Comments: Make a list of the basic task the doctor does to complete a chart. Then ask them to show you how they perform that task. Don't be like me and take for granted that a doctor can pull up a med, and see the mg dosing, or use a simple auto correct, or upload and save a form without waiting so long it delays your intake. Perhaps choose another software that is actually designed for medical doctors.

Pros: Looks professional and has nice colors. It has caused us to become creative and design our own "work arounds", which are costly to our practice but necessary to use this software.

Cons: The software freezes constantly requiring to reload it. The pharmacy meds are listed by full name, then NDC, then mg. They list a multitude of NDC numbers that the doc has to "choose" in order to auto fill. Cannot see the mg of med because the window is so small, requiring the doc to scroll down and across to find the right med. What doctor will know the NDC no. the pharmacist will use? A mystery! Doing the shortcuts for common meds is very time consuming since a lot of meds are prescribed and you must input those individually and for each doctor separately. The software will not allow more that 10mb to be uploaded into a chart at a time, and each page takes 10 seconds to save, blocking the use of the software until the save is completed. To upload a 25 pg medical chart scanned to the patient's record requires you to separate it into 5 pages each, wait for the minute to upload before you can move on to the next batch. More than 5 minutes to compete the process before you can use the software. A killer for an office that needs to upload various forms we complete for patients. A CD with 160mb to upload? Impossible. They don't have the common auto correct for medical terminology that other softwares use, requiring time consuming corrections by hand. Any fixes take months and you have to hound the support team to do them. They have to send the requests to a tech committee to review it. They never respond to your request, especially when they cannot or will not do the fix. Now that they are merging with AdvancedMD, they won't consider a fix unless it is urgent. Wait! Our fixes were requested long before the merger, over 6 months ago! And the one task we were promised to be fulfilled within three weeks of our purchasing the product (and as a condition of purchase) is still not done, and it has been over 6 months in the waiting. You cannot see more than one page on the screen so you can review an area while writing the chart. Sadly the staff are unaware of how a busy medical practice is run, or perhaps their hands are tied because the software falls very short of being useful for a medical practice. Not a good match for busy doctors. Many more issues, but I've run out of space.

Comments: I found this software for a client that wanted to use a software that would integrate with their existing Practice Fusion EHR and after some research, we chose NueMD for this practice. This software is very user friendly. I was able to set up the system with the little assistance needed from their training department. However, the training staff was very friendly and helpful! I was so impressed with this software and its support staff, that I have since switched to this software for my own billing company. One appealing consideration for this software for me was their pricing options. The monthly fee is based on your EDI usage, not by provider or user. This is great for companies like mine that services smaller groups. It is nice not to have to spend as much for the client that only does 20 billings in a month vs a client that does over 500 billings in a month. They also have a built-in clearing house that you are required to use. I will admit, I was a bit put off by this at first. I had used the same clearing house for most of my career! I was hesitant to leave them, but it was unwarranted. The NueMD clearing house is actually a great feature. It is very time efficient to have the EDI tracking automatically noted right into your claim. And the cost is included in the monthly fee, so that was another expense that was done away with! Not only do I now pay less for each client than I did before, I no longer have the additional clearinghouse fee. The training and setup fees are also VERY reasonable. They also go at your speed for the training. After 15 years of setting up various billing softwares, I was not wanting to sit through two weeks of training that was unnecessary. While they DO offer the full on training for staff that does not have extensive software knowledge, they were willing to work with me and set up my training to my specific questions and verifying that the setup I did was correct. For me, this was a huge plus that was not offered by other companies. I will say that it does lack some bells and whistles and I cannot speak of the EHR component as I do not utilize that service, but overall it is a great billing software and I would definitely recommend them! I made the switch 6 months ago now and my client has been on for 9 months. We are both very happy with our choice in this product.

Pros: Pricing, ease of setup and use, claims management screen is a great tool, EHR integration, pricing, support staff, amazing user guides!, clearinghouse included, oh and did I mention GREAT PRICING??!! One of the best assets of NueMD is the New Account rep, Michael Palmer! What an amazing rep! He stays with you until the end of your set up. He follows up with you on a regular basis to ensure all aspects are being completed as quickly as possible. I have never experienced that before. Usually, once you are handed off to the training and setup, you don't hear from the New Account rep. Not the case with this company. Mr. Palmer is wonderful!

Cons: A/R report lacks patient information. This is frustrating for old-school billers like me that love their reports, but the claims management screen tend to make that a non-issue as all the information you need is on that screen and that screen has all the claims on your reports. Reports, while they can be customized and sorted, there are limited choices in the customizing and sorting. They do have additional reporting packages though if you need advanced reporting. You can only have one session open at a time. Some billers like to have multiple sessions open so that they can field calls while still working on other things without losing a place.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you are looking for a new software, this is a good product.They can answer all your questions and he takes the time to really understand your questions.

Pros: I love NueMD's user-friendly Practice Management software and their Technical Support/Customer Service Team. The application is a breeze to learn, use, and teach to new staff members. I wear multiple hats in my office, and NueMD makes it very easy for me to switch between hats without being overwhelmed. With a system like this, I don't really need support anymore. However, a support team member is always a click away through VNC connect, so I don't even have to spell out my issue in detail. I can just click and connect. Then a representative will see my screen and take care of my concerns. A great feature I hardly see in other PMs is what I like to call "user login transfer." NueMD is a web-based system so you can have access to your system on the go with any browser that has Java. Now say you're a doctor that works with two different systems. Chances are that you have different login information. With NueMD, that's a little different, you can carry your same login credentials between both systems with only an account code to represent the other system. It's just one less thing to worry about if your already a user of NueMD.

Cons: NueMD software comes with a billboard feature on the home screen. A notification pops up whenever a new message/update/news is received. It's okay for the vendor to want to keep all clients informed but I'm never excited to see that "new message" notice on my screen when I log in first thing in the morning. Then I have to retype my password to confirm I've read it instead of just closing it out. Of course, this feature can be changed though the main admin account; however, I'm still not a fan of this little feature.

Recommendations to other buyers: For me, technology is present to make day-to-day tasks flow smoother and to be easier, faster, and as accurate as possible with little to no stress on the user. Anyone in the medical field searching for a PM system with great interface capabilities should bear this in mind and choose accordingly. With my office, the solution was obvious. We wanted a PM that was reasonably priced and user-friendly with easily accessible support, an immediate lab interface, multiple care provider capabilities, and complete billing and coding features for in-house billing, and that could be accessed not just in the office but on the go with a tablet. NueMD was the answer to all our concerns. Given the opportunity, they can be the same for you.

Pros: data entry for demographics

Cons: the customer support, the EHR encounter building

Overall: We have used this software since 2013. We purchased the EHR portion over a year ago and were REQUIRED to receive the training that came with it - for an additional cost. The trainer was never aware of what was discussed in previous meetings and to date has never completed the requirements to access e-prescribing or e- lab results. Numerous follow ups and we are told the paperwork was never received. Each time it is resubmitted, 15 months later...still nothing...
In addition, the many issues that arise with billing submission are rarely resolved by customer service. They send back a generic suggestion that is apparent they do not even thoroughly read the email. The building of the EHR is so time consuming and confusing (even after the $500) that we have STILL not had the time to complete the encounters.
We are currently shopping for something with good customer service and pre-built encounters. The amount of money we are sending them monthly to not even have use is a waste.

