Pros

One of the best survey tools available, the level of customizations in qualtrics is unbeatable. Any complex survey questionnaires/logic can be configured into the survey tool. The ability to integrate with an incentive platform is also a plus. I really like all the built-in features and automatic suggestions. Ideal for big enterprise-level surveys across the globe.

Cons

If your questionnaire requirement is complex, qualtrics is the best option, but for simple straightforward questionnaires it is not a great option, Would love to have more standard / minimized templates targetting smaller use cases as well, The data loading time and search function could be improved

Streamlines and expedites the collection, analysis, and dissemination of large volumes of data across the organization, putting staff in closer control of their projects.

Pros

It handles all phases of the online data collection in a variety of modes, whether surveys are distributed by email, posted online, shared via social media, etc. Developers make constant improvements and welcome input from users. It includes a lot of lesser-known but very handy features that improve the experience for survey respondents and researchers alike. Although it's mainly point-and-click based, it does allow some customizations with html, css, and javascript for those who are familiar with them. The design control is user friendly; with Qualtrics it takes little effort to create visually appealing online surveys and forms! Finally, in an enterprise account like ours, the number of different options that can be enabled and disabled for users sets Qualtrics far apart from other tools I've used.

Cons

I would like to see a little more customization available for standard respondent messages, and enhanced validation between numeric fields and with calculations. Bounced email diagnostics would also be very helpful to have.

### "Qualtrics is the one"

Qualtrics is simple to set up, and it always looks professional. It's also versatile, so you can adapt it however you like. In general, I've found it to be mostly very easy to use and a great tool for collecting data. The survey flow could use some work, I found it a bit difficult to navigate, and once adapted a question simply because I don't think I could have managed it easily with the survey flow tool. The scoring tool had some glitches -- I think the Qualtrics team has been working on this specifically because on my last project it wasn't as bad. Here's the thing though -- it can be as simple as you need it to be. The option to use Qualtrics for more complex applications is there, and it's great for those. But you don't need to be a pro to get the most out of this!

Pros

It's intuitive, flexible and the additional survey options make it absolutely excellent for different kinds of research.

Cons

If you're processing a lot of data it can be very slow, survey flow and scoring are tricky.

We primarily use qualtrics for the ease of participant gathering, which it is excellent at. But having now tried a few alternatives it's pretty clear that qualtrics is particularly good for post collection analysis too. the reports and data packages have a lot more on offer than other, admittedly cheaper, options.

Pros

I love the flexibility of options in terms of how you can deploy questions and the type of questions you can ask using this software. What you can do with the data afterward is just as excellent too. The fact that they have been around for a while seems to be paying dividends here as they have been adding desirable features over the years and clearly listening to what people want.

Cons

Customer service has been fine to deal with but they are a bit slower than I'd like to respond to queries. Pricing can occasionally wander a little more than would be expected.

We use it for various customer insight surveys that we need more functionality than Google Forms can give us.

Pros

It has everything, and I mean everything, you could feasibly want in a survey tool. For example you can set up complicated survey flow logic. While Google Forms only lets you skip blocks based on survey logic, Qualtrics lets you skip individual questions based on survey logic.

Cons

It's pricey. Our plan had us at $1 per response. When I asked about the pricing and whether I could use it, our IT person looked at our plan and saw "Unlimited" and thought it was therefore free--so we made plans to use it, and then learned later that this was misleading and we had to pay $1 per collected response.

This has been a great tool for surveying large groups of students when I need information fast and easily accessible.

Pros

I like variety of question styles I can use to get unique answers from students completing my survey- but also the variety is engaging and stops a student from losing interest half way.

Cons

I have not found a feature I do not like about Qualtrics survey.

I don't personally make surveys using Qualtrics CoreXM, however, I've noticed that a lot of surveys I take are marked with Qualtrics in the URL, so I can assume that they were created using Qualtrics. I love the professional modern look and easy navigation of Qualtrics surveys, they are among my most favorite surveys to take. Thank You.

Pros

As a survey taker, I often come across surveys made with Qualtrics, these surveys are light, simple and easy to navigate through, and almost have an intelligence to them.

Cons

I I think, sometimes when I take Qualtrics surveys, they may take a while to load, however, that may just be due to my computer / internet connection. Nevertheless, Qualtrics surveys are among the best.

