### "Great Data Entry Tool"

January 15, 2019

4.0

Pros

During my position as a data entry associate, we used Salesforce on a daily basis. It was pretty intimidating at first to learn all the different features and functions on there, but once you get the hang of it, it gets a lot easier. The best features on there were how to create and organize tasks. Those were easy to create and I was always able to go back at anytime and make any edits, updates, or changes. The ability to add start and stop timestamps on projects was something that was crucial to my role and always helped me get back to where I left off without any hassle. In addition, it was easy to access the client's information when it came to contact details, address information, and any listed activities that I needed to review. It's fast and quick to work on and one can access it from anywhere (phone, laptop, iPad)-this is an excellent added feature.

Cons

The biggest issue I had with it was in the beginning, when I first started using it. It takes time to learn how navigate through the different tabs and organize things. So it definitely needs getting used to. Also, it can get confusing sometimes, because it is super detailed and you can layer different information. It could be more user-friendly to make it less challenging for beginners at least.

### "Salesforces ups and downs"

October 6, 2020

3.0

Keeps track of things well but requires a lot of care and feeding.

Pros

The task management works 99% of the time and is the most useful feature for us. We run the entire business off of current and future tasks to make sure we contact people. Contact and Account management is not bad.

Cons

It is not easy to make changes in screens and lists. Interface is clunky. When you make changes to a task, the save button moves and you lose it.

### "Saleforce is invaluable, if configured and used correctly"

December 12, 2019

5.0

It is an essential tool for medium to enterprise businesses, but it has to be designed well from the beginning. Implemented properly, the executive team, operations, sales leadership, inside sales, direct sales, marketing, and more will benefit.

Pros

HIGHLY customizable. All data fields can be pulled into reporting/dashboards. To implement properly, you have to reverse-engineer what metrics are important to your business. Once you have a comprehensive understanding of the reporting that you want to see then you can build fields, pick-lists, radio buttons, etc so you capture all relevant data. The beauty is that you are not at all limited to the out-of-the-box configuration (which is good, but generic). In the past I have built in lead sources and ROI, appointment setting quality grading, commission reporting, stack ranking, and many other highly customized reports. Start with the end in mind and then find a good implementation partner who can execute on your plan.

Cons

Cost and support at the lower levels. Unless you have (pay for) their premium support, their customer service is not quick to act.

### "Salesforce for UKG"

October 6, 2020

5.0

Pros

Salesforce is our support case tracking system for our support department. I can only speak to how we use it and we live and breathe on it each day. It is the tool our clients use to get self service help, open tickets, communicate through chat to support, track their cases, sign up for training courses, and many other items. It gives us the ability to organize our work and allow team members across the organization to see anything they need about a client. Salesforce is always stable and is there when we need it.

Cons

Just that it does not perform well on every web browser. At least for us in support, Chrome has been the best option so we stick with it. We had lots of problems with Salesforce and Internet Explorer in the past.

### "Great functionality, just a little clunky"

December 20, 2018

4.0

Our brokerage has been using this for years to compile our SOI and sales reports, and it has worked wonders. The numbers we get are reliable, and the customer support truly wants to make our experience as good as possible (not to mention as custom for our needs). Once you get the hang of navigating around all the pages, it's a breeze.

Pros

Our team/company has been able to work with the excellent customer support to truly customize our "version" of SalesForce for real estate transaction records, client information, mailings, and financial reports. Any data you could want to add and search by is doable, and there are countless features available (graphs of our team income, who we should be calling next with the highest chance of putting together a deal, and more).

Cons

I think having so much data and so many functions can make it a little clunky to use. There are lots of things that I don't use in my role, that our realtors use, and vice versa. So it would be nice to have only the information and accesses available that are relevant.

### "Great for organizing customer information. Integration into other systems could be improved"

August 18, 2017

4.0

Overall, salesforce is a stronger tool for a sales team than a customer service team.

Pros

Salesforce is a great tool to keep track of customer information like contact details, communication history, and even a check box to identify difficult customers. By changing the titles of emails once they are saved, other co-workers can quickly see the status of an account. For instance, let's assume I have been emailing a customer to get an updated credit card number and they call a different co-worker to find out why the order has not shipped. That co-worker can easily do a search under the customer's name or company and with a glance see that I have trying to get new credit card information. They can immediately answer the customer. I also like that phone calls can be placed directly through salesforce. With integration into the company phone system, but logging in and hitting a button, your phone will call the customer. Also, the sales team can post - just like on facebook's wall - about their latest activities. This gives other teams the ability to see if there are any areas of concern or emphasis when they talk with that same customer.

Cons

There is a lack of customization that can make this out of the box solution a little unwieldy for individual companies. For example, each customer can only be associated with one email address. Therefore, if a customer sometimes emails you from their work email and sometimes from their home email, the conversations cannot be grouped under one person. Also, emails cannot be sent directly from salesforce.com. Instead, it integrates with MS Outlook. In my experience, that integration can sometimes have issues where emails are not saved on salesforce. Also, the user has to go back into salesforce after sending the email to add information and change the subject to be more easily searchable by colleagues.

