I prefer it to traditional paperwork because you can see exactly what information your employer has and if there is anything you still need to submit. Pros This software is a one stop place to check to see if you are missing any important personal paperwork for your job. It is also used to clock in and clock out of work everyday. Cons The software is a little buggy. Sometimes after completing a task, it would still show up in my inbox. I would have to reload the page or sometimes log out and log back in to make it go away. It's easy to use and makes enrolling for benefits quick and easy. Pros I like making my benefit elections online during open enrollment. It's easy to go through and quickly make your selections. I like how the main page with show the current cost of your monthly benefits. It's also easy to add dependents or beneficiaries and make changes. Cons No cons to report at this time. I've had no issues with the software. It's easy to use and fairly user friendly. If I don't know how to do something I'll just call my HR team and they will walk me though what I need to do. Moved from an SAP based HR management system that was difficult to configure and required repeated employee training. The guided workflows are key to the product. Pros Coming from an SAP based HR management system WorkDay is a breath of fresh air. The UI and guided workflows make tasks much easier. The ability to configure workflows and notifications are extremely useful for both simple and complex tasks. Cons At times it can be difficult to find specific information if you haven't received a notification for it. Also, we have implemented the org chart feature and not being able to export a printable version (that I know of) has been an issue. Review Source DP Doug P. Employees are able to view their benefits, make changes and updates from a computer, tablet or the mobile app. This makes it much friendlier to use and available on platforms that are most comfortable for an end user. Pros The ease of navigating through the site. I'm able to find what I am looking for that pertains to my personal situation, with ease. The interface is intuitive and allows even novice users to find what they are needing. Cons As with most of what I have seen of Workday, there are times when you cannot get to a previous page or to the home page without clicking the logo. Other than that, I've not had much in the way of negative experiences within Workday. It’s nice that managers get involved in the HR processes. Also employees can manage their personal information. Cons Managers often call HR because they think it’s complicated how the system works. What truly stands out is the mobile app's incredible ease of use and accessibility. It makes managing my work life so much smoother. I absolutely love how effortless it is to add, review, edit, and submit expense reports while I'm on the go. Plus, having instant access to view and review my paychecks directly within the app is incredibly convenient. My only minor suggestion would be for the "Most Used Apps" section on the home screen to actually reflect my real usage, like putting Expenses and Pay right at the top. Despite that small tweak, Workday is an indispensable tool. Pros What I really love about Workday, and what sets it apart, is just how easy and accessible its mobile app is for expense reports and paycheck access. Adding, reviewing, editing, and submitting expenses and expense reports right from my phone is incredibly convenient. While the expense occurs, I can just snap a picture of the receipt (or upload an attachment), fill in the details, and save it to the report. No more having to spend an hour after the trip trying to remember what all expenses I incurred. Secondly, there's the paycheck access. Being able to view and review my paychecks directly in the app whenever I need to is super helpful. Cons What I like least about Workday is honestly the "Most Used Apps" section on the app home screen. It's a bit baffling because, even though I use the mobile app all the time for things like expense reports and viewing my pay, those have never been in my top three, and I cannot customize what shows up there. Instead, I always see "Time Tracking," "Absence," and "Org Chart" listed, which I have never used. It would be so much more helpful and intuitive if that section actually reflected my real usage, so my go-to "Expense Reports" and "Pay" were always front and center. It just feels like a missed opportunity for true personalization and efficiency.
