We have a multi-million customer base. So the Big data team wanted an ETL tool which can manipulate the high volume of data with high performance. After long research, we chose ODI. We have installed the ODI in a clustered environment. Basically it runs on top of the Oracle Weblogic Server. However, install installation was quite hard. But we were able to manage that. We could able to interface ODI with hundreds of supported data sources. Finally, I can say this the best and most advanced ETL tool I have ever worked. Pros +Support thousands of data sources. +Deployment time could be cut down +Can be interface with many 3rd party tools. +High performance and flexibility. Cons +Implentation is hard. +Not supported on Solaris OS. + Lack of community support. +High license cost.
