I like how technically advanced Salesforce is. Salesforce is the most superior CRM on the market, but it is incredibly technical, difficult to use, and very expensive to maintain with the cost of subscription and developers. I'd only recommend Salesforce to large enterprise organizations who are past 8 figures annually who are ready to take on the technical burden and have an experienced SFDC Admin in house.

Pros

Cost, difficulty to use, slow, complex, too much.

It has two really helpful features That I like the Most Lead and Opportunity Management: This makes it simple for sales teams to keep track of leads, opportunities, and accounts, so they can focus on the best prospects.Collaboration: Salesforce provides a place where sales teams can work together, share information, and stay up to date on customer interactions.

My overall experience has been pretty good. No real problems to speak of. I would recommend using Salesforce to keep track of your contacts and sales pipeline.

Pros

Easy to use. Great reminder dashboard. Sr. Management can easily see your daily activity so you do not have to provide with self made hit lists. They know who you are talking to and who you are not.

Cons

Exporting your calendar should be easier. For our company we are required to use a 3rd party to sync to our personal calendars.

Pros

I always say that Salesforce is the gift that keeps on giving, because almost any application/feature/add-on that you can think of can be integrated with it to accommodate any and all of your business needs. The customization is limitless.

Cons

The technical components can be deep but Salesforce has great tech and administrative teams and individuals that will work with you to optimize it.

Salesforce has helped us learn about leads, their interactions with our content, and our follow-up duties, and there's no longer a need to allocate team members to follow up on it all, as it's all automated. With Salesforce, we have all the information in one place, and we can make healthy decisions based on real data.

Pros

Salesforce is very user-friendly. Everything I need to know about my business can be found here. I appreciate that our reports and dashboards can be tailored to our specific needs. Salesforce is capable of a wide range of tasks. There's a good chance that Salesforce is the best CRM in the world. In order to make better business decisions, you can use the system's data to create practically any sales procedure you want.

Cons

There are no drawbacks worth mentioning, I think that the response time should be improved when performing data formatting operations, as I find it rather slow, and it is necessary to expand the integration with other applications to be able to export data to them, so that we do not repeat the work more than once.

We have been trialling the system for 4 months now and find more and more bugs. For a system that has been on offer by Salesforce for more than 10 years, this is just pathetic. We are still wrapping our head around the fact that the marketing cloud is just a very mediocre and super expensive product. With training available only if you scream for it. We ask again and again for an increase in entitlement usages, it has been months and as a multinational company have more than one workspace, for instance for our podcast, and we simply can't connect them as it is 4 entitlements across the whole system. This is not what was sold to us, and to be quite frank many free social publishing services have allowances up to 20 connected accounts.

Pros

I like that it integrates well with the overall Salesforce CRM

Cons

We are a SME and are implementing Salesforce through all aspects of core business, it is a big investment in the future of our business. We would have thought that if an issue arrives that Salesforce as the global leaders in CRM would have the mechanisms to be looked after instead of pretending to not hear us (we spend a lot of time with calls, emails, and follow up calls and emails). The account managers are great people but lack the capacity to escalate things swiftly with management for a response, and it seems aren’t properly trained in the offering of Marketing Cloud. It feels as though our case gets lost in a big company with a disconnected hierarchy similar to governmental departments in the ’80’s.

Salesforce is good at several things, it actually has more functions that I use. My main likes are the CRM capabilities of it and helping with my sales pipeline.

It has an excessive amount of features that I just don't use.

Completely transformed my career. I was an accidental admin for a manufacturing company. Learned Salesforce and got certified using free or low cost resources and became a consultant. Now a Sr. Business Analyst.

Pros

Salesforce can be adapted to any business process. Extremely customizable. Lots of resources available to learn the system - many of them free. If you want to learn it, your level of effort is your only obstacle.

Cons

It is pricey and users that think that they will just install it and transform their business are mistaken. For most businesses, implementing Salesforce is a huge process change and requires management backing to make it stick. If Management isn't committed to championing the system, taking the time to be sure that it is optimized for your business processes and making sure that everyone actually uses it after launch, don't waste your money.

I love the product. Customer service and sales reps are awesome. They even tried to customize a product to help our companies efficiency. Top notch company. One day, hope they invite me to see their tower in San Francisco!

Pros

Helps me keep in contact with clients and remain a consistent relationship. Plus helps my colleagues know where I’m at with clients in case I’m on leave or vacation. Great tool!

Cons

Unfortunately sometimes it’s double work. Have to input info into SalesForce but also explain to colleagues

Salesforce allows me to assign my teams different leads based on website impressions and customer activity. Great for customer retention and determining if a lead is hot or cold. We use this on a daily basis to track customer behaviors based on website impressions and activities.

Cons

I believe a click to call feature may already be integrated, but having a scheduled alert feature that automatically prompts you to call at given times, would be helpful.

Lead Tracking and Marketing Campaign Results! Great way for Marketing and Sales teams to work together to close deals and report on wins!

