### "Buildertrend is worth trying and trusting"

Pros

The user interface is distinctive and professionally designed at all levels related to construction operations. It also has a support team that responds quickly to any inquiry and accepts all opinions to improve the quality of work and service.

Cons

If Buildertrend were to offer a free trial period, this would be better for the new user. I also hope to work on accounting programs to move away from simplicity so that things look better

Pros

Just like smartphones have revolutionized our lives. The integration of BuilderTrend into our business has revolutionized every aspect of how we manage our processes. From initial lead capturing through job closing BuilderTrend helps us every single step of the way. Rarely does the day go by when we are not thankful for the functions. We have been using Buildertrend for a year and a half now. Nearly every single day we are still amazed at how much smoother our business runs because of this software platform.

### "Not True Estimating Software"

I was looking for true estimating software, which this is not. It was portrayed that it could be. True estimating software assigns labor units as you do the takeoff. This software does not. The takeoff can be done faster by hand, for the job sizes that this is designed for. There is no true free trial. Setup is very tedious, and training drags out. This is not for the self-employed, unless the person can afford a lot of downtime to learn. Had zero contact with anyone, but they continued taking my money for 4 months. I got nothing for all of that money that they took. I regret my decision to try this software.

Has nice TAKEOFF features. Has customer facing features

Cons

Not true estimating software, but was portrayed as such. No labor units. The free trial is not really free, because extensive training and setup is needed to even use the software. Need to have someone to set up the software, and learn it fast to be able to recoup the expense of the software. Continued taking money out of my account, even with no contact for months. It's better to purchase on-site software, and have someone train on site. That way you're not paying a fortune every month, for something you cant use.

Reason for choosing Buildertrend

Was advertised as being easy to use.

Pros

You can keep EVERYTHING in one place. It's easy for clients to use, employees + subcontractors.

Cons

Sometimes things that should be obvious to do aren't an option. Like printing estimates with clients pricing, not builders.

Simply put, we could not function at the level of efficiency and effectiveness without this program, and its helpful support staff.

Pros

The centralized and well organized communication is key. We feel, as do our clients, that we are truly all "on the same page".

Cons

Interface with other software. It works, but at times sync with Quickbooks is delayed. The new Invoice feature is a step in the right direction, but again interface with Quickbooks has hindered our use of this feature.

It is useful for our time cards and assigning to do's. Not much aside from those items

Pros

Time clock integration to budget - centralized access to information To do's are very helpful

Cons

RFI is not useful at all- Budgets are confusing and difficult to use Emailing from software is not compatible with many customers email servers

Pros

BT has been the missing piece our company has been needing for a long time. We struggled with communication among employees and clients, now all conversations are right in one place for everyone to see. Not scattered between multiple employees emails or written on post-it notes. Having files accessible in the office or in the field has solved so many issues as well.

Cons

The PO system is "clunky". Too many layers and tabs and things to click. If you forgot to click something that can end up biting you later.

Not really an estimating software. The import spreadsheets and adapt them rather then have specific assemblies and cost codes

Overall very good program. I am happy with most of the features and options available, would like to see a few more features integrated that I'm sure are yet to come.

Pros

Just recently began using buildertrend, I have been pleasantly surprised with the amount of features that are available. It works very well for our company. I am able to follow different departments of the company and how they interact with the customer.

Cons

Seamlessly switching between customers takes some time, as well as switching between tabs for the same customer. I would like a few more features in the ability to highlight customers based on certain criteria (ie. highlight customers who have not been contacted within the last week/month/period of time). I went through a struggle pulling customer information to a different program that did allow me to highlight customers based on different criteria.