Recommendations to other buyers: Get some customer service and technical support that actually follow through with the customer. I have my own job to do and do not have time to be the one to follow up over and over for a resolution.

Pros: The system has a very clean layout. It is easy to use and you can easily transition from one task to another with minimal mouse clicks.

Cons: The customer service seems to be lacking. Especially during set up and withing the EDI department. There is a lack of communication on their end. It will take months to get it up and running and you will be paying for a service you may not be utilizing yet. We are currently in transition and adding a lot of new providers. We have been paying for the billing service without being able to use it. We currently have to enter claims into Availity for our new providers and also into NueMD so we can track when the payments do come in. It is double the work. We are currently pricing other systems and considering going with another company. Just know that you will have to spend a lot of time trying to get in touch with the EDI department and keeping up on their progress to get anything done.

You may also experience issues when training. I have been trained on a few other EHR systems in the past and if you have experience you can pretty much figure this system out on your own. However, we did experience issues with the trainer failing to call on scheduled training days and not following through when we needed them to.

Comments: If you like to wait for answers and have to download a program that takes forever to load this is for you. If you like to have to keep telling the lm over and over again that its a cash patient to take it off hold then this is perfect for your company.

Pros: They did my billing and logged everything. Other than that its a slow program. They even had my phone number wrong on patient statements that they mailed out months after being billed and when patients would call them they would email me. When I asked them to change the number or had queations about the statements no one would respond.

Cons: I really hate leaving bad reviews. I hate to be this person but when you email people for 3 weeks and get 1 phone call and 1 email, something has to be said. The program it self is hard to use. You have to download it and it takes forever to load. Scanning and uploading everything is time consuming. When I reached out to billing for clarity on issues I had with patient statements no one ever got back to me. When I wanted to cancel it took me 2 weeks to get in contact with someone who could actually help. Almost a no later(4days short of) I have to call in and after 30 minutes I find our my cancellation date is in 2 weeks and the last bill will be in January. So I am essentially paying for services that should have been canceled because no one wanted to cancel when I first asked. I don't mind paying for November 16-December 16 because that's the 30 days notice that I gave them however the extra 2 weeks feels like extra money they are trying to take from me. Maybe it's because they never made a lot off of me? Either way, when they were trying to sign me up I got calls and emails. When I tried to cancel I got passed by email to email.

Pros: It was very easy to learn and use. Very effective product for our multi-location office. Great product support. Claims are processed quickly and rejections are down to almost none!

Cons: There is not much that I do not like!! This really is a great product. No complaints on my end so far and I have been using it for 2 years.

Overall: So far this is the best billing software that I have used. I was using a different software prior to the switch and I love it! Nuemd is so easy to learn and use. It makes claims and billing go so much faster. They really do have it figured out to help out with production. I have recommended this product to several other physician offices. The scheduler is very easy to customize to any practice schedule. Easy to use with multiple locations without confusion! Nuemd was very easy to adjust to. Learning it was so easy and there is such great product support. Nuemd helps make the billing so much more effective and claims are paid a lot quicker with fewer rejected claims. Also, I LOVE that it is web based that way you can access it anywhere with the internet. That makes a big difference with multiple locations.

Recommendations to other buyers: I really think that any office looking for medical billing software with a scheduler to try out Nuemd before any other. You will be very happy with the results. By far the best software company out there.

Pros: Once therapist side of evaluation, daily, progress, and discharge notes were developed, they worked well. Good training on how to use with therapist side and intuitive. Decent ease with scheduling.

Cons: Billing side is a nightmare. Very poor training for front staff and unorganized. This system after using it 6 months is still way less efficient than our old billing software. We went electronic charts and scheduling to save time and money but excessive front desk time now needed and spend on billing and trying to get answers from clueless customer service. Unable to get correct or helpful advise with customer service or even manager of billing. Would not even answer simple direct emails or return phone calls for answers. Initial set up got our tax ID incorrect and did not get reimbursed from multiple insurances for over 6 months til we got an answer of the issue. I am still paying for two clearing houses due to an insurance still paying half the time through the old system and half the time in the new system. Very slow to get into and use even though cloud based. It took over 22 minutes until I could get back online the other day while I was treating a patient. And constant software updates screw up icons, scanners, or printers where we have to spend lots of hours on IT and problem solving. Beware do not ever sign a contract for this product. I can not wait until mine is up!!

Pros: NueMD is user-friendly for all ages. Our practices encompass staff of all ages, some of whom may never have used a computer and were still able to use most functions. The demographic screen is easily understood, as is the insurance screen. I like the fact that as a billing service for the provider, I am able to assign the office staff certain fields to fill in, and I am able to complete the information for their insurance with the insurance card scanning module. It reduces a lot of headaches if I am able to enter this information from the module. The capability of being able to create separate billing HCFA's is also a great feature. Remembering to enter or delete info in other billing programs is a hassle when you have limited staffing and/or time. Creating a HCFA for a specific service or dos is a great asset. Our practice doesn't use the e-payment module for personal reasons, but I understand it to be a wonderful feature. Being able to post a personal message to a patient and it print on their statement has been a time saver for me. Again, as a billing service, I service two other providers, and their software does not, so I find myself wasting a ton of time handwriting messages to them. NueMD PM, customer support, and client services staff have all been very fair, accommodating, educational, and friendly to me over the past seven years. I do not have a reason to discontinue my use, have referred them to other provider practices, and will continue to do so.

Cons: Some of the reports are confusing to find until you run them routinely. Once you have mastered what you are looking for, it's smooth sailing.

Recommendations to other buyers: Look at the ease of use, the insurance card scanning module, the alert capabilities. As a billing service, there are times when I need to alert the office of specific items to do when patients come in again. The alert option is awesome.

Comments: NueMd has taken the stress out of our claims and payment cycles. Our previous biller was holding claims for 2 weeks before sending them out and then never followed up on the transmissions that didn't go through. We rarely have errors with NueMD and if something gets kicked out by the Clearing House it is easy to identify and correct. We are able to send our claims out in 1 day and receive payments in 3-21 days.

Pros: We brought our billing in-house, and the training and support offered really eased the transition. NueMD made sure we had our accounts set up correctly and walked us through all the steps. I highly encourage purchasing the training if you are nervous about doing this yourself. They provided a workbook and weekly training sessions to make sure we would succeed.

Cons: There are some reports that would be nice features as we are facing QPP. I would love to have a report to print address labels for my patients, and a report that links encounters, dx codes, patient name and our Practice Fusion chart number. We are working with a Qualified Registry and this is something they need to pull data for the quality measures.

Comments: I sought customer service when the Nue MD application I use multiple times per day on my MAC laptop stopped working unexpectedly. After first seeking assistance from our group's external IT contractors - their response was not as timely as I needed, nor did they have sufficient knowledge of the software to immediately diagnose the problem - our organization's billing specialist suggested I call Nue MD directly. She had used the web based and telephone support options successfully in the past and was optimistic Nue MD would be the logical place to find assistance. A wise suggestion. Although it took two separate calls to actually resolve the problem completely, both calls were answered in a timely way, one immediately, and the second call with less than a two minute wait. In both cases, the Nue MD representative was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. In both cases she used a join.me application to gain access to my computer to diagnose and resolve the problem. The solution involved downloading a recent update to Java from the internet. The representative was able to create a new short cut icon on my desktop for ease and conveneince of use. When future interferences arise, Nue MD will be my first call. I can highly recommend their professionalism and responsiveness.

