### "A learning curve that was worth the time"

I have been using Tagetik since 2013 when it was implemented in the Company. We put out hands a lot inside the software and learned how to design it to our needs. It has been an ever growing learning curve but totally worth it. The system has improved our budgeting, reporting and closing activities significantly.

Pros

The software is adaptable to all businesses, it's flexible and most of all reliable. Additionally, in case of issues, the support team is very professional and helpful.

Cons

The road to the knowledge level we have now has been long and we had to learn the functionalities of the software on our own with limited support from the original project team. Some activites had to be left behind or cancelled.

Pros

It's a very flexible tool, capable to adapt to very particular and specific needs even in niche fields. It is incredibly useful for reporting efficiently and to check data quality. It is also quite useful in terms of collaborating with colleagues working in different regions and / or timetables as all reporting is accessible across the board by all user with the specified access.

Cons

Despite being quite user friendly, as with all tools there is still a learning curve to it: should you not apply yourself diligently to learning how the system works, in case of issues you might end up with more problems than you started with...

Pros

brings Consolidation, Planning, Forecasting, and Reporting into a single environment, reduces manual work, avoids reconciliation issues, and gives finance teams a single source. Tagetik allows administrators to model processes, workflows, and data structures without heavy coding, this makes it easier to adapt the system as business needs change.

Cons

configuration process and custominzing could be long and need resorces full time on it but it is a good investment for the future activites

Very good journey with continous possibilities to exchange experiences with other customers, as well as with Tagetik

Pros

User centricity and flexibility. Allora the management of several processes in parallel, even with very complex requirements.

Cons

Nothing in particular. Overall the experience was always very positive. There have not been any major issues.

Pros

Viele Controlling-Geschäftsprozesse sind im Standard der Software abbildbar (insbesondere Konsolidierung und Planung). Durch den Analytical Workspace keine Begrenzung mehr hinsichtlich der Anzahl von Hierarchien und Dimensionen.

Cons

Tagetik ist ein eher komplexeres Tool, dass für Entwickler, aber auch End-User Schulungen und Trainings voraussetzt.

citizenM is a rapidly growing hotel company. As a finance department we need to facilitate and support this growth, a.o. by using agile, efficient, scalable, SaaS software. Our goal is to become the "best in class" finance department. We use for budgeting, reporting and consolidation already for a couple of years and it fits into the picture perfectly. And to speed up our (monthly / quarterly) close we recently implemented the transaction matching and account reconciliation modules.

Pros

citizenM is a fast growing, global hotel company. We deal with different currencies, GAAP standards, ownership percentages, mergers, et cetera. eases this complexity when it comes to budgeting, consolidation and reporting.

Cons

The solution could be customized according to the customers wishes, it offers lots of possibilities. This requires detailed knowledge of the system internally (or external consultants) when the configuration requires adjustments.We experienced some challenges during the implementation of the transaction matching module related to the connectivity (API vs. FTP). The support from Tagetik on this has been excellent.

Reason for choosing CCH Tagetik

We use for budgeting, reporting and consolidation already for a couple of years. And to speed up our (monthly / quarterly) close we recently implemented the transaction matching and account reconciliation modules from CCH Tagetik. We also investigated other tools, for example Blackline. The main advantage of CCH Tagetik is it's connectivity, the possibilities to customize the tool, customer support is excellent. For us it was also an advantage to not have another tool since we were already using CCH Tagetik.

We use Tagetik for our statutory and management consolidated reporting processes. The recent stress test on this tool has been given by our latest M&A operations, in which we had to consolidated many companies with lots of intercompany relationships between them and within our Group perimeter. Tagetik let us manage this transition easily and in a short time lapse. With an appropriate configuration of the environment these new incorporations did not require additional resources (in terms of time and people). The absence of information duplicates and the use of an automated data entry platform allowed us to manage the communication with our new contributors in an efficient and effective way. In this process it is worth mentioning the contribution of the Tagetik consulting team that has supported us with prompt interventions on our main technical issues.

Pros

Easy to use and configure for the ongoing routines (a first implementation by a skilled consultant is required and suggested). - Familiar look-and-feel which replicates the tipical MS Excel interactions. - Easy to install on remote terminals (works also on mobile devices) for external contributors. - Data are managed in a consistent way. - Scalable architecture which lets you add new modules and manage large consolidation perimeters. - Possible automation for the most common consolidation routines (intercompany eliminations, consolidation adjustments, etc.). - Tangible returns in terms of time spent on reporting generation and time-to-market.

Cons

Depending on your business, the implementation of this platform could require a consistent effort in terms of architecture and data flow projecting. The assistance of a skilled consultant is largely suggested. This step is crucial in order to take the maximum benefits from this product.

Overall good product, expensive, good customer support and account managers. user friendly, customizable, easy to onboard new users.

Pros

It is blank vanilla product that lets us customize it to fit our needs. It has lot of built in / out of the box functionality for financial planning and reporting needs. The implementation is quick and easy with SaaS.

Cons

The nicheness of the product means, it's costly and hard to find consultant/developers. Too much customizing also complexes the data flow and processes. some performance issues during our implementation. not in production so far.

We are preparing the group financial statements. We saved some time for the local entities as they can upload data directly from the ERP. The consolidation and reconciliation process is much smoother on the group level.

The reporting features, are intuitive and simple to use, drag and drop to create report and complicated filterings can be maintained easily by using it dynamically. User interface is asthetically pleasing, making the closing process easier to navigate, follow through and fast.

Cons

The execution running time can sometimes be slow for certain processes. Maybe it could be due to complex calculations or maybe there are external factors in play behind the software (other user performing the same thing at the same time)

The software platform provides everything we were looking for in a solution and more. Service and support has been outstanding and we now have a solution that is more efficient and provides better data sooner.

Cons

I wish some of the documentation were more comprehensive. tge pricing structure is a bit odd and complicated. I'd like to see it streamlined.
