Overall I love Salesforce Sales Cloud and I could not imagine going to a workflow without it. Client/customer engagement and interaction directly from Salesforce is easy. As is storing project data and contacts of vendors and crew that i work with. Information is key and this puts it all at our finger tips in the most organized way that I could imagine.

Pros

Salesforce can be built out specifically for your needs and is the most useful tool in my operations and production management toolbox. It makes contact details/storage/history available/searchable at your finger tips. This helps with client engagement, vendors, and crewing for projects. All of my projects are tied to my client and crew contacts as well.

Cons

Initial setup was difficult and I had to work with an expert to build Salesforce to be right for my type of projects.

Overall is great! It's expensive and the ROI is clear if you have a sales cycle that is longer than 1 month , B2B and selling to mid market enterprises.

Pros

I tried different CRM but Salesforce is the best when it comes to review Data. Building reports and dashboards is super easy and the results are 100% accurate.

Cons

It takes a bit too long to implement. If you go in the settings and you want to change a few things, you soon find yourself in front of hundreds of sections and voices and it's quite confusing.

Pros

My favorite things about SFDC is that it integrates with so much of the rest of my tech stack.

Cons

The UI is a little clunky at times, although Lightning has improved this somewhat.

This is a well-regarded industry standard CRM platform you can't go wrong with. Startups can look for cheaper options, but this is the gold standard for larger companies who have established practices and a roster of clients.

Pros

The best parts are the ability to customize the sales process, integrate with other enterprise tools, collaborative tools, real time analytics and mobile access.

Cons

Expensive solution - but the feature set, customizations and integrations with other platforms can make up for the additional cost.

Quite expensive as compared to other CRM software that is currently available. Feels like a "pay-to-play" app, that keeps tacking on prices to your add ons. Otherwise, very useful for sales departments. Provides the accountability that is sorely needed while managing sales persons. Remove a large portion of the bickering that can occur between individuals.

Pros

Is a must for email tracing and email management. Highly critical for quote and pricing management. Allows ease of use for workforce management, by allowing anyone with access to view on going sales.

Cons

Really wants you to use all of the applications they provide, even if they're not all that useful in the moment.

My experience with Salesforce has been largely confined to donor database/fundraising CRM functions, which may pre-define the context through which I have operated the software. But in many cases, I have found that the "custom solutions" provided by the Salesforce platform could have been far more easily mitigated by a much simpler solution (ie, a report that requires nearly 30 minutes to run and could have been simplified by a number of steps and did not require \*all\* the information that it included.) Furthermore, as someone who is fairly tech-saavy with CRM software, I often found myself running into issues of user error (ie, applying a filter that made an entire report no longer applicable) which I had no experienced in other platforms.

Pros

\-Very customizable (in fact, I have no idea what Salesforce looks like "off the shelf," because I don't think I have ever utilized a version that wasn't highly customized) -Impressive integration features with email platforms, scheduling tools, analytics, etc. -Huge market share in the industry, so a plethora of resources available, including user-generated forums and boards for common trouble-shooting

Cons

\-To truly benefit from the highly customizable nature of the product, I would recommend that any prospective buyer seek professional assistance in setting it up (know what questions to ask to get the answers you actually need) -The highly customizable features of Salesforce have led to more than one case of bugs and usability issues, especially across various staff departments and users -There is a real learning curve for many users, which can add to the "get in there and break it" potential of adding new users/admins/etc.

Great when using everything in the platform, finicky when used in conjuction with Gmail.

Pros

It made it easy to keep track of my leads, set reminders, track emails, and stay on top of my sales cycle.

Cons

It was finicky with Gmail. If I sent an email through Salesforce it would tell me when and how often the client opened the email. But when I sent emails through Gmail (my preference because of ease of access across devices) the Salesforce Lightning feature would track when I sent the email and upload the text to Salesforce but it would not track when and how often the client opened the email, which was a major loss of information. Sometimes it would fail to track the email at all.

