I find the HR-related information I need on the platform. Pros I can find HR related information on such as my vacation balance, paycheck statements and tax documents. Able to get help any time you need. Easily able to pull reports and make sure documentation is correct and up to date. The first 3 as an HR Specialist and the last 3 as an HRIS Analyst configuring the system for our HR team. Pros makes HR tasks so much easier — I love how everything’s in one place and the interface is really intuitive. The self-service features save a ton of time, and the mobile app makes it easy to check pay or request time off anytime. Cons One thing I wish were better is how sometimes navigation feels a bit unintuitive in — simple tasks like finding the right leave field or switching between views can take more clicks than I’d expect. Pros I liked how it gave supervisors options to check in with subordinates and in general their timekeeping systems. Similar to ADP, but maybe a little heavier on active use, rather than set it and forget like ADP. Cons More difficult to find features as an end user. Einmal eingegebene Texte und Daten muss man JEDESMAL erneut eingeben. Cons Man muss jedes Mal, trotz identischer Login Credentials, den gesamten Lebenslauf erneut eintippen. Workday merkt sich nichts. Und erst recht kann Workday Lebensläufe nicht extrahieren. Schonmal an AI gedacht? Keinerlei Enduser-Support. Das strotzt vor Arroganz (Wir sind ja sooooo toll!) Pros It works better than other products I’ve used in the past; most recently WorkForce Management, which was not a very user friendly product. Cons Sometimes the mobile version feels a bit clunky and it's hard to find the right "tabs" when you don't exactly know where to find the information. March 23, 2025 4.0 Overall, Workday is great for companies and big and small. And because it is being used so vastly there's always an answer to any troubleshooting issues. Pros What I like the most about this Workday is it's self service option where employees can manage their information and have easy access to their pay statements and direct deposit information. We were able to eliminate 11 platforms and have all of those functions in one. Pros The recruitment process can be initiated through HCM, collect and screen applications, interview, hire, and allow employees to have there own portal for self-service. Cons Customizable features and options that are specific to our organization can not be configured. Workday is good for basic processes, but when it comes to policies and regulations some features can not be added. Leaving us to complete processes manually. In some cases it was only benefits, and it was satisfactory. When it was the entire HCM system, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Management, Applicant Management, I did find the experience to be better than when the product was silo'd across different needs, and integrates were required with other Vendors. It seems to work best when it's the Sole HCM Platform, and I believe is specifically designed as such. Pros Workday did work well across a very large organization for needs like Payroll, Benefits Tracking, Benefits Enrollment, Performance Reviews and more. It's best fit for very large or complex organizations, and organizationally, is pretty prohibitive from smaller/mid sized companies from truly adapting and taking advantage. Cons The User Experience. it's very clunky and hard to navigate. As a user, there was difficulty even accessing the platform at points, which created uncertainty and frustrations. Depending on your need, if you use this platform for things like performance reviews, and benefits enrollment, it works well, but as a UI, is inferior to other companies/HCM management systems that allow for a more friendly experience. Since that's an important part of an HCM management system, I'd love to see improvements. Switched from [ADP Workforce Now](https://www.capterra.com/p/155895/WorkforceNow/) Cost primarily. ADP is the market leader for a reason, but at a per employee cost, provided a very very expensive line item to consider. Workday provided more flexibility. Review Source ES Eddy S. Also, I feel it has limited customization option. Pros The thing I like about workday is that it provides a variety of options for all HR related services in an organization and the language the platform uses is simple and easy to understand. I also provides tutorials for any operation(for the ones which need one). Also, it provides the option to integrate with a large number of other applications. Cons It is highly configurable, which is in advantage for ensuring the tool is flexible for multiple industries; however, you really need to have super users or contract out development. Cons There are slight challenges with trying to find out all the information I may need when a problem arises. Something as simple as replacing my profile photo can take a few tries before getting it correct.
