We gained the ability to have all of our client account information in one place and not to have to track the information in 3-5 systems.

Pros

I like that it allows you to have all the information in one system. Before we switched we were housing all client account data in one system, tickets in another system, connection/database information in another system, and even then we didn't all have access to everything we needed. With salesforce our CSR's can log cases, make notes, escalate to development, then development can continue working, log technical cases, address issues, release updates, and the account managers and implementation department can access all of the information as they work through their portion of the work. Lots of reporting features, integration, and customization are available as well.

Cons

With such a robust system come difficulty or a feeling of being overwhelmed. This is not so much the fault of the product but it can be a little bit much for users to learn and get through in order to start properly utilizing the software.

### "Salesforce is a pretty good CRM"

Salesforce is pretty good at being a CRM product however the New Lightning version is not and is missing a lot of funtionality.

Pros

I like salesforce as it is pretty much fully customizable and you can make changes to any field on any page.

Cons

It seems to be pretty difficult to integrate our other 3rd party bits of software with salesforce and the UI is now dated.

Pros

Salesforce offers a lot of tools to help track interactions with customers across an organization. Having one central database with this information is a huge benefit for organizations to ensure relevant information about interactions are available to all staff.

Cons

Salesforce requires very thorough customization, which usually incurs substantial additional cost to have trained professionals assist with this process. If you have various stakeholders with differing needs of the software, it can be challenging to accommodate everyone's interests and create a solution that works for everyone. Be prepared to spend time figuring out how best to approach customization and exactly what you need the software to do.

### "Swiss Army Knife for CRM"

Centralizing the CRM and support systems. We use to have 2 different systems and this made it easier for the sales team to know of any issues with the client.

Pros

My company has been using the product for over two years and we love it. Being able to customize it to meet each business needs is amazing and has made this product fit our business like a glove. We also like that the reports are fast and you can easily manage users permissions. Salesforce also allows you to use other softwares and they can easily connect in and make data entry faster, depending on the additional software you use.

Cons

Customizing the software was a pro but it can be a con for the employees. If the company heavily modifies the system, then it's like using a new CRM to them. The Salesforce Admin has to let the end users know what has been changed or else you'll get permission denied errors. Permissions are amazing but the wrong Admin can cause you grieve, it's always a good idea to set polices on how you want this setup. Also, the mobile app is horrible. I never use it because it loads slow and a lot of the items are hidden behind uninitiated windows.

### "You can't truly run a large-scale sales department without Salesforce"

Pros

Without Salesforce, tracking leads would be impossible, and tracking the process so those leads can enter into the sales pipeline and be assigned a rep would be even harder. I think it's integral to any sales team, and I love the client notes. It's very customizable as well.

Cons

It's had malfunctions more than once that has led to negative consequences in a big way. The most recent issue we had involved a SF malfunction that didn't correctly track client activity (whether or not they clicked on anything in the last week or so) that led to approximately 300,000 leads falling out of our email pipeline because we thought they were disengaged. It took us months to discover the issue and weeks for Salesforce to resolve it after we did. Additionally, the search functions and the integration of Salesforce with Marketing Cloud both really need further development.

It is easy to access and list out all our relevant issues. It is easy to respond over email to issues that are open at the moment

Cons

It is hard to edit a response over email. Sometimes there are no email updates on cases which causes delays in response

### "Salesforce is not the best use of your sales team's time unless you have all of the features"

In my role I did not see a single benefit. Salesforce cut into my selling time more than any other task indicated in my job description and was not nearly dynamic or accessible enough for outside sales. If you are shopping for a CRM, I suggest talking directly to your sales TEAM (not management) to determine their needs and ideas for using this to get revenue. This tool can generate a lot of revenue if used properly.

Pros

Salesforce gave me a convenient way to store contact info and see call history notes, but I can do that for free with Excel. At the end of the day, spending time filling in this info doesn't ultimately generate revenue though.

Cons

Salesforce can be a great tool, but it is a pricey one. Most companies choose basic options and do not have it set up in a way that fosters revenue generation.

My overall experience has been pretty great. I have used the software for about 8 months and I will admit it took about 4 months to really get it. For a bigger company its a great idea,for a smaller company its questionable. Take my word its an awesome software givin the patience, time,and willingness to learn

Extremely customizable with such wide options on integrations , and allows you to create very detailed reports to track your own activit y and history. Its just so customizable so its an amazing platform

Cons

Due to such a high functionality and huge selection of options,it a better extremely overbearing to use sometimes. Visually its not the most appealing.