We're a general contractor that specializes in custom home building. We implemented BuilderTREND a few year's ago, looking for help with the communications aspects between our team, vendors/suppliers, subcontractors, and our clients. We were faced with limitations in email, phone, etc., for sharing information, schedules, and updates amongst all those involved. We also looked for other ways to help with tracking decisions and resources, rather than creating or refurbishing various spreadsheets and form documents that were redundant and cumbersome. BuilderTREND's support staff was very helpful in educating our team on the uses and ways to utilize the various components and tools within the software. The demo/tutorial presentation helped greatly to initialize it's use and the support and updates have increasingly permitted us to facilitate the needs of our projects. Our team continually finds ways to integrate more aspects of our business's processes into BuilderTrend to allow for a more streamlined activity model. The ability to aid with simplifying the sometimes overwhelming and time consuming amount of information management, has benefited all of those involved with our projects. Possibly the best result of utilizing BuilderTREND is that our clients have enjoyed their increased "involvement" throughout their home's construction. Especially with some of our clients not being local during construction. Specifically, sharing ability afforded by the schedule, photos, selections, and changes. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Our experience with CoConstruct has been a very positive one thus far. The support staff is great and has been more than willing to eagerly answer all of our questions during implementation. CoCamp is very helpful and motivating. The team at this company has set up a great model for success for themselves and their clients by staying involved in the learning process until they are sure you are understanding and USING their software. It has helped our principal take control of the jobs with better communication with our subs and our clients all in one place. There is a lot of work on the front end, but the results are worth it. Not to mention, these guys really seem to take a vested interest in our success as a company – they remembered me by face and name when I approached them at the IBS booth, which to me shows the level of care they have for their clients. I feel like this product is more than just software. I see CoConstruct as an extension of our team, as they truly seem to be motivated to help with achieving growth and success for our company partially through providing a tool to organize and communicate better on jobs but also through constant feedback and checking in to be sure everything is being implemented and working for our needs. Really... I can't compliment them enough.

I'm a remodeler in Denver, CO, and use Co-construct for every one of my jobs. I have been in the building industry for over 30 years, and I have looked at literally hundreds of project management software packages. Most other packages all fall short in one area or another in the areas that are just are so critical in "hooking" everything together. Co-constuct has enhanced our operation way beyond what I expected, and does more than I thought even when I purchased it and had it "branded" to my company image. My customers think it is my software (I of course would be honest if they asked) - but they don't! They just love it. It saves them time, puts everyone (even subs) on the same page regarding schedule, material selections, and communication. We have a service and maintenance program as well and we use the system for that. For all jobs that are newly created, the customers get their own sign on and login credentials along with a very short traning video explaining the system. I have NEVER had to explain to a customer how to use the system - even for our oldest service customer - she is over 70 and hates computers! But she loves us, because we can take care of her needs and she feels in control of what's going on. All of our customers say the same thing. On Co-construct's side, the support could not be better. Co-Constuct has a HUGE data base for self help that is ready at your fingertips 24/7. If that still doesn't solve your problem, and you really need to get ahold of someone, you get a real, expert response - fast.

We have been using BuilderTREND for about six months now and it has changed the way that we do business. Our company specializes in the repair of fire, water, wind, and storm damage to commercial and residential properties. These projects are like no other type of remodeling projects in the sense that instead of the customer having months to prepare themselves for the stress of a major renovation, they are literally thrown into them overnight. As a disaster restoration contractor, our projects require an emotional interaction with the customer that can easily get lost during daily conversations about scheduling and project progress. With BuilderTREND, the project information is at the customers' fingertips any time they want to see it. This allows our team to focus on more in depth, personal interactions with the customer. In our line of work, this is a home run! Our customers now have the ability to view the schedule, make selections, approve change orders and even view pictures of the different phases of the project, anytime they want to. BuilderTREND combines all of the programs that we were using previously into one easy to use, integrated package. The set up time and training period was very short and the transition was simple. So simple in fact, we haven't even had the need to call customer support. I am very happy with the program so far, and the few gripes I had in the beginning were addressed with the constant updating and program improvement that BuilderTREND provides. It just keeps getting better and better!

We are a small General Contracting company who has spent thousands of dollars on software over the years that has ended up being trashed because of trying to take complicated programs and adapt our needs to their functionality. Finally, we found a web-based program that caters to the Home Building Industry, and has the industry knowledge to stand behind it! The application itself is easy to use, similar to the intuitiveness of MicroSoft Office so it's easy for a wide variety of users to pick up on quickly. Once you're set up, it's "out of the box" ready to go, after about an hour of training. Great graphics, impressive customer access tools, and they are continually improving functionality. It also allows us to have all the client and sub contractor information all in one place, with all the backup documents, pictures, and plans at our fingertips. Customer support is unparallel - your personal rep actually answers the phone, and they are truly interested in getting your questions and issues solved quickly and efficiently. Training is available - whenever you need it, as many times as you want it - at no extra charge. One downside is that in order to access the BuilderTREND tools daily in real time, and utilize the benefits effectively, our project managers and sub contractors need web access in the field - we are looking at buying iPads or laptops, but this can get expensive. We are still in the process of discovering all the benefits of using BuilderTREND in our daily project scheduling but so far, I am impressed.
