Pros For the most part, Workday is easy to use and looks like it has a bunch of features. As an individual contributor, these features aren't realized for me, but I can see how they would be helpful. Regardless, it is very easy to log goals and set PTO. Cons Some pieces of the software can be not intuitive like editing goals and saving. Pros The Workday server can process very large amounts of data containing information for employees and sensible data is very well protected. Cons It's not an easy platform to get used to. You need to be very picky and precise about the format the data is being uploaded so the server don't mess them up. It works well for this. Pros I like how it has my benefits and hours worked. I also like that it reminds me of my employees’ birthdays. I wish it had a way for my employees to swap shifts and chat with each other. Cons I wish it had a chat feature and an integrated method for my employees to swap shifts. Maybe it does and I don’t know how to find it. I love the simple tasks-to-be-done feature, time tracking, personal details, org charts, etc. are all easily accessible. I have never had a reliability issue with Workday. Cons I wish there was a way to auto-load hours for hourly employees so that I don't have to go in week-by-week and fill in my hours, given that my hours each week will be the same. Unfortunately the leaders thought that going with a noname system was better. I disagree. Cons I have no cons about the workday system. Pros I was able to easily maneuver my way around Workday to find my hours and paystub. Visually appealing. March 28, 2018 4.0 We used Work Day to manage all of our payroll, employee benefits etc. It was an easy interface to have access to all of your work related information in regards to benefits and pay. Pros It is visually set up in a way that makes it very easy to navigate. You can find all of the information you need very easily. I did not have an experience with the customer support portion of the program. I am also not aware of the cost, to know if it is of good value, but overall is a good product. I am able to update my withholdings etc in this new platform and before I had to reach out to payroll myself to update this. I can check my hours for the month and confirm that they are correct, ask for time off, look for job opportunities etc. Cons Not able to do referral of an employee for a specific position that is open for recruitment. Pros Ease of use and the quality look of the whole software--Simplistic looks allow for ease of use but these layouts and scheme are exactly what is needed for any person to use and understand the product. I highly appreciate how easy it is for employees to have a part in viewing/changing their own benefits, beneficiaries, and dependents. Cons The only suggestion I would make is to increase the height of the viewing boxes. Currently, they are cut off directly after the last line, appearing cramped. However, this is aesthetics. I'm sure after I've used it a little longer it will be a little easier to navigate. Pros One thing that I do like is how everything is so separated out by apps. So you can click individually on exactly what you are wanting to do. Cons This is very new to my company using and it is not as user friendly as our past program.
