We no longer use a million spreadsheets for finance trends because it just works. The API built the model for us so I don’t have to work late building them by hand. Pros I am very relieved Logility works fine with Snowflake and Salesforce. I think most of the non-technical people will be able to drag the objects around and it will not crash. The AI portion creates the descriptions for the chart and I was surprised that it created something that had some real meaning. The docs were better than expected. The Kubernetes build was quick which I did not expect at all and that was good news. Cons Windows users are dead and buried while Linux get all the new toys. Why do I have to write a script to change a font or add a simple word wrap to a widget. It is very frustrating that I cannot figure out what metrics are hiding from me unless the dashboard title has the exact same name as the metric. With Logility we are able to use all the information in one place; therefore, we are all working with the same numbers. In addition, it allows non-supply chain individuals to view the performance metrics without requiring someone to interpret them for them. Pros I think the most important feature for me is the Dashboards; I am able to see how demand, inventory and supply all relate to each other in one place, without having to wait for IT to run a report. The flexibility in the data modeling layer allowed us to take input from different systems that were previously separate. Now management can access the data themselves instead of sending me an ad hoc request, which has significantly reduced the number of requests I receive. Cons The initial set up and configuring the cubes took much longer than I anticipated. It is not something you would be able to pass along to a non-technical individual and then walk away from. Additionally – and I know this is a minor complaint – the pricing model for licensing has changed over time, in a way that is frustrating, as things that were included previously are no longer included today. Overall, I find support to be good, however, the amount of time it takes to resolve certain configuration issues has been lengthy. Now all of our data is in one place and it takes me about five minutes to run a scenario compared to waiting days. I spend less time correcting for manual errors now, therefore I am glad that I can focus on actual design. Pros The calculation engine has done okay since it handles the logic without me needing to write code. My elbow is stuck to a coffee spill on my desk as I type quickly. The way that it actually links financials to sales, which is odd. I am just happy that the formulas do not blow up when we add more information. Cons I would say that the "learning curve" is basically a wall and that you need to be somewhat an expert before you are able to avoid messing things up. It cost too much money over the long haul. I also hate having to shut down my computer and then log back in again due to the browser network timeout. Even though there are new tools they will try to sell you to help with integration, it is still a huge hassle. The trends for our Supply Chain are now available visually. It shows how the performance metrics are performing without having to click through 20 separate folders. Pros Instead of opening a pile of mail, I am doing this so yeah, it takes those raw data and creates the graphs and I am happy that it did not crash my computer during the initial setup. It ties into both SQL and Excel so I no longer have to manually merge them. Cons It has been a real challenge trying to set up DAX, as the formulas never seem to be correct and it gets very slow once you add a lot of data to it. I hate losing all the formatting on an exported PDF for my boss as it makes it appear that I don't know what I am doing. And also I really enjoy the fact that the technical support staff are available 24/7 even late at night and hence I can solve any issue at any point in time. Pros The primary purpose of the use of Logility is to provide our team with a way to view data that would otherwise require the use of hundreds or thousands of excel spreadsheets and with Logility we are able to view both our inventory levels and sales figures in one location. In doing so, I save time and I can leave work thinking of things other than numbers. Cons Each time the company performs an upgrade on their system, every single function appears to break. It seems as though they do no testing of the upgrades before releasing them. I spend numerous hours each week repairing the dashboards that were working perfectly well the previous week. Furthermore, I believe the documentation provided by the company is subpar and written with the intent of describing a completely different software system. In addition to all of this, the extremely fast calculation engine will allow us to run large scenario models quickly and honestly, it is the reason I am able to complete my job within enough time to actually leave for the day. Pros I'm happy that our business staff (Finance & Sales) is able to make their own changes to our logic instead of always having IT Implementation do these simple fixes. And the logic changes made by our staff are identical in concept to how the other office programs work, so I’m thankful we didn’t have to learn anything new and they are also adding new features constantly or whatever is gained by the product by doing that. Cons You have to be doing something massive with it to justify the cost of this product, otherwise it’s way too expensive for basic tasks. I would say the biggest complaint I have, and I mean major complaint, is the concurrency issues – that blue box that locks you out of a process when another user is running a process, it seems like this is happening to every client we have and they complain about it all the time This creates downtime for everyone and you just sit around and wait and wait. So it increases our forecast accuracy and I don't need to run for manual updates. Pros I use Logility Platform to plan the demand and supply process. It makes it simpler to gather things from different places and model in a easier way. And what I like is that it provides real time view of how the supply chain is performing without any need of spreadsheets. Cons Atfirst you might think the interface is hard to adapt to but it gets better over time. Also there are aspects of the configuration that needs more use of technology by me. It also sometimes freezes when running large data sets which is irritating and it needs to be fixed. Pros What I really like is its ability to create a cohesive narrative throughout the planning process. Furthermore, the platform is excellent, and its forecasting engines are powerful. I feel more confident in the decisions we have made to plan our life because the data seems better linked and reliable. Pros The thing I love best about Logility is the ability to consolidate demand and supply planning in one place with out having to jump from spreadsheet to system. I use it every day, to see our forecasts, understand inventory levels and work with the procurement team and all in real time. The sync to our ERP is seamless so I always have the most current data when making planning decisions. Cons The upfront configuration was time intensive and it wasn’t easy getting everyone up to speed on how to use the more advanced forecasting models. Some reports still need the odd hack (especially when I want to parameterize across territories or product lines). I also wish the interface was a little more modern and streamlined, it can be clunky to navigate between views.
