At our organization we use workday for benefits, performance and time management. Its one place solution for all, every year we need to enroll in benefits, process is very simple in Workday compare to earlier tools we used. User have ability to get alerts and notification on changes in benefits which makes it advance compare to other tools.

Pros

Easy to Use Detailed functionality All solutions at one place Easy Goals management and benefits enrollment process.

Cons

New GUI is not that friendly compare to earlier version.

Pros

Cons

I like how the most important features people generally care about such as payroll and direct deposits are so easily available and easy to understand on there

Cons

I really don’t like the general design of the software page. As a user I think the page is very ugly and all the spaces are not well utilized

Workday payroll encourages employees to take action on their own instead of relying on HR to answer all questions or take all actions related to payroll.

Pros

I like that Workday was created in such a way that employees can be more autonomous in finding information related to payroll. Additionally, employees can make modifications to their withholdings and other payroll functions without the need to ask members of the HR team, so people are left with more time to do more important things.

Cons

There is nothing I dislike about Workday, but it is cloud based which means that you have to have internet to access any information on Workday. It would be great if some information was available offline.

### "Great Tool for Managing Time and Pay"

I love workday and I think it's a great tool for tracking employees and applicants. It's easy to switch them to employees.

Pros

I really like Workday. It was great since I could manage my time cards as well as my paystubs. I could easily track PTO and project how much PTO I would have a later date. HR could send me announcements, notifications and assignments to complete as new open items came up. What I really liked was also being able to look up coworkers and see what department they worked in, what team they were on and who their supervisors were. There was a tree of our entire organization mapped out so it was easy for me to go back and see exactly who it was I was emailing or corresponding with.

Cons

It was a little challenging trying to figure out some of the features such as dividing my direct deposit between two different accounts. I had to use youtube videos to see how it was done correctly. Simple process just not easily spelled out.

Pros

Workday is an essential software for all employees. It manages basically every aspect of your work life from schedules, to time off, pay, and benefits. It makes all this information easy to access and thus helps you stay informed about everything to do with work.

Cons

The software may show apps that your company does not use, this can get a little annoying because they appear on your dashboard, but serve no purpose.

Pros

I love that it is so user friendly. I am able to submit time off requests, expense reports, and hours all in the same week. I get to see the process of my expense report approvals every step of the way. I can see the balances of sick, vacation, and holiday time before I request time off.

Cons

The only time I ever had a problem was when my manager left her position. My expense report got stuck waiting for her approval, but I brought that to her boss's attention and it was immediately rectified. If I didn't have workday, I might now have known where to go to get it fixed.

I can access everything job related in one place. I use it everyday and I never have to ask anyone for help, because it's so easy to navigate.

Pros

All of the links are big clean icons which are organized in a way that makes it super easy to find what your looking for. We keep a lot of information in this software, so I can go back and see my hiring interview and resume that I used to apply for my job. I can also find my paychecks and w2s. I can choose how and when I get paid; for instance I can choose how often I want a percentage of one of my checks to go to another bank account. I like being able to do this stuff myself instead of calling around to find the right department and bug them to do it for me.

Cons

For some reason we don't use it as our time clock, I don't know if that's an option for anyone, but it feels like it would be a better fit than the time clock system we currently use. Plus, with all of my other job information already there, it seems like it would be a natural fit.

My overall experience with workday is positive. Its a great software for what I use it for. The issue I have with workday, stated in previous field, is a minor inconvenience.

Pros

I liked a lot that everything I need regarding scheduling, time, tax, and payroll were found all in one place. I am sure there is a lot more to Workday than that but this is the only portion that concerns me.

Cons

The app is pretty buggy. I like having the ability to sign into the app to access my time sheets incase I forgot to submit my time for the pay period. However, the times don't save correctly on the phone. I will write in say 5 hours for Monday and hit check. The 5 hours for Monday wont load so I do it again and it then loads. this happens everyday I try to enter my time for those days. Once I submit it will only show what was loaded on the little schedule screen. Then a week or so later I get an email from HR asking about these extra hours which I have to explain as an app error. Another thing is I am unable to enable to cookies to login easier.

From a payroll perspective, I don't like that you are essentially 'on your own' without an account manager.

Pros

How accurately the system tracked employee time punches when clocking in and out.

Cons

In my opinion, workday had a few glitches that can be worked out. For example, missed punches, or punching in to soon should be flagged at the time of punching not later when it is time for payroll.

