We needed a single platform that could serve multiple clients under their own self-contained experience, while still giving us central oversight, and Absorb's multitenancy solves that completely. It's also solved the problem of customer self-sufficiency - our clients can manage their own users and courses and pull their own reports instead of coming to us for everything - and the reporting gives us visibility we didn't have before, both proactively during onboarding and reactively when a customer needs extra support. The sales and onboarding process was faultless from start to finish, and the combination of interactive course creation, gamification, learning paths, and automation has let us build a much stronger learning offering for our customers than we could before.

Pros

Multitenancy was essential for us - we needed separate branches so each of our clients gets their own experience while we manage everything centrally, and Absorb handles this really well. Just as important, our customers can administer their own users, assign courses, and run their own reports, which takes a huge amount of admin off our plate. Reporting in particular has been a standout. Our customers can see exactly what their users are and aren't doing in the system, and on our side we can monitor engagement both during onboarding and once customers are live - invaluable when a customer seems to be struggling and we need to check whether their people are actually engaging with the learning. On the course-building side, Absorb lets us create genuinely interactive courses rather than passive "click next" content, with quizzes to test knowledge retention. We've also brought in gamification through certificates and badges, and built proper learning paths/journeys rather than one-off courses. Automation has been a big win too - automated emails, automated reporting, and the ability to build our own custom reports without relying on Absorb support. The API integration with our own customer database has made onboarding new clients much smoother. I've now created a number of courses myself and found it genuinely easy to do. I've used the AI features for generating quiz questions so far, which has saved me time, and I'm planning to use the AI course builder for some soft skills courses soon - everything I've built so far has been technical content. Pricing is also very competitive given the breadth of features on offer, and speed/reliability haven't been an issue at all - no downtime or performance problems across any of our client branches, even during busier onboarding periods.

Cons

Honestly, we've struggled to find anything major to fault. If anything, the platform is so feature-rich that there's a bit of a learning curve at first while you explore everything it can do

Absorb has done what we need it to do. It gives us one place to run leadership development, onboarding, compliance, and instructor-led training across our large distributed organization, and it produces the records we need without manual reconciliation. The automation is what makes it sustainable. We are a small central team that can support thousands of employees because enrollment happens by rule rather than by hand. But the honest answer about our overall experience is that the people are what set it apart. \[sensitive content hidden\], our account manager, and \[sensitive content hidden\] our client success manager have both been genuine partners rather than points of contact. They learned how our business actually runs instead of walking us through a generic feature tour, and they point us toward what will solve a real problem for us rather than whatever is newest. When we hit something, we get a fast answer and a straight one, including when the answer is that something is not possible today. That honesty has saved us more time than any workaround would have. No platform is perfect, and there are things I would like to see improved. What makes that manageable is knowing the people on the other end are invested in getting us where we need to go. That relationship is the single biggest reason we expect to stay with Absorb for the foreseeable future.

Pros

Absorb holds up for a workforce that is not sitting at a desk. Most of our people are frontline, spread across the country, and getting to training before and after shifts. Absorb handles that without us having to build workarounds. The admin side is the other piece. Enrollment rules and automations mean we are not hand-assigning courses every time someone is hired or promoted, and the reporting gets us what we need for compliance without exporting everything into a spreadsheet first. The client success support has been a real differentiator too. Our CSM knows our business and flags things before we ask.

Cons

If I could change one thing, it would be a simplified administrative experience. The power is there, but common tasks take more clicks than they should and the menus take a while to learn. Once an admin is fluent it moves quickly, so it's really a matter of the front end of that curve being steeper than necessary.

Switched from

[BrainStorm](https://www.capterra.com/p/205039/BrainStorm-QuickHelp/)

We switched to Absorb because we needed a real LMS. What we had before was built for a narrower job, and our training had outgrown it. We are running leadership development programs, onboarding, compliance courses, and instructor-led sessions across a large distributed workforce, and we needed one platform that could host all of it, assign it by rule rather than by hand, and give us completion records we could stand behind when someone asked for them. Absorb was the first option that felt built for the way we actually operate. Our people are largely frontline and spread across the country, so training has to reach them on a phone, not just a desktop, and it has to be the same training regardless of which market they work in. Absorb handles that without a heavy IT project to get it standing. The people were part of the decision too. The Absorb team took time to understand our business rather than run a standard demo, and they were straight with us about what the platform did well and where it had limits. That candor told us what the working relationship would be, and it has held up. Our Client Success Manager has been a genuine partner rather than a point of contact, and the culture on their side has been a real match for ours. When you are choosing a system you will live with for years, that matters as much as the feature list.

I've been working on and with LMSs for 20 years as a user and even a product manager of an LMS. Absorb has exceeded all others that I've worked with in ease of use and customer support. Not every LMS can be everything to everyone and we've been disappointed that some features we've taken for granted weren't available, but for the money, we've found Absorb to be an excellent partner.

Pros

The customer support and especially our CSM have been incredibly helpful and supportive during our onboarding and ongoing. We're nine months in and they're still there for us all the time. I also love the admin user interface. LMS admin UIs can be overwhelming but Absorb does a good job of showing just what you need and making it so you don't have to fill in multiple pages to get a course launched. We've also found it to be a good value - lots of features, lots of training and support for the money. Happily, we've run into very few bugs and uptime has been excellent.