### "Customizable Software"

May 20, 2020

3.0

Good overall experience, but feel like it's not as easy as it should be.

Pros

Salesforce appears to be trying to be everything for everyone, and through their incredible customizations, they are somewhat pulling it off. The Software can really do just about anything. It is so much more than a CRM. We use it for our entire ERP and leasing platform.

Cons

Unintuitive - Difficult to find the solutions you are looking for. Learning Curve - Huge learning curve in learning this software, especially from an Admin perspective Expensive - Full enterprise software is not cheap. Per user costs can be cost prohibitive for some business models. Fragile - Because it's SO customizable, it's easy to break unless numerous validations, security and other 3rd party apps are installed. Takes so much time to set-up right, but cheaper than implementing your own solution. Not Quite There - There are a few features that are hard to believe aren't there, and a few limitations that seem silly.

### "Salesforce Overall Review"

January 7, 2019

5.0

My overall experience with Salesforce as been great. Its ideal for organizing tasks, managing a pipeline, and seeing where you stand in terms of your sales goal.

Pros

I really enjoy how Salesforce organizes my tasks and gives me options to prioritize certain tasks/reminders higher than others. I have used Salesforce at various jobs I have had, and I prefer this CRM to others I have used. I really like how overdue tasks come in red, and how it is very easy to stay on top of my clients. Another great feature I love are the dashboards. At one of my companies, I was able to see how far away I was from goal, where I ranked with other sales reps, and how my team was doing in real-time.

Cons

The one thing I really did not like was reporting. I loved how I could make almost any report I wanted, however, I was not a fan of how difficult it was. I have been using Salesforce for 3 years, and even got trained on how to build reports, and I am still not comfortable with building a brand new report.

### "A Comprehensive Sales Management Solution"

January 23, 2023

5.0

Pros

It offers a wide range of features and tools to manage all aspects of the sales process, including lead and opportunity management, account and contact management, and forecasting and reporting. user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it easy for my sales team to find the information they need quickly and moreover the best part is Integration with other Salesforce products, such as Salesforce Service Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, allows us to have a seamless and unified view of our customer interactions.

Cons

The platform can be complex and might require some time to fully understand and master all its features.Cost is definitely high for small businesses, but it's worth it for large businesses that need an enterprise-level solution.

### "Difficult to use with so many features and options"

April 19, 2020

5.0

Overall Salesforce gets the job done. It integrates with many different products giving you the ability to customize it many different ways. Salesforce isn't necessarily user friendly, it's touchy when it comes to pulling reports, lists, and setting up new campaigns. The learning curve is high when it comes to Salesforce.

Pros

Salesforce integrates well with almost any suite of products. They have a massive market place with many different products, but basically every software out there is built to work hand in hand with Salesforce. It's extremely customizable. The mobile version is also top notch.

Cons

Salesforce is massively difficult to use. So much so that people actually get paid to be experts on how to manage it for a company. They have a school for education on how to use the product because of how difficult it is to manage. If you don't get it right information doesn't pull, integrations can break easily, it can become sluggish, reports don't pull correctly. Also the look of the program really lacks in appeal to me.

### "Salesforce: the beast that you love (and hate)"

September 5, 2019

5.0

We have enjoyed Salesforce for many reasons besides the basic ones. It has allowed us to automate and streamline processes and connect all of our customer information in one place. The customer service team is great however support can be tough to reach and may take longer than hoped for.

Pros

I like how intuitive the software is as well as how customizable it is for our business.

Cons

The intuitiveness and customization can be overwhelming for the initial setup. If you are not familiar with Salesforce, it's best to have help setting up the software for your needs rather than doing this on your own.

### "Salesforce From a Daily User"

January 22, 2019

5.0

I am very pleased with this product and since I am able to use it on a daily basis, I can say that I have mastered my role within it. Just be aware that as a user it will require some learning to function.

Pros

Being that the company I work for uses the CRM as a means to track and run reports, I have to say that it is highly effective and never crashes. It is a web based system and offers great flexibility when it comes to report generation. You are able to extract the reports in excel or PDF formats. Another pro is the fact that you may purchase as many user licenses as you can afford.

Cons

Let’s get this out of the way, the system is expensive and has some limitation. The ease of use is also not something to look forward to as many organizations resort to Salesforce administrators to manage the users and their access. All in all it requires some learning to master.

### "Salesforce Keeps us Organized!"

December 3, 2019

5.0

We're staying more organized and on track when it comes to customer support and leads. We no longer have to dig through our email inboxes to find a note from a client since we've gotten used to copying & pasting notes into their account. It keeps our whole team on the same page and our business has been thriving!

Pros

At first, we were basically using Salesforce as a large Contact list since we didn't really understand the full functionality of the software. But after attending some free webinars, we learned that it offers so much more! We're now using Salesforce to track projects, leads, emails, meeting notes, and more. The customer support is amazing and they always get right back to us with questions. The new Lighting mode is super fast, easy to use (after you take some time to learn your way around), and innovative. We also like the customization aspect and the Admin portal has a ton to offer that we didn't realize at first.

