Pros Ease of use and support - when we first selected Absorb as our new LMS my onboarding as a brand new LMS Administrator was smooth and efficient. Our support from Absorb was fantastic - the team also readily available and, as well, easy to work with. I was not a seasoned professional and even stepped away from LMS admin duty for a couple years, but now my role has transitioned and I am the main admin for my organization. Using Absorb makes employees and volunteer training smooth as Absorb is integrated with both our staff and volunteer management programs. My goal is to become a "super" admin and utilize features that we have access to but have not implemented, like new content creation with Create. Cons Any cons I have experienced in the past are no longer relevant and currently, the only con is on my end - not having enough time to use Absorb to its full capability. Everyone is knowledgeable and responsive, the online support resources are easy to access and consistently helpful, and Absorb Academy provides excellent training that equips administrators with the skills and confidence needed to effectively manage and maximize the platform. Pros What I like best about Absorb LMS is its intuitive user experience and powerful AI-driven course creation tools, which make it easy to quickly build engaging, professional learning content while reducing development time. Cons I haven't found anything that I don't like yet! The system is intuitive and easy to administer with lots of option to create the best approach for our Risk Pool members. I joined the project late and did not get in on any formal training. The AI based support channel is fantastic. As well, Claire's meetings were great and she was always willing to 'jump on a call'. The migration process was at times difficult due mostly to the difference in nomenclature between the old system and Absorb. I felt confused at times due to the details being explained where not sufficiently explained based on the required data. I think there was not enough time spent by the migration lead to understand how previous processes were done and then relating to the Absorb system. Pros The user interface is very clean and functional. From admin side is easily configured. Customer support using the AI tool is amazing! User management is really easy and the notification process very effective, saving admin time. Cons There are different parts of the overall admin process that are less logical than expected. Finding various functions and settings is not overly intuitive but with the aid of support tools can be derived. Not nearly enough functionality. I should be able to at least upload existing files without distortion. Every step costs me extra time. This program will not do what I need it to do, unlike advertised. Pros Easy to use and intuitive menus. Keeping trainings organized and assigning them is a breeze. Our staff can now complete most trainings on a tablet. Attendance is also automatically tracked. Cons Doesn't work well with video PowerPoints or imported PPT's. All of my photos turned sideways and distorted. Also, all videos are removed and unplayable when uploaded as part of an existing PPT. The only option for me is to recreate all of my existing work inside Absorb, costing me hundreds of hours for my whole library. Cons Directions are hard to find on some items through the AI options and material provided. But our rep is always willing to help when we can't find that info. Pros Ease of use for the learners and for administrators, while not sacrificing advanced features. Ability to use API/SSO. Cons With it being a large organization there are a lot of feature requests, so if you need a new feature it may take a while for it to be implemented, if it's approved. They do well with making sure requests align with their strategy, but their is a downside to that for the user. Pros The Absorb Create tool allows you to customize training content in an engaging manner while not having to spend days upon days to create a ten-minute course. Their existing courses take the guesswork out of foundations for the whole organization, leaving the customization levels up to you. Cons I think getting a better understanding of what is an added on cost in the pre-sales process would be better. Overall, all aspects of sales and implementation were excellent, but it was so much information that I didn't really get granular with what was included in the base bucket cost versus what was an additional cost. It took us nearly a year to get things fully configured but we were assitted greatly by the Absorb on-boarding and support team. They also helped us with the integration of the Absorb system into our own proprietary software. Pros Absorb is a very rich software system that allows for multiple configurations. Courses are easy to setup and administer. For us, however, we were able to separate our global network of trainers into each one’s separate ’department’ which allows them to administer their own courses and registrations in their own account. This makes for effective course delivery and reporting. Cons What we liked least is actually Absorb’s strength - there are so many ways to configure courses and curriculum that sometimes it gets a little confusing. Review Source CG Clark G.
