Pros

Management became easy:- With visual dashboards and extensive reporting features, Salesforce provides the management of a company with visibility on what is happening in different teams. Online Help feature for salesforce users:- Salesforce users can easily find answers to their questions from the extensive online help manual and the video walk facility. Application Integration:- Salesforce can be integrated with other systems to extend its functionality through the Salesforce business app store - the AppExchange. Salesforce in Customer Support Team :- Salesforce also keeps a track of various customer issues and tracks them for resolution based on various escalation rules such as the importance of the client and elapsed time. This improves customer satisfaction levels as the issues do not fall through loopholes and are directly escalated to the next level. Salesforce in Marketing Team :-Salesforce professional edition helps the marketing team of a company create and track various marketing campaigns to measure the success rate and automatically provide leads to the sales team of the company.

Cons

Lots of screen refreshes and scrolling up and down; the transition between multiple screens to process transactions delivers a tedious experience. Dashboards may not reflect the application security for specific users without significant administration effort. No Service Level Agreement provided in standard contract. Data center reliability has been questioned and several major interruptions in service have been widely publicized. Salesforce contains barriers to adoption. This means that even though Salesforce is cheap, the cost to integrate the application and redesigning their IT to incorporate it into a company is not the same as the cost of acquiring Salesforce. It is possible that the cost of integrating it can exceed the costs of the software itself. At times, there can be too much customization and the interface can be filled with cumbersome and tedious tools which can be seen as repetitive or distracting.

Cons

A great tool that is easy to use every day and it's helpful to keep track of large (and important) amounts of data.

Pros

I like the versatility and flexibility offered by Salesforce in terms of its features and overall lead/contact/customer management. It's great that it integrates with Outlook and Pardot, for example, making it easier to keep track of everything that's going on. It has a robust and versatile reporting system that is great for auditing lists of leads/contacts and opportunities. It's also good to keep track of each stage of each sale of each owner/salesperson. Highly customizable.

Cons

The migration from Classic to Lightning could be more straightforward in terms of migrating old applications. However, I can't complain about the effort the company is putting to make this easier, as Salesforce provides great support materials and assessments to help companies migrate from Classic to LEX.

This has been a great program to gain experience in but has required a lot of patience as there is a learning curve. I feel like as a salesperson, it is almost necessary to have experience with using Salesforce.

Pros

I love the brand recognition and credibility of this platform.

Cons

The platform is not user friendly. Extensive training is required and things are not intuitive.

I've used a lot of homegrown CRM's and they really were not a good replacement for Salesforce. They didn't have all the API's to pull data from different sources and it wasn't as smooth.

Pros

It streamlined our ad operations tasks and set constraints which safeguard us when campaigns are to be set up. In other words, in order for a task to populate into our queue, a lot of constraints needed to be met which from a process stand point, keeps you buttoned up. Also it ensured that if constraints were not met then we were not over extending ourselves.

Cons

Personally I don't have any complaints other than there are so many tools to leverage within SalesForce that you don't have time to learn everything. Perhaps more training on how to get insightful/meaningful data.

Very easy to to access with SSO, and very easy to use, gives broad visibility on all accounts or sales lead managed by the company.

Pros

It tracks everything related to Sales and existing customers - great use in the bid management process, to see the various stages of the sales process or the different steps accomplished for an existing account. Also great to track an account's history within the company - helps when a new sales person takes over teh account - everything is tracked!

Cons

Sales people need to be very precise and involved to update each account - it can be time consuming for them but it's for a good cause!

Literally everything I do for work lives in our version of Salesforce. Again, a positive and a negative. It cam become quite cumbersome to do some tasks. Some of the simplest things either can't be done or are so cumbersome, they're not worth doing. It can provide an infinite amount of information, which is good. But you can get bogged down trying to get that info and then evaluating it. Overall, a great tool.

Pros

It provides tremendous flexibility for customization to your specific company/industry. It can do a zillion different functions/tasks/pieces of information.

Cons

Much of the "likes" are often the "dislikes". The more options you add, the more cumbersome and slow it becomes due to the number of steps/clicks required. We also have a lot of challenges with Salesforce interfacing with other platforms we're utilizing.

Awful. Too complicated, too many steps. None of it makes sense if you want to send emails or even try to manually enter volunteer hours. If you try to dataload the volunteer hours from a volunteer software program it takes forever and impossible to figure out.

Pros

The contact information is great in that it covers everything. Name, address, multiple email addresses, multiple phone numbers, and birthdate. Also lets you know if the person is connected to another group, organization or family member.

Cons

Absolutely horrible tool for volunteer management. Do not use this to track volunteer hours. It doesn't let you record a time in or out. Then it is confusing that you have to pick confirmed or completed. The whole process doesn't make any sense for volunteer management.

I think that we are underutilizing its capacity because we are a small business, and we are not developers. It is powerful, and has lots to offer.

