"Rigid Contracts and Zero Empathy: A Warning for New Contractors"

**Overall:** Buildertrend markets themselves as a partner for construction growth, but my experience as a small business owner has been the opposite. Despite paying for six months of service while having zero active projects, they refused to exercise the 'sole discretion' suspension clause (Section 4.6) in their own contract to provide temporary relief during a cash flow crisis. I have paid thousands for a service I never used operationally, and their legal department’s only response was to enforce the remainder of the annual debt. They prioritize rigid payment installments over the actual success or survival of the companies they serve.
