Moon Dance Vacation Rentals has been using eviivo for several years now, and the best gifts it has given us are time and confidence.

Pros

Eviivo and their support staff are top notch. The reservation system offers confidence for both the guests and property owners as well as quick & easy access to information for both.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind at the moment, and surely there must be something. I will take this opportunity to say that in response to a question further on in this questionaire, I put mid range for for the cost of eviivo as compared to others, however the truth is I haven't looked since buying it so that is purely a guess.

Cons

J’ai eu une très mauvaise expérience avec Eviivo. Je cherchais à louer le même bien, commercialisé de trois façons différentes. Leur support m’avait confirmé qu’une solution existait à moins de 55€, mais lorsque j’ai échangé avec le responsable France, il n’a jamais été à l’écoute. Au lieu de rechercher une option adaptée, il proposait systématiquement une solution dépassant 120€. Aucune volonté de trouver un compromis ou de répondre à un besoin simple : seulement une logique de maximisation des profits, sans considération pour le client. Très décevant et absolument pas professionnel.

We are very frustrated with Eviivo. We have communicated a very important problem with the booking calendar more than a year ago and we still haven't received one single follow-up from them. Not even once has someone from their team given us any kind of information about the status of this issue. The problem is a very important one: we are renting our apartments for a minimum of two nights. If a client tries to book accommodation for just one night, the system will give a feedback that there is no availability, it won't tell the client that they are require to select a minimum of two nights. For us, this is a big problem! As I said, after one year, we are still waiting for a reply from Eviivo. Conclusion: we don't recommend Eviivo as they are not focus on their clients.

Pros

The system is easy to operate in the back office. We can customise the interface which is also quite good.

Cons

The booking calendar has very basic limitations and won't show minimum of stays for bookings. Their customer service is catastrophic and incredibly slowly or unable to solve problems in their system.

Exemple concret : j'ai contacté le service client pour résoudre un problème de carte client avant l'arrivée d'un client. On m'a conseillé d'attendre son arrivée. Le jour venu, n'ayant pas de solution, j'ai rappelé, et le téléconseiller m'a promis de se renseigner et de me recontacter. Deux jours plus tard, sans nouvelles, j'ai dû relancer, et on m'a finalement indiqué qu'il aurait fallu agir différemment. Malheureusement, il était alors trop tard.

I have had great customer service from the folks at Eviivo and from the local maintenance professionals.

Pros

I like the cost-effectiveness, the ease of use, the many various changes I can make to my system, including pricing, notes to myself in the calendar, and the financial reports which help me keep my accounting books and also greatly helps when I have to pay montly sales tax and lodging tax to authorities.

Cons

I had some trouble with my mobile app at first, but I think the kinks are worked out now.

### "Allows room management on all vendors in one place"

Eviivo has been an extremely useful tool for us at the Scalloway Hotel. We can set up our hotel rooms descriptions, photos and prices and edit in one place instead of having to individually enter info on vendor sites. We can also 'block off' rooms that are down for maintenance and we can manage and view bookings in one place. The software is cloud based which means we can do whatever we need to do wherever we are!

Pros

Training videos were effective. Product is web based so can be accessed on the go. Product enables hosting of our hotels rooms on multiple websites without having to enter information individually for each vendor. Can view and manage bookings across multiple booking platforms in one place.

Cons

I haven't had any issues really so far and I hope this continues

Pros

Eviivo has made our lives much easier. We manage over 90 properties in Hocking Hills, Ohio. We have 40+ employees and several of them are managers working in Eviivo everyday. The platform works perfectly for monthly reporting & integrating with all the channels that we need. We couldn't be happier.

Cons

Integration with Airbnb can be challenging some times. Data isn't pulled through correctly after reservations are made and you are unable to modify these reservations.

OK, They are professional; and, courtious. I will call, upset over a seemingly impossible, task or problem and They work it out, work me through it. Our guests are drawn to small inns and hotels and like the closeness we and our business ( systems ) project. We engage and deal with many experienced world travelers. Our guests will usually explore our Island on their own, instead of a big structured tour. We have hiking equip, snorkle equip, and know the beaches . So what we offer I feel fits with the personality of Eviivo.

Pros

People professional, helpful. Channel master does it's job. They are small and we are small, Gives a personal touch. Most of our guests from Europe, think a UK company works well.

