It has an easy-to-use interface with a strong back-end for customizing business processes. Easy to onboard and integrate new company acquisitions. Great APIs for billing integration with 3rd party applications. Pros Great integration with Payroll and HCM modules. Complete suite of financial modules. User-friendly user interface. Cons A better integration with Adaptive Planning would be helpful. Some Financial dashboards are not available out of the box. Great capabilities that can integrate very well with other Workday modules. Pros Workday Financial Management provides a great P2P capability to organization already working with Workday HCM. This tool provides best-in-class functionalities that support financial and procurement operations. Cons The language, terms, jargon are very specific to Workday nomenclature rather than based on industry. Some concepts are quite unique and sometimes unnecessary when compared against a Coupa or other provider. Pros It provides function that helps automate our accounts payable and account receivable flows for our international import shipments. Cons It takes a lot of configuration and setup, and hard to onboard specific entities such as international customs and other logistics providers. Switched from [Oracle PeopleSoft](https://www.capterra.com/p/155958/Oracle-PeopleSoft/) Peoplesoft was based on outdated tech at the time, and workday provides a great erp suite for he and financials. It allows us to reconcile grant spending within the award management team along with the depts as all data points are in Workday. Users with the report Writer role are able to construct their own reports and schedule output for specific users as needed. Everything from award creation to sponsor billing can be done from one system. Cons There are constraints regarding billing for sponsors on grants for expenses posting outside of award line dates if the company is using a different system for timekeeping. Mobile access is great, especially for the price since it is very easy to navigate and to submit timesheets. Cons I don’t like that it’s slow to load and difficult to check whether or not you’ve submitted times for a week. You have to manually check every time for every week to ensure it has gone through. Reporting and dashboards made it easier to spot trends quickly and support faster, more informed decisions. Cons Some workflows can feel rigid or overly structured, especially when exceptions come up and you need quick adjustments. Pros I love that this is a one stop shop for all of the throngs that I need to access as an employee of a global business. The software has great reporting capabilities. In addition, the software offers a range of security and compliance features in terms of data encryption and two-factor authentication, which help to provide greater security for sensitive information about your business operations. Pros The software is intuitive to use and I was able to create reports easily once I understand how the system works. Pros Processing my invoices is easy and finding old files is a breeze. I process invoices, adjustments (credits and debits), and there is no issues. Its easy to process those as it kept all the information from the supplier to easy the processing. The reporting and research its very easy with an array of ways to find what I'm looking for. Cons Nothing at all. Very user friendly, easy to learn and so "jointed" with all aspects of the AP. Very happy my employer has this program. Review Source WE Walker E. Nobody likes to fiddle around with software that looks outdated and glitchy when they’re dealing with their paycheck. Pros This has been the most intuitive software for entering payroll information and altering personal information for payroll as well. We’ve never had an issue with Workday and plan on using it forever! Cons The only difficult thing to figure out is how many hours you have for the week. Sometimes when you have holiday hours or vacation hours it’s hard to tell how many hours you actually have for the week without submitting it. Pros This product has made work in our HR space so much more streamlined. From talent management, to recruiting, to benefits and obviously, financial reporting internally. Budget keeping is no longer the massive chore it used to be. Cons Because Workday is a holistic solution for HR, there are minor limitations, but those hardly impact it's greater value. I work with the filing of 1099s for all the vendors and it's impossible to run reports with the information I need in order to report accurately to the IRS. Pros Workday enables businesses to view all their financials in just a few clicks. We've been able to retire our on-prem hardware and consume the product via the cloud. We've never experienced any downtime and advanced features are offered aplenty. Pros What we liked most about the product was the breadth of services available. The interface is easy to navigate and documentation is easy to understand and follow. We are able to manage our accounts payable with ease with Workday! Cons There isn't much negative to say about the product but if I had to nitpick I would say that the interface could be snappier. There are some functions which require multiple mouse clicks to access a report which should be easier. It will, however, be a perpetual pain point for employees. Pros Workday is used by large companies for a reason - companies with employees throughout the US or even internationally can gain immense value from Workday. It takes a lot of the legwork out of managing financials with large numbers of employees for the company. Cons The user interface for actual employees leaves a lot to be desired. Performing even simple tasks can take multiple minutes of digging through menus.
