Overall, the features are good as compared to SAP SF, and Oracle Teleo. if someone is looking for bulk hiring and managing the data, and a single platform workday would be great.

### "Benefits of Workday"

August 14, 2026

5.0

Overall, the software is a top-rated, very user-friendly, and easy to install. It has many benefits for users.

Pros

Workday is extremely easy to use for timekeeping. It also allows a person to request time off and a change of schedule.

Cons

For a small business, the software may be a little expensive, but for mid-sized and larger businesses, they will be able to absorb the expenses.

### "Simple to use as long as paying close attention"

February 13, 2026

3.0

Haven't had many issues, only sometimes it doesn't like to work with learnings in aspects of loading modules or confirming completion.

Pros

ease of use, simple to navigate most of the time. Timekeeping is very simple to use on it, though wish I could view schedules and corrections as a whole.

Cons

testing, the learning side likes to glitch out. as well as trying to put in schedules, a bit difficult to navigate putting in Teams scheduling. It's not easy to upload 1 whole schedule, so have to resort to adding one at a time.

### "Workday Works Wonders!"

May 19, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Workday HCM is amazing! I feel like it's easy to use and the customer support is amazing! It also makes my daily tasks so much easier since so much of my stuff is now found in one place.

Pros

My favorite thing about Workday HCM, is how everything is all in one place. The ease of use is amazing! There aren't any bugs or issues like I've experienced in the past with other applications.

Cons

My least favorite thing about Workday HCM is the fact that it is a bit more costly than others, but it is well worth it in my opinion.

### "The tool is great! The company needs to reevaluate their priorities."

November 5, 2025

4.0

I've loved the tool itself. The company is quite rigid with subscription agreements which can be challenging when organizational changes are bound to happen within a 3-7 year period. When I first started working with them, they really cared about their employees and customers and it showed in everything they did. Now, under new leadership it's clear that their priorities have changed and not for the better.

Pros

I love how customizable everything is. We can build everything that our organization needs to track for compliance, document management, HR Management, Payroll Management, Learning and Talent.

Cons

I would like additional options for communicating with our end users. The UI is the top priority for my team and while Workday is certainly improving on this, I think there's a lot more that can be done in ESS and MSS as well utilizing AI more effectively across the platform.

Reason for choosing Workday HCM

UKG was very similar to Mosaic so we wanted to get far away from that. ADP seemed overly clunky from a user perspective. There were concerns about Rippling's ability to scale.

### "Worth The Hype"

January 17, 2026

4.0

Overall, it is a good tool for managing a lot of workers/employees and it make it easy to standardize expectation across multiple departments

Pros

Centralization of documents and work processes that makes it easy to have documentation in one place and not scattered all over.

Cons

It wonky when you first get started without clear instructions on how to navigate the workflow. Things are not well grouped in folders or spaces to ensure differentiation.

### "Powerful All-in-One HR Platform with a Learning Curve"

April 19, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Workday HCM has been positive. The platform offers a comprehensive, all-in-one solution for managing HR processes, which makes it convenient to handle everything from employee data to performance tracking in a single place. Its modern interface and self-service features help streamline everyday tasks and improve efficiency for both employees and managers. While there is a bit of a learning curve and some features can feel complex at times, the system’s reliability, real-time data access, and continuous updates make it a strong and effective tool for human capital management.

Pros

What I liked most about Workday HCM is its intuitive, modern interface combined with its all-in-one functionality. The system makes it easy for employees and managers to complete everyday tasks—like requesting time off, updating personal information, or accessing pay details—without needing extensive training. I also appreciated having HR, payroll, recruiting, and performance management all in one place, which streamlines processes and keeps everything consistent. The real-time reporting and analytics are especially valuable, providing quick access to up-to-date data for better decision-making. Overall, its cloud-based design, strong self-service features, and mobile accessibility make it a convenient and efficient solution for managing HR tasks.

