“It is very hard to be negative / suggest improvements about workday, but I would say the one thing stopping it from being a complete user friendly system is the lack of customisation, for example there is no ability to set your own theme / colour code certain things which may cause accessibility issues for some people.“

### "your workday! will be a great day"

January 6, 2026

4.0

Overall, the features are good as compared to SAP SF, and Oracle Teleo. if someone is looking for bulk hiring and managing the data, and a single platform workday would be great.

Pros

Vendor management and candidate management help to manage the data for business leaders, as well as with self-work productivity.

### "Worth The Hype"

January 17, 2026

4.0

Overall, it is a good tool for managing a lot of workers/employees and it make it easy to standardize expectation across multiple departments

Pros

Centralization of documents and work processes that makes it easy to have documentation in one place and not scattered all over.

Cons

It wonky when you first get started without clear instructions on how to navigate the workflow. Things are not well grouped in folders or spaces to ensure differentiation.

### "Good for Associates"

April 15, 2026

5.0

Overall, a pleasant experience using workday as an associate and I would like to utilize this system at careers in the future.

Pros

This program is user friendly for both associates and managers. You are able to access your paystubs and pay rate as an associate and process payroll as a manager. HR is able to upload any important documents into a candidate's portal as well as any past work experience/certifications. Lots of organizations utilize Workday and it is seemingly good value. Not many bugs that have been noted. Customer support is helpful when making changes to your personal profile.

Cons

If there is not a stable internet connection, the app can be glitchy at times. When necessary, changes need to be made by an associate such as address or phone number, they have to go through administration which can delay this change from processing immediately.

### "Simple to use as long as paying close attention"

February 13, 2026

3.0

Haven't had many issues, only sometimes it doesn't like to work with learnings in aspects of loading modules or confirming completion.

Pros

ease of use, simple to navigate most of the time. Timekeeping is very simple to use on it, though wish I could view schedules and corrections as a whole.

Cons

testing, the learning side likes to glitch out. as well as trying to put in schedules, a bit difficult to navigate putting in Teams scheduling. It's not easy to upload 1 whole schedule, so have to resort to adding one at a time.

### "Great Platform"

March 3, 2026

4.0

As a user, I have felt more connected with HR management, especially when they create a "ticket," and you can see what steps are taken to get my issue resolved. Kudos!

Pros

The ease of use for users to view multiple facets of their employment, including payroll, learning, benefits, and personal data.qq

Cons

Sometimes navigation is not very intuitive, and the learning curve can be steep. If you figure it out, the tools are very useful.

### "Workday review"

May 28, 2026

4.0

Overall, Workday HCM delivers a robust and scalable solution for managing people processes in a structured and controlled way. It is well suited for organisations with complex requirements and governance needs. While there is a learning curve and ongoing effort required to maintain and optimise the system, it provides strong long-term value when implemented and managed effectively.

Pros

Workday HCM provides a comprehensive and integrated platform for managing core HR processes. It offers strong configuration capabilities, enabling organisations to align the system closely with their business processes. Reporting and data visibility are powerful, allowing for better insights and decision-making. The ability to manage multiple HR functions—such as recruitment, compensation, and talent—within a single system is a key strength.

Cons

Workday HCM requires a significant level of expertise to configure and maintain effectively. Governance, security, and process design need to be well established, otherwise complexity can increase quickly. Some changes require careful impact analysis and testing, and there can be a reliance on support or AMS teams for ongoing optimisation. For end users, certain processes may feel less intuitive compared to simpler systems.

### "Easy-to-Use HR Platform That Keeps Everything Organized"

June 8, 2026

4.0

My overall experience with Workday HCM has been positive. It helps simplify HR processes and keeps important employee information organized and easy to access. I find it useful for managing daily workforce tasks and staying up to date with company information.

Pros

I like that Workday HCM keeps everything in one place. It makes it easy to access employee information, manage schedules, request time off, and complete HR tasks without having to switch between multiple systems. The employee self-service features are especially convenient and save time.

Cons

Some parts of the system can be confusing when trying to find specific information, and certain tasks require several clicks to complete. It can take some time to learn all of the features, especially for new users.

My overall experience with Workday was very strong with communication and costumer service, one of the best and over all web-base software.

Pros

I appreciate the service that workday provide to new hires, it is very easy to use for scheduling and for HR communication.

