It's not my favorite HR program, but its fine. Pros Companies need a way to manage their HR and payroll information and get people paid. Mine uses Workday to track hours, collect tax form and bank account information, and log pay stubs. One nice feature is two-factor authentication for added security. Cons The program is clunky. Keeping track of hourly work can be a headache, so it works better for salaried positions. Be prepared for a lot of steps and emails, particularly during onboarding. Review Source AB Alvina B. We have 24/7 access to our HR data thanks to Workday's cloud-based technology. Because of this, we have been able to work remotely and smoothly maintain business continuity during the COVID-19 epidemic. Cons What I least like about it is its poor customer assistance. We haven't had the best experiences with Workday's customer assistance. It is easy for the applicants as well since they have an account and it links to their personal email to send all correspondence. Cons It can take longer if all individual approvers do not respond quickly. There can be man steps to achieve the same result as walking a document to each person. Cons I think the GUI is good enough but it can be enhanced more. I would no recommend it. Pros The product is intuitive, doesnt take long to be able to navigate around the tool. As a manage of people, I was quickly able to see the information I needed. Cons As a job seeker, it is appaling - it asks you to drag and drop your CV on the first page of the application, but never - and I have used the tool with no less than 10 times - pulls in the right information. A lot of employees will even quit a job if they feel they're not being thanked or recognized for their contributions. This is a great way for employees to say, "Hey, I worked extra hard on so and so and this is what I did to make the project successful." It boosts morale, generally speaking. Cons There are SO many features that this software can take a good bit of time to learn. They are also expensive and use a ticketing customer service model so you can't just pick up the phone and call when you have an issue. Once you do put in a ticket it is a 24-72 hour turnaround before they even call back. They also charge by the hour for the service. If you want to make any changes to it, you have to be able to code at a certain level and then again, they charge you for everything. Including setting up Open Enrollment for Benefits to setting up Performance Management. Pros Once it is up and running it is sophisticated. November 17, 2017 5.0 I use it almost all the time so I always know exactly what's going on when it comes to my payroll or time cards. Pros It's easy to use and it's so easy to navigate through the mobile site. It's so beneficial to be able to check my time card and look at my payroll information in the palm of my hands. Cons I don't like that I have to use my token app just to gain access to the site that links to my work account for payroll purposes. Not sure if it's maybe because of my company or if it's something that everyone has to do. Nonetheless it's inconvenient when I'm in a rush. I would occasionally forget to do that in the office and it was really nice to be able too do it from my phone Pros I like the design of the website and the ease of use. I also really liked the mobile app. That came in handy whenever I would forget to log my hours while at work and ensured I was paid on time. Cons I don't have any cons for this app. I truly loved everything about it from the design of the website and mobile app to the ease of use in entering your hours and days worked. Pros Payroll and benefits are easy to view and verify on this portal and it makes it easy to manage the pay slips.
