Pros The HR Database area is compiled well and onboarding is relatively easy once a candidate has been hired. Can be a little difficult getting into the system for some reason but once in you are gold. I have clients who use Workday and require us to submit candidates via the system. Cons More cons that pros, I'm afraid. The training was long, extensive and confusing. Nothing really seemed easy. You pay $ for everything....an email, a submission, etc. I think it's a very expensive product. It takes the guessing game out of the picture Cons There are a lot of clicks involved to get to certain places. It might not be that easy to use for someone who isn't technically savvy. I really like how you can track so much HR related information in one place. It makes my life efficient. Pros The biggest pro of Workday is how options that are available to front line managers like me. It stores everything from Performance Documents, time off information, and salary guidelines all in one place. Cons I still struggle with finding the most effective reports to use. Cons There are some instances where I wish it didn't look as sleek and instead displayed more info in the app. You have to separately download paystubs to see all of your pay info, for instance, so you can't stay in the same app/window for that. Cons Even though the UI is clean, there's some instances where I'll be trying to find a certain page, form, or piece of information and it isn't in an intuitive spot so you can waste alot of time trying to find one thing. The best thing about Workday Recruiting is that you can't mess up. If you haven't put something in correctly it won't let you move forward and/or it will give you an explanation as to what's wrong or incorrect prior to allowing you to submit it. The candidates that apply are all in one section and you can easily move them forward in the process. Cons It's a little time consuming at first to adjust to a new software, and there are different parameters than the other system we used in the past. March 5, 2017 4.0 Inadequate training, lack of internal SME resources, and an absence of a true guided vision/direction by leadership will result in an expensive and poorly received system. As such, an organization will be reliant on implementation partners or independents as consultants, supporting or re-implementing a failed system, which will be even more expensive. Pros Workday is leading edge technology and highly configurable.The UI is best in class. Integrations with most 3rd party systems are easy to configure and the delivered packaged integrations are superb. Cons An organization needs to ensure proper internal support for the system to function smoothly. Training and user adoption/communication is also key for acceptance.