Cons

What I liked least about Workday HCM is that, despite its modern design, some features can feel overly complex and unintuitive—especially when navigating deeper workflows or generating more advanced reports. The system’s customization options, while powerful, can also be overwhelming and often require specialized training or support to configure properly. Additionally, response times can occasionally lag, particularly during peak usage, and making small changes isn’t always as straightforward as it should be. Overall, while the platform is robust, there can be a learning curve and occasional inefficiencies that impact the user experience.

### "Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) - A Benefit's Analysts Review"

January 30, 2026

5.0

In nearly two decades working in HR, finance, and benefits administration across both small charter schools and large municipal government, I’ve implemented and managed several HR systems from basic payroll platforms to comprehensive HRIS solutions. I’ve seen what works, what doesn’t, and what promises more than it delivers. This review draws from my direct experience using Workday HCM at the City of Tucson, where I support benefits administration, compliance tracking, and system configuration for thousands of employees and retirees. After working with Workday HCM for over two years at the City of Tucson, I can confidently say it’s a robust enterprise solution that delivers real value. In my previous role managing HR and finance for a charter school, we had separate systems for payroll, benefits, finance, and student information. Every month-end close involved manual reconciliation, data entry correction, and inevitable discrepancies. Workday eliminates that headache. The system excels at what enterprise HR platforms should do: unify data across finance and HR, automate complex processes, and provide actionable analytics. The single data model means benefits analysts like me can track enrollment changes, audit payroll deductions, and reconcile benefits vendor billing without jumping between multiple systems. The real-time reporting has been a game-changer developing timely reports, responding to ad-hoc data requests from City management, and reducing physical paperwork while increasing timeliness and accuracy of benefits enrollments and changes for employees and retirees. As a benefits analyst, the quality of Workday’s benefits module is particularly important to me. The system handles health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, FSAs, HSAs, and more—all within a single interface. Employee self-service is intuitive enough that most staff & retirees can complete their own enrollments without assistance, which dramatically reduces the administrative burden during open enrollment. In addition to the above, I particularly appreciate the audit trail capabilities. Every benefits transaction—enrollments, changes, terminations—is logged with date stamps and user information. If questions arise months or years later about who made a change and when, I can pull that history instantly. For someone who’s spent countless hours investigating data discrepancies and disputes over why a change was made and how it impacted lives from paychecks to the ability to use insurance benefits, this is a significant quality-of-life improvement. Overall, Workday’s unified data model, comprehensive benefits administration, real-time reporting, and compliance capabilities make it a powerful platform for enterprise HR operations. \*Note that this is my personal & professional review and opinion and does not constitute the official views or opinions of my current or prior employers.

Pros

\* Unified data model \* Comprehensive benefits administration \* Real-time reporting \* Ease of use for employees

Cons

\* Configuration changes require a long lead time. External consultants are a necessity for successful initial implementation.

### "Good for Associates"

April 15, 2026

5.0

Overall, a pleasant experience using workday as an associate and I would like to utilize this system at careers in the future.

Pros

This program is user friendly for both associates and managers. You are able to access your paystubs and pay rate as an associate and process payroll as a manager. HR is able to upload any important documents into a candidate's portal as well as any past work experience/certifications. Lots of organizations utilize Workday and it is seemingly good value. Not many bugs that have been noted. Customer support is helpful when making changes to your personal profile.

Cons

If there is not a stable internet connection, the app can be glitchy at times. When necessary, changes need to be made by an associate such as address or phone number, they have to go through administration which can delay this change from processing immediately.

### "WORKDAY USER PLATFORM"

April 13, 2026

5.0

OVERALL A GREAT EXPERIENCE. IT DOES MAKE ME UNEASY TO MOVE TO DIFFERENT SIGHTS TO ACCESS SOME OF MY INFORMATION

Pros

WORKDAY IS A PRODUCT THAT IS EASY TO USE AND HAS HR ALL IN ONE PLACE. IT IS EASY TO ACCESS YOUR PAYROLL INFORMATION AND GET ANY DUPLICATE PAYCHECKS YOU MAY NEED.

