Pros It is very useful to quote clients on insurance. It is very straight forward. Nothing complicated. It's just an ease of use. Cons It kind of slows down after a while. Owner Insurance Used the software for: 2+ years ### "ITC is the best I've used" June 2, 2020 3.0 I have used it for years and have used a couple others. I like ITC best because most companies use it. I wouldn't say it is the best rating system ever, but if I like one more that no companies use, than I'm no better off. Pros I really like being able to quote multiple people at once and multiple companies at once. This is important and saves us a lot of time in office. Cons It can stop working randomly at times. The look of it is VERY outdated and it needs a face lift. This makes it very unappealing to look at and quote with for several hours a day. I just don't know any other better products out there, but it LOOKS like it was made by an insurance agent and not a product designer. I think the admin options could be improved. If we have two customers quoted with the same name it should tell us and let us combine them easily instead of doing all the leg work ourselves. If someone calls for a quote and starts it with their name then turns around and wants to quote it in their sisters name to see what the price is, we have to start a whole new quote or erase all the info that we want to keep for the first driver. This is stupid. We're in 2020, there should be swap drivers option. How hard would that be really? You code it once, and that's it. Producer Insurance Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Great Price!" May 28, 2020 5.0 Overall it has been good. My main focus was the price, because as a small agency I try to keep my overhead low. I did loose some some insurance company access when I changed. Now it’s just slow updates when insurance companies are making changes. Pros The rater is easily usable from any computer or phone. The monthly cost is good for a small agency. The rater and management system work perfectly together. Cons The rater’s flow when quoting feels a little clunky. I think there could be improvement on the set up, so there is a smoother flow when quoting and using site. There needs to be more customization for the user. Some features are customizable to an extent, but not enough. I think the old competitor is still doing better in winning business first from insurance change roll outs. With ITC I’m stuck waiting until those changes are updated months later. To me that could be loss of business. Work more on those relations with insurance companies. Producer Insurance Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Concerns Regarding Customer Service and Support" December 26, 2023 4.0 On December 2, 2023 my office made the first payment to begin a contract with Turbo Rater, I initiated a service with TurboRater, expecting a seamless and supportive experience, especially considering the investment required for such a service. However, I was surprised and disappointed by the lack of proactive support and customer service on December 18 2023 I contacted turbo rater to find out what was going on with my account because not word was heard since the payment day on following the setup of my account. On December 19, I received a notification indicating that my site was ready and live. However, there was no follow-up contact from your team to offer assistance, answer any questions, or provide the expected level of customer service. This has left me feeling somewhat neglected and dissatisfied with the treatment I've received. Pros I initiated a service with TurboRater, expecting a seamless and supportive experience, especially considering the investment required for such a service. However, I was surprised and disappointed by the lack of proactive support and customer service following the setup of my account. Cons Not able to share what I like however As a professional committed to providing the best service to my clients, I understand the importance of customer support, especially when it comes to complex services like insurance software. I can be in the Office in 15 minutes. Now, thanks to TurboRater being web based. I can access 24/7, 365. Quoted, Insured, in 15 minutes or less. Pros Simplicity of use. It's like having your whole office in your back pocket ready when you are. other Raters keep you tied to a specific location. Very cost effective compared to others. Customer Service Tech Support knows their Product! Cons What's not to like? Occasionally depending on time of evening some carriers rates won't be available till morning. Opening an existing quote doesn't accept the "set effective date" I'm probably tapping too fast. But, have your carriers are in the red due too "quoting criteria not meet" The effective date always solves that issue for me. It is obvious the agents who work in a high volume office were not consulted on the development and beta testing of this program. All the tedious stopping to click on pull down menus and the lack of a logical flow of driver information and driving records is frustrating and time consuming. Pros ability to enter more drivers and vehicles compared to accurate; ability to enter more detailed notes when saving a quote Cons Need pull down menus to automatically display options as you tab through to reduce having to click on it AND then be able to arrow key down the menu choices (county, city, whatever etc). In other words, REDUCE THE NUMBER OF TIMES MY HAND NEEDS TO LEAVE THE KEYBOARD TO CHOOSE AN ENTRY. Consolidate driver, driver attributes and violations to one screen. Have driver's state choice next to drivers license number. Look to the Accu-rate program for a logical and easy flow for drivers info/attributes Reason for choosing TurboRater We didn't. We rarely have any issues with it going offline or not being able to function. Pros We have been using this service for so long I don't even know where to begin. Clearly we are fans, because we have never switched to another service. We have been using TurboRater since before it was even web based. We write lots on non standard auto insurance. Using Turborater allows us to price compare against several other companies and provide the most cost effective product for our customer. It has adapted and changed well with the times (discounts, garaging addresses) Cons Some auto info sets that makes little since... showing married but not listing married partner as spouse. I'm not sure I would have switched if it wasn't for that as I prefer EZ Lynx Rater. Pros This product has been fairly accurate when bridging auto. Cons Auto + Home bundle is not very easy to see view together, this part gets a little confusing. If there was any other rater available for my company to use, we would have already moved our business. Cons The updates since 2018 I am getting used to but that is not a problem learning. Reason for choosing TurboRater I used TurboRater at my previous agency for years, and I was pretty sure I was going to pick TurboRater when creating my new agency. During the sales experience with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\], I confirmed that I wanted TurboRater due to the relationship that I built with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] during the setup. I started to create this new agency before the pandemic of Covid 19, and since I was not able to start for a few more months ITC had special pricing for the first two months. Pros We are able to rate/quote as many companies as we are appointed with to get a quick rate for people looking for an insurance quote Cons It doesn't integrate very well with Progressive. Once we bridge over and get the quote and hit save and exit, then the information isn't saved on the Progressive site when we need to go back in to make a change to the quote or we're ready to bind a policy, therefore, we have to input most of the information again.
