in one spot. An all in one marketing tool.

Cons

There can be hiccups when connecting to other software. There was an issue where duplicate accounts were created every time a new order was placed through our site. It was eventually remedied, but something to be aware of.

Pros

Cons

Had to hire IT specialists to input special tools to make sure duplicate accounts were not created, I don't like that date last modified doesn't update when adding notes, or some fields. It is finnicky, and so reports sometimes we haven't updated an account when we have

### "Salesforce for simplified, mobile, and sales processes"

November 19, 2018

4.0

Salesforce is the industry standard CRM...no surprise here. For superusers, the tool is far better than many other CRMs available today. Nevertheless, the tool is fairly straight to the point. It would be nice to see additional features rolled out regularly to enhance the overall user experience, including especially to ability to enable streamlined automation of the day-to-day sales interaction logging. The Steelbrick CPQ quoting tool is far superior to previous tools I have used, but our use case is fairly modified from the standard out of the box toolset, so my gripe with workflow is more internal. Nevertheless, a streamlined interface would likely increase ease of use, which could make the tool better.

Pros

Salesforce is a fairly intuitive end-to-end CRM tool that enables sales teams to collaborate on the go to simplify logging lead/contact interactions as well as to create, track, approve and book opportunities and quotes, enabling visibility for reporting

Cons

Interaction logging is still a fairly manual process, and even with add-ins, the process could be greatly improved with one-click interaction logging settings enabled by default at the user level.

### "Great Tool, But Get the Setup Right"

November 27, 2018

5.0

We used Salesforce for donor and program tracking at my day job, and I do implementations for small nonprofits to do the same. It's a very flexible tool that is easy to customize but that also comes with great options out of the box. Overall, it's an excellent way for nonprofits to better manage their data and drive results.

Pros

As a Salesforce administrator for a mid-sized nonprofit and a consultant, I think this is an excellent tool for nonprofits. Most nonprofit tools are very siloed--only allowing you to do one thing, like track donors or track programs. But with Salesforce, you can combine all your data into a holistic view, which is great. It's also easy to build automations, which can save a ton of time, especially for super-busy nonprofit organizations.

Cons

Setting up Salesforce is easy if you know what you're doing. But too many nonprofits, especially, don't get the set up right on the front end. That can make things overwhelming and confusing and lead to user errors and frustration. Being thoughtful and thorough with your original setup is absolutely crucial.

### "B2B Necessity! "

September 25, 2018

5.0

As a B2B sales rep, Salesforce is the first tool I use in the morning and the last before I leave for the day. The CRM keeps all of the information from my accounts/leads in one centralized location and the customization is a dream! I can store all information and notes in one location to reference on each call and email that I send. The fact that Salesforce is integrated with every other tool I use, makes my job 1000% more efficient!

Pros

Salesforce is vital in any B2B sales role. I love it's ease of use, organization, and storage! I am able to keep a list of accounts/leads and easily call/email right out of Salesforce! I use the CRM daily and I have experience with other CRM's and Salesforce topples the competition without a doubt. The reporting abilities have allowed myself, as well as my teams, to uncover accounts/leads that can get buried. Salesforce also integrates with a wide variety of platforms and solutions which makes streamlining my processes impeccable!

Cons

The reporting feature can prove difficult, but once you master the fields you are looking to find data on, it get's easier!

### "Lots of Functionality; Difficult to Use"

September 10, 2020

3.0

Pros

Salesforce is commonly used by most sales professionals, so when you have new team members being onboarded there's less training required for those users as most had previous experience with the platform. It allows information to live in a single place that can be collaborated on by teams such as sales, success, and renewals. It's helpful to see activity and know what's been communicated with a particular account versus having to be cc'ed on every email sent to a customer.

Cons

While the basics of the platform are easy to use, in order to get the most out of the product and leverage all features, I feel like you need to interact with a Salesforce Customer Success person or pay for support. The design feels a little archaic and the UI is not user-friendly. The mobile app lacks a lot of functionality. I've worked for many companies that have used Salesforce and run into the same problem where parent companies often do not align with the acquisitions or other companies under them, making several account pages, which does not play well with Gainsight. I am sure this is a company administrator error, but since it's happened at multiple companies, I'd say their UX needs to be improved to reduce administrative mistakes.

### "Salesforce gets worse with every iteration"

July 27, 2021

2.0

from Bad to Worse.. lightening is horrible

Pros

only that it works with docusign otherwise, Id prefer to use something else.. at least it has a mobile app.. but except for simple searches, it's basically worthless

Cons

what can I say? It's terrible and always has been, i marvel that someone became a billionaire off of this terrible product. It is slow, seems unstable, probably because of the slowness in part. Reporting, search and activity reviews are terrible for the salesperson. It's very difficult to use this software to backtrack where you have been to do follow ups.. lots of hidden/imbedded critical menus etc. Scrolling using Chrome is unstable and I don't think you you can use it with any other browser, not sure about that. There's other least likes, but i'm out of time
