Pros: Easy to use with central location for all benefits. The setup of the program structure prevents mistakes.

Cons: The only problem I have ever had was when setting up complex benefits where one option would invalidate another. Eventually worked through this.

Overall: Very easy to use software with all benefits shown in a clear format.

Comments: Overall I'd recommend!

Pros: Overall, very happy with Workday as a staffing Applicant Tracking System. They seem to have pretty good customer service and response quickly when we have questions.

Cons: One con would be the lack of customization..We wish we had the ability to customize some of the tiles and change things to our needs.

Pros: The layout is engaging and user-friendly. It has a nice, modern and friendly feel to it. Filling in long forms can be a pain though because every time you click on a section it unlocks it for editing (even when you didn't mean to) and then you have to wait for it to save and re-lock that section when you move to another part of the screen.

Cons: Sometimes when a task is assigned, it is not always clear what is required to complete the task or what comes next after the task is completed. Also on some forms you don't realize until you click Submit that there were mandatory fields which needed to be filled in.

Workday is a great tool for any employee to access all of their employment information!

Pros: I love the view of Workday and navigation is so effortless. Having it all on one page is incredible, and reassuring when I need to find something! I can change benefits information as needed and at any time right through the dashboard.

Cons: Some times, trying to get from one step to another is confusing; multiple steps and taking you in circles.

So glad my company switched to this, it makes everything so much easier!

Pros: Once you get the hang of it, it's very easy to use. Love that it gives employees 24/7 access to any HR/Payroll issues.

Cons: Takes a little getting used to, especially for those not computer-savvy. It could better point someone to the right area when they've made an error.

Overall: More ease in hiring employees and giving them access to their information. We will be using the Recruiting platform soon which will make hiring even easier since it goes our applicant tracking for us.

Pros: I like how organized everything is and the ease of use. When you need to find something in particular, it is so easy to find and all the employees have easy access to all their information.

Cons: Sometimes information imputes into the system can take a little long to sync and to view documents you also have to wait a little long sometimes while the request is being made and the documents appear in your inbox.

Overall: I love workday compared to other employee portals i have used in the past.

Comments: Very good looking system (aesthetically pleasing)

Pros: Incredible program, great for a large company that has employees in multiple provinces and countries. Customer service and project management is top notch. Reporting is simple yet vast!

Cons: If you have a small to mid-sized company, all that Workday has to offer is way too much. Will slow you down and make things difficult.

I can see my benefits easily online.

Pros: Since implementing Workday, I have loved that I can see my vacation and sick time available, review policies, make changes to my tax exemptions, etc. all in one place at any time. It is easy and intuitive and I find that I refer to it all the time. I am not an administrator so I can't speak to the cost or ease to maintain, but from a user perspective, it has been wonderful.

Cons: The only annoyance is that it seems to timeout very quickly. I know that is a security feature to prevent unauthorized access if I forget to log off so I shouldn't really complain. It may be a configurable setting, but I would like a little more time to refer to a calendar or other information before the session terminates.

Overall: All my benefits information in one place anytime.

Cons: It really doesn't have any cons for me. It's an easy to use software that doesn't stop working or shut down when it shouldn't.

Pros: You can see your time for the week, and see total hours that you put in. You can also request time off and see if it gets approved. Less of a hassle than going through management.

Cons: We recently moved from a punch clock, and this takes a lot more time to sign into a computer in order to sign in for work.

Overall: See previous time tracked for the week.

Pros: Workday is super easy to navigate and find the information I need. We have used other programs to manage payroll etc. but this is by far the easiest to use. The icons make it so easy to navigate.

Cons: I had some trouble adding this to my computer however this may have been due to company issues. Once this was installed no issues.

Comments: There is no perfect enterprise HR solution out that that I have found, but Workday is among a few that really can do it all for medium and larger organizations. Just be prepared for some headache and learning curve in the beginning phases.

Pros: The templates for task completion can be very useful. Once I had the dashboard fully configured, it was much easier to navigate and had a nice look and feel to the UI. It seems organized and works best when you have an organization with a dedicated HRIS person or team. It is fully end-to-end and has lots of features.