Cons

Small, computer can sometimes lag real time, We are across many time zones so it's important to respond to guests , quickly. Small , not many people , no gaint resource think tank to draw upon. Small works both ways. Hours of operation can be hard since we are in middle of Pacific ocean, We are 5 or 6 hours off Austin. Things get pushed to tomorrow,

We were forced to use them when our previous service was acquired. Why, why did I wait so long to switch. Just go with ResNexus and forget you even heard the name of Eviivo.

Collects CC charges without much of a hitch.

La mise en place et la prise en main peut être très très rapide ( moins de 15 jours ) si l'on a les photos et les descriptions de ses biens . l'aide en ligne est bien faite. Eviivo est assez intuitif. Un grand merci à Joseph du service activation Eviivo qui s'est occupé de m'accompagner sur la configuration et la publication de mes annonces. C'est une personne très consciencieuse et qui prend le temps de vous expliquer et conseiller dans la configuration. Il ne fait pas que répondre à vos questions : il vérifie chaque étapes et vous conseille si besoin.

Pros

Le planning est visuel et très pratique. Les encaissements et demandes de paiement peuvent se faire dans Eviivo. L'envoi de mail personnalisé est automatique. La nouvelle version pour les smartphone est très pratique. Je gère différents biens via différentes sociétés , et la gestion se fait dans la même interface avec un planning unique , et chaque paiement va bien sur le compte bancaire correspondant. Point très positif coté visibilité sur Internet : Même sans avoir des comptes chez Abritel, Expédia , ou booking, Eviivo peut vous publier une annonce très rapidement sur ces annonceurs. Dans mon cas je n'avais pas pu prendre mon propre compte chez Abritel du fait qu'ils refusent les SCI à l'IS. En publiant mes annonces au travers d'Eviivo , je n'ai plus eu de genre de soucis. Le support est bon. à chaque demande de ma part , j'ai eu une réponse.

Cons

Le module " Rapports " mériterait d'être revu. Pour moi ca fait parti des outils indispensables pour la gestion d'une entreprise. Il y a des rapports pertinents, mais il faut fouillé un peu et l'on ne peut rien personnaliser. A cela s'ajoute une certaine lenteur ... De bon indicateurs permettent de prendre les bonnes décisionx, ils devraient être sur la page d'accueil par défaut ( retards CA par rapport au CA N-1, N-2 serait un minimum. Mais la plupart des PMS restent très très basique . Eviivo va tout de même plus loin en fournissnt de base par mal d'indicateurs. autre points concernant la gestion des ses annonces et établissements , pour les personnes qui ont comme moi plusieurs sociétés avec des adresses et spécificités différentes. La gestion est bien globale dans une interface unique pour la plupart des fonctionnalités ( gestion sur un planning unique de l'ensemble des ses biens par exemple ) mais pour d'autres il faut le faire annonces par annonces comme par exemples les promos ou les mails types( grosses perte de temps ). Dans les rapports on ne peut pas n'ont plus regrouper certains logement entre eux, afin d'avoir des indicateurs par société et non par logement.

De ce que j'ai pu tester ou voir , Eviivo est le plus simple au quotidien à utiliser tout en offrant pas mal de fonctionnalités. Il y a énormément de PMS sur le marché mais beaucoup ont de grosses lacunes et limitations. Eviivo est un bon équilibre même si l'on attend toujours plus. Chacun a sa propre méthode de travail mais globalement Eviivo peut répondre à pas mal de besoins( chambres d'hôtes, gîtes et autres ). En tant que client, on aimerait peut être avoir plus d'écoute sur les besoins et évolutions attendues. Nous sommes aux premières loges et pouvons observer les évolutions et tendances du marché, et malheureusement on à l'impression d'avoir des nouvelles fonctionnalités qui ont un train de retard, du moins on aimerait que ca aille plus vite. Quelque part via nos abonnements on finance le produit et son développement, et l'on aimerait avoir un peu plus la main sur l'orientation des évolutions. et même au delà de l'abonnement à partir du moment ou un outil nous permet de se dégager du temps et avoir un meilleur rendement, je pense qu'on est en capacité de participer au cout de développement, et d'avoir un partenariat gagnant gagnant. c'est mon point de vue.

The transition from Weberations to Eviivo was horrible at first, given the terrible customer support at the time. But after the Austin support group was staffed and trained it has become one of the best support groups we experiance and is far superior to the OTA's Airbnb, Booking.com or VRBO's . Hats off to the current support group.