Pros

Salesforce promotes they can grow sales by xx% buy using it for your sales CRM. They are not lying. I used Salesforce in a software sales company. Upon starting a new job at a new software company, they were using a competitor product. It does not hold water to Salesforce. Salesforce was developed by and for sales divisions. Lead creation and management, account management, Opportunity management and sales are all tied together in a meaningful and productive process flow. There are so many area that benefit the sales cycle and process, I don't have enough space to mention them all. Trust me when I say Salesforce is the leader in Sales CRM software for a reason.

Cons

Nothing to ad here. it is a great system.

Cons

Salesforce is really flexible in how you can use Sales Cloud. We have a unique B2B relationship with our accounts and we are able to customize Sales Cloud to be able to use manage and create contracts. Our onboarding experience has been drastically improved by having a CRM linked to our service platform.

Cons

The price point for Salesforce is a little high for us being a small company.

Pros

is a good system for use within our sales department. I have used the system for around 2 years. There is general good feedback from all of the users. It helps clearly to see all sales opportunities, The dashboard is one of the best features will enables you to build and see real time analytics. The reports are very useful for reporting to management with little input required once built. The customer service at Salesforce is always good across all product support.

Cons

The building of customized reports and features initially is not easy. Salesforce generate very expensive quotes if you would like them to do this for you.

Pros

It has many features and capabilities. Can be used by smaller businesses as a basic CRM tool, but also has many advanced features that can be taken advantage of by larger corporations.

Cons

While powerful, Salesforce is so bloated and complicated, that to really take advantage of all its features, you basically need to have the expertise of a software developer. Even generating sales reports takes a while to figure out how to do. It also takes a lot of time and effort to make sure all data is entered correctly and consistently, especially if you have 10+ users all entering information. Anybody who just needs to keep track of leads and customers would probably be better off with a cheaper CRM alternative.

My overall experience with Salesforce is great! I love their style with the animated characters and I wish we could see more of them in the actual interface because they're so cute, but Salesforce is a great tool that I highly recommend because of how easily it streamlines all your customer relationship management activities as a salesperson or any sort of outreach representative!

Pros

I love that you can easily keep track of all your customers, client, and events on this tool! It's so well laid out and easy to document every piece of information that you could imagine - one really helpful feature is the "recents" because I always thinks of additional things to add once I've clicked out.

Cons

My least favorite thing about Salesforce is that the font can be a bit small for my already strained eyes

It had an insane amount of features and when the server was good it was fast

Cons

If the company did not invest in setting up a good sales workflow, you don't get the max out of your staff. It is utility GUI and ugly to stare at 40 hours a week. Too many clicks to do simple things. Managers worried more about dashboard reporting than you actually doing the work.

Salesforce has had a great customer service experience. We have been pleased. It has been difficult to integrate with our system through Farmers. But it was a beta roll out this year. I hope it gets smoother.

Pros

Insurance is a different industry for salesforce. It's a good CRM and lead pipeline tool but it does come with it's quirks because of our industry. I don't have many issues with the product thought.

Cons

I don't like the fact that it isn't intuitive you waste time cold calling instead of closing warm leads based on AI.

Pros

I enjoy that its features work for both our program and development departments without having to get two different data systems.

Cons

Wish the training was better and more easily friendly to someone who is not very tech savvy but needs to understand how to use the system and run reports.

Once I start using sales force was hard but once you find all the option salesforce provide you is easy to track all the information send or shared with the customer; in case a partner need to check that they will be able to see your activities and that avoid duplicate information.

Pros

Is a complete tool that help you with many activities on the daily job. On the customer and sales side is super easy to use, you can share information with other departments and is easy to find it. You can have many charts and reports that help you to evaluate and do your daily job on a easier way.

Cons

The reporting task is a little difficult due you need to add specific filters to download the correct information but once you star using it is easier.

Salesforce works well for us, but I'm sure there are more suitable cost-effective solutions out there for a small company like ours. But it interfaces with most other systems if that is needed, and there's a lot of online support resources available. They are experts at pricing though, so you will end up paying more at some point because a desired feature is locked behind a higher license tier.

Pros

The lightning interface is easy to use and has a newer feel than the old one. Fairly easy to set up, and the Outlook interface is good. Easily hooked up to marketing automation tool.

Cons

There are a lot of settings available. Not as bad as some, but you easily run into issues that is only solved by digging into deep settings that feels unecessary complicated for us as a small company with about 5 users.

It is easy to setup, no to less upfront setup costs, one can use the software out of the box with little to no customization, vast reesouces to learn pick up the pace, in app gudences for new users. Everything.

Cons

Nothing to dislike, they opened the gates to customize the software as much as we like, with easy to learn development languages. Their support will take time as it has huge customer base