Cons

It can be a little overwhelming and hard to learn at first, but their support team and free webinars/classes make that easy. Switching over from the Classic to Lighting mode was also hard at first, but you can get used to it after some time.

### "I HATE SALESFORCE AND HOPE IT DIES"

May 13, 2021

1.0

At first years ago it seemed slick and like I could do a lot but at the EOD it's worthless because it requires it to be built out properly which never happens and causing bloating. I hope this company goes out of business.

Pros

Nothing. It's over bloated and I absolutely have quit 3 coming onto 4 jobs specifically because this crap makes work not worth doing.

Cons

The amount of extra bs going on is so overwhelming and on top of it being slower Austin traffic during rush hour.

Reason for choosing Salesforce Sales Cloud

I didn't. I just worked there.

### "Salesforce is great for enterprises!"

October 16, 2018

5.0

Used Salesforce for marketing services. Mostly for the campaign functionality and tracking customer journeys and differentiating between marketing campaigns.

Pros

Very reliable software and the customer service is always responsive. There are so many users that it is almost considered a universal software for enterprises; therefore it's a great when communicating or transitioning between enterprises because often people can be on the same terms. Organized and have never had many errors or issues with the software. A great company that offers plenty of support. This tool integrates well with many other softwares. There are also so many options that it can meet the needs of many types of companies.

Cons

It is not user friendly. Requires training and plenty of use before it becomes second nature. But, once it's understood, there are so many options with data and tracking that it is worth it in my opinion. Also, it is expensive, so maybe not the best option for small or new business.

### "Good product, Uncertain if right fit for smaller business"

August 23, 2022

4.0

It's been an improvement of where we were. We are missing out on taking full advantage of it primarily due to time commit.

Pros

There are TONS of great features in Salesforce. We can do a lot and manage a lot all within this platform. However, for a smaller business setting up all of these features takes a large amount of resources - or you pay a hefty some for someone else to do it.

Cons

The intriguing features required high level understanding or massive time commit, or pay someone a lot to do it for you. The integrations are GREAT....except, not when on the "Essentials" Package. So, we are missing out on so much of the integrations because we use Essentials. For the platform itself any other package doesn't make sense for our size of company, but we have to miss out on most of the beneficial integrations available.

### "Best In Class CRM Software"

October 6, 2022

5.0

Pros

Salesforce is considered the best CRM out there for a reason. The software is modern, easily customizable and easily scalable. It also natively integrates with almost every cloud-based software out there and any integrations that don't exist can often be managed via Zapier. For more complicated integrations, our development team will occasionally need to use the API. The software is indispensable to our marketing, sales and customer relations teams and we are considering making it accessible to even more teams because it is that valuable to our business.

Cons

The ability to customize and scale the software so easily can sometimes cause problems. For most CRM activities, it is best to use Salesforce's native parameters and record types. Otherwise, the software can get out of hand quickly.

I used this system for documentation and valuable information on each ndividual students. The sayin around Campus is ..."If it's not in Salesforce, It didn't happen". This whole college operated around Salesforce, I have been using it for 14 years. Excellant software .

Pros

Easliy accesible, able to input valauble information of each student attending the college. I was able to track attendance, and grades. I was able to communicate with Professors, and set up meetings.

Cons

The time spent in training co-workers, I would have liked a step by step manual in the system to allow others to go through the process on their own.

### "A well-proven product for the great amount of reliability, scalability, and quality."

April 4, 2018

5.0

Pros

Salesforce.com is a leader in CRM market in both aspects existing customer base and acquiring new customers. Salesforce is quite aggressive in its selling pitch and new features building in the app. It has brought a great amount of mobility in the sales teams using Salesforce.com by introducing the mobile version of this application. There was a time (around a couple of years back) when there used to be some issues with respect to its functionality and usability. Both these shortfalls have been covered well during last two years. Probably the need for faster filling of gap arises out of higher competition that has increased recently.

### "Salesforce for sales"

January 8, 2019

5.0

10/10 would recommend! Like I said in previous comments it's an awesome tool for working with leads/prospects. Salesforce keeps you organized so you stay on top of your workflow. Salesforce is also a great reporting tool. You can generate reports on numerous things to give you real time data.

Pros

Well I work in sales. And this tool makes it possible to stay on top of and keep track of leads and prospects. If you have ever worked sales using an excel sheet to keep track of leads then you know how valuable of a tool saleforce can be. I like it because the learning curve isn't too steep you can pick it up right away. But for sales it's awesome too! because you can segment your prospects and assign them to different modes along the sales journey ( cold, warm, hot). Overall a great tool.

Cons

Cons there is a lot you can do with salesforce. In so much that it can be a little intimidating. I wish their was a simplified version for when you first start out to get you used to the software...but hey that's showbiz baby.