Cons: It can feel a bit overwhelming at times, especially in the beginning. It feels like there are many unnecessary "clicks," and it seems like it takes you in circles. The implementation was very rough, because there were so many questions and confusion all around. We could have done a better job with change management.

Cons: The pending tasks are not sent as a reminder on the email. That would be good to incorporate as it is not a portal you visit daily.

Pros: It does a great job at consolidating payslips and allowing easy access to payroll information from multiple years and paydays. It's web based and the user interface is adaptive; so it works well on mobile devices too, easy to access and can be integrated with the enteprise single sign on (SSO) infrastructure.

Cons: When a user wants to print a payslip this is automatically generated by a background process and it is not displayed immediately. Instead, the user is told that a notification will be received within their Workday UI when the file is ready for printing/download in PDF. Now the problem is that this file is dynamically generated with the same name, every time. So if you need to download all your payslips from a certain year, you'll find that you have to rename 26 different files to be able to find the right one you need later.

It is one of the most easy to use and informative HR portal I have used

Pros: Simple and intuitive with a great UI. May be a bit of a change coming from a legacy system, though. Fast, responsive, and it's great that the employee can update his/her file himself. Great place for employees to manage/view their vacation days and scheduled time off.

Cons: A tad expensive. Took a while to set up the back end of the system (which is good for customisability, but still). Sometimes you end up going in circles looking for something specific.

Pros: What a I love most about this product is their minimalist design. It looks clean and the user experience is so smooth. It is super fast. The mobile experience is also superb. Responsive web design makes it easy to view anywhere.

Cons: I can┬┐t say I have any. I think it is a little expensive for small and medium companies. Perhaps they could think about it.

Pros: I like that I am able to approve timesheet and timeoff requests from my staff anywhere with an internet connection and even right from my phone!

Cons: Its not easy to view and get an accurate count of my staff's remaining balance for vacation and personal days.

Pros: I think the most I like about the software is its ability to handle big chunks of data and organizing it in such a way that it is not cluttered and easy to find and use later. It helps manage all the different info and uses for an employee.

Cons: I think there is something with the encryption or the platform it was developed on because of which it sometimes returns errors or just freezes. Maybe that can be improved resulting in a better solution.

The implementation of this caused many problems including unpaid bills and missed purchase orders.

Pros: I like being able to see all of my human resources and payroll stuff in one place. Ideally the rest of it would be easier to use.

Cons: It is not easy to self navigate. Some of the interfaces are apparent what to do and where to go, but some are not. Good luck figuring out how to submit a reimbursement on your own.

Pros: Benefits, payroll, and time tracking all in one place. Both as an employee and as a people manager, this tool makes my life very easy for the administration task work that comes with being both.

Cons: Time off tracking for employees would be more helpful if there was integrations with group calendars or options to show time-off for an entire team and make it easy for everyone within a team/organization to see planned time off for subordinates.

Pros: The software is very easy to use, it keeps everything from Pay, PTO, vacation, and benefits in one. The icons are easy and anyone can figure out how to use it.

Cons: Occasionally information in Workday would not be updated or would be delayed. The platform does not engage its users.

Overall: Easiest HCM platform to use. Allows your employees to see their information and edit it when needed.

It has been a great experience. Benefits are never easy, but Workday makes it easy.

Pros: When annual enrollment comes around, I receive a message in my inbox. I opened it up and I'm ready to start selecting my benefits. The UI is great. The response time is great. A+

Cons: I honestly do not have a single complaint. I've use this two years in a row and I love it. I feel any changes made at this point would be changing for the sake of change, not for an improvement.

Overall: I'm able to select my benefits and enroll in everything with ease. I love how their is quick links to my companies polices readily available also.

Pros: Workday Payroll is one of the best payroll software achievable in the market right now. for human resource experts it will let them manage the payroll and finances more conveniently.Workday being a cloud software obviously avails its customers with a mobile version application which helps you work on the go

Cons: the software can be updated more frequent with new upcoming latest features and even a free trial ought to be made accessible for new clients. did not find anything bad in the application however the company may work to enhance its features and may add more features along with the payroll.Because of it's slowness It becomes frustrating very fast and no support is really offered by the supplier to users.