Pros: The support staff is always pleasant. The appointment modules are intuitive, and allow a for separation of modules -- for us mental health versus clinic versus training room) as well as allowing configuration for overnight night patients.

Cons: We are a 24/7 facility, and with only designated individuals authorized to interact with support staff, a problem at 10 PM Friday night stays a problem until the next week. We used to be able to call anytime, but they changed that. The staff has been notified that the time and date change over to the following day at 8PM EST in some modules (though not in others), requiring manual entry in the text box. That has still not been addressed in a couple of upgrades. Also, medications do not show up everywhere, with one entry, and if fact sometimes disappear. Entire entries have been known to disappear, sometimes while you are still entering information. Vital signs have no means of manual entry for the times. This means if you could not enter them at the appropriate time (say due to power outage, server down time, etc.), all entries end up having the date and time stamp when you caught them up. It would be nice to be able to diagram injuries.

Recommendations to other buyers: This is a reasonable product, at a good price. The administrative modules seem to be good (I never hear anyone complaining). Clinically, it is still a work in progress, but they are working on it. Do make sure that your computers have the RAM, etc. for this, or any other program. I believe some of our functionality difficulties have been related to inadequate hardware, and minimal capacity. Make sure you look into that before you invest.

Pros: The ease of use makes this software perfect. It meets all of our billing/reporting needs for a five-provider medical practice. The support from NueMD has been awesome. They offer an online chat support feature, which eliminates so many "phone tag" and voicemail frustrations. The ongoing support in the EDI department for keeping the cashflow going is outstanding. I have had no problem training the staff, including my providers.

Cons: I really do not have any true complaints about the product or vendor. I do have some wishes, such that are probably practice specific for reporting or functionality things that would pertain to this practice. For instances, I would love more options for content and set up on monthly statements. But overall, I feel the product is excellent.

Recommendations to other buyers: I strongly recommend when looking at any software, whether it's an EMR system or Practice Management software, to take the time to evaluate the ease with which you can implement it into your existing operations. This includes the ease with which people will be able to learn how to navigate the software. Secondly, you need to be comfortable with the initial training program that is offered, as well as how accessible the support department is on a daily basis. These were two big reasons NueMD gained our trust, and we continue to be very satisfied customers.

Pros: I love the user friendly function of the system. The billing portion ins great to use. The tickets are easy to get out. I really dont have anything else to add

Cons: The customer service is horrible. I've called and emailed many times with no response. When I first started using Nuemed they were amazing and actually cared about helping a new client. I guess because I'm a small business owner and only have four provider with them, I'm no longer a priority. When my contracts are up I will find another company.

Pros: I like everything about NueMD. The billing software is so easy. My reimbursement rate went up to 98%. The scheduling side is great. I like the color coding for each apt size. When ever I have been stuck on anything they have helped me with live chat or on the phone and even email. I am the office manger and biller. So I do all my billing at home and sometimes real late. When I have had an issue, I would email them and the next day when I returned to work in my mail box would be the fix to my problem.

Cons: I really have nothing bad to say about them. I was a little disappointed when NueMD and Sevocity Broke up. We had did keep Sevocity as our EHR. We have not looked into NeuMD's EHR. But if it is anything like the billing and scheduling it will be wonderful. I have nothing bad to say about the customer support. They are amazing and always so friendly.

Recommendations to other buyers: I started off not knowing anything about medical billing. With the help of our rep, I was able to do it all. We changed from a off site billing company that was around for over 10 years. I brought our monthly reimbursement up $20,000. I am guessing that you know the doctor was impressed. But I could not take all the credit. It was the help of their Support team.

Pros: The NueMD software is usually good although we have run into glitches and errors that interrupt getting work done. It is easy to learn and understand. I really liked the platform and would have stayed if they didn't have such terrible customer service.

Cons: The customer service is atrocious. They were very accommodating in the sales phase but as soon as we were in contract, everything changed. We have to constantly follow up on any request or question and it takes weeks to hear a response. We requested that one of our facilities not be renewed as we were no longer billing for that facility. Not only was the contract automatically renewed, we were made to feel as though it was our fault for not having a short term contract that was never presented to us (we provided multiple emails showing we did not want to renew the contract). We received snide emails from their client services department (with no name attached) trying to justify their sly underhanded business practices. I would definitely NOT recommend NueMD to anyone solely for the terrible customer service and sneaky practices.

Recommendations to other buyers: Customer service matters! I'm currently looking for software that provides a great product with great customer service (maybe a company that provides service geared training to it's staff). My advice would be to NOT get in a contract with NueMD!

Comments: Every time an update takes place we get better and better features! I love that you always have the most current version and it's super easy to use. It is a great product and I've billed on several different billing software's. It is by far my favorite to use!

Pros: It's ease of use. It's very easy to use and not super complicated. Bills don't get lost in the system or work ques.

Cons: I would like to see more features added with mass updates to claims. When I'm turning a patient to collections I'd like to be able to move an entire patient with one click rather than each date individually. Also when changing a patient's claims back to insurance after they were turned to patient, it would be nice to mass update the entire account rather than status each claim.

Comments: It's an OK value for the money but I cannot picture using this for large practices - to little stigmatization

Pros: Grate clearinghouse, no claim issues in 2 years of use. Intuitive and easy ton access anywhere - I even logged in when I traveled abroad.

Cons: to many screen changes to complete an action, no capability of saving stm., no capability of organizing the scanned docs, when you try to pull up previous RA you have to log out and log back in otherwise it will not generate the list. A bit cumbersome to post adjustments as it does not take negative payment and you have to figure out how to enter recoup amounts. Does not update claim status when claims Cross over from medicare - this has to be done manually.

Comments: Would not work for larger practices as there are too many windows to open for just one task.

Pros: The clearinghouse is amazing, never had issues with any claims. Price is good as well. Price is good.

Cons: The payments posting is fairly cumbersome, ERA window does not allow you to look at your ERA and post payments at the same time, unless you import your ERA or print it. Does not changes claims status for COB , you have to manually do that. Loading old ERA window has glitches and you have to log out and back in in order to pull old ERA. If you posted pt payments though the batch function you can no longer print a receipt for the pt once the payment is posted. Customer service is difficult to get in contact with and I do not get notified when tickets are being resolved. Does not seem to have a structure as to how, when and whom will contact you.

Comments: There are many better systems out there that do support their products. Consider them first.

Pros: It is fairly easy to use and learn. System does stay up most of the time and is typically available.

Cons: NO support at all. I have left many phone calls and sent numerous emails an have yet to have any response. Last year when I actually did manage to get someone to respond, they could not help my problem. They said that someone who could help would contact me, but I never heard form them.

Comments: I have used NueMD for about 10 years with several different specialties - OBGYN, Family Practice, Urgent Care, Psych. It has worked extremely well for all practices. I have a small medical billing company, but I also do a lot of training for billing and coding. Using NueMD makes training easy! All of NueMD's support staff - from Sales to Technical Suport - are quick to respond and help! NueMD is definitely my preferred vendor! They make me look good!!

