### "I don't know how you run a business without it."

Pros

I honestly don't understand how you run a business without a robust CRM tool. Of course there are other options, but Salesforce.com always seems like the clear winner to me because of the apps and community that has been built around the platform. The integrations make it really easy to run various types of programs and automate a lot of tasks.

Cons

Leads and contacts gets me everytime. But this really goes back to the way various objects relate to each other, and how that puts limits on what you're able to do. I have never worked somewhere where the lead > contact conversion mattered. Instead, my sales teams would almost always prefer to see people under the account so they can quickly see the history, identify other people in the organization they should be talking to, etc. But even custom objects can be annoying because of the lack of relationships to other objects. This really goes back to reporting limitations. The other issue is there's so many things you can do (which is good) but it makes compliance difficult. Your main users are sales and client services, but their management of activities in SFDC can eat up a lot of their day depending on how you implement and the rules you set up (so that you can get the reports you need). Ultimately I see SFDC as a tool for accountability and sales management/executive reporting. Depending on the business, an individual rep doesn't necessarily have a need for SFDC but the organization definitely does.

### "Great tool for Sales and Marketing"

Right now I am doing Email marketing so when a sales person does not know what offer has been sent to a customer via email we can easily find the person in Salesforce and know all the interactions we had so far with the customer. When was the person called, what we sent to the customer etc.

Pros

I work in Marketing and very close with the Sales team. The best thing for us is that Salesforce shows you everything related to a lead: personal data, emails that we have been sent, calls or even chats with the lead. So that we know in which stage our lead is and what to do next.

Cons

So far this tool has been only positive, but maybe the search bar could work with different information like for instance by looking for a telephone number.

It is a strong program

Pros

I find it a good program to use in having a large number of people making payments to their league fees. It's a nice use to paperless options. We can have multiple people in the office use the software and it's easy to see what other staff have completed or done with accounts.

Cons

When some of the groups have similar names it can be hard to distinguish between the teams to ensure payments are credited to the correct account. But it was easy for us to find a solution to that among ourselves.

Easy to edit the available items for use for my company. Fields are easily edited. Great ability to produce reports and integrates well with other software. With some training, anyone can use this product.

Pros

It is a very complete and user friendly application. Changes can be made without coding and using a standard configuration. Very flexible software.

Cons

When something does need to be changed for you, the costs are expansive. Can be an overwhelming system for those that are not technically savvy. Will require training for your staff to get used to.

Salesforce helps our business track and process the leads that are coming in from our Marketing team. It's easy to use and it's really helpful because we can create and use multiple campaigns and it has some features that makes our lives easier, like sending emails to the clients directly from the Salesforce platform. I'll give it a score of 8 out of 10 because it could use some tweaks and because it has some workflow errors that are difficult to resolve sometimes.

Pros

I like the user interface and how easy it is to use and it has a lot of application development options that come in handy which are easy to modify for your personal needs.

Cons

I didn't like the fact that it has some errors to the workflow and I have to manually do some tasks that are usually automated.

Overall, if your company/department has the need for it and the money to invest in it, I would recommend it.

Pros

When I think of CRM, I think of Salesforce. It's easily the most popular one for good reasons. I started using it almost 10 years ago. It has changed a lot during that time, and is much easier to use.

Cons

Back when I used it, not being able to move or do multiple things at a time was a headache. But it seems with the upgrades that have changed. Also, sometimes the reports don't come through the way you would like them to.

This set a way to organize our customer data base. We got better insights on our customers and hence picture of our success in businesses was clear with it. We handled our business data very well with it and mapped to needed outputs.

Pros

There are many reasons why Salesforce CRM is known as the best CRM. This is the most robust CRM on the market with very active community. We have many third party integrations available. You are about 100% guaranteed to be able to integrate salesforce with almost every other marketing and sales tool on the market.

Cons

We can see some more features and also sometimes sales process can sometimes be too complicated to the point where it slows down the sales team from doing their job.

Pros

Helped us build a sales process. The CRM offers fantastic features that can be adjusted to any business model and product. Great way to document sales activities and analyze data. Would no want to miss Salesforce in this organisation

Cons

Sometimes a bit slow or laggy. Set up process took quite a while with a team of 5 (but of course things had to be tailored to our bussiness)

Tracking client's issues and being able to have a record of those interactions is extremely beneficial to us. Also having plugins & integrations with Atlassian products and Gainsight is a huge help to us.

Pros

Salesforce is ubiquitous and can be used across our multiple teams within our organization. The plugins and ability to work with multiple other platforms is a huge benefit in that we use Salesforce as a central hub for tracking, communicating, and supporting our clients.