I've been using the workday app for all my payroll and time card needs for work.

Pros: It's easy to use and it's so easy to navigate through the mobile site. It's so beneficial to be able to check my time card and look at my payroll information in the palm of my hands.

Cons: I don't like that I have to use my token app just to gain access to the site that links to my work account for payroll purposes. Not sure if it's maybe because of my company or if it's something that everyone has to do. Nonetheless it's inconvenient when I'm in a rush.

Overall: I use it almost all the time so I always know exactly what's going on when it comes to my payroll or time cards.

Pros: Workday is fairly easy to use. I do like the ability to login with your fingerprint on new cellular devices.

Cons: Workday gets overcomplicated very easily. I feel like there is too much going on in one place. Sometimes it moves slow and I have personally had frequent issues with check ins.

Comments: Great software and a decent price point. Good for non profits as well!

Pros: Workday has a lot of features and uses. We ran almost everything through it from personnel data, time tracking, reviews, forms and more. The possibilities are endless.

Cons: The backend of setting up certain features can be a bit cumbersome. Takes several people long hours to maintain and manage system.

Pros: It's very intuitive to use. A lot of human capital management softwares are not that easy to use. This one is very to the point and you can find things easily. It takes the guessing game out of the picture

Cons: There are a lot of clicks involved to get to certain places. It might not be that easy to use for someone who isn't technically savvy. If that's the case, having a simple walk through with a coworker on how to use it would be sufficient enough.

Pros: Salary breakup representation is very good and informative. Time off feature is very well maintained.

Cons: The only drawback is its slow processing, in 100mbps LAN usually it take 20 seconds to open. SSO is slow too.

Pros: Easy to right business rules as needed for many different complex eligibility groups. Very user friendly!

Cons: Reporting in benefits can be tricky - but do-able. I would recommend taking a reporting class before you implement.

Overall: Able to manage benefit administration ourselves and not use a third party. Able to configure the system to what we need.

Cons: The user experience has too many clicks. This tends to deter users who are not very technically savvy.

Pros: System is very easy to navigate and the menus are intuitive. Easy to the whether employees are within appropriate salary ranges and historical data is presented well.

Cons: With my particular instance I do not receive notifications outside of the application. I must enter the application to receive notifications and to get to my Workday "inbox".

Pros: Allows you to pick up where you left off if you have to use it multiple times before being able to finalize goal updates for submission. Doesn't start you back up at the beginning where you would have to page forward to where you left off.

Cons: Had some minor quirks to get used to with indicating a goal was completed or still in progress, but nothing I didn't like about it specifically.

Cons: I liked the product as I used it but Actions in the inbox was one red highlight. At time the actions are not navigable. As a fresher I didn't know is it a critical update or not.

Pros: Workday benefit tool is elaborative tool for benefit. We get almost all benefits detail in this tool.

Pros: I like the most about this is you can send the feedback request through same. Further it provides you to enter your career goals in the same along with it you can fill all you information of yourself and your dependents for availing benefits at one place. I also like the time off feature in it which is in hours, it gives an advantage to put half day leave.

Cons: There is nothing so far that I didn't like about the software. However, there should be a notification pop up system instead of mail which I think would be more interesting.

Comments: Workday's implementation of Service delivery feature/functionality related to Call Center's will help organization lower their cost by moving away from Salesforce CRM.

Pros: Workday is the leading cloud based ERP. Oracle and SAP have been late to the market when looking at the Higher Education Market.

Cons: Student Module needs additional features and functionality. Workday is about 2 years away from providing a complete SIS environment for the Higher Ed segment.

Pros: As an employee, I use Workday mostly to manage my goals and benefits elections. Workday makes these processes pretty simple for the most part and certainly streamlines them, giving me inbox reminders, etc.

Cons: While Workday does streamline certain activities, the software itself can be quite cumbersome. Sometimes the options are unintuitive, and the site can be difficult to navigate. That said, I haven't worked with competitor software, so I'm not certain how it stacks up next to those.

Comments: I have only been using Workday for a few months. After taking all of the integration courses and starting to build integrations I am reasonably comfortable with the back end but no front end knowledge which is required to test at least the inbound integrations. Be prepared to spend days researching certain topics before coming up with answers. I recommend hiring a consultant to help in house developers learn the tools and functionality if you decide to go with Workday.

