Overall, I like DHTMLX and would recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful library to create interactive web applications.
Pros
I like that DHTMLX is very easy to use and provides an array of features that make development quick and straightforward. The library also features a wide array of components for creating robust web applications. With its drag and drop feature, it's easy to move elements around the page and quickly customize the page to fit my needs. Additionally, the real-time updates, interactive charts, and custom widgets make it easier to create a dynamic and engaging user experience.
Cons
I do not like that the library can be a bit pricey if you need to purchase additional components or if you need to add additional features to your application. Also, there is not a lot of support for older browsers and devices, so you may need to make manual changes for compatibility.

We contacted support for our various questions we had. Both in terms of capabilities, features and licensing. Their support team responded to all of our queries with great satisfaction.
Pros
I am using the spreadsheet product of DHTMLX. It is a robust and very powerful piece of software. It is bug free and does the job wonderfully. The features of the spreadsheet are very in depth. The ability to rely on such a great product prevented us from re-inventing the wheel.
Cons
The only disadvantage is the high steep price but this is compensated by the fact that we get a lifetime perpetual license instead of a subscription one.

DHTMLX was better. x-spreadsheet was not up to our standards and seemed buggy. Handsontable was more expensive that DHTMLX. It was at 3597 USD

We've had a great experience using DHTMLX over several years of development. The components are reliable, well maintained, and backed by a team that genuinely cares about the product and its users. We'd happily recommend it to anyone building modern web applications.
Pros
DHTMLX is an extensive, highly customisable and reliable platform with excellent documentation and a flexible API. It has been easy to work with, performs well, and the support team has always been responsive and helpful whenever we've needed assistance.
Cons
The initial learning curve can be a little steep for advanced features, but the documentation and support make it much easier to get up to speed.

In spite if the impressive list of corporate users, the company is very difficult to communicate with, sophomoric and unprofessional.
Pros
Robust and complete set of JavaScript Controls. Good documentation and examples.
Cons
The controls are too Buggy. The controls fail to implement basic functionality. Major API changes requiring significant rewrites between major versions.
Reason for choosing DHTMLX
We use both now, but will be migrating away from DHTMLX to Wijmo.

We've created several web applications with HTMLX, both for internal use and for commercial products. We've always been satisfied with the experience, and even if we've had a few issues, support has always been quick to help.
Pros
DHTMLX is a simple to use tool for writing complex web gui. The learning curve is very little and the customer support is too responsive.
Cons
I don't like the Editor right now: this component lacks several features (which I think are essential), such as table management.

Pros
We use the Scheduler and Kanban components from DHTMLX and are very satisfied with both. The implementation is straightforward, and the components are highly customizable, which makes it easy to adapt them to our specific requirements. The free trial version is also a great way to test the product before making a commitment – it gave us a good impression of the capabilities right from the start.
Cons
So far, we haven't found any real drawbacks. You need to invest a bit of time to get the most out of the customization features, but that's expected with any powerful UI library.

It has been great overall till now. We have mainly utilized the trial and are fairly satisfied with it at the moment.
Pros
The performance as well as breadth of the features is top notch.
Cons
The pricing seems to be a bit complicated, I believe it can be simplified further. We could not test the export to P6/MSP in Gantt.

We have implemented a project management web application from our parent company, that's allowed all subsidiaries to use the same app for scheduling. The yearly volume of work flowing through this application is roughly $150m.
Pros
The granular control of elements and styles is what I like about the dhtmlx gantt chart. While it took me some time to learn how to use it, it works well. We started using this product at the same time as we implemented a new web-applicaiton to replace Oracle's Primavera P6 for scheduling. We've been able to emulate the way it works very welll.
Cons
Early on, some of the functionality felt clunky (resources/graphing), but as we move forward and new updates are done, it seems to be getting cleaner. I would like it if the gantt could be made responsive. I don't like the export options. (Project/P6/Pdf). Our projects are very large (too large for the stated limits) and I don't know how to implement my own server.

