### "Essential and easy to use with minimal training"

January 15, 2020

4.0

Overall my experience is positive. The tool is an essential business platform and is really in a league of there own in this type of market. The glitches the product does have do not prevent me from being able to use the tool - they simply require a bit of a workaround that does cost minimal time.

Pros

What I enjoy most about the software is the ability to view an account from all business aspects. In one simple home view, you can see all basic information about an account, the products that have been purchased for that account and even detail as specific as to whether or not the business on an account has been trained on a specific platform or not.

Cons

While I love that in one view you can see so much information, this does cause for difficulty finding exactly what is needed for my role in a given moment. Often times I find myself searching a page for keywords rather than having the ability to scroll and find where I need to be on my own. I should note there are some workarounds for this issue and pages do have the functionality to be filtered to only information that is needed for a specific role, but that does require a level of skillset I do not have. When sending an email in Salesforce, there is a character limit which I understand may be necessary but that does not make it any less frustrating when errors are being thrown with a simple user interface message stating "too many characters" instead a string of red text appears that is not exactly readable or easy to make sense of.

### "Salesforce Sales Cloud"

October 9, 2023

5.0

Pros

### "We are a small company looking to grow, and Salesforce was our first big step towards that"

June 8, 2018

5.0

Pros

Coming from RedTail, which was almost primative, Salesforce was a huge step and culture shock for us (in a good way). We realized there was just such a more efficient way to run our business utilizing Salesforce, it one-thousand percent lives up to its reputation. I like that there's so much room to customize it - if we want to add a new field in "Account Type", we can do that - if I want to assign a lead to a team member, I can do that, if I want to track an e-mail or log a call, I can do this as well. At this point in our company, business development and fundraising is mission critical and Salesforce helps us get to where we need to be.

Cons

Unless you're paying for Premium service, speaking to an actual representative for answers can be a bit of a drag. There's no direct customer service line - so if we have a question or need help working our way through a problem, we have to "log a case" through Trailblazer and wait for a call. They push using Trailblazer to find your answers, but sometimes we don't have the time to search and just want to speak with an actual human being, and with Salesforce there's no easy way to do this without first going through their online community.

### "Easy to use and fast to learn"

January 7, 2021

5.0

Pros

Salesforce makes it easy to track all interactions with a prospect and/or client- from the start of the outreach process with that cold call to when the sales opportunity closes. From there, you can manage the relationship's touch points- tracking when calls are scheduled and other activities. It's also useful to track your goals or progress toward those metrics.

Cons

With the shift from Classic to Lightning, the interface itself looks better (visually). The dashboards are more interactive, but I have difficulty editing the reports now. In the Classic view, it was easier to edit reports but now I have trouble doing so.

### "The best there is...but also could be better..."

September 12, 2019

5.0

Pros

Salesforce is incredibly powerful. It gives the ability to manage a pipeline from lead to customer better than any other software out there. It honestly can do so much more than any one company can effectively utilize. It is scalable for a start-up or a company with tens of thousands of employees.

Cons

Because Salesforce has so much capability, users can get lost in the weeds. What I mean is that most companies will not lock down Salesforce enough. There will be some reps working in Classic, some in Lightning. There will be some reps using the Sales Console and some using Sales. With everyone doing things differently, it is very difficult to put into place best practices. Another dislike are the load times for accounts and such. Since it is cloud based, load times are effected by the resources dedicated to the program and quite frankly companies always skimp in this area.

### "Various Tasks in One Place"

December 1, 2019

5.0

This has put all of our Workforce tasks in one spot. Salesforce helps with time-off requests, schedule generation, forecasting, adherence, and so many more. Salesforce also helps with KPIs, call monitoring, and desktop analytics.

Pros

With Salesforce, I am able to accomplish various tasks. Workforce planning is one task that Salesforce takes care of work ease. Another task that I'm able to accomplish is KPIs and live recording of my agents work-related actions.

Cons

It can be difficult to ensure that Salesforce is developed to your needs. We experience many issues with slowness and constant maintainence. To be fair, this may be because we have high expectations and we are a large company.

### "Is the price and learning curve something you can afford?"

May 26, 2020

5.0

We are using salesforce as our CRM. It is the only one that actually works with our other systems. We really like having one environment to operate in as opposed to several systems.

Pros

The marketing automation is hands down the best in the market. The ability to nurture prospects through the sales cycle is amazing. Lead generation tools are top-notch, sales tools, and the sales system is set up for growth, and customer retention is a breeze as well.

Cons

It is expensive to implement. We needed a consultant to help us with setup, which was not cheap. Also the learning curve for over 200 employees took time.

Switched from

We made the switch so we could monitor all marketing efforts in one system.

### "organizational software with a lot of clutter"

February 7, 2021

3.0

While overall the solution is satisfactory, there are still a few points for improvement, which are often not discovered until after a few days of in-situ use.