Pros: -Basic functionality for end users is intuitive and easy to use. -Lots of options for integration with third parties -Easy to use, custom, report capability with the option to expose reports as services (RaaS). -Fairly easy to learn and use add-in for Eclipse for complicated integrations (Workday Studio).

Cons: -Training is expensive and is basically required to do an implementation due to lack of available reference material. Recording the online training for future reference is not permitted -The workday community site is cumbersome (searches are not ranked according to relevancy and it can take many hours to find what you are looking for). Some workday studio components don't seem to be documented at all on the site. -Certain functionality and community information is only provided to "Workday Implementation partners" which makes it nearly impossible to implement in-house without paying to outsource some of the work to a workday partner. -Workday doesn't seem to have been built with performance in mind. Even with server side paging, reports and integrations are very slow. -Lots of "hidden features." This would normally be a bonus but more advanced tasks require the user to know exactly what to search for from the application's search feature. Most of the functionality of workday is hidden in search results and isn't intuitively exposed in the UI.

Pros: The user interface is clear when entering performance reviews. It creates a string of actions between the employee and the manager.

Cons: Action items go into the "inbox" and without a notice there, it is very difficult to find an old action item for review. Multiple modules within the Workday interface are not well described, and the user may have to hunt for specific modules.

Pros: Ease of use and the quality look of the whole software--Simplistic looks allow for ease of use but these layouts and scheme are exactly what is needed for any person to use and understand the product. I highly appreciate how easy it is for employees to have a part in viewing/changing their own benefits, beneficiaries, and dependents.

Cons: The only suggestion I would make is to increase the height of the viewing boxes. Currently, they are cut off directly after the last line, appearing cramped. However, this is aesthetics.

Pros: Graphical Interface - cool graphics is the only positive
Yes it integrates candidate data with HR (if you have Workday HR) but that benefit isn't worth the flaws

Cons: Workflow is too restrictive - nice in theory but you have to go back to you in-box to move the candidate to the next step
Offers take forever and if you make a mistake you have to resend to leader for approval
Everything is effective dated - if you have a recruiter who started after a req is opened they can't take action on a candidate who applied before that date (terrible for vacation coverage/new hire recruiters).
Can't search by candidate name (e.g. you are looking for John Smith - Names tha thave J or S in them come up in no particular order - also can't use the ATS as a sourcing database (we had a progressive sourcing team and they couldn't use it)
Recruiters in a high volume environment will hate it - it takes literally 4x the time to hire a candidate in the system. There are too many steps and flaws.
There are many more issues - My company met with Workday User Experience Leader and they listened to the feedback and in a year - no changes were made. These aren't configuration issues people - these are architectural design flaws. Run don't walk from this software - It's at least 5 - 10 years away from anything on the market.
You will impact recruiter morale in high volume recruiting shops. If you have very low volume recruiting then I guess you could live with it.
Reporting functionality is almost nil - doesn't come with any really useful canned reports - very limited.

Overall: integration w/ Workday HR - not enough benefit to outweigh the functional negatives

Pros: We moved onto Workday when we did not have a system in place previously. So there was a lot to consider and much work that needed to be done to set up system with our historical data (this was the biggest effort). However once we were set up on Workday, life was so much simpler for our HR department. Processes were followed, employees were more informed about their vacation and benefits information and we finally build the reports we needed to support our growing company!

Cons: I think all of the effort and consultancy hours we spent on delivering workday made this a very costly implementation. The processes of inputting our historical data was a bit chaotic, however Workday was with us all along the process and made sure we had a successful implementation and launch.

Comments: Inadequate training, lack of internal SME resources, and an absence of a true guided vision/direction by leadership will result in an expensive and poorly received system. As such, an organization will be reliant on implementation partners or independents as consultants, supporting or re-implementing a failed system, which will be even more expensive.

Pros: Workday is leading edge technology and highly configurable.The UI is best in class. Integrations with most 3rd party systems are easy to configure and the delivered packaged integrations are superb.