Pros: Ease of setting up new practice and getting both Front Desk and Billing Staff working quickly.

Cons: I do not like having to wait for reports - especially since most of my clients are pretty small practices, but not all reports are set up that way.

Would highly recommend NueMD for your Practice Management. A++++++++++++++

Comments: I am the Office Manager here at a pediatrics office and I absolutely love this software. The majority of my time consists of the patient billing: entering of charges, posting of payments and printing of reports. Each of these are very simple to easy to use. My ONLY complaint is that searching for a diagnosis code, then inserting into the claim is a bit cumbersome. Still haven't mastered it yet, and have been here a year. Posting claims, correcting claims, posting payments and sending statements are all a breeze. Entering of patient demographics is easy to maneuver. The patient insurance screen is so simple. I have used a number of medical software programs, and the insurance screens are by far the easiest with NueMD.

As a manager, I have to print many reports both daily and monthly. The ease of printing a variety of reports with NueMD has made my job easier as well. In addition, as the key administrator for NueMD in our office, my responsibility includes the addition of new employees. Such a simple process. Likewise, adding new insurance companies is a breeze.

In regards to customer service, I feel very fortunate to have the availability to email Dotty at NueMD whenever I have questions. She ROCKS!!! It is very reassuring to know that I typically will receive a very timely reply. There has been a few questions that have taken quite a long time get resolved, but these involved technical support. I am quite certain that every situation can not be resolved immediately. Additionally, we seem to have "NueMD slow" times through out the day, and that can be quite annoying, although I am unsure how the connectivity to the "the Cloud" affects NueMD?

In closing, I would highly recommend NueMD. Best Practice Management software ever!!!

Comments: We have a lot of claims that have been rejected and timely filing this year that we have never received any notification on needing to send information or to even let us know what is going on. I have to constantly stay on top of claims from over a year ago that I still have yet to get answers on why the insurance has not paid them yet. We have a new girl working on our stuff again and she has been actually responding to my emails and all my questions quickly. If this keeps up our Doctor will be happy again. If not I'm not so sure how our contract together will continue and for how much longer. NueMD is a great easy site and seems fairly easy to stay on top of things. Most of our claims it takes two months to get paid on or for that to get posted to someone's account. A lot of times if something doesn't get paid, someone just completely writes it off without consulting with our office first. We also have a lot of trouble with backtracking on our policy; ex: well child check injections are not to be charged for Medicaid, this was explained in the early stages yet still a year later no one seems to know you aren't suppose to file those charges! Customer Service these past few months has been awful; however, we are hopeful that it will change. I feel as if we are left in the dark and when we question something that has been done, we are punished for it or we get the "so and so" will call you back / email you this week, and then we get NOTHING for months. It's frustrating and hard to explain to patients why all of a sudden they have a $30-$120 bill from something in 2013 when were in the beginning of August!

Pros: Was a little less expensive, they did send out statements every month as agreed to. They deposited the checks directly into the bank.

Cons: When I quit using them and after 90 days, to get my remaining data to continue to bill for the money they hadn't collected they extorted more money before they would send the disc with my accounts on it so I could have my new billing collect the money they hadn't.

Comments: I am no computer guru, nor do I aspire to be. That is actually the beauty of NueMD. With the technology constantly changing and updates in the medical industry constantly being made, this is the perfect software in which you don't have to worry about keeping up with those changes. I had to do re-search for a new software program for our surgical assist practice. We wanted something internet based that we did not have to worry about system updates and backup's in addition to the ease of use from anywhere. My concerns were getting our providers set up with the electronic claims submissions in a timely manner so when we moved from one system into the next it would be as seamless as possible. Cost was also a factor. The initial set up fee and monthly fee was in line with it's competitors and sometimes on the lower end. The staff at NueMD helped this set-up process to be fast and manageable. Everything that we needed for our practice was something that we had option of use. Initially we sent out all of our patient statements but realized it was just too time consuming and not cost effective. We were able to adjust our account at a later date to subscribe to this service which was a financially sound decision. I also worried that being internet based that this could be an issue with constant conectivity. There have been very few times that the system has been down in the years that we have been a client and it was back up typically within the hours. I have found this software to be a great asset to our practice. I would highly recommend it to any medical practice that is looking for great quality, great price, ease of use and ample resource options with regards to questions and concerns.

Pros: Their support system is always available if you have any questions, whether it be a representative on the phone or online assistance, I have never had an issued contacting them.

Pros: The best features are the updates! There's no CD to install with all of the hassles that come with it; all updates are done for you. The next feature that we like the best about NueMD is the claim processing. It's so simple and easy. Select the claims to send, click a button, and that's it! If you have claims that can't be submitted electronically, NueMD will send them for you or you can print right from your computer. Another great feature is the claim followup. If a claim hasn't been paid within a certain time, you can resubmit with a click of a button, or you can have NueMD check the claim status. NueMD is also online software, and you can access it from anywhere. Not only that, but you can access it right from your iPhone or iPad. One more thing: there is online live help which is extremely helpful.

Cons: Our office does a significant amount of recalls, and we would like to have a feature in the last attendance section to print labels or at least export them to a spreadsheet.

Recommendations to other buyers: I recommend trying each section at the home screen. Try the scheduling screen. The page shows the most needed icons, patient check-in, eligibility, and copay posting. You can also see the batch payment, either for the insurance or the patient. If you have a number of payments on one check, you can post it all in one screen. The patient section has all the information that is needed, and you can also add your own personalized information to the area.

Comments: Our practice has been a NueMD client for several years now and we have never looked back.

NueMD is a great Practice Manager platform that adapts to nearly any practice type / specialty yet remains EXTREMELY user-friendly and functional.

More often than not these days, vendors design systems that are overly cumbersome or too rigid for practical application. Just within our company, NueMD has successfully adapted and been applied to accommodate a Chiropractic Practice, Office-Based Diagnostics, Durable Medical Equipment, and even Inpatient / Outpatient Diagnostics.

I can not emphasize enough how easy-to-use this platform is. Any average computer user could effectively navigate and work within the NueMD environment with little to no training within minutes. All of the menus and tasks are logical and straight-forward.

Should trouble arise, it always helps that users are never more than a phone call or InstantMessage away from live help (from someone in the United States). Thinking back on the past 6+ years, I can not recall more than one or two times when we could not access the system, thus it is extremely reliable.

NueMD has done a good job of keeping the program fresh and staying current with required guidelines and regulations via automatic updates and visual facelifts. From the practice point of view, one less thing we have to worry about goes a long way in allowing us to focus on our business.

I would highly recommend this platform to any potential client in search of an effective cloud-based practice manager solution.

Pros: You can design whichever templates you want they've got access to scores of public data and lists and up-to-date information which they can help you in a great and as you start to implement and discover small changes you want to make they are very responsive and quick at making them to make your life as easy as possible because even with a ton of preparation and reading you'd simply don't know what you don't know I think getting a product that isn't concretely structured is probably the best pro in addition they close second would be the staff at every level is responsive and great

Cons: There is no video telemedicine capacity at this time. Also some of the navigation at first is not as intuitive as I would've liked however it was easy to learn

Comments: Excellent customer service and wonderful training available! Started the billing on my own, but my practice started to grow, so I switched to their billing service. Wow, is it ever easy now! I have perfect communication with my new team and feel even more confident in my growing practice to keep adding more patients since I know I can handle the volume on the business side.