Pros

Salesforce is one of the most successful customer relationship management (CRM) solutions on the market, and especially one of the best known. He is clearly the leader in the world ... the interface is well done and a variation of information sources.

Cons

There seem to be inconsistencies in the way certain attributes work, which sometimes leads to having to create a custom solution for something that already exists as a standard solution. For example, some standard fields do not allow you to define a default value. In these cases, you are forced to create a custom field with the same name just so that you can have the functionality you need.

### "Order and customer management system "

October 12, 2020

5.0

We’re able to optimize website order flow, customer management, and order management, all through a modern platform that confirms to several other systems in our order flow seamlessly, allowing us to quickly implement this system and maintain it.

Pros

We use this program to process orders as well as maintain the customer database. In addition, this program exports data to a separate shipping system to complete order flow. The order and customer management aspects are helpful for quick and speedy updates. From a customer service standpoint, we’re needing the ability to track and edit customer profile details, such as resetting the account password, or updating an address, or checking on loyalty program data. From an order perspective, this helps track more details on how an order was placed, discounts used, and more, allowing us to better troubleshoot order or system issues and deploy remedies more quickly.

Cons

The UI is great, although sometimes the search system can be a bit finicky. This isn’t quite boolean, so unless you know what you’re looking for, you could struggle to locate it. Fortunately, we use several systems that provide the key details in the event that a broader search is needed. However, the number of parameters you can search for in SF is great, so I find this con is rarely affecting performance.

### "Not Complainers but…"

Recording data & customer relation

Pros

It is helpful that we can record every step of a Workorder.

Cons

From our perspective SF blew the way it handled the migration update of SF Maps. When we were notified about the migration, we tested SF Maps in the sandbox and after months of testing migrated the product to our live instance of SF. Shortly afterwards, our users noticed a couple erratic behaviors that disrupted the application. The SF Maps technical people tried to help, but the fix required many hours with our developers who found issues not known to SF technical people and cost our company thousands of dollars which SF refused to help with! Our frustrations were compounded when we found it impossible to make our concerns known to SF management. From our perspective SF purchased Map Anything, made changes to incorporate it into SF and then let their clients eat all the cost of updating their product! Our company had earlier purchased Map Anything and had done custom developement. We had already absorbed significant costs to run Map Anything. The fact that we could not address our concerns to SF Management is very disturbing. They basically said..to bad, you are on your own and were unwilling to work something out with us! Sometimes large companies make you feel small. Beware of updates!

### "Does what it says on the tin"

October 13, 2020

4.0

All in all, a very useful tool and has improved my business and daily workflow substantially. Can't recommend it highly enough for all to use.

Pros

It's a force for your sales. Great tool that goes a long way to helping improve my sales pipeline and I would recommend to all

Cons

Making it integrate with excel would be good, I am old and like excel. Tying the two together would have been helpful when transitioning to salesforce.

### "The excel of the sales"

October 27, 2020

5.0

My overall experience with SalesForce has been really positive, it is my favorite tool at work. I am still learning bout some of the features that can be applied to my position.

Pros

What I like the most about SalesForce (and I am a big fan of it) its the possibilities that it offers to a user, it is really unlimited! I have been using it for a while and I always learn a new way to use it at work. In my case I can use it to track sales, to contact customers, I use it as a google searcher, I make reports and I can analyze my teamwork, I am absolutely in love with this software.

Cons

I actually haven't found any problem with SalesForce, it os really useful and easy to use, its display its beautiful.

### "Top CRM, although very expensive"

April 16, 2022

5.0

Pros

I love using Salesforce as a CRM tool, as well as a tool to automate internal processes. The "out of the box" functionality can support all your sales processes and on top of that, it can be easily extended to support more features like CPQ, Quoting, etc.

Cons

It is very expensive. Licenses are per user and there are other limitations within a license so you have to be careful when making the purchase

### "SalesForce-The Ultimate CRM"

March 26, 2019

5.0

I've been working with Salesforce for 2-3 years now. I love it. It helps me keep track of e-mails, people, cases, leads, accounts, and much much more. It's definitely a high-level CRM; I wouldn't suggest this CRM for beginner companies, but for larger or growing companies-Salesforce is a must.

Pros

The swiss-army like nature of the platform; or essentially, the variety of options available to document any and all information that you'd to save in terms of sales, accounts, leads, cases, and much more. It is literally a one stop shop; you can even send your e-mails through it-don't even need to log-in to my regular inbox half of my work days.

Cons

It can be a bit tricky to understand how to use some of the variable options due to their being so many options. Mass Deletion of tasks, for example, was a bit of a hassle to understand and figure out. Thankfully there is great customer service and account managers that can help you figure such things out.

### "Mid-tier pricing for good reports, decent management"

October 9, 2020

4.0

It works! The customer service is outstanding. Reporting gives you a drill down to any depth you desire. There are some kinks that could be sorted on the function of links to make them more intuitive so one doesn't have to 'remember the secret code' to find the correct data fields. Contact management is often a struggle in high-turnover fields, but finances, documents, and hierarchies seem to be upfront.