Overall: Workday is used as our company's tool for performance management as well as compensation. It's extremely easy to use and very user-friendly. Anything you're looking for can be accessed within 2-4 clicks and the page is never crowded with too much information. In 2015, our company moved to Workday to house employee performance goals and reviews. This tool has the option to conduct reviews of direct reports and also has the ability to collect reviews from direct reports about their direct managers. There's an awesome audit trail as well as approval process. All changes are tracked and it's good that this tool allows the option for dual acknowledgement of year-end reviews (from the employee and their direct manager). Would highly recommend for companies of all sizes.

Comments: This software flat out stinks. It's cumbersome, too many buttons and many of them lead you astray to a place you do not want to go, reporting is terrible, and the worst part is the offer stage is the hardest thing, it's like threading a needle multiple times. As a recruiter for ten years the last thing you want to struggle on is getting an offer letter to a candidate, you work hard enough just to get them there and now you have to deal with software issues? I had to ask several candidates to reapply after getting the offer cause they have all these ass backwards rules. Trust me I've implemented and worked on better ones ten years ago than this one.

Stay far away from this software, one of the three reasons why I quit a place I worked at was because of this software. It's a big fat complicated beast that spoils recruiting. It's not hard to find something better, there are hundreds just pick anyone than this.

Pros: Once it is up and running it is sophisticated.

Cons: Too expensive for smaller company and too difficult to understand at first.

Overall: Workday is a big system and not for a small Company. They are also expensive and use a ticketing customer service model so you can't just pick up the phone and call when you have an issue. Once you do put in a ticket it is a 24-72 hour turnaround before they even call back. They also charge by the hour for the service. If you want to make any changes to it, you have to be able to code at a certain level and then again, they charge you for everything. Including setting up Open Enrollment for Benefits to setting up Performance Management.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make sure to really inquire about the total cost of the product from implementation to customer service.

Overall: Workday allows employees to easily log their shift hours online and request days off or shift changes. When I used it, the tool always logged hours correctly and I never had any issues with it.

Comments: My experience with Workday Payroll is as an employee and not HR. As an employee entering time sheets is really easy and convenient. Options for quick adds really make it easy to fill out the whole week with the same time. The only confusing bit would be submitting time sheets when you have a vacation and holiday planned.

Overall: I used workday within the retail world where time is limited and everything that is not documented can come back to haunt a Manager months later. Workday helps ensure that everything is not only documented, but easy organized, accessible and up to date. I would recommend this to any beginners with help easing into Performance Management systems.

Recommendations to other buyers: Helpful when training beginners on how to implement Performance Management into their routine.

Comments: My company just recently started to use Workday for various things such as payroll, benefits, compensations, goal setting (objectives), etc.. I did not take the training but was able to navigate through the system just by perusing through the site. I like the org charts and how the look and feel of the application/software is simple. It is very easy to use and helpful.

Pros: It is quite simple to use, with an app like interface that divides up the functions into sensible categories. The most frequent thing I do is enter vacation, and it has nice entry and reporting capabilities so I always know where I stand throughout the year.

Overall: I am an employee user of Workday, my company administrates our benefits through this tool. Our previous tools were very difficult and I needed instruction sheets to interact with them. But with Workday it is considerably simpler and I can often intuitively find what I need. We do vacation time,paychecks, health benefits and more through Workday.

Comments: Workday provides benefit elections in a simple easy-to-use format that is unparalleled to any other benefit elections software I've encountered. Benefits are always a touchy subject and to be able to elect what I want and see the different options available before I select what I want is so awesome.

Comments: The system is intuitive to the basic users. When our new employees are prompted to enter their information, I have not had one person who has a questions. They were able to flow through the screen easily.

Pros: The flow of the system and notifications are great.

Comments: Navigation as an employee - good. Easy to understand the basics (pay, taxes, etc.). Benefits enrollment challenging. Navigation from HR - reports/data can be challenging to pull what you are exactly looking for. Organizational chart is difficult for large organizational. Ease of use from management perspective can be challenging (i.e. opening/closing position).

Comments: Expense report features could use modification. The timeout feature is not user-friendly and causes the user to have to restart the expense report process. The Directory could be modified for easier navigating.
