Accessing and editing w-2 info is user friendly. Overall interface is not complicated or difficult to learn. Cons Reporting time is frustrating for many users at first. Needing to clock "in" to a meal time and then back "in" for regular time seems and is confusing. All said - it takes a bit for new employees to learn. It is so much easier to understand and the navigation is very simple. Pros It is so easy to navagate, use and understand. It takes a lot of the manual work out of the job. It can make calculations for international payrolls It can do retro calculations. Cons Certain things such as an unsupported event and a supported event cause manual work. There is an absence module separate from time. When there is a request for an absence, this still can come thru during the payroll processing, even when you run time. that comes through even when you lock the payroll. That affects payroll. Workday is a major tool that we use for employee goal setting, and I like how it is very intuitive to use when adding and modifying career goals. It is easy to identify our progress toward our goals, since there is a drop-down menu to select which state our goal is in. Cons It is difficult to add any extra notes such as your accomplishments or the specific tasks that you have done to accomplish your goal. The only way we can do this is by adding it in the comment section of the career goal. However, if you add any additional details through this method, you cannot see at a glance what you have written. You have to click on the comment icon to see your notes, which is very unintuitive. March 12, 2018 4.0 Pros I love love love the WorkDay app. I use it to clock in and out everyday, as well as submit my weekly time card. It is easy and clear to use. Being able to look up my payslips by date, download and export them is especially helpful. It's also super easy to request and track your time off and sick time. Cons There are certain things that are only available to managers. For example, if time has already been submitted, you as an employee can not go in and adjust that time. This is especially frustrating when you just need to correct a simple mistake (you entered check in time as "PM" rather than "AM"). Pros Workday is a very practical tool for recruiting and I like that it is specific to recruiting. Unlike other programs that could have many different uses, workday recruiting uses terminology specific to recruiting and operates as such with the recruiting lifecycle. Cons Workday is very slow! It could be that I work with hundreds of recruiters in my company that utilize this tool, but because there are so many steps to the process, I can see how that can also cause a delayed effect as well.