Pros

I like the reporting functionality of Salesforce. I can work with upper rights individuals to add very minute customizations to already existing reports. There is a lot of data collected that can be used in reporting. Attaching documentation, assigning tasks, tracking ledger entries versus corresponding invoices, and contact management function in an above average way. The Chatter function gives great, quick connections to employees and collegues company-wide. Customer services is fantastic and highly responsive.

Cons

There are some link issues. It's not as intuitive as one would hope. You can find the information from record to records or within a hierarchy, but you have to know the best process to get where you want to be. The data is there, but finding it can be a challenge if you are not experienced in the system. Also, the entering of demographic information is a lengthy process. You want the data, you have to work to get it all entered. Making mass contact updates seems dauntingly impossible, especially for industries that experience a lot of turnover.

### "Top shelf for a reason"

September 12, 2021

5.0

It's been everything we've asked for at my last 3 jobs, even with different teams implementing and managing, it's never disappointed.

Pros

I've been using CRMs for the better part of the past 2 decades and I've witnessed how Salesforce.com ate up the market, and for a good reason: their ability to release new features, integrate user-requested capabilities and of late, AI and automation cadences made it by far the most complete option out there.

Cons

It's pricey, and customization is expensive.

### "Salesforce CRM, very useful and easy to use."

April 18, 2018

4.0

A representative can easily verify if a potential client is already being requested to prevent us from looking disorganized with a potential client.

Pros

Salesforce allows you to add as much customization as you think necessary. You can get granularity with your Salesforce configuration, creating different configurations with profiles, record types, page layouts and other permissions, the product can manage contacts and potential customers, providing an easy way to configure key tasks and indicators for communication, we have our integrated email and text marketing tools, as well as our own tool. It's good to have everything in one place, what I like most about Salesforce is their ability to follow up. Our teams can make informed decisions based on the data reports we have created.

Cons

I often dislike how clumsy the system is when going through different sections, but that's more of a specific reference to the way our Salesforce administrator decided to set it up. Salesforce has a steep learning curve from an administrator's perspective, and although Salesforce offers many resources to learn, it takes time to get to the point where you can see how poorly your implementation partner did it, which makes it difficult to correct your mistakes.

### "One of the powerful CRM ever"

May 11, 2019

5.0

I am using this CRM for more than three years and found that creating a campaign , tracking each and every accounts and contacts are very easy and very effective with this platform. I can see the overall and complete picture in it. I can say this is one of the powerful CRM I have ever seen.

Pros

I like almost everything about Salesforce. Salesforce user interface is amazing, it is very easy to use, effective, fast, reliable and secure. I am using it for more than 3 years and found no issue till date. Salesforce mobile app is amazing and very easy to use too. I like the way we can maintain our database, create the campaign and track each and every account in this amazing CRM. Salesforce dashboards have amazing features and give a proper view of what an organization wants.

Cons

There is one thing that I like least about this CRM is that this CRM is a little bit expensive compared to other CRM but I think it is worth to spend on this platform.

### "Salesforce through the small guys eyes"

December 18, 2018

3.0

My review is from the sub-100 employee company perspective. Salesforce is obviously the gold standard of CRM software and has built its reputation on being the biggest and the "first" enterprise scalable software. Unfortunately, because of that and it's domination of the market, it seems to rest on its laurels and not adapt. The software is highly reliant on third-party applications that run on the platform and many of those are "fly by night" developers who make a quick buck adding a feature then never updating the code. In an age where the services we use (for instance Gdrive or Onedrive) consistently tweak and adjust their PIS, you can easily get stuck on the expensive Salesforce platform and no ability to use that connected service after a weekend API update. If you are a developer you will find "clunky" code and plenty of opportunities to interfere and even break other developers code the client is using. As a user, it's very unintuitive is no customized. The terminology used feels like a foreign language. Why have a follow-up call be a "marketing opportunity." I understand Salesforce uses a 20,000' methodology and everything can be customized, it's just strange to me they can't offer an "out of the box" solution. Everything said, Salesforce is not for a small to mid-sized business, I feel it's for those needing the horsepower for 500 or more employees. It's a horrible investment for very small companies (less than 50)

Pros

Lots of features. A strong and dedicated community of users. Almost unlimited number of outside developers to create customizations.

Cons

Lots of features many poorly implemented or impossible to use. An almost unlimited number of outside developers to create customizations many of which conflict with other features and support can be horrible.

### "Salesforce is great!"

January 6, 2021

5.0

Have used Salesforce for ~1 year. It's been a great tool for managing a sales pipeline, including all the needed data for opportunities, and providing insightful dashboards.

Pros

The quick views of the custom sales dashboards is insightful, I can view personal results as well as our team's results at a glance.

Cons

Integration with my Gmail inbox has been a bit clunky and as a result some emails weren't tracked properly in Salesforce - needs to be refreshed daily.
