I think implementation was a bit challenging, but because we never had a system before, so we had to get used to something new. But once we did, we loved it.

Workday has most, if not, all critical features needed in managing a team but I find it hard to navigate despite manay training sessions and over 2 years experience using it

Pros

it has all the components to help manage employee performance, promotions, salary, time off..etc and I like the notifications feature which send alerts and reminders to my inbox

Cons

But it is not intuitive and the look and feel is reminiscent of early computer era. it's hard to navigate and hard to know if you have done everything right.

Workday is easy to navigate and track information across. The User Interface is extremely clean and user-friendly.

Cons

Entering new data, as a user, is cumbersome. Often it begins a repetitive workflow where information is submitted, saved, resubmitted, and saved again

Pros

Workday has a very clean cut look to it which is really nice. It's also nice to have the ability to use it as an app on your phone instead of having to be reliant on a desktop.

Cons

It does not include any shortcuts to help get where you want to go. Some of the tiles have a couple places you have to go into and it doesn't make it incredibly easy at times.

Overall, I feel like this program is not worth the money. It's wasted a lot of time for HR and our scheduler to manually enter everything following down time. The lack of ease of use for our employees has led us to switch to a new program.

Pros

Workday organizes sections by tabs. It's easy to navigate and find what you are looking for with regards to your personal information, benefits, pay, tax forms, etc.

Cons

The software is not user friendly. While it is easy to navigate between tabs and find things, it is NOT easy to enter information in these tabs. Generally, it requires contacting some form of support in order to change any information. This was a company wide problem, which is why we chose to switch to a new scheduling and business platform. Workday has frequent down times. Scheduled every Friday for about 10 hours. This requires us to manually enter in any information (clock in/clock out) that would normally be easily done in Workday. This becomes a huge hassle when you have several hundred employees. It takes HOURS. There are also frequent random down times throughout the month without warning.

I've been a recruiter for 14 years and this is the second company that I have worked for that has WD Recruiting. I thought I could give it another chance, you know, maybe it would be better than a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, it is worse!

Pros

None that I can speak of. I guess it integrates with back office systems, but don't they all. Reporting function is useless.

Cons

Workday is over-engineered, Not intuitive, obviously designed by people who have not recruited! It is confusing for applicants. Simple things like finding an applicants email address require vast navigation. I'm not sure who the people are who rated this product in this article, maybe an outsourced WD office overseas? But, this product will slow down your recruiting team with screen after screen of clicking and unnecessary work-flow. It has it's own Mailbox and notification box that will confuse you and your team even more. Training for the fortune 500 company I work for was a 200 slide deck presentation. After the training we were all just as confused. Stick with Taleo or any other system. Don't listen to people/experts who are not recruiters who think this is a good tool. Take the advice of someone who actually recruits, has used other systems and avoid this piece of crap.

Pros

WorkDay allows for you to check your paystubs, request vacation, complete training videos, and view your job details with ease. The system is intuitive and clean, it can do as little or as much as you want it to.

Cons

While Workday is a one stop shop. Sometimes it offers so many services that they can't flush them out properly... For example: requesting vacation is easy, however going forward several weeks and asking the system to calculate your future accrued time... it will not do.

I have only been using Workday for a few months. After taking all of the integration courses and starting to build integrations I am reasonably comfortable with the back end but no front end knowledge which is required to test at least the inbound integrations. Be prepared to spend days researching certain topics before coming up with answers. I recommend hiring a consultant to help in house developers learn the tools and functionality if you decide to go with Workday.

Pros

\-Basic functionality for end users is intuitive and easy to use. -Lots of options for integration with third parties -Easy to use, custom, report capability with the option to expose reports as services (RaaS). -Fairly easy to learn and use add-in for Eclipse for complicated integrations (Workday Studio).

Cons

\-Training is expensive and is basically required to do an implementation due to lack of available reference material. Recording the online training for future reference is not permitted -The workday community site is cumbersome (searches are not ranked according to relevancy and it can take many hours to find what you are looking for). Some workday studio components don't seem to be documented at all on the site. -Certain functionality and community information is only provided to "Workday Implementation partners" which makes it nearly impossible to implement in-house without paying to outsource some of the work to a workday partner. -Workday doesn't seem to have been built with performance in mind. Even with server side paging, reports and integrations are very slow. -Lots of "hidden features." This would normally be a bonus but more advanced tasks require the user to know exactly what to search for from the application's search feature. Most of the functionality of workday is hidden in search results and isn't intuitively exposed in the UI.

Awesome all-in-one HCM tool for large companies.

Pros

Hands down the most clean and friendly UI. It's so easy to find what you're looking for because Workday has each category listed on the first screen, and from there is super easy to navigate to the topic you need to know about. I like how it's an all in one place for anything I need information on: time off, compensation, goal setting, and org. structure, to name a few. I have used this software at several jobs before and it's just so easy to pick up on.

Cons

I personally haven't had any issues for the couple years I've been a user of this software. I'd highly recommend it to a larger company looking for a HCM system.

Pros

It makes our Job posting reaches many individuals. We can easily track candidate and applicant from anywhere.During interview and onboarding time candidate management is very important, using workday HCM it will be organized. Employee database is been saved and updated timely for future use.

Cons

We can easily upload data from LinkedIn, but from other social medias we face difficult to pull out all the data. We needed to do manually.

Pros

Pros

It does a great job at consolidating payslips and allowing easy access to payroll information from multiple years and paydays. It's web based and the user interface is adaptive; so it works well on mobile devices too, easy to access and can be integrated with the enteprise single sign on (SSO) infrastructure.

Cons

When a user wants to print a payslip this is automatically generated by a background process and it is not displayed immediately. Instead, the user is told that a notification will be received within their Workday UI when the file is ready for printing/download in PDF. Now the problem is that this file is dynamically generated with the same name, every time. So if you need to download all your payslips from a certain year, you'll find that you have to rename 26 different files to be able to find the right one you need later.

Pros

I love the mobile version. It is so easy to clock in and out from my phone. It is also super quick and easy to view my schedule, request time off, and to find my pay stubs.

Cons

At first it was a bit hard to find specific features.

Overall user-friendly, though a learning curve needed to become familiar with the org-centric and business process-driven design. Also, the option to submit issues and questions (and find answers!) in Workday Community.

Cons

For the average end-user, there's a definite learning curve as it stands out from many HR software platforms of today. Vendors tend to assume implementation will be similar in Workday to other platforms, but there seems to often be a learning curve for them as well.

Pros

It was great to have different features such as time tracking, and HR. If I ever had any questions regarding my payroll or if I needed any training to do. It was easy to log in and do it.

Cons

Sometimes it gave me issues when I would try to log in at home to print my W2. Other than that no other complaints.