Overall the application is very good. It has consolidated recruiting and other HR activities of the company.

Pros

It has lot of features from recruiting to other HR management activities. I use it in my company for performance evaluation, elearning, recruiting, payroll etc. It is a very effective tool and my company is giving it a very good feedback. It has definitely chanellized all HR activities in 1 tool.

Cons

The user interface sometimes feel clutery. Like while recruiting the applicant should not be asked to login each time. The interface does not fit appropriately while accessing application on different platforms and machines.

An excellent platform for tracking employees and developing a globally manageable company structure.

Pros

The reports we need to run and easy and quick, and the supported hierarchies allow for easy tracking and global workforce management. Our key LMS and CRM softwares integrate flawlessly, allowing for pinpoint reporting and actual time data capture. The graphics and user experience are excellent.

Cons

It can be slow and difficult when accessing from phones/tablets. Our field service techs and sales reps often report issues when working abroad. This may have more to do with their connection/service issues, however it is still a headache I thought worth mentioning.

This is the best software I have used as a recruiter. I absolutly loved the software, it has the best reportings and it can be completely customized to your company needs.

Cons

The only negative point I could mention is the cost and time effort for the implementation of the software within the company. However, I would say it is completely worthy as it is one of the best HRIS I have ever used at the moment.

Workday HCM helps my company communicate with employees in regard to HR issues, and helps individual employees stay aware and in control of their benefits and PTO. It's way better than our previous system, even though it's not perfect.

Pros

My company uses Workday to organize our HR and recruiting functions. I like that I can easily request PTO, see my team's vacation calendar, submit referrals, set professional goals, and take care of all my salary related needs. Everything is in one easily managed place, and streamlines my work-life very well.

Cons

I don't love the interface. It's not as delightful or slick as some of the other software I use, and feels very business-like. Which I suppose is fine, because it's a business function, but still. I also wish the applications were grouped in a way that felt more user-friendly (like, pay related in area, PTO and benefits in another, goals and referrals in a third), rather than being all together in the sidebar.

Workday Benefits is extremely easy to use. All the pertinent information that you want to access concerning payslips, logging hours, benefits, etc., is right at your fingertips. I am in workday every day checking on something and it rarely slows down my day.

Cons

It would be nice if they gave it a facelift graphically, but a more appealing design wouldn't necessarily impact its quality one way or the other.

Pros

Workday makes it possible to do side-by-side comparisons of benefits and their coverage and costs so it helps our users in deciding which one will suit their needs best. It displays all the benefits that the company offers such as 401k, medical and dental in a clear and easily understandable format. It allows our company to deliver a large amount of information to our employees at their most convenient time so we can make sure they keep themselves informed without it taking too much of our HR resources. Third party system integrations were a breeze with excellent results in the delivered packaged integration.

Cons

It can feel a bit intimidating at first so we made sure proper training, leadership and resources were available internally so our employees did not have a hard time adapting to the system. Once they have though, feedback has been largely positive and any hiccups were easily addressed.

Workday Benefits is overall a great solution for centralizing benefit information. Customer service is very helpful whenever issues arise, which is rare.

Pros

Workday is easy to use, which is its best feature. Everything is centralized in one place - W2s, 401k information, time off requests, staff directory, etc. From an employee standpoint, it is fantastic to have everything readily available and not toggle between internal sites and intranets.

Cons

While mostly intuitive, a few functions seem mis-categorized - i.e. "Time" and "Absences" are separate, whereas it makes more sense to either put them together in one category, or create two categories that are more clearly named. In addition, it needs to be easier for employers to remove functions that do not apply to their organization.

Pros

I recently worked with a client to switch their ATS over to Workday. We spent a week testing and learning about the system from a Workday representative. I feel like Workday keeps requisitions quite organized and also streamlines the approval process for new job requisitions. It allows hiring managers to initiate the recruitment process and ensure that HR is putting through the appropriate approvals along the way. It's also nice that you can create offer letters within Workday once an offer has gone out. I may not use this if I was recruiting for a small organization (it's expensive and there's more intuitive options out there), but do see the value for a large enterprise.

Cons

The user interface could be a lot better - I think they could re-make it to have recruiters in mind. I feel like it is difficult to see the workflow in Workday compared to other applicant tracking systems I have used.