Cons

### "Platform Manager Preference"

January 30, 2026

5.0

There isn't a system that I could imaging supporting and advocating for in our organization. I spent 20+ years in HR sometimes with 20+ systems. Now, with Workday, we may have a few others outside of Workday, but we can keep the number reasonable, manageable and when needed - talk directly to Workday on enhancements.

Pros

It covers everything we need. And what it doesn't cover, we can connect easily to another solution.

Cons

There are a lot of add-ons that you have to have to make it all work sometimes. This can be prohibitive of keeping a solution all in one place without spending significantly more than anticipated.

### "Workday HCM - always building and expanding to fit our needs"

November 10, 2025

5.0

I've been using Workday HCM since 2018 as an Admin in all the HCM modules. Over this time, I have seen Workday expand, iterate and improve, and continuously innovate their platform to keep it the forerunner in the HRIS space. This not only challenges me to become a better Admin, but also provide the best solution for our business needs. I think this innovation is how Workday has stayed a top/leading solutions over the years.

Pros

Workday HCM is both infinitely customizable but also within my control as an Admin. Unlike other systems I've used, I can truly make our Workday tenant what I want and what the business needs. This allows us to solve our unique business needs while not having to purchase a highly customized system that is too hard or expensive to maintain. I also love that all of our employee data, benefits, time off, payroll, etc., is all within the one system. This helps create a seamless flow of our HR data to the downstream functions that need it.

Cons

Sometimes it is hard to know the "art of the possible" just based on your implementation. I know a lot of customers will go live with a basic setup and it can be hard to know what to do next.

### "Workday HCM"

January 30, 2026

5.0

Workday has simplified our technology footprint at Loop. Previously we had several platforms operating in silos. Now we are fully integrated.

Pros

Ease of use, ability to configure to business needs, scalable, efficient, uptime. We use both HCM and Financials, so it is very valuable to have both under the same roof.

Cons

For smaller businesses with less business needs, it would be great to have a "lite" version with less rules.

### "Highly recommend Workday for all size companies and sectors"

January 2, 2026

5.0

Workday is super convenient and all-in-one. They occupy a good niche in HR management for internal employees and external applicants. I doubt any other software is up to par.

Pros

After starting at a new company, I found that Workday was excellent for onboarding task management. The requirements are itemized and quickly refresh once completed, helping me stay on task in a new environment that requires significant amounts of time for onboarding.

Cons

I'm still having some trouble using the organizational chart/tree lookup function. I think some training videos for this and other features would help a lot.

### "Reliable HR Solution"

November 5, 2025

4.0

Overall, Workday HCM has been very positive. It does streamline many HR and processes, reducing manual effort and improving data accuracy across the organization. Comprehensive view of our workers, makes it easier to manage employee information, performance, and career development in one place.

Pros

User Interface, flexibility of business processes, Machine Learning Suggestions, Unified Platform and scalability

Cons

Mobile functionality, while improving, doesn’t always offer the similar experience as of browser. Customization and reporting sometimes has limitation and require additional modules like Prism/Extend that is quite expensive.

### "Improved product, good for employee feedback"

June 13, 2025

4.0

I'm glad that they've put time into improving their product over the last few years I have used it to make it a more enjoyable user experience.

Pros

Logging invoices is easier than the old system, the work flow is setup and easy to use. All in one capability for HR needs including ability to do goals, schedule company wide reminders, and provide employee feedback through Peakon.

Cons

The old software used to note save your goals and had trouble uploading, but they have fixed most of those bugs, so it is much easier to use now.