Cons

THE ONLY CON IS SOMETIMES BECAUSE THERE IS SO MUCH INFORMATION IN ONE PLACE IT IS EASY TO GET LOST. YOU NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHERE THE INFORMATION IS ONCE YOU HAVE MASTERED THAT YOU ARE ALL SET.

### "Easy to use system"

March 30, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Workday HCM has been positive. It’s a reliable and user-friendly system that makes it easier to manage everyday HR tasks. While there are a few areas that could be more streamlined, it generally helps improve efficiency and keeps everything organized in one place.

Pros

I like how easy Workday HCM is to use and navigate. Everything is in one place, which makes managing HR tasks much more convenient. The self-service features and real-time information also help save time and make day-to-day tasks more efficient.

Cons

Sometimes it can be a little difficult to find specific features, especially if you don’t use them often. Certain processes also feel more complicated than they need to be, and reporting can take some time to get used to.

### "An easy to use software "

June 30, 2026

4.0

My overall experience with Workday has been good in terms of navigating around it and finding what I need with ease.

Pros

What I liked most about Workday was the website and how easy it was to navigate. The side navigation works well for where it's sat, but it would make it easier if you could click the navigation rather than hover over it for the menu to appear.

Cons

What I liked least about Workday is that there are three navigation points on the page. I understand there is a lot to look through, but having them in the same place would keep it consistent and easy to use.

### "Useful and Resourceful "

March 18, 2026

4.0

Overall experience is fairly great. I would rate it from four out of five as applications can become more developed. Wasn't able to find a Salesforce integration unless I missed it but would be nice to integrate with such enterprise tools as well as CRM integrations for full panel summary of everything like Tableau does.

Pros

I really enjoy Workdays user interface. It makes the process for payroll schedule submissions and career development reviews easier and well organized. The layout is perfect for reporting and HR management.

Cons

They don't have a dark mode option, everything is so bright on screen by default. Need more user options for employees to co create task list rather permissions.

### "Powerful and Supportive, With a Learning Curve"

August 15, 2025

4.0

I’m hooked. Workday keeps me curious and growing, and I can see myself staying in my HRIS career for a long time—or even working at Workday one day. The combination of capability and support has made the journey both challenging and genuinely rewarding.

Pros

The Ask‑an‑Expert service has been a game‑changer. They don’t just set things up for you—they show you how to do it yourself. That shifted my mindset from “Can Workday do XYZ?” to “What do I need Workday to do?” The learning investment up front increases value in reusable, scalable setups. I haven't noticed many bugs and issues. If there are, it's because I missed something in the setup.

Cons

The same flexibility that makes Workday so powerful also makes it complex. There’s a real learning curve, and it takes time and patience to understand how pieces fit together. The payoff is worth it, but you should plan for that ramp‑up.

5.0

Overall my experience with Workday has been very positive. It's intuitive and the portals are designed to allow easy self-service. Also, the dashboard is very helpful.

Pros

Workday is a software suite that is unlike any other I have experienced before. It's an all-in-one application that centralizes so many business needs such as internal opportunities and positions, employee referrals, and additional company information.

Cons

Workday has so many features and functions, possibly too many. Sometimes the website/app can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate with so much content.

### "Go Workday and you'll never look back!"

November 5, 2025

5.0

I started with a Workday implementation back in 2013 and never looked back. The way Workday communicates, rolls out enhancements, and supports its users makes it easy to succeed with the platform. They genuinely listen to their customers, and seeing feedback turn into real improvements is both exciting and rewarding.

Pros

Leveraging both Workday Community and the Success Plan assistance makes analyzing bugs, fixes, and enhancements far more efficient and insightful. The platform’s intuitive interface makes it easy to support any area within Workday, since its foundation remains consistent across modules—business processes share the same core structure, objects, and instances. Everything is interconnected, which allows for a truly seamless experience when navigating and supporting the system.

Cons

There is not much I don't like about it to be totally honest. If I had to say one thing as the least would be the Benefits platform especially with reporting.
