### "User friendly and great support "

September 20, 2025

5.0

We have had an excellent experience with Alora from our very first training. I like the ability to look at a quick training video on my own. I appreciate the ability to call for help and to even plan a session of training assistance. Everyone is very prompt to respond and very efficient and friendly. I am very happy with overall customer service. Everyone is knowledgeable and able to answer my questions.

Pros

Alora is very user-friendly. The ease of it was particularly helpful during our implementation phase and whenever we train new employees. It is wonderful to show them how easy it is to master.

Cons

I do often want to print a calendar or schedule for a client and the way we set up our billing codes as a company ends up showing rates in the calendar. I wish that I could print a calendar that did not show hourly rates. There is a solution but again it is because of how we set up our billing codes we would've had to set those up differently during implementation or redo them all now.

### "Alora review"

October 27, 2025

5.0

Positive, there are a few items that could be improved upon but for the most part it has been a positive experience.

Pros

The ease of use, the software is pretty easy to navigate around. You can pretty much figure it out without extensive training.

Cons

Lack of communication within software. If you change a primary diagnosis on the oasis and forget to update it on the admission screen it will stop you from sending NOA's out. This information should auto populate and communicate together.

### "Beware of Alora predatory practices"

January 19, 2026

1.0

We were new in the Home Health space and was hounded by Alora marketing rep to sign up even before we received our license. Not even weeks after signing up. we realized Alora will not be a good fit afterall, but Alora refused to refund the $1,700 setup fee.

Pros

We did not get to use the software for real patients. We were still training. I would not do any business with them.

Cons

Their predatory practices. Customer service after you sign up. They refused to refund set-up fee even after one of their manager agreed they will refund.

### "Alora Overview"

June 26, 2026

5.0

It's been hard learning it not being trained and just thrown into it. I had to call support a lot and they have been very helpful.

Pros

Once I learned it, it's very easy. Being able to log into and do most of it through this product is very helpful.

Cons

learning it the videos are too long for someone like me that's very busy, I like short and to the point.

### "New to Alora Software"

October 27, 2025

4.0

The program is user-friendly and is easy to use, if you don't overthink it. There are a lot of good features and has the potential to be a great, competitive software, if the company is willing to change/add more features to enhance what the program already has and does on both the clinical and billing spectrums.

Pros

The program is easy to use and comprehend. Our company had no training with the implementation of the software, but we have been able to navigate most of it on our own and assist our staff with being proficient as well.

Cons

There are several areas that are a hard stop unless certain information has been entered and will potentially need to be changed later, which causes extra steps for the clinician, as well as anyone auditing the charts.

### "Top Performing Home Health Care Solution"

September 17, 2022

5.0

I would describe my overall experience as a win. Alora Home Health has been and still is one of the top performing home health care solutions. I advise that new organizations start with Alora as less training will be needed and it is affordable, while still having the might to manage the organization collectively. The management of skilled and non-skilled care is one of the most important features Alora has to offer. Problems solved: The need for one collective platform, the need to manage all components and staff, the need for fair pricing and support.

Pros

\- Management of all components of home health care. - Affordable, fair price. - Learn to use in a reasonable amount of time. Arranged in a very practical way. - Beneficial to supervisors, caregivers, and patients both individually and collectively. - Scheduling and time management. - Documentation and E-Signatures. - Management of skilled and non-skilled care. - Management of workflows, paperless and efficient. - Accept medicaid and medicare. - Management of billing and invoicing. - EVV included. - Support is above and beyond.

Cons

\- Missing features/feature quality: scheduling, notes, charts, lists and databases. Notification settings are standard, vital information has been lost or overlooked. - Some nurses and home care staff needed training in order to correctly use each and every feature. - Missing updates that other companies implemented years ago. - Complaints were heard but were not addressed.

### "Alora streamlines documentation, enhances efficiency, and elevates patient care to unprecedented levels!"

February 1, 2024

5.0

Alora has exceeded my expectations in every way. I have used a lot of EMR systems in my career and Alora by far has the most user friendly, efficient platform for home care. The software is extremely easy to use and learn, encompasses everything my business needs to be efficient and compliant and is able to be customized to the specific needs of my agency. The implementation was seamless, organized and abundant with resources. Every person that I have worked with at Alora during the implementation process went above and beyond to ensure an excellent experience. Their customer support is easy to reach and available to help with everything I need. Alora also integrates perfectly with my payroll and billing systems. It streamlines the process for my nurses and allows them to spend their attention on their patients rather than difficult charting and paperwork. I couldn't be happier with my decision to partner with Alora!

