It has options for online and offline surveys. Importing questions from previous surveys is seamless, editing and reordering questions is simple. There are built-in features for a wide range of question and response situations. Qualtrics overs 24-hour support and tutorials for complex programming tasks to get you the design you need. The support staff are professional, friendly, fast and knowledgeable. Cons Ocassionally I've run into glitches and had to delete and re-enter questions to get rid of an issue. July 15, 2017 5.0 Pros The feature of Qualtrics I like the most is that the sky is the limit in terms of it's versatility. One can make a very simple, straight-forward survey or one can use sophisticated logic and make a very complex survey. This versatility allows me to use Qualtrics for any job I have. Cons In it's current state the Insight Platform reporting features are less-than ideal. They are making progress and things are getting a little better, but there is a long way to go. In some cases, the website does not provide information (for example when closing responses in progress, it's not clear when all responses are closed) Many export formats is a plus, but variable names are not consistent across formats I have encountered bugs several times in the past. Pros Market research is a convoluted field these days. Distributing surveys is a tough sell because everyone wants to do it and marketers ruin everything. Qualtrics allows survey distribution to be made simple with excellent reporting tools. The form tool is nice as well, it doesn't look too templated or generic and allows for customization. Cons The training materials are a bit lacking. They have some out there but it isn't as detailed as you'd hope. This is made somewhat okay because the software itself is so well designed that most things come to you intuitively. January 9, 2018 5.0 The robustness and customization ability of ResearchSuite. It allows me to successfully use this as a self-service data collection tool. Pros The ease and robustness of the functionality of Survey Design, in particular the features within Survey Options and Tools is very robust and allows you to customize specific to your needs. Data and Analysis tab also has great functionality. Cons My least favorite feature for the Qualtrics ResearchSuite platform would have to be the Reports tab, as it has limitations in terms of reporting formatting ability. And the downloads to Excel require that I do some significant formatting on my own to get it to my specific needs. But its good value for the money. It is easy to build and export your data. They also have updated and given a guide that tells you ways to improve your survey before you publish it. Cons I can't think of any because they seem to always have a new feature update to keep the platform fresh and competitive. I love this software and would love to become some sort of certified expert user if at all possible. Pros I love how easy it is to use. For the most part, I am able to figure out detailed changes without consulting with FAQs online. It's a very logical setup, easy to share links, and has an aesthetically pleasing layout. Cons The only thing I've struggled with so far is the default reporting. I don't like that each question is on a new page; that's not very useful in any context for which I apply it. I wish there was a button that would automatically fit everything within a certain number of pages, or at least eliminate white space on the default results report. Review Source MATHEW M. So I want to continue use it. Pros I do often qualtrics survey which is provided by qualtrics software. Qualtrics is very good at arranging the survey nicely for the clients. Cons I do not find any bad side of qualtrics software. Because when I do survey it works uninterruptedly. Pros I loved that this could be used to collect online surveys, transferred for paper surveying, and the data and results clearly laid out. The option to have multiple types of questions was also incredibly helpful. Pros I use Qualtrics every day to conduct surveys and gather research on a variety of industries. Qualtrics makes it easy to have a variety of different surveys, customize them for different people, and more. Cons When you mass send out a survey through Qualtrics, it often ends up going into people's spam folders. Also, sometimes the piped text features as well as adding contacts can be overly complicated. One of the most useful features is the distributions feature where we could have survey's open for a specific time. This allowed us to send surveys without the fear of people overstuffing our results. The ability to create personal links is an added bonus. But perhaps the most important feature is the ability to generate reports within the program. Over it is easy to use and user friendly. Cons I didn't like the fact that the free version had limited capabilities. However, I understand the program needs to make money. Luckily, the free version had everything we needed! Pros Easily write, edit, and send surveys that follow review board standards and maintain data privacy for participants. Qualtrics combines the ease of a Google Forms type application with the multitude of features needed to navigate quantitative and qualitative survey question data. Replicate questions, create multiple versions of a survey and save them, see participant completion rates and send out secure links easily as well. Cons Costs more than free options such as surveymonkey, etc. but the ability to save your data and see multiple outputs of that data is worth it. Review Source Gina R. We recently switched to Qualtrics from Fluidsurveys (acquired by SurveyMonkey) and have absolutely no regrets. Building surveys is extremely easy and their library with predefined choice options & questions is a real time saver. Via their API we are able to present survey results directly to clients through our own platform. Yes, maybe Qualtrics is a bit more expensive than other SAAS solutions out there, but I haven't seen any organization delivering support as good as they do. We are a small professional services firm and at first I thought Qualtrics was (purely) focused on large enterprises. But honestly, I feel like a real valued customer. Pros Extremely versatile, easy to use, extensive knowledge library (university). Cons At first glance their workflow is different from other survey software vendors out there. But reading some articles on how to achieve advanced survey objectives, it totally makes sense. It is great for use in a university or research setting -- and you can collect an enormous amount of data in a user-friendly way. The layout of the software is relatively intuitive and easy-to-use, and there are a number of customization options that allow an individual to ask pointed questions and collect large amounts of samples. The software also provides a secure link, which allows the person taking the survey to recognize the professionalism and legitimacy of the survey. Cons If you're just taking an informal survey or collecting informal opinions for something other than a professional research project, you can probably find better (and cheaper) options elsewhere. I think what makes Qualtrics stand apart from other programs is that is can be used and appreciated by novice tech users to skilled coders. If you want to make a quick-and-dirty survey tool, it's got you covered. If you want to use API and embed your survey into your website and receive real-time data analysis, you can do that, too. The ability to buy a single subscription for your entire organization can make this very cost effective, too. Cons I've only contacted Qualtrics customer support once for a connection issue I couldn't resolve on my own. Unfortunately, they rely on the email us your issue and we'll get back to you method of troubleshooting (albeit, along with a plethora of FAQs), and I never received a response. You can hear the smiles in their voices and each one seems to really love their job. Yesterday and today Mark helped me with a particularly involved survey flow, and his suggestions and information led to the best outcome for us. And of course, the annual summits are unbelievable! Pros Ther are many things I love about this piece of software, but the two that stand out are its research core and real-time online sampling. Being heavy into numbers and "big data"... this software platform provides the market researcher a depth not found in many other platforms. The power on its computational abilities is the real power behind the brand. Cons A fairly steep learning curve for a novice or first-time research project manager. It is also the kind of platform that will perform so many more things and can - if the user is not careful - provide an information overload to that user. Pros The dashboard and reporting capability is powerful if you put in robust info. As well, it integrates with Salesforce CRM. The look and feel is good too. Once you learn how to use it, it’s easy to keep up. Cons Setup in Clunky. The AM said the upgrade was port over all our survey info to the upgraded account. He also said our surveys would be seen by all users and that isn’t true either. It’s taking a lot more time than we were told. Reason for choosing XM for Strategy & Research The product team was using it so we kind of didn’t have a choice.