Pros

Salesforce is an industry standard and must have for most medium to enterprise companies. As a Field Marketing Manager I use Salesforce to track Marketing Qualified Leads and ensure the Sales Team is following up with the leads my marketing campaigns and events produce. I have used multiple marketing tools that integrate into Salesforce and the installation was fairly straight forward. I would not say I am power user of Salesforce but I know the basics. You will need a salesforce consultant or a developer to help with your organization with custom dashboards, report building and the initial setup - which can be very expensive depending on how much customization you require. Salesforce can be a great tool for businesses if you make sure all the data is clean and consistent. Make data fields mandatory for your Sales Team!

Cons

It can be complicated to learn and understand the functionality. You will need someone who knows what they are doing if you want customization. The licensing model can be expensive depending on how many seats you have. Also the Inside Sales Reps are relentless and constantly calling to try to sale you on Pardot (Marketing automation Salesforce acquired). So get ready for lots of sales calls for upgrades!

Prior this date, I was using the tool occasionally to check some data entered by our account management team, however we are moving now to use it on a daily basis for billing and collections purposes.So far, I see that we can have all necessary data that drives our work easy on a daily basis.

Pros

Salesforce allows your team to do anything. Yup, anything. The Sales Cloud is a fully customizable platform that lets you manage your business day the way you want to. All you need is a good admin!

Cons

Salesforce has a tendency to ignore feature requests-- many of which are over a decade old + appear to have relatively quick fixes.

Use in my daily business life from years now. Some time to get use to it as it is a complex tool and you need a quite long learning curve to get use to it but at the end it's worth it...

Pros

Easy way to follow pipeline, keep contact with the customer, follow up new sales lead, manage forecast and budget

Cons

Too many field that are not use and pollute somewhere the general view. When you get use to it and you know where to find the information it is ok but can be a little bit overwhelming and rejected by new users.

Pros

The world really is your oyster with Salesforce. You can get started on your own but the universe of support to really make it work for your business is endless. The integrations with third-party apps like quickbooks has helped to scale our business. It is an investment but it has helped us add new territory smoothly and will be iterated on and used for the foreseeable future.

Cons

With a tool this deep, the process of getting started is the most daunting. You have a few options while getting started. 1) Go barebones, which is cheeper and easier but means that you will be making constant edits (many of them likely needing professional help to build) or; 2) Try and forecast the custom features you will need. It's also quite expensive to get help on making custom features but that is to be expected.

Salesforce allows the specialists at the call center I work for to pull up customer accounts easily and efficiently, file claims for customers, and notate customer details. I was trained on how to use Salesforce in approximately a three week time frame. As someone with no prior technical experience, I found it easy to grasp and understand to the point where I am now considered a subject matter expert in how to use Salesforce at my job. My company has switched over from Console View (Classic) to Salesforce Lightning, but I prefer Classic view to Lightning because I find Lightning to be laggy.

Pros

Salesforce's functionality is very flexible. As someone in my company with the authority to do administrative functions, the functions that Salesforce allows me to do helps me take care of my customers independently. I rarely need to escalate issues to other parties as I typically have the capability to take care of what is needed within Salesforce. It is also easy to understand and train; many of the people at the call center I work for have never used Salesforce before but are able to quickly pick up on how to use it.

Cons

What I like least about Salesforce is how the system crashes whenever a system update is released. Whenever a System Update is released, the system usually goes down for about two hours, which is very inconvenient and hinders productivity. It would be nice if they could find a way to keep systems running while also rolling out updates consistently.

This is my CRM tool of preference. I know of no better way to keep track of clients, or to develop qualified leads.

Pros

The suite of CRM features are easily located on a well organized dashboard. Contact and account information can be updated in real time. Emails and calls are easily tracked.

Cons

The flexibility of Salesforce and its variety of features can produce a steep learning curve for persons without a lot of CRM system experience. With adequate training, the complexity becomes more deeply appreciated.

Contratei a Salesforce em 2021 para fazer uma gestão completa da base de clientes, aumentar a retenção e o faturamento, e trazer mais insights ao meu negócio. Como é uma empresa renomada e muito bem conhecida, achamos que não teríamos problema em arcar com o alto custo, já que traria retorno sobre o investimento. No entanto, já na parte inicial do projeto, tivemos problemas com a implantação (que demorou muito mais que o previsto) e com integrações que não funcionaram como deveria. No final, tivemos que incluir dados manualmente para conseguir utilizar. Mesmo explicando a situação para a equipe de atendimento, não deram solução e nem abriram oportunidade para negociação de prazo ou valor. Tentamos usar por mais um tempo, mas sem sucesso. Estou tentando cancelar o contrato, já que a ferramenta não está nos trazendo retorno e estamos em um período de redução de custos na empresa, mas não só a Salesforce nega nosso pedido, como está nos ameaçando passar para uma agência terceirizada que vai afetar negativamente no nosso score de crédito. É surpreendente que ainda existem empresas que forçam os clientes a continuar pagando por um serviço/ferramenta que não quer e não está utilizando.

Pros

Capacidade de personalização e criação de novos campos.

Cons

Sistema extremamente caro que exige contratação de terceiros para funcionar, não é intuitivo, o time de atendimento da Salesforce não oferece qualquer suporte e negociação é inexistente.