Pros

Cons

Salesforce is not for someone who likes to log in and work. It's a great productivity tool for large business managing employees and many sales leads. For a small business (5 employees) it's a bit bulky and overwhelming.

Pros

I love using the "read receipts" function. This allows me to see if my work clients have received/read specific work documents and agreements. It allows me to keep my finger on the pulse with clients, which I need within my field of video and media production. Being able to schedule mails is great too, as it helps me manage my time, and strategically plan when to engage with certain individuals based on their habits and busy schedules.

Cons

The cost. We have a small business of 9 people. 5 of us have licenses for salesforce and per person it does still seem rather expensive. If we can't get a better rate, we might stop using these services, which will be unfortunate because we sincerely love using salesforce IQ.

My account managing improved with Salesforce, making it easier to track all the different customers and plan better my trips for visits and business meetings. I could also check my tasks and sales performance all within the app which saved time. The only problem really was the heavy loading time.

Pros

It can concentrate a wide range of data, making it easy to keep track of all customers on your account, managing your relations and sales performance, task tracking, objectives, visits planning, leads scouting, sales area mapping, it can do it all!

Cons

The UI could use some improvement, it could be more intuitive and lighter to load, specially when you're on the road with poor internet connection, I had big problems with this taking long to load the app and interface and making me lose a considerable amount of time. This could be easily solved with a offline buffer which lets you use freely and synchronizes when you restablish connection.

My overall experience with Sales Cloud was great. On most days it helped with high volume functionality.

Pros

I really liked the ease of the user interface and the many integrations that were possible. It often helped when other platforms weren't reliable.

Cons

When it would go down for a day or so with glitches. This was not convenient. However, it did make a good habit of notifying when intentional shut-downs were done for maintenance.

We gained the ability to have all of our client account information in one place and not to have to track the information in 3-5 systems.

Pros

I like that it allows you to have all the information in one system. Before we switched we were housing all client account data in one system, tickets in another system, connection/database information in another system, and even then we didn't all have access to everything we needed. With salesforce our CSR's can log cases, make notes, escalate to development, then development can continue working, log technical cases, address issues, release updates, and the account managers and implementation department can access all of the information as they work through their portion of the work. Lots of reporting features, integration, and customization are available as well.

Cons

With such a robust system come difficulty or a feeling of being overwhelmed. This is not so much the fault of the product but it can be a little bit much for users to learn and get through in order to start properly utilizing the software.

Salesforce is pretty good at being a CRM product however the New Lightning version is not and is missing a lot of funtionality.

Pros

I like salesforce as it is pretty much fully customizable and you can make changes to any field on any page.

Cons

It seems to be pretty difficult to integrate our other 3rd party bits of software with salesforce and the UI is now dated.

Salesforce offers a lot of tools to help track interactions with customers across an organization. Having one central database with this information is a huge benefit for organizations to ensure relevant information about interactions are available to all staff.

Cons

Salesforce requires very thorough customization, which usually incurs substantial additional cost to have trained professionals assist with this process. If you have various stakeholders with differing needs of the software, it can be challenging to accommodate everyone's interests and create a solution that works for everyone. Be prepared to spend time figuring out how best to approach customization and exactly what you need the software to do.

### "Swiss Army Knife for CRM"

Centralizing the CRM and support systems. We use to have 2 different systems and this made it easier for the sales team to know of any issues with the client.

Pros

My company has been using the product for over two years and we love it. Being able to customize it to meet each business needs is amazing and has made this product fit our business like a glove. We also like that the reports are fast and you can easily manage users permissions. Salesforce also allows you to use other softwares and they can easily connect in and make data entry faster, depending on the additional software you use.

Cons

Customizing the software was a pro but it can be a con for the employees. If the company heavily modifies the system, then it's like using a new CRM to them. The Salesforce Admin has to let the end users know what has been changed or else you'll get permission denied errors. Permissions are amazing but the wrong Admin can cause you grieve, it's always a good idea to set polices on how you want this setup. Also, the mobile app is horrible. I never use it because it loads slow and a lot of the items are hidden behind uninitiated windows.

### "You can't truly run a large-scale sales department without Salesforce"

Pros

Without Salesforce, tracking leads would be impossible, and tracking the process so those leads can enter into the sales pipeline and be assigned a rep would be even harder. I think it's integral to any sales team, and I love the client notes. It's very customizable as well.

Cons

It's had malfunctions more than once that has led to negative consequences in a big way. The most recent issue we had involved a SF malfunction that didn't correctly track client activity (whether or not they clicked on anything in the last week or so) that led to approximately 300,000 leads falling out of our email pipeline because we thought they were disengaged. It took us months to discover the issue and weeks for Salesforce to resolve it after we did. Additionally, the search functions and the integration of Salesforce with Marketing Cloud both really need further development.

It is hard to edit a response over email. Sometimes there are no email updates on cases which causes delays in response