An online web-application solution allows our project managers to (a) see live schedule updates and (b) make their own updates/changes so that there is no more double entry.

We use the Gantt component to display dependencies between projects, tasks and millstones on the timeline. Use the build in functionality to move, update, delete entities. In a special use case, we display the time-dimension of those entities connected to Finacial impacts with support of the histogram-cell-capacity view.
Pros
DHTMLX Gantt chart is performant, customizable and has a rich feature set like critical path, milestones, split tasks and especially the histogram-cell-capacity view.
Cons
The angular integration could be better, also the type support (d.ts) could be better (still a lot of any) but they are working on it.

My overall experience with DHTMLX has been very positive. The library has been stable, reliable, and suitable for long-term enterprise projects. Its components are easy to integrate, the API is consistent, and it has allowed me to maintain large systems efficiently for many years. Overall, DHTMLX has been a dependable solution in my development work.
Pros
What I like most about DHTMLX is its stability, long-term reliability, and the strong performance of its components. The API is also very clear and easy to work with, which has allowed me to develop and maintain systems efficiently for many years.
Cons
What I liked least about DHTMLX is that some parts of the older versions, such as 3.5, have limited modern features and lack updated documentation. Upgrading to newer technologies sometimes requires extra effort. However, overall the framework has still been very reliable for me.

It definitely helps us solve the javascript part of things and we don't have to develop everything from scratch.
Pros
The product is nice, fresh, contemporary. The support always responds within a few hours. It is usable and will save a lot fo time when developing online tools for project management.
Cons
The customizability in terms of CSS is cumbersome. I mean you can easily customize any CSS output by overriding it - that's not the problem. However, I like clean code so I would rather build the CSS by compiling it from scss or less with my own user styles and variables overrides so I don't have to override them when compiled. Just a suggestion.
Reason for choosing DHTMLX
In some cases yes, in other cases other products won due to price.

Some of the customizations will not be easy to develop and need to be skipped, the same as every library out there.

Pros
Documentation & support of DHTMLX are very good. We experienced the imprementation of this solution and it was quite easy / fast to set up (good structure of libraries, documentation easy to understand). We are now daily using the solution since it is one of our main official company tools. So, easy to implement and maintain. Regular updates (fixes, improvements, etc.). Highly recommended.
Cons
No drawbacks so far. Improvements : it should be nice to have natively public national holidays in the planning module.

The documentation is sometimes not correct and this leads to irritation. Version 6 follows a new approach, which is very promising. However, it still lacks some features that were already available in version 5.

The product is largely error-free and runs in different browsers .

We were able to quite rapidly integrate the library in our code base and have a Gantt chart up and running and this saved us precious time. We appreciate the responsiveness of the support team at DHTMLX to guide us in customizing the library to our specific needs.
Cons
There is definitely a learning curve for a developer to be able to implement and customize the library, but the documentation available is helpful.

A good consistent all in one package that allows for quick development. It's good documentation and support makes sure that you won't be stuck on a problem for long. It can use some improvements in regards of modern web development as dynamically creating and destorying components seemed unreliable.
Pros
It is very easy to get thing up and running. The documentation gives great examples on how to set it up quickly and makes it easy to work towards your goal from there.
Cons
Not all components of the suite package support modern ways of developing. Some are not responsive and most don't work that great with a SPA. Quickly destroying components and rebuilding them worked very unreliable in the cases that I have used it.

The design is perfect, and we were quickly able to integrate it into our need, as well as fast, and gives several possibilities of use and flexibility.
Cons
we encountered some problems and we opened tickets, and the bugs couldn't be fixed immediately but in the next version. so we needed some additional development to overcome these bugs which was blocked.

The products from dhtmlx are already out-of-box very good to to use and really easy to implement and to adept. The functions are well thougt and the support is 10 stars +, even before buying. This is outstanding!
Cons
There is nothing to complain, you get exactly what you see in the online demos.
