I would say it's generally positive especially when it comes to me handling administrative tasks and billing processes in healthcare settings.

Pros

I like the fact that it's a strong billing tools for mid size healthcare system, helping other integrated software product lacking billing and scheduling system to function well on it. Also with a good internet connection you can access patient files anywhere not necessarily in the office.

Cons

I usually experience slow response time with customer support when dealing with technical issues and questions regarding billing.

I believe that NueMD requires some quality updates to compete with other EMRs on the market.

Pros

The product had a decent scheduling system.

Cons

I had to write my notes in Microsoft word. There was no integrated system.

It was okay, I wish the product was easier to use because billing is great.

Pros

Cons

SOAP notes are difficult to process, printing records can be monotonous.

Pros

We use it mostly for scheduling and entering patients. It is super easy to use, even without training you can figure out how to enter patients and book appointments.

Cons

Not all reports work. It is missing some important reports as well, like a report of entered patients even if they have not been scheduled. Just a list of entered patients for the day/month and their contact info.

At first, I was skeptical because they require $500 per month to use their software, but I couldn't find any other solutions, so I went with them. They were helpful and lots of people reaching out to me to get set up, which was helpful. My first billing specialist just dropped off the planet, and I had to reach out, after about 3 weeks of not hearing from her, to the company to find out what was happening with my account. If I hadn't, I'm sure my small practice would have been forgotten. They then set me up with another specialist and we had a great repoire, which lasted about a year and half. Then I find out that another company bought NMD back in the fall of 2019, which no one told me about, and again, things were falling through the cracks. The general phone number no longer worked, my specialist would take days to get back with me, and I was spending hours every week following up on bills and finding out what was going on.....all still while I was paying $500 a month. Found out my billing specialist was moved to another area and I was the one who had to reach out to get help. I finally saw the writing on the wall in January and immediately cancelled my contract. They require a 90 days notice to end the contract, which I thought, after I'd communicated several times that I was really unhappy with their service, that we'd finalize all work and end my payments to them by February. I just saw that I have another $500 bill in my credit card statement for March.

Pros

Nothing. It was difficult to use. Adding new DX codes required communication with a billing specialist. I had to dig deep to find old accounts and whether they were paid or not

Cons

Software was fine, but really difficult to use, as I'm a doctor and not an IT person. I had to call everytime I needed help with something

Our providers absolutely HATE this EMR. Way too long to chart anything and extremely complicated. If someone views an encounter while you are working on it you LOSE everything you wrote. No way to fix this and NO NOTICE. Extreme wait times for customer service with personnel who don't know their own system and give you WRONG information frequently. Save yourself a lot of grief and AVOID this system!

Pros

bidirectional billing for easier accounting.

Acquired shortly after we implemented, with HORRIBLE support afterwards. No longer supporting the product and refuse to make any enhancements or fix any problems.

Advanced Md who owns NueMd has been a terrible experience. You may think you are saving money by going with this software but I promise you it will be something you soon regret.

Pros

Whatever the pros are they are so outweighed by the awful customer service, program instability and misleading sales reps that they are not worth mentioning.

Cons

God help you if you have to electronically prescribe controlled substances. A true nightmare. We had tickets for issues that were never resolved after literally years of repeated attempts. And I’m the end after we moved to another ehr they are charging HUNSREDS of dollars for storage for read access only until we sort out our AR. Greedy useless company incapable of producing a functional ehr.