Pros: I like the ease in which it is to use! I am an individual provider learning the ropes of billing! When I expressed that I was getting overwhelmed with the volume of bills I was putting through I was given the option of moving towards having their service do the submitting for me. Very inexpensive!

Cons: Wish it was cloud based. I am on the go, and don't always have my lap top with me. I travel to different practice locations so a cloud based solution would be wonderful.

Comments: Overall this product is very easy to use and learn. Customer service are always really helpful. They are always coming out with newsletters that are helpful guides or new things they have added to the software for an update.

Pros: I love how everything transfers over to the next screen as long as you have saved your information. I also like how you can stop in the middle of completing the patient information and if you have new insurance to add you can just save and go to top and automatically set up the new insurance information for the facility and then hit back and it will take you right back to the page you were on previously. Software is very easy to learn and they have great training sessions also they can set you up with some guides that take you step by step through the process of getting started.

Cons: The only thing I do not like is when looking up dx codes it doesn't always take you to the correct code if you are putting in partial information and you have to word the dx just right for it to pull up a code you don't have stored in your settings. It would be a lot easier to have a encoder that also helps you with edits.

Pros: What I like best about this product is the versatility, and the ability to build your database for each sort of practice, facility, and auxiliary provider is the best I've encountered. The system is intuitive and obviously built around the needs and demands of everyday challenges encountered by Medical Professionals on a daily basis.

Cons: What I like least is that the product can tend to have times where changing screens can be too slow.

Recommendations to other buyers: When evaluating a software such as this, I would suggest taking a close look at the advantages this product offers: 1). The ease with which you can custom build a database. 2). The ways the system makes it easy to store data and additional documents for each patient chart in order to keep a much more up to date EHR. 3). Billing for claims is simplified by way of having an in-house scrubbing tool as well as an in-house claims clearing house, which saves time and money, making your practice's billing cycle more efficient.

Pros: The steps to add patients, their insurance and then create a ticket is a smooth process. I also like how I can get a report on claims transmitted for proof of timely filing as well as the acceptance/rejections reports.

Cons: Posting manual payments. I wish you could post all in one step instead you have to add a new transaction line for payment, adjustment and patient responsibility if there is one. I would like one line where you enter the allowed amount and the adjustment is automatically taken, a place to enter the payment amount, patient responsibility for copay, coins and deductible.

Recommendations to other buyers: Look at the user friendliness and ease of use. From entering the patient demographics, add and verify insurance eligibility and then creating a ticket is seamless. The training blocks we have received provide some great training. I have each new employee view this videos before I start training them.

Pros: The thing I like most about this software is that it is easy to use, anyone can learn it quickly which saves me time on training employees. I also really like the support staff, you can call or do live chat.

Pros: Easy access to entering new CPT, ICD10 and insurance companies while in middle of charge entry. I like that I can validate/scrub all the claims and select what I want to transmit or hold

Cons: Lack of a hot key to go from patient demos to the insurance tab. You have to stop each time and use mouse.

Overall: The software is easy to use especially when entering charges, claim batching and submissions. Also if a patient changes insurance after a claim has been filed its very simple to update insurance and resubmit

Recommendations to other buyers: Create hot keys for every item in ribbon. The less stopping and using the mouse the faster the product will be to use

Pros: It is so easy to learn and is user friendly. We were able to start transmitting claims in just a few days, and Medicare which can take up to 30days was approved to transmit in less than 10days. We started receiving ERA payments within 10days of billing out. I have been in the business for 30 years and I have to say that this has been the easiest transition of setting up and billing without any problems whatsoever that I have ever experienced. The training was easy and friendly. I was really impressed with each department specializing in their own field, and the introduction and welcoming was awesome as well as the user friendly Nuebie Notes to refer to if you forgot anything during training.

Cons: I haven't experienced any cons yet, I am very happy with everything so far. I guess I would have to say the only Con that comes to mind is that I wish I had found your business a long time ago.

Overall: Its easy to use therefore I have more time to focus on other office duties than billing. It also keep things organized and tracked more efficiently

Cons: As far as the cons oh, I wish there were more email lines especially when a client has more than one email or split parents. And also an extra line on the memo underneath the email to add additional contacts for that patient.

Pros: I love how simple it is to enter EOB details in to each ticket. Monthly billing to our patients is made very simple as well and the invoices look very professional.

Cons: Our Chiropractic doctor is not fond of the SOAP note options. Since he sees so many patients often times more than once per week, it is hard for him to use the SOAP notes in this program. He prefers that the notes be transferable with all information from one visit to another because visits tend to be rather similar. He was unable to do that with this program.

Recommendations to other buyers: Absolutely do the training, it is totally worth it. It helps navigate the program with much ease.

Comments: Great product! Customer service needs a little more work but overall I would recommend this product.

Pros: This product is very easy to learn and very functional for the day to day office use and practice management.

Cons: Customer service doesn't always respond to tickets that are emailed to them. If they do respond there is never follow up to make sure the issue was totally resolved.

Pros: My expreience with NueMD was with tech support. I was having issues with java and running the program. When I was told by customer service that tech support was the department to service my issue, tech sipport took over and didn't leave me unattended until the problem was resolved and I even received a call the following day to ake sure all was well!!

Cons: Currentlhy, I am still in the process of using the functions to the fullest. What I am trying to work with is the scheduling piece.

Recommendations to other buyers: To give the program time and work with it. I recall at times I just wanted to give up and go back to the old school ways. I was determined to make the program work for our group. Nothing is perfect and all programs are going to have issues. The main piece is the supoort NueMD has that you can connect with at any time for assistance.

Pros: The support team is responsive, and will spend the time with you. You have to be vigilant and persistent, but they will not turn you away, and have a vested interest in problem solving. In our experience with other vendors, sales will get you going, but then disappear. NueMD has a robust support system (and the sales staff still responds to you after you sign up).

Cons: Can get caught up in a loop of being sent to different departments. Usually though, if you let the person you are talking about know your frustration, they will take steps to help resolve your issue. And some people are GREAT about taking ownership of client problems.

Comments: Keep up the great work!

Pros: What I like most about this product, It's very user friendly, Customer support is at your finger tips, love the tutorials, quick is easy scheduling and billing. very pleased.

Cons: the only thing I can think of is the updating of Java to run the program, some times is a pain. but once it's update it's all good.

Comments: extra buttons for expired insurances only

Pros: As a beginner computer literate person, it was very simple to follow the set up, as putting patient in, their insurance information and any documents.

Cons: in the notes tab, I would like to see where we can put the lines in order of how it would be easier for us in general to read and set apart

Pros: Easy to Use - Works and MAC and PC

Overall: When i decided to start a billing company 5 years ago i must have Demo'd about 10 different platforms. They ALL did pretty much did the same thing but what stood out about NueMD is that it was a clean ,SIMPLE, and intuitive interface. The learning curve was low and getting staff up to speed on the software takes days instead of weeks. Highly recommend this software!

Pros: Our sales rep was very thorough in helping us understand the software and it's fees. We had a couple of hiccups at first but he assisted us in fixing them. I like fact that it is cloud based product and I can work from anywhere. I also use Practice Fusion as our EMR, and they work beautifully together. My superbills are easily sent to NueMD and our insurance denials are down to a minimum.

