Ability to have multiple takeoff areas and name them accordingly. Ability to revise the takeoff as plans change Cons So far I have been satisfied with everything that I have seen. If I had to say there was something that I didn't like about the product it would be the estimating capability of it. The software allows for quick and easy quantifying of materials. Took me less than an hour and when I showed it to him, took only another 30 minutes. He is now generating quotes faster than we ever have in the past. Estimating Manager Used the software for: ### "Couldn't do without it" March 25, 2015 5.0 PlanSwift is easy to learn and use and provides immediate benefits, but also has the capability to handle complex formulas and assemblies for the more advanced users. Estimator Construction Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "PlanSwift Review" April 15, 2015 4.5 Pros PlanSwift has allowed us the freedom to do takeoffs more quickly on-screen, and eliminated the need (in most cases) for printing drawings. We have already started to see the savings in our paper costs. Cons Sometimes, the viewable area of the drawing can be limited by the takeoff audit windows. Large monitors are a plus. Dual monitors are ideal to drag these windows over, and maximize the viewable area of your drawing. Review Source DD Don D. Owner Used the software for: ### "Easy Take off" April 6, 2015 3.0 I like the ease of taking off the square footage of an area. It has increased my ability of taking off numerous plans in a week. Down side there is no plug ins for Plaster or EIFS take offs. Since there is no plug ins for Plaster or EIFS, I still have to do the materials manually. Review Source SG Sam G. Estimator Construction Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Review of Planswift" September 8, 2016 4.0 Pros Program is simple to use, has all the features we needed and does not crash as often as other programs I have used before. Sales staff was helpful. The takeoff tools are very easy to learn. Cons It would have been great to have an even more basic version of the program. Just the takeoff tool as that was what were looking for. Other than that, no complaints about the use of the program or the support staff. Review Source BC Bill C. Learning the software is very intuitive. Cons The software as a whole feels archaic. The support for the software is lacking. It seems like you cannot get ahold of a person on the phone for any issues. If you want to mark up drawings for your takeoffs and add further levels of detail you are better off shopping around. It's a great tool in many ways. Cons The Plug-ins aren't available. I have been told "any day now" for almost 2 months? I'd really like to be able to use my take off software to count fittings and parts, rather than continuing to do it manually. Pros Planswift is fairly easy to use if you know how to take off a job already. It definitely saves you time with recording and keeping track of your counts. Cons Planswift doesn't make it easiest to edit distances. Also I have found it that some automatic settings for measuring distances are confusing. Review Source DR Daniel R. Planswift turned out to be very useable and the support is what made that happen...couldn't be happier with Planswift...we wouldn't be in business today without it.