Cons

The software is clunky and not intuitive. We have to spend a day training new employees on how to use and navigate the Salesforce ecosystem. When we hit a roadblock their support system is also cumbersome, the first line support is typically over their head with technical requests (which happens to be 90% of our issues). And the software is expensive, we are not a large company and having to spend 6 figures a year for a CRM solution hurts the bottom line.

Cons

I really did not like the difficulty it was for me to fully understand how to initially use the site. I felt like as I started to use this software I was not fully knowing of its capabilities.

Sales Force is really best cloud platform for our organization and we are using sales force for multiple purpose it is very easy to use, easy to manage and user management is very advance and amazing, we are using sales force for our workflows , for finance, sales, marketing, integration is very easy with any other software

For new joiner it will be very expensive because sales force certification is very much expensive

Pros

Once mastered you can pull any report needed. Nicely shows forecasts and new leads.

Cons

Great Software but you need a lot of training. the process of creating reports is not easy for many to learn and is unique to this platform making it a longer onboarding and learning process for new employees. Cannot pull reports into PDF's for use in presenting all presentations must be in salesforce.

Pros

SalesForce is the King of the Hill when it comes to a CRM tool. If you are looking a high value tool that provides every thing you need, then SalesForce is the tool for you.

Cons

Price, Price, Price. SalesForce while the best tool in the market for CRM, it does come with a hefty price tag if you want it with all of the good stuff. Pared down versions are available, but you loose out on benefits.

It's not may favorite product. I think our Admissions team likes it better than enrollment management.

Pros

It's easy to ask someone else to follow up on something, which is helpful. i also like that we can all see the same information.

Cons

A few things: Sometimes our applications can't be opened, so that's really annoying. Also, it looks really outdated and it's hard to find important information on each page. I wish it were either more streamlined or we could customize it better for our needs.

Salesforce was used in many big companies I worked with. It allows so much overview for sales managers, their superiors. You can check all tiny details and statistics for every process in sales.

Pros

It allows overview of all possible processes in sales. From inventory, margins, customer visits, details, mailing them, recording call logs, quoting, etc. If something is missing (which is unlikely) support is of help and can create whatever you might need in CRM.

Cons

It can be too complex for beginners. Also, it has a hefty price tag.

### "Not the right for a small team in a small business."

We re-purchased both Salesforce and Data Clean after 4 or 5 years of going without it. Understandably, prices had increased since we last used it so in order to be at the price point we needed, we had to lock into a 3 year contract. This was a mistake on our part. Having one full time sales/marketing person and 3 owners that function as account managers, there was just no need for the tool. There are plenty of features to utilize, but none of which were beneficial in our day to day operations. Integrating Salesforce with any of our other tools was a nightmare. Nothing every synced properly and both their forum and customer support were completely unhelpful.

Pros

For a larger team that needs detailed reports pulled consistently, I could see how it would be really beneficial. The tool is super robust and has an overwhelming amount of features. A company with large amounts of data being input daily, would definitely benefit from it.

Cons

For a small organization, there just wasn't a need for it. We could never figure out how to use the tool to best suit our needs even after information sessions and training videos. In our eyes, the tool was a giant web that required some serious sifting to even accomplish the simplest of tasks. When confronted with issues, it was frustrating to not receive any help from an disinterested customer service rep.

Overall it's been truly great for our company.

Pros

Salesforce value truly comes from their customer support team and the issues that the software solves. We run a graphic design company building websites and promotional ads. We use salesforce on the backend for customers to open tickets whenever they have issues or need updates. It's been our most helpful tool by far.

Cons

So far nothing - the customer support is truly great and it serves its purpose. A bit of a long onboarding time but other than that it's been great.

Cons

There are times when the automation fails and gives back inaccurate data. We have to trouble shoot almost weekly to figure out what happened.

Stomach ulcers??!! No really, no benefit, only troubles

Pros

There are not many things to like about salesforce, they get you in to their tool with amazing marketing, once you start to dig in it gets very bad and then its really hard to move...

Cons

Basically everything, very low storage, very very bad mismatched tools, very very very bad service. The worse tool we have ever used in our teams but we have no choice but to stick with it as we have already invested too much....some day we will find a way to move...hopefully

Frustrating customer service. I used it for basic CRM situations as I would have needed a full transformation with a Salesforce Consultant Co., to use its full services. It does not play well with small companies.

Pros

I liked its ability to be personally configured and its integration with other vendors. The App was also competitive with its peers.

Cons

Over seas customer service and could take a day or two to get assistance. Communication issues with those over seas. My Pros could also be a Con for me, as there was too much tailoring needed with this product and I could not do it myself. I would have to pay thousands of dollars to have it personally configured. It is not an out of the box product with an intuitive platform. I believe it is for larger companies.

Reason for choosing Salesforce Sales Cloud

At the time, over five years ago, I felt wealth box was too new but now, it is my CRM. Redtail was great in almost every way but cannot be configured at all.