Cons: Sometimes posting payments is a little tedious, but with all the training and our user manual; the job gets done timely.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make sure if you do some direct billing on an insurance website, the support staff take you step by step on the posting process. It's doable but sometimes confusing. Please call Michael Palmer for your sales rep. He is awesome and will help you in anyway possible.

Pros: It has simple navigation when needing to locate and track patients for appointments or other medical needs. The billing program is quick and simplified, and it does not allow room for basic errors because of the design of the software.

Cons: For some reason, the system does freeze fairly frequently. The only solution is to shut down and reboot, which does make it extremely inconvenient at times. Also, we do not use EMR at this time for the University setting. Because I really haven't found much that I didn't like, that would be something that would make the system more complete for me. I am not that knowledgeable regarding the reporting features. It is not that I am dissatisfied, but a bit inexperienced with the specifics. Support is also average, but that is because I have not had too many reasons to call upon them. Billing could be a little more supportive, but again, I have no immediate problems, so overall, it is an easy software program.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you are looking for easy and efficient navigation software, NueMD is the product of choice. I don't have firsthand reporting experience, so I would make sure that if that is what you are looking for to research that feature. From what I have seen and the little bit that I have used, the software is completely user-friendly.

Pros: I love that it is so user friendly to be honest. It has been easy to train new employees with it. The information is easy to get to under the tabs. Just plain easy to use

Cons: I don't like that all the tabs aren't available when you are in another so you have to go back then to the tab you needed

Pros: Great resources available for the small practice. A lot of automated features that enables a small practice to keep up with the fast paced ever changing health industry.

Overall: NueMD is easy to use. Its has an a great deal of resources for big and small practices. Its customer service is fast, friendly and extremely knowledgeable.

Pros: NueMD is fairly straightforward and user-friendly. There are Guru Guides that can help the user step by step with how the product works that I found both useful for training and troubleshooting. The claims log can alert you to any potential claim errors long before you would receive a remittance from the insurance carrier, and the home screen has a quick and easy display that enables users to navigate the software effortlessly.

Cons: My only complaint with this product is that there is very little claim customization (Billing Manager screen-CMS 1500 tab). This can be problematic with some claims, especially MSP.

Recommendations to other buyers: Overall, good software and easy to use. I've found that NueMD definitely makes my job easier!

Comments: The ease is nice but I need more features for the claims; such as a preview before they get sent off and get denied for some small reason.

Pros: The submission of the claims in real time helps a lot!!

Cons: Simple changes to the UB04 form for corrected claims takes too long to finish up and then send out.

Comments: It's not my favorite software. There are some things it does well. It is not intuitive or user friendly.

Pros: You can see other clinicians schedules which are helpful if you are sharing an office.

Cons: Hard to run reports. Feels like you are duplicating work when entering CPT code and then patient payment.

Comments: If you are coding for PT or DC codes the built in "scrubber" to help insurance approval is no better than any other software and it doesn't catch really any mistakes. Like I said, if you're a normal MD going about your day, i'm sure it's fine. Other than that keep looking.

Pros: This is obviously a well funded software that has thought of nearly everything when it comes to the standard medical office visit. The billing/insurance tools are really good... for MD codes.

Cons: If you are not a standard medical practitioner don't even bother. The customization is very limited and not comprehensive enough to be accepted by most insurances (especially PI cases). While it does initially have a fresh new look when you actually start using it you realize it is very click/drop-down heavy. The end result for a specialized clinic notes is less than adequate. I end up having to do a lot of typing to fill in gaps where the software doesn't even have an for macros or hot keys.

Pros: Software seemed to be easy to use. It had a nice look and feel about it. The demo made it look very simple to use.

Cons: We needed a new Medicare Portal. They had a good looking software, and they assured us it would be a breeze. We wanted to use our own staff to do the billing vs. using their people. They insisted that was fine. But when we were training to bill using their programs, it was clear they were not as skilled doing DME as they made out. My guys complained they were training their people more than they were training us. We submitted out first 10 claims, then another 10, then another 10 claims. Every single claim got rejected. They seemed to be baffled as to why. To date, I have not a single claim paid, and it has been two months.

Comments: So far this is the best billing software that I have used. I was using Lytec prior to the switch and I love it! Nuemd is so easy to learn and use. It makes claims and billing go so much faster. They really do have it figured out to help out with production. I have recommended this product to several other physician offices. The scheduler is very easy to customize to any practice schedule. Easy to use with multiple locations with out confusion!

Pros: Nuemd was very easy to adjust to. Learning it was so easy and there is such great product support. Nuemd helps make the billing so much more effective and claims are paid a lot quicker with fewer rejected claims. Also I LOVE that it is web based that way you can access it anywhere with internet. That makes a big difference with multiple locations.

Cons: There is not much that I do not like!! This really is a great product.

Recommendations to other buyers: You should definitely try this out before you try another billing software. Nuemd will really impress you with the quality and ease of the product.

Pros: The software is easy to use and have all the options to make my work mush easier. Anywhere you navigate to in the software you can go back to your original position without problem. Another thing I love about this software is that it is hard to loose information because it prompt you for information before you move on.

Cons: What I like least about the software is that in insurance, I still have a problem when I have a regular insurance and then I want to add a onetime car insurance claim, I have issues to make the pip ins just for that one insurance claim.

Recommendations to other buyers: Have an open mind, and make sure you know what you are looking for and then see what they have to offer.

Pros: It is easy for me to do my billing capabilities on.

Cons: The system seems to freeze unexpectedly and requires me to log out to fix it.

Overall: I enjoy using Nuemed. It seems to be a lot better than the previous billing softwares I have used. This system is tailored more to user functionality and allows me to track and schedule my patient reports easily.

Pros: I have been with NueMD for almost four years and could not be happier. What I love most about the product is that it is extremely user friendly and the customer service is excellent. We entered into the electronic world oblivious and NueMD made our transition basically seamless with how easy the product was to learn and use. And when there was any sort of issue, customer service was fantastic with answering the phone to walk us through it. Not only that, a customer service representative always called to follow up within the next day or two to make sure all was still going well.

Cons: I really cannot think of something I do not like about the product, but if I had to say something I like least, it would probably be that I do not know all of its capabilities because I do not have to use all the functions.

Recommendations to other buyers: I highly recommend this product. The best thing I did when looking for a program to use was talk to Erin, our sales rep, and do the tutorial walkthrough of the system. I was so impressed with how well the employees knew their product and with all the systems capabilities. I would suggest setting up an appointment to do this because it was extremely helpful.

Pros: NueMD has great customer service and the product does exactly what we want it to. It allows for scheduling and billing provides a wide array of reports we use to pull data for PQRS and other essential activities. We also really like that it is online. This has made it a hassle free system for us.

Cons: The system is not built specifically for PT but it is flexible enough that we can do exactly what we need to do.

Recommendations to other buyers: We were just looking for scheduling and billing and this was perfect. We have been using NueMD since 2007. Through it all we have received fantastic support and timely upgrades. I am 100% certain that ICD-10 will go off without a hitch due to NueMD.

Cons: Occasional freezes requiring computer restart. Runs on Java; need to reset each time there is a Java update. Live training is a waste of time and money. Advertised pricing is for new clients only; expect significant jump with renewal.