### "Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) - A Benefit's Analysts Review"

January 30, 2026

5.0

In nearly two decades working in HR, finance, and benefits administration across both small charter schools and large municipal government, I’ve implemented and managed several HR systems from basic payroll platforms to comprehensive HRIS solutions. I’ve seen what works, what doesn’t, and what promises more than it delivers. This review draws from my direct experience using Workday HCM at the City of Tucson, where I support benefits administration, compliance tracking, and system configuration for thousands of employees and retirees. After working with Workday HCM for over two years at the City of Tucson, I can confidently say it’s a robust enterprise solution that delivers real value. In my previous role managing HR and finance for a charter school, we had separate systems for payroll, benefits, finance, and student information. Every month-end close involved manual reconciliation, data entry correction, and inevitable discrepancies. Workday eliminates that headache. The system excels at what enterprise HR platforms should do: unify data across finance and HR, automate complex processes, and provide actionable analytics. The single data model means benefits analysts like me can track enrollment changes, audit payroll deductions, and reconcile benefits vendor billing without jumping between multiple systems. The real-time reporting has been a game-changer developing timely reports, responding to ad-hoc data requests from City management, and reducing physical paperwork while increasing timeliness and accuracy of benefits enrollments and changes for employees and retirees. As a benefits analyst, the quality of Workday’s benefits module is particularly important to me. The system handles health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, FSAs, HSAs, and more—all within a single interface. Employee self-service is intuitive enough that most staff & retirees can complete their own enrollments without assistance, which dramatically reduces the administrative burden during open enrollment. In addition to the above, I particularly appreciate the audit trail capabilities. Every benefits transaction—enrollments, changes, terminations—is logged with date stamps and user information. If questions arise months or years later about who made a change and when, I can pull that history instantly. For someone who’s spent countless hours investigating data discrepancies and disputes over why a change was made and how it impacted lives from paychecks to the ability to use insurance benefits, this is a significant quality-of-life improvement. Overall, Workday’s unified data model, comprehensive benefits administration, real-time reporting, and compliance capabilities make it a powerful platform for enterprise HR operations. \*Note that this is my personal & professional review and opinion and does not constitute the official views or opinions of my current or prior employers.

Pros

\* Unified data model \* Comprehensive benefits administration \* Real-time reporting \* Ease of use for employees

Cons

\* Configuration changes require a long lead time. External consultants are a necessity for successful initial implementation.

### "I drink the Workday Kool-Aid"

January 30, 2026

5.0

I am a Workday fan - I think it is an amazing product - I have been using it for almost 10 years - it does feel a bit grandiose now and the AI focus seems overwhelming - but I used to really love it

Pros

I like the endless possiblities and the customization for the businesses using it. I like that most of the configuration troubleshooting can be managed in house

Cons

Once you think you know something, they change it - Also, it feels like the everything now is an add-on for a price - I also liked it better when Workday Community wasnt using the Ideation hub and I can no longer access things if I'm not in a certain group.

### "Easy to use system"

March 30, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Workday HCM has been positive. It’s a reliable and user-friendly system that makes it easier to manage everyday HR tasks. While there are a few areas that could be more streamlined, it generally helps improve efficiency and keeps everything organized in one place.

Pros

I like how easy Workday HCM is to use and navigate. Everything is in one place, which makes managing HR tasks much more convenient. The self-service features and real-time information also help save time and make day-to-day tasks more efficient.

Cons

Sometimes it can be a little difficult to find specific features, especially if you don’t use them often. Certain processes also feel more complicated than they need to be, and reporting can take some time to get used to.

### "Complete, and easy to use HCM"

December 30, 2025

5.0

Pros

I have used Workday both as a people manager for several years and as an individual employee, and it works very well from both perspectives. As a manager, it made it easy to manage my team, find employee information quickly, share updates, point people to the right resources, and handle things like time off approvals and recruitment in one centralized place. It reduced a lot of back and forth and kept everything organized. From an employee standpoint, it is equally easy to use. I can quickly book time off, manage my vacation schedule, review my employee information, and stay on top of tasks with clear and helpful notifications. Everything I need is easy to find, which makes day to day admin simple.

Cons

I do not have many cons to point out. Because it is such a robust platform, some workflows can feel a bit heavy for very simple tasks, but that is largely the tradeoff of having a powerful and comprehensive HCM system.

### "Workday Review"

December 10, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Workday has been really great. I have had the best work experience, from managing my personal details, contracts, leave days and any query related to HR. Workday makes all this easy and smooth to manage and with the use of AI, it makes everything efficient and makes the team more efficient in what they do. I love using Workday and will continue using it

Pros

What I love the most about Workday is that it’s really easy to use and is user friendly. Workday makes life easier when it comes to time off and leave days. Everything is automated and it’s easy to request for leave days and check how many leave days you’re left with. It also makes it easy to manage your details and contracts. In a nutshell, Workday gives the best employee experience

My overall experience has been quite positive. The feedback I hear from our end users is typically that it has been very helpful in managing their teams.

Pros

I like that anyone truly can learn to use Workday (from an HRIS perspective), but it does take years of training and learning the system. From a typical end user standpoint, it has proven helpful in data management.

Cons

Pros

I liked that Workday was very user friendly and fairly intuitive to use. Employees were able to pick it up and use it very easily which was nice that I did not have to train people on how to use it.

Cons

I can't say that there is anything in particular that I disliked about it. The most I could say is that the mobile app required a good internet connection to load and that could make using it while out difficult.
