I like having access to HR resources from my phone. Pros Workday allows me to request time off, view payslips and benefits information and update my employee profile information remotely. I am able to update my contact information, direct deposit and pay preferences and tax information without filling out time consuming paperwork in HR. Cons I wish that workday included my schedules. It’s inconvenient to have to use a separate app for viewing my schedule. The calendar view is also a great feature in that you can quickly see what time off you have booked. The app is also user friendly. Vacation balances taken and left is a handy tool. I have connected other calendars so that any appointments will show automatically in workday. Cons I know my employer is working on a download for our existing software to automatically book in workday, this will be a timesaver as right now we are having to book in both places Review Source jM john M. Pros We recently transitioned to the software from SAP/Oracle and the modern interface was well received, with it being easy to identify the key areas, including compensation, bonus and payslips. I always had questions and was contacting customer support more than I would have liked. This really is not a complicated program. Very happy with it so far! Pros My company recently transitioned to this program from a different system. I am very happy with the change. This program really eliminates the guess work and more importantly, extremely easy to navigate! Cons I really have no complaints so far, I am very new to the system. However, for a beginner I feel like its easy enough to navigate! AS a candidate, I was especially pleased with the emails I was sent regarding my status - even when it wasn't good news. Much better than just never hearing from the hiring manager again! Pros Keeps the candidates up to date on where they are in the process without having to reach out to each one individually Cons No complaints! I didn't administer the software, but the features I used didn't need improvement. The entering of time worked and time off is very intuitive and easy. The quicklinks to all the different features are useful for easy navigation. The historical data such as past payroll checks is also very useful. Cons Training can be very time intensive as it takes time for users to get used to the system. But once the users are trained well it is very intuitive system for the end users. The process of performance review can be tedious as each change requires upper management approval. Pros I like the color of the interface and the fact that you can see associates' pictures. Cons The Workday application isn't simplistic at all. The interface loads in a table making it so that you have to use the scroll bar to see all of the employees info on a 29 inch monitor. Why is this? The data is duplicated and some of the information can be consolidated onto one screen or tabs. Setting goals and tracking your performance against them is very easy. The UI is extremely clean and pleasant to look at. A big upgrade from the system my company previously used. Cons I honestly cannot think of any cons for this software. It has never caused me any headache. I have heard from my higher-ups that it is expensive, but I do not know the pricing details. Other than that the tool is pretty difficult to manage as a user. Cons The platform is really confusing. For instance your holidays are represented by hour instead of days so you have to be the one calculating how many hours equals the amount of days you want off. Also for the feedback section is confusing because you don't know if the manager of this person will see the feedback or not if you submit this directly in there. May be a bit of a change coming from a legacy system, though. Fast, responsive, and it's great that the employee can update his/her file himself. Great place for employees to manage/view their vacation days and scheduled time off. Cons A tad expensive. You can put in any date and it accounts for how much time you have requested and how much you will accrue in the future to help you manage your PTO. Cons Sometimes it take a few extra steps then should be needed to review an item or topic. You have to click into an item and then click into it again before it pulls up the information you need.