Cons

Absorb seems to be focused on employee training while we're a professional society. Therefore, the LMS is missing some features that we would like. Handling multiple certificates, e.g. CME for surgeons and nurses, is difficult requiring us to make separate courses for each professional group. Absorb has a robust ideas portal where users can make suggestions for features and they release new features constantly though.

What I love about Absorb the most is its people, from the sales rep to the onboarding PM to the support team, everyone is working hard to ensure their client have great experience using the system

Pros

Easy to onboard, full functionality for most of my L&D needs, customisable user interface, great support team, AI generation of content

Cons

Nothing major really. Just a thought, with dominance of AI tools and vibe coding, companies may rely less and less on an LMS in the future. What can Absorb do?

Prior to implementing Absorb, my organization was using a different LMS. That LMS was not user friendly, had minimal reporting ability, and created very clunky courses. Since we adopted Absorb and its Create course-authoring tool, we have seen a dramatic change in the quality of our online courses. Courses are far more engaging, filled with more variety of learning activities, and easier to report one. Learners and admins alike also find Absorb significantly easier to navigate than our prior LMS. Additionally, Absorb can integrate with our Active Directory, so new employees and employee changes come directly into the LMS without any manual adjustments. The automatic course enrollments are very helpful, too. I never have to create a new hires' account or manually enroll them in new hire training.

Pros

Absorb provides outstanding customer service. Every time I have a question about a use case, my CSM is available and provides answers quickly. I also really love the Ideas Portal, where admins can post new ideas to improve their experience and also review and vote on ideas submitted by others. Absorb actively reviews these ideas and implements them when they receive enough votes. I always feel like the customers' voices are heard.

Cons

There are some features that I wish were included with the Core LMS experience instead of being add-ons for an additional charge. For example, there are a lot of reports you can run without paying for the Analyze reporting add-on, but to gather all the data I need about courses and quizzes and learner performance, I sometimes have to run about a dozen different reports. This means I am reviewing a dozen different spreadsheets and trying to manually merge them into one report to get the data I need.

Overall, my experience with Absorb LMS has been very positive. When we first implemented the platform, we encountered several challenges and limitations where the system didn't always work the way we needed it to. However, our Client Manager worked closely with us every step of the way, helping us find practical workarounds, providing solutions, and keeping us informed about new features and updates that addressed many of our concerns. He also helped us gain access to the reporting capabilities we needed, which has made a significant difference to how we manage and communicate training outcomes. As the platform has continued to evolve, many of our initial challenges have been resolved, and we're now extremely happy with Absorb LMS. The few improvements I'd still like to see, such as more flexibility with filters and dashboard customization, would simply enhance an already strong platform rather than address major issues. The only other consideration is cost. Management has noted that the platform is on the more expensive side and there are several additional fees for features and services that can increase the overall cost. While they're comfortable with the pricing at present, there is some concern about potential price increases in the future and how that may affect long-term affordability.

Pros

I like the clean interface and navigation of Absorb LMS. It makes it easy for our technicians, many of whom aren't tech savvy, to find their training and enrol in courses. Over the years, the platform has continued to improve with regular updates and new features. The reporting capabilities are one of its biggest strengths, providing valuable data that supports our internal reporting processes and helps us communicate training outcomes and requirements across our dealer network.

Cons

I'd like to see more flexibility within the platform, particularly around settings, filters, and dashboard customisation. Some reporting widgets can't be broken down into more detailed information, and there are times when the backend logic is a bit confusing. While workarounds usually exist, greater flexibility would make reporting and administration more efficient.

Overall, Absorb LMS has been a positive experience. The platform is reliable, user-friendly, and well-suited for organizations managing compliance and employee development. It offers a good balance of functionality and ease of use, making it an effective solution for delivering and tracking training across multiple locations.

Absorb LMS has an intuitive interface for both administrators and learners. Course creation, reporting, and user management are straightforward, and the platform offers robust automation, learning paths, and customizable branding. The reporting capabilities provide valuable insight into training completion and compliance.

Cons

Some administrative tasks require more clicks than expected, and deeper customization can have a learning curve.

Overall, my experience with Absorb LMS has been very positive. As a system administrator, the platform has allowed me to efficiently manage learning and development across a large workforce while maintaining compliance with mandatory training requirements. I find the system intuitive to use, and the administrative tools make it easy to manage learners, create and assign courses

Pros

As a system administrator, I can efficiently create and assign courses, manage users, generate reports, and monitor training compliance from a single platform. I also appreciate the flexibility of the reporting tools, which allow us to track completion rates, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. The platform continues to evolve with new features, such as Analyze BI, giving us even greater insights into learner engagement and organizational performance.

Cons

What I like least about Absorb LMS is that administrators are not automatically notified when new content is created or uploaded to the system. It would be helpful to have configurable notifications or alerts so admins can stay informed without having to manually check for updates. This would improve visibility, reduce the chance of missing new content, and make it easier to manage and communicate
