Pros: The concept of Trello, boards for tracking projects and the like, is good, especially for visual people.

Cons: I just don't get it. It's a bunch of random cards, akin to digital post-its all over the place. It does nothing to facilitate efficiency.

Overall: I've tried it many times and has gotten me nowhere. However, several of my clients use it so I imagine it has value to many folks out there.

Pros: Nothing. I really can't see why would you want to use it, or for what.

Cons: can't figure out why would anyone want to use it. Not intuitive and I can do the same with less complicated software or even a regular .doc.

Overall: can't find the way to like it

Pros: Farily easy to use quickly, Easy-ish to use for small project/lists

Cons: KanBan are not for everyone. I tried to use them and get into it, but ended up preferring a classic list approach. I would not want to manage large lists on this, but again, so far I'm not a KanBan fan. But I am a rhymer :)

Overall: easy to use, fairly intuitive, just hard to get on board with the KanBan approach

Pros: I like that you can create a free account and test things out before committing your company to the purchase.

Cons: Organization of boards. I don't think it is an intuitive design. Each board has a different organization method, or lack thereof.

Overall: I think Trello is better suited for smaller companies. We are too big and this system isn't organized enough.

Pros: It's cool that you can make boards and cards and move them around, and it's great that their free options are pretty inclusive so small teams aren't having to go out of pocket just to manage a few things.

Cons: I would never pay for this app, even if I had a bigger team. I think the horizontal work flow coupled with the vertical flow makes sense if you don't have a lot of stuff going on, but its really awkward at times. Also the way images are displayed in cards is very arbitrary and seems like it was designed more for picture viewing, rather than optimizing workflow. Removing the large image preview in favor for a small grid preview layout would probably help. Also it's annoying how when creating a new card you hit new card and it only allows you to name it... it's like what do you think I want to do with the card after creating it? I want to edit it... so why make me click again on it to edit it, its a really annoying extra click for no reason. The commenting section also has a lot of things going on. It's kind of like a news feed and a comment section, they should separate these two things. I have a really hard time understanding the flow of comments on Trello.

Pros: Easy to create multiple views of the tickets. Organize information based on audience.

Cons: A little limited on the export options. i am using the free version. Could use a little more functionality on the tagging side of tickets to be able to organize and identify items on a Kanban type of board.

Overall: Nice piece of software to help gather ideas from large groups. Easily organized and moved around.

Pros: I liked that Trello was free and that it was something I could access even if I was not connected to wifi. Customer service was always prompt in their assistance and responsiveness.

Cons: I really had trouble using Trello and eventually had to stop using it entirely for another similar software (wunderlist). I regularly had trouble adding items to the list and even then they would mysteriously disappear a few minutes after adding them. Customer service was very helpful, but it became so difficult to navigate that I realized it just wasn't worth it. I tried using Trello for about 2 months and gave up.

Pros: In terms of simplicity it is very easy to learn no matter your skill level.

Cons: It is too basic; like musical chairs for post-it notes. Organizing tasks is not effective in terms of deadlines, assignments, notes, or anything of that sort. If you are using it as a daily to do list personally, sure it works well. But beyond that, avoid it. Far better options on the market.

Pros: I wanted to like Trello. I really did, but it is way too confusing to integrate into my business and my routine. It was cool how you could create different boards for different projects, but from there it got way too confusing.

Cons: Since this program is so confusing I find it to be a waste of time. I don't personally have the time to learn how this program works so I'd rather use something that is going to be easy and effective from the get go. Plus, if it's that hard for me to learn then imagine how I'm even supposed to integrate it with clients that aren't familiar with it? Yeah, no thanks.

Pros: I liked getting rid of this software. I would never voluntarily use it again.

Cons: Trello is intended to boost efficiency and organization, but instead adds to confusion.

Overall: I disliked it greatly.

Pros: Trello has been a godsend and one of the reasons why I stay productive. Now granted its not for everyone, and some features have now been copied by other producivity suites, there are still a lot of reasons to like Trello. Here are my reasons to consider it: The card based system is just genius, being able to move cards from one list to another list is a visually satisfying experience to say the least. But its not just that, the cards act like tasks you have to complete, so you can use cards to say The PowerUps - Now granted Trello still lags behind in integration with other tools but its PowerUps make up for that. PowerUps like Card Aging allow you to make cards disappear if nothing is done about them. Freemium - Trello is free to start using and you only have to pay when you want unlimited PowerUps. The truth is most people will get away with using the free version, the paid version is mostly for teams. The fact that using Trello starts at the price of free is really something. Definitely "worth" the money.

Cons: Cons 1) Small number of PowerUps - Power Ups were meant to bring third party integration to Trello and yes there are a lot of great ones like Slack, Google drive but I feel they are somewhat still lacking. If there could be more integrations, it would be the main reason to switch to Trello 2) Value proposition to switch to the Paid version is not so strong. In my opinion the paid version of Trello is not worth your money, sure you get unlimited Power Ups and higher upload limits but it just feels like it would be better to pay a one time fee to access Power Ups then pay a monthly fee. Overall Trello is a good productivity tool, it has helped me stay on top of smaller projects and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who likes to use visual aids to remind them

Great for the basics, but struggles with anything more.

Pros: Trello is great, it's simple to use, and has loads of clever UX devices that make tracking and updating tasks a joy. We use it quite often within our organisation whenever something needs "organising fast" - we're not expecting to track the progress of the entire project through Trello, but the occasional breakout.

We've most often used Trello to round up our "ideas" phase, and then moved onto a more complex project management tool after that.

The interface is simple, the free level is "about right" and there are just enough features for you to get going quickly.

Trello is great for quick organisational tasks, that need to be presented in a visual way, or they are good for information sharing (literally a pin-board of ideas works well) - and has reduced the need for post-it-notes everywhere in the office.

Cons: There comes a point in every Trello boards life when the user will go "ok, now it's time to move this all away from Trello"

Task management is .. laborious at best, with no real way of tracking time, burndowns, productivity, velocity, or any other metric that tells a project manager if the job is "getting done", it's simply not built for that and trying to implement methods that will make it work, just result in frustration.

It's also a bit lightweight on the features for the free trial version, quite a few things are locked off behind the paywall (which is fine) - but also, we feel that there isn't *enough* features behind the paywall which would incentivise us to purchase a license.

So the bottom line with Trello is it's great for short term, simple tasks and idea sharing, but anything more heavy duty that needs to be updated regularly and it will struggle.

Overall: It helps us with quick organisational tasks, and seeing ideas laid out infront of us does help with productivity. But sometimes Trello just isn't powerful enough for actual task management and tracking, and this is a chore having to move your cards into another system all the time. It should have a pro-level tier for people who want more control over their management of the boards.