Pros: The cloud based application and data storage makes accessing our client data easy and eliminates the need for us to have servers to store data on. There are reports that can be used to drive business decisions and follow up on administrative processes.

Cons: There are a few pieces of data that I wish were more accessible via reports. We're able to search to get the data but having a report would enable us to export the data and split a project among our admin staff. Using a search to find the data makes it a little more difficult.

Recommendations to other buyers: Consider how data entry (including importing data from what ever you are currently using, will effect your practice. With any software that provides reporting your reports (and their ability to positively impact your business) are only as good as the data that gets entered into the system.

Pros: Customer Representative was exceptionally helpful with my issues when I called regarding enrolling a new physician in our practice. She worked with me, I did not feel rushed and she was very knowledgeable on all subjects. Hopefully, all is resolved but if I have any problems down the road, hope I get her for my customer support representative. Also, another representative in the EDI Department is great to work with. representative.

Cons: Getting reports on certain criteria was an issue, but improvements have been made and works better for our practice.

Pros: The software is very comprehensive covering scheduling to billing to reports. As the primary provider in my practice, I have never done any online billing, so it wasn't the easiest program to learn. However, I find the more I use it the more proficient I become, and hence, the more features of the program I can enjoy using. Customer service is especially helpful whenever I get stuck. They are able to utilize remote access of my computer to actually show me how to operate a particular feature, which I find is the easiest way to learn.

Cons: As I stated above, for someone without a billing background, it takes a good amount of time to learn and easily use all of the features of NueMD's program.

Recommendations to other buyers: Compare all of the features each program offers, as you will find NueMD to be very comprehensive. It does not just do electronic billing (by your biller or by them) but also scheduling, appointment reminders out to patients, allows for multiple insurance coverages, and hence, primary, secondary and tertiary billing, batch payments to accounts and multiple types of reports. I find the reports especially helpful to keep my practice efficient as possible.

Pros: We find the customer service is 10/10. Creating a ticket and billing are simplified. The EMR overall is user friendly. The company continues to update and mprove to the EMR.

Cons: The downsides have been the difficulty with setting up the templates for documentation, students reporting difficulties with signing in to the on-line portal.

Recommendations to other buyers: Compare charting/templates with other companies, cost benefit, and ease of billing service.

Pros: Love how versatile NueMD is.

Cons: I don't like how the system freezes at times but I know they are working on it. It has improved dramatically .

Pros: Product is easy to use navigating is easy. The sales rep was the best part of the entire experience.

Cons: Before you get to the product you have to deal with customer service and training which is the WORSE out of 20yrs billing this is the WORST customer service I have every dealt with. Training is HORRIBLE!! I had a total of 3 training sessions with 3 different people and all 3 said something different on the same topic. I did not know who to listen to.

Pros: It's user friendly and easy to use. Navigating the software is a breeze and claims submission was simple enough.

Cons: We had multiple issues with their customer service. It seemed more important to the people we were talking to to place blame instead of resolving our issues. For that reason we left.

Pros: The software is easy to use. Clearinghouse reports are timely. Learning how to use the software as well was easy.

Cons: Customer service hold times are a little long, and I don't like being locked into a contract and it appears, at least to me, that every time I have to renew a contract it gets more expensive. All of my providers are mental health providers, which are small providers and I really have to think if the cost is outweighing what I am making. I also am not a fan of most of the reports.

Recommendations to other buyers: Ask lots of questions about the contract and what happens when your contract is up.

Pros: It's easily accessible and easy to train our interns, as well as our physician, on any new features. My favorite feature is being able to recognize the pt's balance in the column on the face sheet or seeing if they have a credit.

Cons: One thing I don't like is when I'm having to revert back to certain tickets to figure out where the patient's balance comes from or where the credit comes from. Sometimes, it very time consuming; it would be easier if we could just place really old tickets that are paid and closed out in a separate area instead of having to dig for them. Other than that, I have no complaints!

Recommendations to other buyers: Really get an understanding of how the system works; it took me awhile to stop going back to my old ways, and it also was refreshing realizing how much I could do myself to save the company time and actually save me some time in the long run, as well. For instance, inputting insurance is pretty simple, but being able to choose when the insurance went into effect and to change the billing manager myself without having to scan everything made it that much better. Scanning EOBs now and posting them is also a time saver.

Comments: NueMD software has been very user friendly for me. I like that it offers the ability to:
1. Upload .pdf images directly to a patients ticket so that NueMD can immediately see it.
2. When scanning the days EOB's and Super Bills they are stored indefinitely for easy viewing if I need to go back and look at them.
3. Ability to print a report daily which reflects any tickets on hold so that I can immediately correct or provide info so claims are not held up.
4. I would like to have the ability to copy and paste when adding "A/R memos". Due to the fact that a patient can have 3-4 dates of service per week when seeing a Chiropractor, there can be several tickets that need the same message added, to copy and paste the same message would definitely save time.
5. When creating a "New" patient chart it only takes 1-2 minutes which is very nice, however the zip code field needs to be updated. I like the ability to just enter zip code and the city and state auto fill in but many times it does not pull in the correct city for the zip being entered.
6. On the insurance screen I would like to see a field labeled "Payer ID" so this is not manually typed in the "Add'l info field".

Comments: Not at the moment!

Pros: Ease of sending medical claims. And receiving the ERA's is a simple posting process. The reports that can be generated are awesome!

Cons: The lag of receiving information and the posting of money. Would like to post the payments as soon as I receive the ERA's.

Pros: The best features I personally enjoy from this product are the use of placing older tickets in the collections hold, the copay module, the notes caption (which is great for anything), and the communication with NueMd through email.

Cons: There's really not anything that I would improve on this software. If I had to choose one thing, I guess I would have to say the patients' balances being printed off onto encounters. If the patient has a balance after a certain period of time, it is your job to keep track of what they owe. This is the one thing that makes it a bit time-consuming when you're trying to first figure out a patient's balance.

Recommendations to other buyers: This software is a great tool if you're in a busy environment with an OCD attitude. The customized schedules and ability to compile things into order are not the only things to catch a newcomer's eye. The way the system works is simple and easy to understand. It's helpful to keep an eye on tickets to see what patients owe and what their insurance has paid. There are features to add pop-ups to any patient as you please, and if you want answers fast, NueMD is the way to go!

NueMD provides our multi-disciplinary clinic with everything we were looking for and more!

Comments: Great product and we are all very happy with it!

Pros: NueMD is very intuitive, making it easy to use from day one. We are a multi-disciplinary clinic, and NueMD supports the needs of each discipline smoothly. I love how I can see the schedule for every provider in the clinic at one easy glance.

Cons: NueMD does not seem to "Auto Refresh," so I have to keep clicking the Refresh button to see any schedule changes that are made up at our front desk. Also, NueMD does not allow for double-booking two patients at the same time for a single provider. So if two patients are scheduled for me at one time, the front desk has to schedule one patient in a different 15min time block, and this sometimes causes a little confusion on when the patient is actually scheduled to come in.

Pros: The product is a great and simple product for those new and old to medical billing and coding. The software is a great product for Doctor as well, though our company mainly uses it for patient and charge entry. Checking eligibility is easy and quick and the services are great.

Cons: It's rare, but sometimes NueMD can be a bit slow. During the transition from ICD9 to ICD10 services were a bit slow for one day, but they picked up right away.