Overall I enjoy using this product. We actually switched back to it from another product we used in its place. The team who met with us, more than once, to customize it to our needs was amazing. They were very accommodating and professional. I'm beyond relieved we switched back to Salesforce!

Pros

I enjoy the simplicity of the product. I use it daily, so it has to be effective and understandable. With the urgency in my position I have to be able to access and I put information in the necessary areas without any issues. The interface is clean and very user friendly.

Cons

The updated version I have no cons. The version before looked outdated. It didn't have a modern look and wasn't customized to my needs. The updated version has everything I need, and as things change, things can be added or removed.

Salesforce really helps make sure that nothing slips between the cracks. It provides a single, organized location for everything from personal notes about potential clients, to the ability to track potential profit.

Pros

Very customizable! With a good admin, you can set up Salesforce to collect, display, and track exactly what your team needs to know, with customized levels of visibility and access. I've used Salesforce for healthcare clients all the way to public school clients - Salesforce helps make sure that any client or contract can go from a "potential" to a reality by helping keep track of communication, notes, deadlines, and where projects are stagnating. For teams and execs who don't have time to drill down into the details, the ability to customize and create reports with graphics is fantastic. You can create a snapshot of where members of your sales teams are at (profit, conversions, potential money on the line, number of stalled projects, etc.) - a great tool for motivating your team and helping decide where to invest your energy. If you don't have time to run reports every day, you can customize your home screen to automatically see the follow-up reminders, graphs, and data that's applicable to your position and your priorities.

Cons

Salesforce's customization options simultaneously can be its best and worst feature. If your admin doesn't set up required fields, report parameters, and access settings, Salesforce can be an absolute nightmare for everyone on the team. If something feels "clunky" or "broken," it's probably in your settings, and not in the software.

### "Good for enterprises... not so much smaller businesses"

Salesforce has a lot of power, and with such a wide customer base, anything you need to accomplish has probably been done before. However, since it's been around for so long, it feels as though there are some restrictions on how much they're able to innovate - particularly with the user experience. You need advanced technical knowledge to accomplish anything out of the box. We had a scenario too where we had to manually fill 3 contact fields each time we created a contact, just to get the reporting we wanted. There might have been a better solution, but after putting hours and hours into it, it's not something we were able to figure out. Long story short, if you run a large organization and have technical resources, Salesforce is probably a great choice. If you're a small business or entrepreneur wanting to manage your sales process, there are more simple alternatives on the market.

Pros

\- A lot of flexibility - Integrates with most other software (like HubSpot) - Lots of tutorials/help docs since it's so widely used

Cons

\- Not the most user-friendly - Feels like enterprise software as opposed to modern technology - Very complex to accomplish anything out-of-the box

### "A Classic Tool for the modern business"

I've always been a fan, since the day I started using the tool, you can actually create a custom search engine on google chrome for salesforce (I recommend you search and do it, you will thank me)

Pros

I've been using salesforce for the past 4+ years now. mostly in the capacity of a sales consultant. The amount of flexibility and data you can capture and keep track of is insane. It probably integrates with every top business tool (plugins). You could have all your data linked to the same lead/contact/account in one place. The ability to create reports, dashboards, different types of views just help stakeholder to build complete visibility for everyone and also keep track of how your team is doing (You do need some help getting used to the report/dashboard builder but once you get a hang of it, you won't stop)

Cons

While I use the application in a classic view, the new lightning version takes a lot of time to get used to (I know people say that the new version is better, and in most cases it always is).

Pros

Where do I start? SalesForce is hands down my favorite CRM I've used throughout my career. From lead management to order processing, this software is your home. Im a big fan of SF classic, but have used lightning these past couple of months and I'm excited for the future of Salseforce. The customer service team at SF is top notch! Every time I have an issue I report it and I receive a phone call (usually same day) and my issue is resolved. I would recommend SF to anybody that is having any type of issues with their current CRM

Cons

Its difficult ot customize the CRM you want after your org is up and running. When you get a new CRM you start to find things you need or dont need. Coding in SF. for me, isnt easy so we use a 3rd party when we need to make internal adjustments. Other than that, I love SF
