CEO Building Materials Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "REVIEW" October 27, 2019 2.0 very poor I have used competitors and it's hassle free Pros What I liked most was the ability to create flyers' I also likes the custmer service people through chat box they were the best Cons I didnt like talking to the rep; She seemed every time that she just wanted to git rid of me; Benchmark showed that I had 400 un opened emails; I called many of these customers ( the 400 unopened) They did not even receive an email; ( scary) I then called bench mark and told them this; They responded that is because the un opened emails are in your customer's spam file , Once again I started calling customers and told them to check their spam and of course they did ( the benchmark emails were not in their spam either) Benchamark from what i can see is a very poor service; They tell you u have un opened emails and this is not true. (The emails not being sent) The rep is not helpful at all' I am going to have to cancel my credit card because something is not right with this company' Constant contact is much easier and effective i am sincerely sorry to have to make this review/ I t is not my style' Something is wrong with this company Review Source DB Dan B. August 19, 2014 5.0 I am a marketer for an eCommerce company in the Promotional Products industry, and have to consistently look up advertising emails from our suppliers to market. With Benchmark's new email editor, many of the emails I received have looked significantly better! One of our suppliers originally seem to email an image altogether, with the image itself linking to one landing page. Now, with the new editor, I see the same supplier advertising many promotional items, all properly linked, and incorporating beautiful banners as well! It has done well not only for that business, but for me to use these emails when I forward it to my customers. The main difference is that in Benchmark you can use 1 form for 2 different signups which you can't in Mailchimp and you get a full autoresponder as a free account with Benchmark. In Mailchimp you need to send emails manualy. The pricing also favours Benchmark. Cons Currently, the only con I can think of would be the user interface design which could be improved. They do have a lengthy approval process for lists which is good to make sure they keep the spam down but it makes sending an email the same day you add a list difficult. Pros It's really easy to use! You just pull blocks over where you need them so it's easy to build yourself a custom look instead of just using a template. Cons It's hard to customize the color and text. There are sets and palettes you can pick from, but if you want to mix and match or deviate from those presets it can be chore. Very reasonable rates and they offer a great discount for non-profit orgs. Pros Very intuitive for a beginner/limited user of email software. I was able to produce and edit a great looking campaign within hours of purchasing my plan. The subscriber list transfer was also very smooth and testing the emails with my team was very easy prior to initiating the full send. Definitely like the easy to read analytics and reports generated. Cons I think the email body editing interface could have better formatting options, but it works great for what we need. Pros What I like most about benchmark is how easy it is to create and run a campaign, it guides you step by step and allows you to better organize the list of subscribers to email newsletters, it can be used for free with certain limitations as to to the number of emails and subscribers to handle. The templates available are modern and attractive even the free ones. Cons I could not integrate it correctly to program the newsletters of an ecommerce developed with the magento software, although benchmark offers that possibility my version of magento is not the latest version so it did not work well. Pros The interface is pretty intuitive and easy to use. The drag and drop editor makes designing simple. Cons I have had problems in the past uploading lists from Excel documents where the system would just freeze on the loading screen and never upload the list. In order to get the emails in the system, I either had to contact support and have them upload it or upload each email individually.