Pros

Robust functionality and the quality and quantity of the available support

Cons

Customers are not presented an overall view like the Planner view and are frequently confused by Eviivo's presenting properties that are not available after they specify dates and capacity needs. Customer reach out to us and complain about the process and we have to spend time with them to help and explain. When glitches and bugs occur in the software ( Like the event when Payments stopped or deposits suddenly included taxes) it takes far too long to correct the issue., (often 3 weeks+)

First...your observation about our robust functionality / ease of use dilemma is common. eviivo literally has more than 30 software engineers that are constantly working on the platform. We purposely focused on making the platform more comprehensive from the beginning. Recently, we have worked just as hard to improve the ease of use & to improve our training. These improvements are continuing. In regards to your reference to the payments issue that occurrred, please note that was an issue with a merchant provider partner...not with eviivo. In fact, it was eviivo who pressed and found the issue on behalf of you and others. Lastly, we really appreciate your call out of our support team's performance. In fact, Capterra users have done the same calling out eviivo's support team as much better than industry average. Thank you for your continued patronage!

### "Eviivo was the suggested replacement for Webervations"

This was presented as a option when the Chamber of Commerce in my community cut ties with Webervations. I made the switch, but at the same time listed my property on Airbnb. At this point the majority of my reservations come thru Airbnb, and they cost me much less than the reservations booked thru Eviivo. While I appreciate that guests can book my property directly without paying additional fees to Airbnb, the additional costs are outweighing the benefit.

Pros

More user friendly than Webervations was, but the additional costs are adding up. At this point I am leaning towards moving to Airbnb only. Much simpler model, lower cost and they handle my state tax payments for me.

Cons

In addition to paying a fee to Eviivo, I have to pay fees to a third party provider to process credit card payments. Unlike Airbnb, I am responsible for collecting and paying state sales tax. Eviivo touts the ability to advertise my property on other sites such as Home Away, Agoda, etc...but the fees are exorbitant. I am a small business and cannot afford to give up 15% to 20% of my revenue, which I could have rented the same dates thru Airbnb for a much lower cost.

Reason for choosing eviivo

At the time it was the suggested alternative to Webervations, and I thought it would be the product supported by the Chamber of Commerce. Unfortunately they decided to go in a different direction, and given the time and effort in getting set up with Eviivo, along with the 3rd part credit card processor, I decided not to make another switch

### "7 years of pulling my hair out..."

So many growing pains! We've had the software for about 7 years, and I have really mixed feelings. This product has so much potential, but it seems that it's being executed poorly at times, with perhaps some questionable development decisions. When we first began using the software, we had a credit card terminal to process payments, but opted to use the internal credit card processing for a more streamlined process. Initially, there were a lot of problems getting the systems end-of-day to correspond with the credit card processing end-of-day. This resulted in a challenge in reconciling our bank statement, because the amounts funded did not match the daily totals from the system. After a lot of time spent working on this, we were able to have this situation resolved, and the system worked okay for quite awhile. RezOvation is locked into using one of two (the second recently added) credit card processors. This in and of itself might not be a bad thing, except that in this case the primary processor is Intuit Payment Solutions. Intuit has chosen to implement policy restrictions on issuing refunds which boggles the mind. After 90 days has passed from the date of the charge, it's impossible to issue a refund back to the card that was charged. Unacceptable! For a resort that takes advance deposits, this is an unnecessary burden. It creates delays, additional workload, and negative guest experiences. Accuracy of reporting is a critical part of any PMS. It seems a lot of hotel software I have tried has an achilles heel in the reporting, not necessarily all reports, but each product seems to have at least one area that is questionable. RezovationGT is no different. On the Daily Summary report, there are categories that show totals for groups, and for advance deposits taken/ used which have no supporting reports to show how those totals are calculated. This makes it difficult to audit if the day is out of balance. The online segment of RezOvation is also very difficult to deal with. We originally had it set up so our guests could make reservations through our website via Webervations. It seemed to work okay at first, but then they went through a PCI compliance audit, and changed how payments were taken. The payments became "tokenized," so you could not see card details within the system. There were other issues with this process as well as batch-out time issues, which made it a no-go for us.

Pros

Ease of use. Support is always available during normal business hours, and no wait time. Customization of reports and letters. Automated letters for reminders and follow-up with guests. Excellent up-time. No Night Audit process necessary.

