You could manage candidates and have them apply, converting from candidate to hire was easier if you use the whole of Workday Cons The software always seemed like it can do more, compared to other ATS' on the market Workday was not as versatile when it came to managing candidates/reqs. However navigating the different views and unraveling the different levels of data provided has been a challenge. Pros This was extremely useful in showing performance management data and metrics for the organization. The tool helped us visualize data at different levels with different parameters for the organization. Good flexibility and fairly easy to use. The daily task reminders surely helped. Cons Missed the auto save feature while working. Lost a considerable amount of work and learnt it the hard way. UI and design seems slightly outdated. Could surely use a revamp. Printing documents directly, hiding certain parameters was a challenge. Pros Easy to use for writing performance review and well as for the employee. Automatically populates self-input from employee and prints performance review and input on one page. Cons Slight learning curve, but once you learn it, it is easy to use. Once reviews are submitted, you no longer have access. It's a somewhat easy platform to use. Cons Certain items could be easier to find. Sometimes, you have to dig several layers deep to find what you're looking for. Pros I have only used this software as a user/applicant, not as an administrator. It is by far the easiest ATS I have experienced. As a job seeker, any time I see that a company uses Workday as their ATS I feel a sense of relief because I know the application process will be easy and seamless. The software is able to scrape my information from the resume and insert it into the fields correctly. Other ATS systems often scramble up the information, no matter how I format my resume. Marketing Management Consulting Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Logging Time and Expenses in Workday is Quick and Efficient" March 19, 2019 5.0 We use Workday to log time, expenses, update addresses or contact information, view benefits, make changes to 401k, etc. Pros As a professional services company, the time and expenses we log are crucial to keep track of and have real-time visibility to. Workday does just this, and has a very user-friendly interface- the software makes it fun! Cons I haven't noticed any issues with so far- we also have Workday Learning and a variety of other Workday functionality, so I suppose with just HCM you might not have as many capabilities. Easy to use, intuitive and does the job well. Would definitely recommend! Pros Workday is incredibly user friendly. Even after logging in for the first time, I had no issues finding exactly what I needed quickly. The layout makes sense and you can tell it was designed with human nature in mind. Cons I can't think of anything that I particularly dislike about Workday. I've never had any personal issues with it, although compare to some coworkers I only use it 1-2 times per week. I utilize our job posting system regularly to keep aware of opportunities. Pros The ease in which I can browse, search and find related positions and openings is key. The organization of the tool is excellent. Having all the related information at my fingertips for any given posting. Cons On initial use, the UX flow is a tad counterintuitive, but once you’ve been in the system with any regularity that ceases to be a major issue. Pros Workday is a software that keeps all of your important work-related information and data in one location. It is effective in being a "one stop shop" when looking for time off data, pay stubs, etc. Cons When looking at pay stubs, you must first download them to your email before they are available to view within Workday. It seems like an additional unnecessary step. Cons Its screen layouts and navigation can be confusing or frustrating, not being able to go 'Back' without having to re-expand the various collapsed component listings. It has empowered users and given them control over their data. It has been a very positive experience. Pros Coming from a mainframe environment this application is light-years ahead. This is really a self-service application allowing for easy and rapid reporting without relying on designated report writers.