Pros

My favorite aspect of Alora is its user-friendly interface and smooth navigation, which greatly improves our ability to efficiently manage patient care, documentation, and communication within our home healthcare agency. Additionally, Alora's robust features and customizable options empower us to tailor the software to our specific needs, enhancing our overall workflow and productivity.

Cons

What I find challenging about Alora is its cost structure, which is difficult for smaller home healthcare agencies or those operating on tighter budgets. While the software offers valuable features, the upfront licensing fees and ongoing subscription costs poses financial constraints for us as a start up company.

Alternatives considered

[AlayaCare](https://www.capterra.com/p/147424/AlayaCare/)

Reason for choosing Alora Home Health

I chose Alora over AlayaCare based on its scalable cost structure, alignment of features with our organization's needs, intuitive user experience, scalability, customization options, and positive recommendations from peers.

### "Alora Review"

October 6, 2020

4.0

The customer service is amazing!!! Overall, a very affordable program if you have multiple agencies and are in the start up phase.

Pros

I like that you can do both home care and home health with this software

Cons

The software does not instantly alert administration when caregivers are late or don't clock in or out of a scheduled shift. Administration has to look through each schedule manually to determine.

### "Will not recommend Aloraplus software for Home Health"

January 6, 2026

1.0

Terrible. Overall, not a great experience. Complex system. failed promotions, billing fraud with inaccurate census representation.

Pros

You can adjust paperwork and time easily. They are available easily during initial sign-up and training, but difficult to catch when you really need them.

Cons

Billing department experience is horrible. They see a diiference census from what you actually have and charge you higher than they are supposed to. Customer service will say someone will call you, but you'll hardly get a call back. The customer is never right from their perspective, rather their metric is. Your patient data automatically disappears/ inactivate in their software.

Overall, my experience with Alora has been great. It's made my job so much easier, quicker & more efficient.

Pros

Integration and implementation were fairly easy. I love the Scheduler & Reports tabs. They make it easy to keep track of who has what patients & total numbers or information are at my fingertips with the Reports I can print out.

Cons

Sometimes big bugs or issues can take quite some time to get worked out by IT.

Billing made a lot easier with ALORA.

Pros

Switching from Axxess to Alora is very easy. Staff of Alora is very knowledgable in what they do.

Cons

Very happy with the software. As a user of a few different home health software this one seems to be the most user friendly and easy to learn.

Pros

very user friendly and able to learn easily.

Cons

I feel like in the goals section of charting it becomes repetitive and there could be an easier way to chart the goals. possibly checking boxes on what you taught and then just needing to write how the patient reacted to the teaching.

We love it. We're glad we switched while we were small because switching now would be a ton of work.

Pros

We initially looked into Alora so we could switch from paper charting to computer charting. I chose it because I like the way the nurse note is organized. We were also happy to be able to have patient files, employee files, scheduling and billing all in one place.

Cons

The admission assessment is 35 pages long.

### "Alora, the best of the best!"

June 8, 2017

5.0

Pros

Alora has been like a dear friend to our company for many years. It is an easy to master software with user-friendly layouts at every turn. I am a pro at this and I can barely use my own smartphone. I absolutely love this program and can confidently recommend it to any serious Home Health Care start-up or well established company as their primary business related software. Alora listens to your feedback and updates their software regularly to meet ever-changing industry needs.

Cons

There are little to no cons about this program. I have been using it for years and the only issue I have ever had was a server wide slow down once or twice that was cleared up within minutes.

You've got a great support team who always have been able to help, eitheir they know the answer or don't!

Pros

I think this software is esay to use. It's the inly software for home care I've used as I'm new to the industry, and pretty fast I was able to handle myself in it.

Cons

The introduction of Alora Plus hasn't been very smooth. There are some functions, specially reports which don't work in Plus or Classic. Also the interface, for certain things I prefer Classic and for others I prefer Plus.
