January 9, 2019 1.0 Overall, as an applicant, I found going through Workday's applicant software to be tedious, extra, and much slower compared to other alternatives, ultimately making me less likely to want to apply to Workday jobs. Pros \- It is probably good from the recruitment side as they gain better metrics and knowledge about their applicants. - It's fairly easy to use as an applicant to fill out forms. Cons \- Any job application that requires account creation is at a disadvantage due to the extra paperwork/forms to fill out. Overall, Workday greatly increases the time it takes to apply to a job compared to other options. Unfortunately, any job I'm applying to that uses Workday has a much lower chance of me wanting to go through the entire process. - Overall it seems like Workday is really focused on the recruiter experience, but not so much on the applicant's experience. The setup of the program structure prevents mistakes. Cons The only problem I have ever had was when setting up complex benefits where one option would invalidate another. Eventually worked through this. Cons I very much dislike that you have to click every single day in order to add hours and you can't press Tab to move to the next day. Also pressing the enter button doesn't confirm the hours and close the dialog box. You have to manually click enter. Pros I used this product to apply for leaves and check my timeoff balance. I also used to or benefit elections. It can also show me my leave time left, history of leaves that i have applied. Very intuitive and user friendly. Pros Everything within the software just makes sense in terms of where it would be located. I've found I always have difficulty navigating HR platforms but this one so far has been very user friendly to navigate. It's extremely easy to use and very user-friendly. Anything you're looking for can be accessed within 2-4 clicks and the page is never crowded with too much information. In 2015, our company moved to Workday to house employee performance goals and reviews. This tool has the option to conduct reviews of direct reports and also has the ability to collect reviews from direct reports about their direct managers. There's an awesome audit trail as well as approval process. All changes are tracked and it's good that this tool allows the option for dual acknowledgement of year-end reviews (from the employee and their direct manager).