Pros

Qualtrics is very robust. It has so many functionalities that I cannot think or any data collection process that it could not meet my needs. I can always collect exactly what I want. I love creating surveys in Qualtrics. The customer support is the best I have seen. The help/resource page is extremely comprehensive and easy to follow. I have fun building survey in Qualtrics. I always say: "These Qualtrics people know what they are doing!"

Cons

Sometimes it takes too much html coding to achieve the perfect look you are trying to achieve - complex font and style formatting are a bit time consuming at times.

Pros

Qualtrics is an excellent tool for researching and collecting information. We use this with our clients and with our students. It is easy to use and you learn from using the application, you do not need any special training or special knowledge to be able to use it. Also, we have never received any complaints or feedback from any of the people we have surveyed. In the past we used a tool that caused a lot of problems and it was not easy to use, which did not give us any productive results, but we have never had any issues with Qualtrics.

Cons

It gets a little confusing when you want to add several criteria to questions. The idea behind that function is actually great, but the way it is set up is actually hard sometimes.

I benefit from the ease of survey design, and my research benefits from the complexity of surveys that you can design!

Pros

What I like the most about this software is that once you get a hang of the smaller quirks and settings, you are able to do incredible things in terms of survey design and distribution. The ability to design complex experiments with logic branches and switches that are triggered by the number of people that have taken the survey or even answered a specific question in a specific way is extraordinary. Even with all of this that I've mentioned, almost everything is done without the need of knowledge of javascript - something very intimidating to many.

Cons

What I like least about this software is that it has a rather shallow learning curve - that is, it takes a long time to get used to its quirks. Slowly but surely you will become comfortable, but it is only once you have taken the time to read through their guides or done enough trouble shooting yourself.

Pros

There are some great back end features in Qualtrics. You can analyze data in so many ways, track responses so easily, and view analytics quickly! The ease of creating a survey is amazing! The actual creation process is so user friendly that it really is an awesome software to use.

Cons

Sometimes, the analysis portion of this software is a bit tricky. Definitely a learning curve to this, however if you export all results into a CVS form on Excel and use a Pivot Table to analyze, that's also easy! I'm just still learning the software though, so I'm sure that there is a way to do that within the system.

This software was used by our firm for a primary market research project and helped us gain market insights. It is very convenient and performed efficiently for our business purpose, thoroughly impressed

Pros

The dashboard is crisp, simple and very user-friendly. The best part is that the tool is mobile friendly and you can organize your survey efficiently. I liked the customer service too as they are quick to resolve all queries.

Cons

The survey tool doesn't show whether the survey email has been read or not, however, it certainly displays whether a survey is in progress or has been completed by a respondent.

As an Outreach Clinician on a college campus I frequently have to get opinions, interests, and availability of multiple contacts in a variety of demographics and as a user I am able to share others contact databases and view ongoing projects. Using this as an RSVP function allows me to gather interest, plan events, take reservations and easily reach out to respondents who have/have not responded (but it would be easier it more contacts could be added to ONE distribution after the fact to reduce the number of them that have to be sent when there are stragglers.)

Pros

Trackability and ease of statistical evaluation when you're not a math-minded individual. There are plenty of "how-to's" and user instructions for producing high quality surveys quickly.

Cons

How the contacts work for adding more contacts to a signal distribution. Also, there is some trouble in getting the import function for .csv files for contacts.

Options and ability to control what I want to do and when, with very little (if any) developer assistance.

Pros

The product is fairly intuitive and easy to use. I love the ability to go in and alter the look and feel on my own (with a previous vendor we had to open a ticket for any little change). It has opened the door wide open for our voice of customer program on all platforms!

Cons

Because there are so many options and ways we can do things, there is a bit of a learning curve for someone like myself that is new to the industry.

Qualtrics has been absolutely vital in allowing us to better understand how our customers feel about our products and brands. We have been able to make a lot better business decisions based off of survey results from Qualtrics.

Pros

Qualtrics is easily one of the best survey tools out there. Pretty much the only limit to the types of questions and data you can get is your imagination. Surveys are becoming more and more valuable as you try to provide the best user experience for your customers, and Qualtrics is the king of surveys.

Cons

If you're looking for a simple survey without a lot of complexity, Qaultrics might not be for you. Because of how complex you can get, Qualtrics seems more geared towards the harder/more in-depth surveys. that's not to say you can't use Qualtrics for even the simplest of surveys, you just won't be getting the best bang for your buck. Some of the data exports can come back not user friendly as well.