Cons

The largest problem I have with this product is the lack of ability to choose your own credit card processor. You are basically stuck with two options, Intuit (awful), and InnPayment which I have not tried yet. Our resort takes advance deposits up to one-year in advance of arrival. Many of our guests return year after year, and so opt to make their next year's reservation when departing. The problem arises if their plans change... Intuit will not allow a refund to a credit card after 90 days has passed, which means we have to write a company check. This might not seem like a huge problem, but the additional workload for doing refund checks, combined with the delays in check processing for our European customers makes it a customer service nightmare. I like the amount of customization options in the reports and letters, but the lack of code for certain things bothers me. Also, the lack of supporting detailed reports for some daily reporting totals (adv. deposits used) makes auditing difficult at times. The real problem seems to be the lack of supporting reports. For example, there is a daily summary report which has values for many categories, cash, visa, gift certificates, revenue, taxes, advance deposits, etc. The problem is that with some of the totals, you don't have access to a detail report to support the total, so it's difficult to audit out of balance issues. They have been working on it gradually, but there's still a couple of categories that need detail reports

I chose Eviivo from a shortlist of maybe half a dozen products when I started out three and a half years ago now and I've grown my business on the back of it. The support during the pandemic of 202/21 was exceptional too. And the price has been a constant too, which is really nice. To be honest, I can't imagine being without Eviivo now.

Pros

The support. It's second to none. You don't need it often, but when you do it's there for you.

Cons

To be honest I can't think of any features I don't like about Eviivo. And I rarely think of improvements that could be made to it (although I do sit up and take notice when Eviivo bring out improvments). I suppose I could cite the fact that there isnt a facility within the software where users can suggest improvements (or not one I've found anyway). Also, Eviivo don't have an affiliate scheme which is a pity, otherwise I'd probably be even more pro Eviivo than I am already!

Pros

Set it up and forget about it! The software behaves like a workhorse and takes care of a million things for me every day.

Cons

Some things take too long to set up when you get started. But worth the effort.

Reason for choosing eviivo

Guesty requires too many integrations with other software before you can match the functionality available with eviivo. Siteminder does not deal with vacation rentals well at all. Their mobile app was poor. Their functionality and channel management badly integrated. Lots of gaps on invoicing and taxes too.

We have found that the software is easy to use for us, and as time goes on they continue to update their software in ways that improve our experience as Hoteliers. We appreciate that they hear our feedback and are always working on ways to improve. We do not take full advantage of all that the software offers, such as the webpage, since we do not know how it would integrate into our google business app which is imperative to us to track our data. We would consider exploring this component more in the future, especially if video content was allowable. ie the possibility of adding 360 degree video for each room,and other videos of our property.

Pros

We like color-coded diary, the app lets you know if money is due, able to search for reservations in many ways, good selection of reports, the software is updated often to add new features and fix glitches, able to view and use on multiple devices. We are usually able to chat with customer service in 10 min or less, and they are (mostly) helpful with our issues.We have been having to reach out to Customer Service less and less.

Cons

Sometimes we have issues with the integration to our merchant account, when we enter the same info into Eviivo it fails, but when we enter it into the merchant account directly it works. Also the templates for the customer communication emails are awkward(perhaps due to British English or British preferences) and guests are confused. Thirdly it is impossible to enter our specific cancellation policy into the options that the software has for us, they say that it is because of the OTA preferrances, but in the end we have 2 cancellation policies, one for the OTA reservations and one for those who book directly with us. Of course they are both written on the confirmation letter and cause confusion.

Reason for choosing eviivo

We felt that this would be the easiest transition for our customer data, and that we would benefit from the most training for this new software. We also hope that our loyalty for being among the first customers would be honored down the road.

Eviivo has cost our business time and money. I am now looking to replace eviivo with another booking engine. It's a shame that the customer service is so lacking because I really had hoped I would like their product. Especially after being on Webervations for 15 yrs which saw virtually no improvements to their calendar despite so many technical advancements in that timeframe which really makes my point...how could eviivo be so much worse than the antiquated and outdated Webervations? At least Weber worked reliably and never cost me reservations.

Pros

Absolutely nothing. Booking engine is NOT working. Their customer service is NON EXISTENT. Phone calls go to voice mail, emails unanswered, support tickets unanswered, online chat spotty at best.

