" February 1, 2019 3.0 Overall would not be bummed if my company transitioned to Workday, would expect an increase in seamless transitions for onboarding and payroll but a slow down in recruiting - which is often times already an information overload! Pros It integrates very well with other systems, while the recruiting might be a little clunky it seemed like the generalist HR team loved having all the information and functions in one system. Cons The amount of clicks to get to where you need to go are pretty out there, I felt it could have been improved by having list options - from applicants profile maybe being able to see all the candidates and click on specific ones from that screen would be better than constantly having to go to the home screen to navigate back into a position and then back to the candidate list is a time suck! October 31, 2023 5.0 Pros I have been using workday in many jobs I have worked at. It is simple to use and fast to get into. I am able to see everything I need at the tip of my fingertips. If I need to see my benefits, payroll, tax deductions, I can log in to see everything so quick. I like that workday has its own app because with this I do not have to be at work if I am needing to access something in my free time. Pros I find the navigation to be very easy with this product. Very intuitive. Cons The only real issue that I have is that I have to wait until an employee punches out in order to enter a missing in punch.... There should be a faster and more direct way to log time off in the category you want. It's good that the hours you have remaining show up but I wish they could convert to days automatically. The performance goal part of Workday functions the best for this purpose but I've always thought the UI for entering and editing text is too small and not visibly congruent. Pros I like that you can use Workday for logging/viewing absences and filling out performance goals called PPMs in my company. It's pretty focused when it comes to logging and tracking goals and makes for a clear report for supervisors. Cons I don't like the flow of Workday and the relative extra clicks it takes to request days off. The inbox notifications don't go away after you read them either. You have to manually manage what to do with each notification; there's not even a bulk action! Our paystub info is not integrated with Workday so there are several applications you need access to in order to get a big picture. Review Source David L. Pros Ability to use as ATS as well as HR database and tie candidates to employee once hired and onboarded. Cons Inability to see candidates on Requisitions that are assigned to other recruiters / users within Workday. Cons The prompts are the bottom of the page are vague. In other words, when it says submit, I am not sure if the screen selections are final or whether I can return later to change. If you need payroll, schedules, PTO accumulation and much more this is the program for you! Pros Our company uses this software to allow associates to submit PTO, clockin and our, payroll and much more. Having this app makes it easy to track all of the time and labor on a daily basis. Everything is simplified and right there in one program. Cons The app loading could be improved it delays clock in time by 1-2mins. Also the app on your phone doesn’t allow for the correct view to see available PTO, while the desktop program is easier to manage visually. It's very fast to load and very intuitive to use. 10/10 would recommend this product Pros Workday HCM is essentially foolproof to use. Each area within the interface is clearly laid out, and it's impossible to miss notifications for when documentation is due. I especially like the way the pay portal is structured, it gives you an amazing insight into the breakdown of each paycheck and the ability to drill down withholdings, and is very simple to use for exporting pay statements. Cons The job tree feature within my own org is a little annoying to look at in Workday. It could just be my company, but I wish it was more intuitive to browse. Review Source LV Lina V. Pros:- 1. UI - the user inteface is awesome and elegant 2. Ease of use - It is extremely self explainatory. it has been very smartly differenciated into categories 3. all the details can be easily accessed and manupulated 4. Ease of editing information from phones as well 5. Availability of fetching custom reports 6. Can search for anyone in the organisation for their details and understand the hierachy of the company 7. Goals are easily commentable for managers 8. Lot of training can be included under learning Cons Cons:- Though workday has a very simple user interface some options are very difficult to find 1. Hard to edit data, difficult find the edit address and other data option, could be made little easier 2. Confusing sometimes which option is under which category if there could be a little summary under the categories on the home page that would help. 3. Less training avalable on workday 4. Pros I like Workday's very simple visualization. It allows us to easily look at your holiday / leave plans, any upcoming bank holiday / events, and make any changes if needed very easily. Cons It is a little bit difficult to check the remaining days of your leave as it shows the remaining as of that day you are selecting rather than your total remaining. New employees are able to quickly pickup how to use the system. Managers are able to leave feedback for their employees with regards to goals throughout the year as conversations and check-ins occur, instead of just waiting until the end of the year. I'm not sure how many similar products are out there but this one just works fine. As I mentioned above, UI must be improved on top of these cool features. Pros You get a bunch of features that are super useful for the companies, and having them all in a single place is pretty useful. so overall, a number of features. Cons This is the part where it gets interesting. Yes, it's a great tool, and yes we get all these cool features but how about UI? It's not really up-to-date. Sometimes it can be really hard to find how to do things, e.g how to cancel a request off-day? Another example can be given about expense reporting. Pros workday is extremely easy to use and navigate, i use this daily to clock in and out for work, complete training modules, and to track payroll slips/W2s. Cons sometimes the way the hours are set up when they are getting submitted makes it look a bit confusing but i have never had a problem with hours not being reported. Cons Sometimes it seems redundant, however, upcoming updates are solving some of these issues with increased search features and uniform keywords/terms.
