Pros While it took some time to get to know my way around many options Workday provides, it has lead to a great learning experience and the use of it now is easy and positive. We use it for employee management and learning center. Course ar nicely tracked and the employee is able to see all his data like compensation, vacation and carrier options. Cons Steep learning curve, but once you are up to speed it's a breze to scroll around the tool. The main page can be adjusted to everyone's need. Cons The only thing that I do not like, is that when you look for an employee it doesn't load names similar to the once you are looking for. We used to have to access different systems for different aspects of an employee porfile. Now everythiing is one place: - Payroll - Performance review - Employee vacation tracking - Job description and salary details Pros I can find everything related to my profile as an employee in one place. Whether it is information related to my salary, payroll, time off/vacation, job description. It's all managed in one application. Also, the yearly performance reviews and goals are more simple to enter and submit. Cons Some of the screens are not easy to use. The buttons are sometimes confusing. It can be very hard to login and customer service is not helpful. You must login with verification and sometimes the verification text does not arrive for hours and by then the code has expired. Pros It fosters a collaborative work environment where you can learn and grow. Workday is the most effective way to manage jobs, applicants and important issues. " December 23, 2019 5.0 Workday I am so glad it is becoming a lot more common in the industry and I love the convenience that the product provides to the consumer. It expedites the process of applying to positions on a lot of major corporations' websites. Pros I love the fact that you can upload your file onto their platform and everything is already prefilled in for you with great accuracy. Yes, other sites do offer that same kind of service but I do notice when applying the file onto the form to prefill, most other sites aren't as good in entering data in the correct fields. The interface is easy to use as well and does not take a long time to load. Cons The only thing that I don't like about the product is the fact that depending on the carrier using the product, your account may or may not be saved. Editor Publishing Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Workday is a pain for small vendors who want to be paid efficiently" October 27, 2023 2.0 I am a "vendor" for several organizations that use WorkDay to pay independent contractors (and full-time staff, I presume). I was excited to have a central interface where I could follow payments from several clients. I have found that this interface is hard to navigate and raises more questions than answers. Pros Ability to see invoices and their scheduled payments from multiple clients in one place. Cons Lack of transparency and lack of ability to see all invoices that have been submitted. For example, I have submitted multiple invoices (around 8) for one client and can only see 4. It's difficult to match the ones that appear in Workday to my own invoices. It's not clear when the payment will be processed. Not sure if this was a Workday issue, but I had updated my address across all fields and checks kept being sent to my old address. It just seems like there are way more issues than one would expect using a software like this, and it's awful to have to rely on such an unreliable system to get paid. Review Source AR Allyson R. Our majority of payroll and leave/absence management is done via Workday. The approval chain is easy and quick to follow! Cons The UI is very old school! While modern applications are taking the intuitive route, Workday is still in the ERP design era. Maybe a little more flexibility and better UI screen/controls could add some more magic. I am on it daily to add my hours and check my paystubs. I can easily update my direct deposit and personal information as well. Pros The company I work for uses Workday to time keeping, payroll, and paperwork. each day I input my hours that I worked. It totals it up so I can easily see what I worked each day. When it is payday I can log in to see my paychecks and print them out if I need to. Cons I do not find any issues with the software. I am able to input my schedule each day. It is easy to make adjustments if I need to. The only downside is I do not see my paycheck information until payday. It would be nice to see it before so I have an idea of what I am getting.