Pros

Seems to be a great survey tool but that's not how we use it. However, when support is needed, Qualtrics is on top!

Cons

Toss up between the reporting feature in Research Core and Vocalize (dashboard). The reporting feature is not user friendly and does not allow a way to trend errors. We are using it as an audit tool and it's like pounding a square peg into a round hole. Vocalize has too many limitations and is next to impossible to get a roll-up of several survey responses into a single dashboard.

Better data. Better reports. Less headaches.

Pros

The best part of the software is the UX; it is so intuitive and clean that it makes you want to use it and keep exploring. Beyond that, the customer support is exemplary. You can get in contact with a real person in minutes and they not only help you with basic questions, but also complex in-the-moment project questions as well. I even had one support person goes as far as film themselves doing what I needed to do with my survey to make it work, which was so helpful because I'm a visual learner.

Cons

This is a unique case, but I took the certification exam and I felt as though their study material was not near comprehensive enough for the actual questions asked on the test. But for overall use, there isn't much I would change especially when you compare it to other survey platforms on the market.

### "Qualtrics: More Than Just a Survey"

Qualtrics is much more than survey software. In fact, I use it for everything but surveys. I've begun the creation of Quick-Help support tool that is powered by Qualtrics. A user is taken down specific path based on his/her individual needs. After entering the needed information, emails are fired off to the people who can fulfill the user's request. The ability to use Qualtrics as my own kind of ticket support system is crucial to fulfilling our users' needs in a systematic and efficient way.

Pros

I love how granular you can get with every type of action you want to perform. You can use general methods for logic, or create your own with ease. Qualtrics is can be generic as you want, or as customizable as you need.

Cons

I wish Qualtrics wouldn't charge for additional question types. For example, add the form upload and signature question types, you have to pay a fee for each.

Create surveys and analyze data at a basic to advanced level.

Pros

Qualtrics allows for the creation of basic up to advanced surveys, with a robust platform that is there when you need it, but optional when you don't. I appreciate that Qualtrics has predictive tools such as suggestions for the type of question and even for the available answers. It is easy to rearrange questions and while there is a small learning curve, using tools such as "flow logic" for advanced options. Further, the tool provides options for organizing your surveys and makes it easy to deploy/close them from the site.

Cons

While the survey setup is relatively easy, downloading data can often be burdensome and time-consuming. For my work, I often want to drill down and few answers based upon a selected response, but while viewing it on the website does not take long, compiling and downloading a PDF report is something that I don't look forward to doing.

I have utilized Qualtrics for a long list of purposes, and its features allow for a very diverse use basis. While Qualtrics shines as survey software, it can also be used for validation purposes as well a means to redirect customers or students based on need (dictates by questions they answer).

Pros

It it easy to begin building surveys, however, there are an incredible number of ways to customize Qualtrics for various purposes. In some cases, coding or branch logic may need to be set up, however, Qualtrics can be used as a validation tool, as a survey software, as a means to hold a virtual orientation through the inclusion of videos, or even as a means to link users to a meeting or other resource. The options are limitless.

Cons

It is easy to get started with Qualtrics, but it can be challenging to master. Setting up Branch Logic or Display Logic can be frustrating for some users, however, I do find that some of the visual organization tool help to allay some of these concerns. Fortunately, there is an incredibly large database of support materials. I have found customer support to be very communicative and helpful.

Pros

It's super easy to learn how to use Qualtrics and set up great surveys. I love the mobile-view feature, the opportunity to add built-in themes/branding, and ability for the survey to be translated to various languages. I recommend Qualtrics to students and staff that I work with, and they have all been amazed at how fantastic a resource it is.

Cons

Some features are a little trickier to figure out, and while overall it's easy to use, it can take a few days/weeks to start to really feel comfortable and aware of all of the features available. Would be great to have more enhanced tutorials available for both new and continuing users so we're aware of what's possible.

Pros

I like the fact that software offers a variety of pathways for building surveys. The display logic is very helpful for creating large custom surveys that go out to a variety of potential respondents on our campus. In addition, the software is rather intuitive to use, which is a help when coming into a new position and having to learn on the fly. Finally, the support offered by Qualtrics is top-notch. Every representative that I have live-texted with or called on the telephone has been helpful and provided the exact answer that I needed.

Cons

There are no cons that I can readily think of. The software is very good, well-executed, and intuitive.
