They respond to questions quickly, and the page is easy to navigate between areas. Cons There are areas that are not as easy to navigate, instead of having places where you could have a button for "Next", you have to save, X out, and then click on the following item (such as entering options, POs). Some areas are redundant; you have to enter the same info in several areas instead of them just autofilling. Review Source BG Beth G. Cons It is not completely compatible with my Acer Chromebook. However, we did contact the client to let him know that he can still upload by simply emailing photos into the project or by posting them via our iOS and Android mobile apps. LD Len D. Used the software for: ### "" March 12, 2013 5.0 I am the owner of Shepherd's Realty and represent Schantz Homes Inc., a local builder in Upstate New York. We have been using Co-construct for all of our projects and so far our customers have been extremely satisfied with the outcome. The program's ease of use and simple interface allows our future homeowners to track the progress of their home as it is being built. Once completed, the program also helps with warranty concerns. When my boss left to start his own company and I ended up working for him, one of my first thoughts was "Yeah! We get to use all the power of BuilderTrend now!" I knew how much easier it could make life in the office. All interactions with customers are documented and change orders have gone from being a real pain to a breeze! It allows me to get more done without adding staff, payroll, and the headache of managing more personnel. Its branding has given me the look and feel of a builder that is in tune with new technology and is not afraid to put it to work. Implementation was easy. I signed on in January at the IBS and I am already running my next eight projects with Co-construct. So many emails, and even with a subject in the subject line, clients would get off beat and bring up other subjects. To find the correct email was a whole other fiasco! Co-Construct keeps everything in one place, conversations and questions are so easy to find. I even do a recap of a conversation when I speak to a client directly. That way nothing is lost and they can always comment. Making final selections is wonderful also. No question of what color choices they picked for their roofing, siding etc. Review Source DF Derek F. The complexity and number of tasks that can be done at once is a great time-saver for businesses. If you do have trouble, Donny has a huge help section that is easy to use. Cons Like all new software, it does take a week or so to get your head around all the functions and for functions not used on a daily basis. We looked at a couple of different software programs and chose BuilderTrend based on all of their the positive reviews. Their customer support and training for our employees has been great. The implementation to our website has taken a little longer than first estimated. However, whenever we bring up any concerns to our sales rep they are addressed promptly. We have only had the program for a little over a month so it is going to take some time to get everyone comfortable using the program. Review Source DB David B. We looked at most builder project management software, and it became clear that Co-construct was the easiest to use and the friendliest to our customers. Before Co-construct we mostly used Excel sheets and paper-based outlines. Any problems we have had along the way were handled promptly and professionally. Three years ago, Donny personally answered the tech help line and the sales line. We use Co-construct for all our jobs, and it's a great sales tool when we show our customers. I ultimately chose BuilderTREND based on their dominant position in the market, the size of their development staff and the recommendations that I received from other users. BuilderTREND had all of the features I was looking for, and I was confident they had the staff to continue to make improvements and upgrades to the features going forward. Cons Like any program, it takes some getting used to and adjusting to current systems. Some of the calendars and budgets display better on the screen than they do when they are printed. The president of this vendor comes to the table initially as a client, so he sees the possibilities from both sides and how builders can really use communication to keep the clients up to date, while still internally tracking costs and schedules. It makes it easier to get things done much more efficiently. As far as the co-construct company, the support/customer service has gone above and beyond. When I had a unique issue, we talked on the phone & they made a video to show me on co-construct how to do what I needed and sent it to me. Pretty amazing in my book! Cons The only thing that I would like to be able to do is to be able to take a project from active to prospect since in the beginning I made a few mistakes in how I assigned things. We have a lot of older clients that I was scared wouldn't be able to figure it out, but they all love it. I like the training and one-on-one nature of having a specific partnership with one person who knows my needs, but access to others if they are busy or away. I like the ability to handle leads to proposals to job scheduling, budgeting and management. I love the mobile accessibility. Cons It isn't hard per se but it is not automatic, and therefore someone and ideally everyone needs training. It is not easy to load contacts, and there are other areas such as the leads' activities not being able to be put on the calendar. Many things I request, they address or find a compromise.
