Pros: It is a great way to keep all your clients together when you have multiple systems and carriers. If you write direct with popular companies the policies will download from the carrier directly which is nice.

Cons: They are tons of different features with is good but you end up not using everything to it's fullest capabilities. In the accounting portion of the system it is very hard to undo something if you make a mistake.

This is new to our agency as we have been on the TAM platform prior.

Pros: EPIC has now fully integrated employee benefits into this software that did not exist before within TAM

Cons: We don't go live until June 1st so it's a little early to provide any meaningful feedback on what I like least.

Our company recently transferred to Applied Systems EPIC and it has streamlined our whole company.

Pros: We recently changed over to EPIC. It did have a few bumps along the way but the customer support was A+ and they sent us support to train us in person which was a HUGE help so that we could all train and learn properly and have a real person explain things to us. The program does help us streamline our processes and keep up with our clients so much easier. We can send out emails for business as well as to send holiday and birthday greetings/coupons and out clients do appreciate it. We can keep track of notes on each client as we service them and attaching documents couldn't be easier! We needed something like this and the name EPIC is perfect for this program.

Cons: There are the usual bumps along the way when you are learning a new program, but the customer service is what really made the transition smooth.

Overall: It benefits our whole company by helping us streamline our processes and implement strategies that benefit us and our clients in so many ways.

Good system to get a quick price indication from a number of companies.

Pros: Transfer data input into agency management system. Quick buttons take you to the google map, Zillow and the property appraiser website.

Cons: Tends to lock up and stop working. RCE is much higher than most of my carriers. The Home Estimates shows only a few of my carriers.

Overall: Fast price indication and a point in the right direction for which carrier to go to.

Pros: Customer service is extremely helpful. There are so many different things you can do with Applied that it makes me wonder how we managed before we had it.

Cons: Some actions in the transactions section are difficult to reverse if a mistake is made. It would be helpful if everything was able to be edited.

This system is capable to do a lot but is not user friendly.

Pros: I do like that this program allows my agents to organize all of our clients information in one area. They are able to set up follow-up and work them accordingly. As an office manager I can see what they are doing by just running a report. The companies Applied partners with that allow downloads is great. My staff doesn't have to enter information in manually.

Cons: The program is able to do a lot but the training and resources are complicated and hard to use. The customer support staff are not as knowledgeable about all the capabilities of the program. This system also does not allow for errors. Once data is entered it is really hard, inconvenient or not able to be fixed.

Misled and Lied too.

Cons: Salesperson misleads people to earn a commission. The platform does not work as demonstrated. They will give you the run around when you try to get issues fixed or questions answered. Complete waste of time.

Pros: Constantly getting updates from Applied. Software has a clean logical layouts. Ease of navigation is big to help with the training of new users.

Cons: The cost is a little high, and the use of the on-premise version vs the cloud-based is a little tricky when calling into support. Both version are still in production, but I get the feeling that on-perm will go away and we will be forced into needing a new solution.

Overall: Epic has a very simple tab and left side navigation, that expands when sub-categories are opened. The additional module available made the reach of the software extend into multiple departments.

Pros: The options for our direct bill commissions are so much better for this software than what we currently have. Also the report options are really great.

Cons: Right now it is the learning curve and getting used to doing things differently than what we have been using the past 15 years.

Pros: This product is my own personal assistant! The automation aspect of the product is well worth the investment.

Cons: This product has so much that it can do that it's difficult to learn everything about it in a very short time period. However, that's what makes this product so impressive.

I used this when I was working as a medical biller at a hospital.

Pros: Epic is a good broker management system. It enables us to manage our home and auto policies. The customer support team is great.

Cons: The limitations on configuring Epic could be improved. Having the ability to add new fields would be nice so we could improve different workflows. Creating reports could be improved to make it a bit more user friendly and easy to use.

DORIS: Dumb Over-Exaggerated Relic Internet Scum

Pros: DORIS' support team is efficient and quick.

Cons: Everything. DORIS is a slow and ugly nightmare to work with.
It's confusing interface, poor security, sluggish management, and perplexing financial features doom anyone who uses it to a life of stress and frustration.

Overall: DORIS is possibly the worst CMS I've ever had the displeasure of working with. It provides all your standard expected features to manage clients, which seems nice, until you use it.
The poor functionality, frustrating User Interface, and incredibly slow response times (not including connecting to the web, just basic tab switching & menu navigation) turns DORIS from a seemingly simple solution to your management needs into a source of stress and frustration for any and everyone in the company... and I'm the IT guy.
Don't let the pretty web page of "Applied Systems" fool you. Their DORIS CMS is an ancient early 90s Windows-era ugly cancer (They don't even show screenshots of it on their website).
All that being said they do have fantastic customer support. However, the nature of good, intuitive design of a management system implies there be no need to call the support line.
If any one is considering the Applied System's DORIS package, I urge you to deeply test it out before you waste your money; an Excel spreadsheet is a better management system.
I also would urge anyone who currently uses DORIS to implore them to update the DORIS system into the 2017 era.

Recommendations to other buyers: Don't buy this software, look to anything else. I urge you to spend your money elsewhere. Just the appearance of DORIS (Windows 90s era) should be enough to turn you away before you experience the chaotic frustration of the User Experience it unfortunately provides.
