I would, do and have recommended NueMD for a practice management system. It is very easy to learn and does a great job on claim follow up.

Pros

Easy to use. Ability to stay on top of AR and patient responsibility is far superior to any other PM system I have used in the past.

Cons

The inability to create any type of custom report.

Very easy to access, and maneuver around.. and it works great for each department. and the customer service is great and very helpful. That means a lot.

Cons

Too easy to make duplicate accounts. Need stronger prompts.

I have been in the medical world for 20 years. I have used many different computer programs in this time. This program does not have as many bells and whistles as many programs but do we really use all of that. When I started looking to make a change I wanted very easy and self explanatory, NueMd is that product. I can train someone how to use this program in 20 minutes. Now I hope they don't start adding bells and whistles so my training time is short.

Pros

The ease of adding, looking up and changing things.

Cons

There are a couple of things on the billing page I would change but not much.

We signed up with NUEMD a few months ago, great product and price, we are a bit different and use the EMR in a totally different way. My company has several Dr. Offices we work under so having an EMR that I can customize and set up to our liking is great. The staff has been awesome in helping with the implementation of the product. If they make mistakes on your account they are quick to fix and refund if necessary. We would recommend this EMR to any Dr. Office that wants to save money from the higher end expensive EMR systems

Pros

The reports are amazing on how we can track our patients and funds.

Pros

Cloud based makes it convenient. It is one of the least expense options.

Cons

Very little assistance with setup. The amount of training time provided (without additional fees) was insufficient even for someone who is computer savvy. Troubleshooting with customer service (if you're available to call them during business hours M-F 8-5) is a dead-end much of the time.

My experience with NueMD has been an easy and friendly user software. The billing portion of the program is extremely easy to do all the billing in a matter of minutes, also when I call for tech support there's always a live person to speak to and tell them your problems and they explain to you as well help you along the way in navigating the software to better understand it.

Pros

the most I like about this product is that this software NueMD is very friendly user and easy to navigate through. Also, the Tech-Support team is wonderful very helpful and knowledgeable

Pros

The software is extremely easy to use. The screens show you what needs to be completed, and there are many reports that you can run with the ability to customize them based on your needs. If I ever have any questions, the vendor is always available to help. My account manager not only helps, but she explains things to me so that I have a better understanding of how it works.

Cons

I would like to be able to enter more then one patient record for the same patient. I would also like to be able to copy a note on a hold ticket and paste the same note on other tickets. This would enable me to send messages to the vendor for a patient with multiple tickets much much faster.

Pros

NueMD navigational design is very user-friendly. Moving from one module to another is extremely easy. The scheduler is intuitive for any new employee.

Cons

The biggest challenge with NueMD is acquiring the data necessary for business analysis. I would like to see them put an emphasis on developing a more robust interface with Excel or similar software.

Medical billing software, in general, is stuck in dark ages. Needs to have proper UX redesign.

Pros

Once you get to know it, it actually does the job of submitting invoices. The support team is very helpful.

Cons

The software is not intuitive and not designed with the user in mind. Lacks such simple conveniences as copy and paste.

Very un-intuitive design, but once it's set up, it works

Pros

It's reliable, it connects electronically with some insurance companies, receives ERAs and updates claims very fast. The support is decent.

Cons

Very badly designed interface, one cannot copy-and -paste information, the "logs" are hard to read.

Pros

I like that it is cloud based, and that means I can work from the office, from home, or even when I am on vacation or out of town on business

Cons

I think some of the processes could be, or should be, streamlined to allow further ease of use

Pros

I like the ease of navigating through the applications. I like the fact many areas will pre-populate, and I like that I can navigate my selections with enter or tab. The vendor is most often available and ready to help when a problem arises.

Cons

There isn't much I don't like about this product. I would like to be able to search patients by birthdate. I would like the reports feature to be a bit easier to navigate/set up. There's no problem with the daily/monthly/yearly reports; it is when I try to do a specific transaction or receivable report that I get confused. The vendor is always helpful when I have questions or problems with reports.

Pros

The best features I personally enjoy from this product are the use of placing older tickets in the collections hold, the copay module, the notes caption (which is great for anything), and the communication with NueMd through email.

Cons

There's really not anything that I would improve on this software. If I had to choose one thing, I guess I would have to say the patients' balances being printed off onto encounters. If the patient has a balance after a certain period of time, it is your job to keep track of what they owe. This is the one thing that makes it a bit time-consuming when you're trying to first figure out a patient's balance.

Pros

It is Windows-based.

Cons

That there are a few things it does not offer. Examples: You cannot print the memo notes on a specific ticket. When you place a ticket on hold, it does not show the balance in the patient's ledger. There are also a few other functionally issues that would be helpful on the billing side of the software.

Overall we are very pleased with NueMD and would highly recommend. Whenever we have questions or concerns, one of the team members assigned to our company responds within 24 hours.... most of the time within 2-3 hours!

Pros

ease of use quick response rate with questions we no longer have to wait on hold with insurance company with denials great training sessions

Cons

switching between auto, w/c, pi and regular cases - not sure if the correct insurance company gets assigned to the correct case

The billing was being done by an individual, who left us with a mess. With NewMD being so user friendly, we are able to navigate the system and figure out corrections and complete the corrections In a matter of no time

Pros

Everything is in one spot, click a few clicks and you can create the patient profile, bill, post and check eligibility and do scheduling of appointments and set up patient reminders. The possibilities of the NewMD software are endless and amazing so user friendly.

Pros. Billing, practice management, easy to navigate, interconnected, call reminders. Nice icd9 to icd10 mapping Cons. Takes time to set up to use initally, need to create templates, build list of cpt, and dx codes. Overall software does what I need. It continues to get better with each update
