Cons: Salesperson misleads people to earn a commission. The platform does not work as demonstrated. They will give you the run around when you try to get issues fixed or questions answered. Complete waste of time.

Modern layout, with lots of features.

Pros: Constantly getting updates from Applied. Software has a clean logical layouts. Ease of navigation is big to help with the training of new users.

Cons: The cost is a little high, and the use of the on-premise version vs the cloud-based is a little tricky when calling into support. Both version are still in production, but I get the feeling that on-perm will go away and we will be forced into needing a new solution.

Overall: Epic has a very simple tab and left side navigation, that expands when sub-categories are opened. The additional module available made the reach of the software extend into multiple departments.

Pros: The options for our direct bill commissions are so much better for this software than what we currently have. Also the report options are really great.

Cons: Right now it is the learning curve and getting used to doing things differently than what we have been using the past 15 years.

Pros: This product is my own personal assistant! The automation aspect of the product is well worth the investment.

Cons: This product has so much that it can do that it's difficult to learn everything about it in a very short time period. However, that's what makes this product so impressive.

I used this when I was working as a medical biller at a hospital.

Pros: I really liked that there was more than one way to get something done on the program. And the customer service was excellent.

Cons: Sometimes it would freeze up and hold up the office or would take a while to reboot in the morning.

Pros: Epic is a good broker management system. It enables us to manage our home and auto policies. The customer support team is great.

Cons: The limitations on configuring Epic could be improved. Having the ability to add new fields would be nice so we could improve different workflows. Creating reports could be improved to make it a bit more user friendly and easy to use.

DORIS: Dumb Over-Exaggerated Relic Internet Scum

Pros: DORIS' support team is efficient and quick.

Cons: Everything. DORIS is a slow and ugly nightmare to work with.
It's confusing interface, poor security, sluggish management, and perplexing financial features doom anyone who uses it to a life of stress and frustration.

Overall: DORIS is possibly the worst CMS I've ever had the displeasure of working with. It provides all your standard expected features to manage clients, which seems nice, until you use it.
The poor functionality, frustrating User Interface, and incredibly slow response times (not including connecting to the web, just basic tab switching & menu navigation) turns DORIS from a seemingly simple solution to your management needs into a source of stress and frustration for any and everyone in the company... and I'm the IT guy.
Don't let the pretty web page of "Applied Systems" fool you. Their DORIS CMS is an ancient early 90s Windows-era ugly cancer (They don't even show screenshots of it on their website).
All that being said they do have fantastic customer support. However, the nature of good, intuitive design of a management system implies there be no need to call the support line.
If any one is considering the Applied System's DORIS package, I urge you to deeply test it out before you waste your money; an Excel spreadsheet is a better management system.
I also would urge anyone who currently uses DORIS to implore them to update the DORIS system into the 2017 era.

Recommendations to other buyers: Don't buy this software, look to anything else. I urge you to spend your money elsewhere. Just the appearance of DORIS (Windows 90s era) should be enough to turn you away before you experience the chaotic frustration of the User Experience it unfortunately provides.
