Pros The reports we need to run and easy and quick, and the supported hierarchies allow for easy tracking and global workforce management. Our key LMS and CRM softwares integrate flawlessly, allowing for pinpoint reporting and actual time data capture. The graphics and user experience are excellent. Cons It can be slow and difficult when accessing from phones/tablets. Our field service techs and sales reps often report issues when working abroad. This may have more to do with their connection/service issues, however it is still a headache I thought worth mentioning. I absolutly loved the software, it has the best reportings and it can be completely customized to your company needs. Cons The only negative point I could mention is the cost and time effort for the implementation of the software within the company. However, I would say it is completely worthy as it is one of the best HRIS I have ever used at the moment. It's way better than our previous system, even though it's not perfect. Pros My company uses Workday to organize our HR and recruiting functions. I like that I can easily request PTO, see my team's vacation calendar, submit referrals, set professional goals, and take care of all my salary related needs. Everything is in one easily managed place, and streamlines my work-life very well. Cons I don't love the interface. It's not as delightful or slick as some of the other software I use, and feels very business-like. Which I suppose is fine, because it's a business function, but still. I also wish the applications were grouped in a way that felt more user-friendly (like, pay related in area, PTO and benefits in another, goals and referrals in a third), rather than being all together in the sidebar. All the pertinent information that you want to access concerning payslips, logging hours, benefits, etc., is right at your fingertips. I am in workday every day checking on something and it rarely slows down my day. August 2, 2018 4.0 Pros Workday makes it possible to do side-by-side comparisons of benefits and their coverage and costs so it helps our users in deciding which one will suit their needs best. It displays all the benefits that the company offers such as 401k, medical and dental in a clear and easily understandable format. It allows our company to deliver a large amount of information to our employees at their most convenient time so we can make sure they keep themselves informed without it taking too much of our HR resources. Third party system integrations were a breeze with excellent results in the delivered packaged integration. Cons It can feel a bit intimidating at first so we made sure proper training, leadership and resources were available internally so our employees did not have a hard time adapting to the system. Once they have though, feedback has been largely positive and any hiccups were easily addressed. Customer service is very helpful whenever issues arise, which is rare. Pros Workday is easy to use, which is its best feature. Everything is centralized in one place - W2s, 401k information, time off requests, staff directory, etc. From an employee standpoint, it is fantastic to have everything readily available and not toggle between internal sites and intranets. Cons While mostly intuitive, a few functions seem mis-categorized - i.e. "Time" and "Absences" are separate, whereas it makes more sense to either put them together in one category, or create two categories that are more clearly named. In addition, it needs to be easier for employers to remove functions that do not apply to their organization. We spent a week testing and learning about the system from a Workday representative. I feel like Workday keeps requisitions quite organized and also streamlines the approval process for new job requisitions. It allows hiring managers to initiate the recruitment process and ensure that HR is putting through the appropriate approvals along the way. It's also nice that you can create offer letters within Workday once an offer has gone out. I may not use this if I was recruiting for a small organization (it's expensive and there's more intuitive options out there), but do see the value for a large enterprise. Cons The user interface could be a lot better - I think they could re-make it to have recruiters in mind. I feel like it is difficult to see the workflow in Workday compared to other applicant tracking systems I have used. Overall, the system is really nice and easy to use for a variety of HR tasks and integrated well with the other side of Workday. Very user-friendly unlike our old system. It's use is widespread and it's features are robust. Pros I like that allows applicants to pull in data from a past application, from a resume, or from LinkedIn. This saves time and reduces friction. I've never missed a paycheck and haven't experienced any issues. Pros I'm writing this from the perspective of a user who enters time with Workday Payroll in order to get paid. As a junior copywriter, I had to enter my hours weekly with this program. It was easy to highlight my hours from 9-5 and submit them to my supervisor. I never experienced any glitchiness with my hours not being submitted or not being paid. That reliability is the most important thing when it comes to payroll. Cons Though I never had problems submitting my hours, the system would occasionally act a little glitchy when entering hours. My company just started to allow expense reports to be done from workday, which makes it so much easier to track my expenses and make sure I get paid back quickly. Pros It's nice to have all of my HR needs in one software solution. With Workday I can see everything that my company's HR has to offer. I can check my paystub, make changes to my benefits, read & sign off on the company handbook & many other activities. I like how I can quickly see the organization chart and know where I fall in line with the company & my manager and how the ladder is set up. Cons I like the computer/desktop version very much but I wish the moblie version would have all the same features too. I don't like how I can't review my paystub from mobile. " May 24, 2018 5.0 I feel like worday is a great program to use. Especially if you have a large business and you want to deliver a wealth of information to all of your employees at their convenience vs. a time you want to select. The platform can also allow for users to access it from their own home PC's so they can truly do what they need to on their own time. As an employee, I felt like that was a great feature. Pros I used workday benefits for over 7 years with a property management company that I worked for. Each year we would log into workday to view the current benefits available and choose which benefits worked best for our needs and our families, if any. IT was super easy to use. They would show you on workday side by side what benefits provided which coverages, and at what costs. You could even use a comparison to see which benefits were going to work best. It also showed all the different types of benefits the company offered such as medical, dental, 401k, LTD, STD, vision and what not. It was very clear what you were selecting and you had to double and triple confirm which benefits you selected. Also, once open enrollment was closed, there was a way, where if you had a qualifying life event, you could change your benefits. It was a very easy, straight forward program for us to use. Cons Sometimes while using the software, it would "hiccup" when switching between coverages and I would have to re log in and get to where I was. It was truly a mild issue which wasn't frustrating. This also my have had a LOT to do with the internet I was using and not the actual program itself...