Recommendations to other buyers: Overall the software is great, but another thing to mention is that they are already updating from ICD9 to ICD10, this means your codes will automatically be ready by October this year for the change. Truly a helpful and great service from a great company.

Used 3 different EMR systems and this is by far the best.

Cons: Occasionally goes down with Java. Has to be reloaded and downloaded again when Java fails requiring more time.

Comments: When I was training I would ask questions and the trainer did not know how to perform the functions.

Pros: Ease of use for scheduling. Reminder text and calls. Note system is easy to use. Statements easy to review and print.

Cons: Separating cases for insurance, self-pay, and auto. Charge for every little thing. Response to questions. Only being able to find patients by their last name. Too generic of a message for text reminders.

Comments: Their transfer of old data from a previous system is sparse and it is easier to save money and do it manually.

Pros: Sorta easy to use but why everything has to be refreshed even when it is the first time on a particular section makes no sense.

Cons: Absolutely no follow up with EDI enrollment. First they never sent the EDI enrollment for Medicare, we had to follow up with Medicare to find out what the status was. Once we found out that they never sent over the enrollment we had to have NueMD send over the enrollment and get everything set up. That was their job, not ours.

Comments: This is my first experience using an electronic health record system. It is easy to use and the options that we have are working well for us. Our department has learned much about this program in a self taught setting in addition to the initial training. My recommendation to new buyers is to include in your contract one or two follow up training sessions. There are many applications that are useful but at first you're not aware of them and when you do become aware that's the time to have the follow up training session. I personally utilize the "help" button often, but there are times when it's necessary to talk to a live person who is knowledgeable about the usage of the program.

Pros: This product is easy to use especially if you're a first time user.

Cons: could use more training sessions within the first year of the contract

Recommendations to other buyers: ask about the customer service portion of it

Pros: It is very user-friendly. I can train a new employee in a matter of hours on the basic usage. I also love the fact that we can use the Claims screen to follow up on unpaid claims without having to print a report and pull up the tickets individually.

Cons: There are some things I would change about the reports. Also, I think the support could improve.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make a list of what your requirements for a software are before you start looking. Include your "must-haves" as well as features that would be nice but are not required for your practice to run smoothly. Then, compare everything you look at to your list.

Pros: I like that billing and scheduling can be done on the same product.

Cons: There are some issues with getting locked out of the system and having to restart. Also, there are some issues with billing not being sent to the insurance company, and it has to be resent again at a later date. I have not personally used customer support, but I was told by a co-worker that customer support would not help them without us paying. I do not think that it a good way for customer support to help it's clients.

Recommendations to other buyers: I think the customer support should be tested. I also think that there should be information evaluated about the billing and scheduling side.

Pros: It keeps me organized

Cons: I wish it had a window for the previous notes, that I could open at the same time I am charting in real time. (for reference)

Overall: When our office switched to paperless it was with much fear I began using NueMD. After about 2 weeks of use, I can now see the benefit. I can chart much more quickly and have all my notes in one convenient place. This is both a time, space, and money saver.

Pros: It has comprehensive tools and and is easy to use. Once the initial data is entered, subsequent sessions are easy to bill. I only recently realized that I could have been saving myself hours on the phone by entering potential clients' insurance data into the system to get electronic reporting of their insurance coverage. Support has always been helpful and available, as promised. Considering the complexity of insurance billing, I'm certain that I would have had major headaches and chaos without a workable system like this one. I have known agencies that had a chaotic billing function, which could have been avoided with NueMD.

Cons: At times, the billing statement function was difficult to access. This was usually resolved with a call to Support.

Recommendations to other buyers: NueMD is good for small, medium, and large practices. Many small practices look for the free or low-cost services. In general, that is false economy, because nothing is free.

Comments: We have used other PM software in the past, as a different practice, but this one by far is the best.

Pros: Ease of use, great customer service. We were using paper charts before, this is our first system using ER, and it has been so easy to pick up.

Cons: not really anything, other than the training for the nurses and doctors could have been a little more in depth

NueMD is great software with many features to make organization simplified.

Pros: The ease of use is the first positive. Working with customer rep made setting everything up simple. We were able to use our own forms to build templates making record keeping user friendly.

Cons: I haven't had any to report at this time. If there was one thing I would call a con is the slight delay it takes to sign in each time.

Pros: We love the fact that we can directly post our payments to our patients accounts through NueMD's batch system.

Cons: There is not much that we do not like about this product. If we had one thing to say it would be that we would like to see a more comprehensive development in the reporting module of the product

Recommendations to other buyers: I would recommend this product to any medical practice looking for a great user friendly software that will meet the growing need of the provider community

Pros: The software is extremely easy to use. The screens show you what needs to be completed, and there are many reports that you can run with the ability to customize them based on your needs. If I ever have any questions, the vendor is always available to help. My account manager not only helps, but she explains things to me so that I have a better understanding of how it works.

Cons: I would like to be able to enter more then one patient record for the same patient. I would also like to be able to copy a note on a hold ticket and paste the same note on other tickets. This would enable me to send messages to the vendor for a patient with multiple tickets much much faster.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make sure that you thoroughly understand the system before assuming that it does not work the way you want it to. I have learned to check things more thoroughly before I state that something is not working correctly. The software has a lot of functionality if you learn to use it properly.

Pros: We are able to bill and schedule for our patients in one system. We do not have to go from system to bill and schedule.

Cons: After 4 diagnosis codes I wish we could tab or enter and continue on to the date to enter the tickets. Sometimes I only have 4 and it's a little frustrating to stop typing in the middle of a ticket to click to get to the next step.

Recommendations to other buyers: Give NueMD a try. You can't go wrong. The functionality and flow of the system is great!

Pros: The software itself is absolutely easy to use and comes with everything our Cardiology practice needs. NueMD contains highly customizable EHR templates, updated ICD's, and simplifies our patient encounter process. Our Cardiologist's take less time typing or dictating their reports and spend more face time encounters with their patient's. NueMD's software has improved our practice's overall efficiency and has added significant value. We are able to synchronize our ultrasound and nuclear imaging reports seamlessly to each patient's record and are able to correspond all encounters to referring MD's with breeze. Surprisingly, the best part about this product, is their support system. They are all very sweet, helpful, and accomodating!

Cons: None. The price is very competitive compared to other EHR software's. I'm amazed how other EHR vendors could charge more and provide less. NueMD definitely has the best value for one's buck!

Recommendations to other buyers: Try them out and tell them your current EHR or practice management problems. See how they can help minimize and eliminate most of it.

I'm very impressed with this software and the people who represent it!

Pros: There are several things that really stand out to make this a great product, such as its user-friendliness, the fast and thorough reports, and the training representative, who exceeded our expectations with training and customer service. I like that I can call and get a customer service representative on the phone - in person with very little wait time. The Billing/Financial feature stands out amongst its competitors with clean tracking and submitting claims and reports.

Cons: I would like the capability to fax straight from the EHR and the capability to turn encounters into letters. Uploading EHR files from an outside vendor takes entirely too long. We've been been waiting for over six weeks for the file transition.

Recommendations to other buyers: There are too many positives about this software to not consider it. I like that NueMD offers a workaround for the things that they are lacking yet plan to implement in the future.