This booking engine is unreliable at best. Since going "live" 2 weeks ago I have not received a reservation thru eviivo because it doesn't work. I have received calls from guests who were unable to complete their booking online which was exactly my experience after I conducted my own test to ensure their system was actually functioning. My test booking never went thru...just kept cycling back to the reservation page. I am 2 weeks into this and have not even received a phone call back from eviivo and the booking engine is still NOT working. The customer service is NON EXISTENT. No one answers the phone, their online chat support is not staffed and most often is unavailable, email and support tickets go unanswered. I have a small lodging property and pride myself on being responsive to the requests of my guests. I am dumbfounded by the total lack of regard eviivo has for their customers. Each day that goes by without the booking engine working properly is costing my business revenue and disservicing my guests. Here are more negatives: 1. The address field asks only for a zip code and not the guests full address. Why? 2. The Discover card and Amex logos do not appear as accepted forms of payment even if your business accepts them. 3. The confirmation letter generated is poorly worded, is largely not customizable and is confusing for a guest to understand. 4. The booking page uses language native to the UK but not the US. Ex: Forename and Surname vs First and Last name.

### "Eviivo has been Very Harmful to our Business since Going Live"

Pros

There are some useful software features to optimize OTA listings. Being able to manage multiple properties from one account is helpful.

Cons

Eviivo has been very harmful to our business since our Go Live date on 1/28/19. We expected that the Go Live process wouldn't be perfect, but their complete lack of customer support and communication concerning very urgent issues is unacceptable. Our properties are actively losing revenue every day this continues. Our customer service is suffering. We are unable to complete accounting reports and prepare monthly tax liabilities. For a company whose self-proclaimed mission is "to champion the independent sector and help small hotels, B&Bs, and accommodation providers succeed online", it is unsettling that our repeated requests for technical support have gone ignored. By limiting their clients' ability to govern their own account settings, Eviivo has made itself essential in this process. Not responding to support requests or even acknowledging them is simply unacceptable. The magnitude of the switchover from ReZovation is irrelevant; Eviivo imposed this deadline on its customers, not the other way around. The setup process was focused on making sure our properties were optimized for OTA searches rather than ensuring that our understanding of the process was clear. Most of the initial calls were a checklist to make sure we had pictures uploaded and amenities selected. Eviivo did not mention that we wouldn't be able to access something as fundamental as a Revenue Report or Occupancy Report without upgrading to the premium subscription rates. Eviivo does not understand their clientele; proactive customer service and guest recovery are important factors that differentiate small hotels from the large brands. Support isn't even available after business hours-- their business hours, not ours. Eviivo's website states that they have a guaranteed 24hr turnaround for their Support Query. Our guarantee has not been met several times over. Eviivo's indifference is inexcusable.

### "Very poor as compared to their desktop version."

We LOVED LOVED LOVED the old desktop version. Lived with it for nearly 6 years. But January 1st required us to abandon that and use the new web version. If they maintain their previous commitment to listen to what the customer needs, they might address all the deficiencies of their new system. I have detailed out over 9 such deficiencies in a letter to homeaway (now the owner of RezOvation Web). I have spent hours researching other programs in the past and for the price never found one to match the capabilities of RezOvation desktop. But now I will be looking again because we are now charged a monthly subscription (as most now do) and find the new system cumbersome. (we were familiar with the desktop version within hours of putting it to use, but now after a month we are still struggling to get to the places we need to be)

Pros

As with their old desktop version, this system does great when it comes to features like: moving or resizing reservations with a drag of the mouse, producing housekeeping and revenue reports, ability to add rooms to an existing reservation, changing the price of any or all rooms. Technical support is quite phenomenal during business hours. Very responsive via phone. Less so via email.

Cons

As compared to their just retired desktop version, this new system has several problems. 1. We can now no longer see all of our rooms in a single screen shot. Of our 40 rooms, over a 1/3 require scrolling up. 2. Choosing rooms for a reservation takes more care and attention because the room order for the reservation window is ordered differently than for our occupancy map. Also, it now shows all rooms whether available for the selected dates or not (before it only showed available rooms with an option to show "all rooms." 3. In the process of entering a guest, if upon first entry there is no existing guest, it is cumbersome to get out of that screen to add a guest. Before if we entered the name and it didn't exist it was a single click to add the new guest. 4. Increased clicks to accomplish almost everything compared to the old system.
